RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Our previous studies have proposed the bodyweight support-t'ai chi (BWS-TC) footwork training for stroke survivors with severe motor dysfunction and fear of falling, and have proven its positive effects for motor function. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) provides a non-invasive and safe way to modulate neuronal activity and provoke neuroplastic changes and to improve the motor function of stroke survivors. However, it is unclear whether the integration of BWS-TC and tDCS has synergistic effects on improving motor function of the stroke survivors. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: This study will be an assessor-blinded randomised controlled trial involving 12-week intervention and 6-month follow-up. One hundred and thirty-five individuals with stroke will be randomly divided in a ratio of 1:1:1 into three groups. Control group A, control group B and intervention group C will receive tDCS and conventional rehabilitation programmes (CRPs), BWS-TC and CRP, tDCS-BWS-TC and CRP for 12 weeks, respectively. The primary outcome measures will include the efficacy (Fugl-Meyer Assessment), acceptability and safety of these interventions. The secondary outcome measures will include balance ability (ie, limits of stability and modified clinical test of sensory integration), walking function, brain structure and function, risk of falling, Barthel Index and 36-Item Short Form Survey. All outcomes will be assessed at baseline, 6 and 12 weeks during intervention, and 1, 3 and 6 months during the follow-up period. Two-way analysis of variance with repeated measures will be applied to examine the main effects of the group and the time factor and group-time interaction effects for all outcome measures. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION: Ethics approval was obtained from the ethics committee of the Shanghai Seventh People's Hospital (2021-7th-HIRB-017). The results of the study will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and presented at scientific conferences. TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: ChiCTR2200059329.

RESUMO

The development of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) information model is needed to promote the coordinated development of TCM information research and application on a global scale, and it is of great significance to promote the use of TCM data. Based on the 13 years of experience in the development of the ISO standard for the TCM information model, we introduced and discussed the development background, development platform, internationality and classification of the standard development. We determined the necessity of the ISO standard of TCM information model to be independent of modern medical information model standard, the necessity of developing standards on a large scientific platform, and the necessity of health informatics experts participating in standard development. We summarized the main points of international and domestic coordination. We emphasized the balance between the overall layout and new areas development, and the importance of application and promotion.

RESUMO

This study analyzed the current clinical terminology standardization, systematization research status of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). The previous version of the TCM clinical term system had some problems including imperfect classification structure, unclear relationship between concepts and so on, which made the TCM clinical terminology system(TCMCTS) difficult to support the clinical practice of TCM. The suggestions for system improvement were using ontology method to build TCMCTS concept model bases on the previous researches and data extracted from TCM clinical electronic medical record, and top-level-ontology accordance with ISO standards. The study also tried to summarize the ‘semantic network between classes’ through semantic relationships.

RESUMO

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To establish an early warning model to simulate the outbreak of influenza based on weather conditions and Yunqi theory, an ancient calendar theory of Chinese medicine (CM).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Tianjin, a northeastern city in China, was chosen as the region of research and applied the influenza-like illness attack rate (ILI)% as the baseline and warning line to determine the severity of influenza epidemic. Then, an influenza early warning model was constructed based on the theory of rough set and support vector machines (RS-SVM), and the relationship between influenza and meteorology was explored through analyzing the monitoring data.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The predictive performance of the model was good, which had achieved 81.8% accuracy when grouping the obtained data into three levels that represent no danger, danger of a light epidemic, and danger of a severe epidemic. The test results showed that if the host qi and guest qi were not balanced, this kind of situation was more likely to cause influenza outbreaks.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The outbreak of influenza closely relates to temperature, humidity, visibility, and wind speed and is consistent with some part of CM doctrine. The result also indicates that there is some reasonable evidence in the Yunqi theory.</p>
