RESUMO

To identify the active constituents, core targets, immunomodulatory functions and potential mechanisms of Dizhi pill (DZP) in the treatment of myopia. The active constituents and drug targets of DZP were searched in the TCMSP, Herb databases and correlational studies. The targets of myopia were searched in the TTD, Genecards, OMIM and Drugbank databases. Gene expression profile data of GSE136701 were downloaded from the GEO database and subjected to WGCNA and DEG analysis to screen for significant modules and targets of myopia. Intersectional targets of myopia and DZP and core targets of myopia were analyzed through the String database. The GO and KEGG enrichment analyses of the interested targets were conducted. Cibersort algorithm was used for immune infiltration analysis to investigate the immunomodulatory functions of DZP on myopia. Autodock was used to dock the important targets and active constituents. Eight targets (STAT3, PIK3CA, PIK3R1, MAPK1, MAPK3, HSP90AA1, MIP, and LGSN) and 5 active constituents (Quercetin, Beta-sitosterol, Diincarvilone A, Ferulic acid methyl ester, and Naringenin) were identified from DZP. In pathways identified by the GO and KEGG enrichment analyses, "ATP metabolic process" and "AGE-RAGE diabetes complication signaling" pathways were closely related to the mechanisms of DZP in the treatment of myopia. Molecular docking showed that both the intersectional targets and core targets of myopia could bind stably and spontaneously with the active constituents of DZP. This study suggested that the mechanisms of DZP in the treatment of myopia were related to active constituents: Quercetin, Beta-sitosterol, Diincarvilone A, Ferulic acid methyl ester and Naringenin, intersectional targets: STAT3, PIK3CA, PIK3R1, MAPK1, MAPK3, and HSP90AA1, core targets of myopia: MIP and LGSN, AGE-RAGE signaling pathway, positive regulation of ATP metabolic process pathway and immunomodulatory functions.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of serum miR-124 and miR-200C combined with ultrasound NT in screening Down syndrome (DS) in elderly puerperae during the second trimester. Methods: 84 elderly pregnant women at high risk of DS were included (DS group: 58, non-DS group: 26). Serum markers (uE3, ß-hCG, AFP, miR-124, and miR-200C) were measured. Differences in markers between groups were analyzed, and a prediction model was used for DS evaluation. Results: The DS group showed higher smoking, drinking, and radiation exposure rates (P < .05). MOM values of ß-hCG and AFP were higher, while MOM value of uE3 was lower in the DS group (P < .05). MiR-124 and miR-200C were up-regulated in the DS group (P < .05). The prediction model and ROC curve analysis indicated the diagnostic value of the markers for DS (AUC = 0.779, 0.817, 0.780, 0.884, 0.887, P < .05). MiR-124 had the highest diagnostic specificity. Conclusion: MiR-124 and miR-200C can serve as auxiliary serum markers for early screening of DS in elderly puerperae during the second trimester.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Linggui Zhugan decoction (LZD) as an adjunct treatment of premature contraction in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, ClinicalTrials.gov Cochrane Library, Chinese Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, Sino Med, and VIP database were searched from inception until July 2022. Two reviewers independently selected randomized controlled trials assessing the effectiveness of LZD combined with conventional antiarrhythmic drugs in treating premature contraction in patients with coronary heart disease compared to conventional antiarrhythmic drugs only. The clinical effectiveness was considered as the primary outcome, and the times of premature junctional beats in 24 h after treatment along with adverse reactions were considered secondary outcomes. The Cochrane risk of bias 2 tool was used for the risk of bias assessment. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.4.1. and RStudio software. Results: A total of 14 studies including 1,236 participants were included. The primary outcome indicated that, compared with antiarrhythmic drugs alone (especially ß receptor blockers), the combination of LZD and conventional antiarrhythmic drugs resulted in higher clinical effectiveness (RR = 1.29, 95% CI: [1.22,1.36]) and lower number of premature junctional beats in 24 h (MD = -71.14, 95% CI: [-76.23, -66.06]) at end-of-intervention. The differences in adverse reactions (RR = 0.42, 95%CI: [0.15, 1.14], p = 0.09) were not significant. The risk of bias was marginally high among the studies. Funnel plot and Harbord's test (t = 1.63, p = 0.1346) indicated no existence of publication bias. Conclusion: The current evidence shows that LZD can increase the effectiveness of conventional antiarrhythmic drugs for treating premature contraction in patients with coronary heart disease. However, the results should be interpreted with caution because of the high overall risk of bias. Future studies with appropriate randomization and double-blind methods are warranted to confirm these findings. Background: Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) is a common complication in patients with advanced lung cancer that can severely compromise the quality of life and limit life expectancy. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have shown that Chinese herbal injections (CHIs) may be beneficial in improving quality of life. This network meta-analysis (NMA) aims to explore several CHIs used for lung cancer patients with MPE. Methods: Seven databases were systematically searched for eligible RCTs from inception to November 2021. The primary outcome was the clinical effective rate. Secondary outcomes were the improvement rate of Karnofsky performance status (KPS) score and incidence of adverse events (AEs). The Cochrane risk of bias 2 tool was used to assess the quality of included studies. Data analysis was performed using STATA 16.0 and R software 4.1.0. Both pairwise meta-analysis and Bayesian NMA were conducted. Competing interventions were ranked using the surface under the cumulative ranking (SUCRA) probabilities. Evidence grading was evaluated using the Confidence in Network Meta-Analysis online software (https://cinema.ispm.unibe.ch/). Results: A total of 44 studies involving 2,573 patients were included. The combined Huachansu injection (HCS) with intrapleural cisplatin (cis-diamminedichloro-platinum, DDP) had the highest probability of improving the clinical effective rate (SUCRA, 84.33%). The Kangai injection (KA) combined with DDP had the most improvement rate of KPS score (SUCRA, 80.82%), while the Fufangkushen injection (FFKS) alone was more likely to reduce AEs including gastrointestinal reactions (SUCRA, 89.92%), leukopenia (SUCRA, 91.85%), and chest pain (SUCRA, 98.17%). FFKS combined with DDP ranked the best in reducing the incidence of fever (SUCRA, 75.45%). Conclusions: Our NMA showed that CHIs alone or combined with DDP could improve clinical effectiveness and quality of life and reduce AEs, compared to DDP alone. HSC and KA, combined with DDP, may be the most effective considering clinical effective rate and improvement of KPS score, respectively. FFKS, either used alone or in combination therapy with DDP, may be the best in reducing AEs. However, high-quality RCTs with larger sample sizes are needed to further support the evidence. This paper addresses the mixture symptom mention problem which appears in the structuring of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). We accomplished this by disassembling mixture symptom mentions with entity relation extraction. Over 2,200 clinical notes were annotated to construct the training set. Then, an end-to-end joint learning model was established to extract the entity relations. A joint model leveraging a multihead mechanism was proposed to deal with the problem of relation overlapping. A pretrained transformer encoder was adopted to capture context information. Compared with the entity extraction pipeline, the constructed joint learning model was superior in recall, precision, and F1 measures, at 0.822, 0.825, and 0.818, respectively, 14% higher than the baseline model. The joint learning model could automatically extract features without any extra natural language processing tools. This is efficient in the disassembling of mixture symptom mentions. Furthermore, this superior performance at identifying overlapping relations could benefit the reassembling of separated symptom entities downstream.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese patent medicine for mild-to-moderate active ulcerative colitis (UC) using network meta-analysis (NMA). METHODS: We systematically searched PubMed, Cochrane library, Embase, Sino-Med, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, and Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP) databases to October, 2020. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on Chinese patent medicine for mild-to-moderate active UC. The main analysis was complemented by network subanalyses and standard pairwise comparisons. Statistical heterogeneity, inconsistencies, and ranking probability were also evaluated. RESULTS: The databases search identified 3222 citations, of which 33 RCTs involving 2971 patients met the inclusion criteria. A total of 15 Chinese patent medicines were analyzed. The overall quality of the included studies was low. Pairwise meta-analysis showed that Chinese patent medicine was superior to Mesalazine in improving disappearances of clinical symptoms, recurrence rate, and Mayo score. Based on decreases in adverse events, results from NMA showed that Xilei powder plus Mesalazine was more effective than other drugs. Other NMA results indicated that Danshen freeze-dried powder plus Mesalazine (RR: 0.13; 95% CI, 0.02-0.78) and Kangfuxin lotion plus Mesalazine (RR: 0.24; 95% CI, 0.07-0.57) were superior to Mesalazine in decreasing recurrence rate. Another NMA result indicated that Kangfuxin lotion plus Mesalazine (RR: 0.00; 95% CI, 0.00-0.02) and Zhi Kang capsule plus Mesalazine (RR: 0.00; 95% CI, 0.00-0.02) were superior to Mesalazine in increasing the disappearance of tenesmus. CONCLUSION: In the probability sorting, Xilei powder combined with Mesalazine ranked first for having the fewest adverse events, Maintaining Intestines Antidiarrheal Pills combined with Mesalazine ranked first for having the lowest recurrence rate, Xilei powder combined with Mesalazine ranked first for improving disappearance rate of mucopurulent bloody stool/abdominal pain, and Kangfuxin lotion combined with Mesalazine ranked first for improving the disappearance rate of diarrhea/tenesmus. However, there is a lack of direct comparisons among Chinese patent medicines for UC. More multiarm RCTs are needed in the future to provide direct comparative evidence.

BACKGROUND: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been a proposed treatment option for ulcerative colitis (UC), however it has been difficult to understand the breadth and depth of evidence as various Chinese medicine therapies may produce effects differently. The aim of this evidence mapping is to visually understand the available evidence in the use of TCM in the treatment of UC, and to identify gaps in evidence to inform priorities of future research. METHODS: A systematic electronic literature search of six databases were performed to identify systematic reviews (SRs) on different Chinese medicine therapies in the treatment in UC. Methodological quality of the included SRs was assessed using AMSTAR 2. RESULTS: The mapping was based on 73 SRs, which included nine interventions that met eligibility criteria. The quality of the included SRs was very low. The diseases stages of patients with UC varied greatly, from active to remission, to non-acute outbreak, to not reported. The results mostly favored the method of intervention. Oral administration combined with enema was the most widely used route of administration in secondary research. CONCLUSION: Based on the current evidence, the treatment of UC with TCM can only be recommended cautiously. A majority of included SRs did not report the location of the disease, the disease classification, and the route of administration of the intervention. Further research is needed on the effectiveness of Chinese medicine alone in the treatment of UC. The effectiveness of combined Chinese and conventional medicine combined with different routes of administration cannot be confirmed. Attention should be paid to the methodological quality of the systematic review. Unifies the outcome indicators used in the evaluation of effectiveness.

This paper analyzes the thermoelastic responses of skin tissue during laser irradiation based on a generalized dual-phase-lag (DPL) model. The method of separation of variables is utilized to obtain the analytical solutions for thermal and mechanical responses. The influences of some crucial parameters on temperature, displacement and stress evolutions are discussed, including the phase lag of heat flux, the phase lag of temperature gradient and the phase lag of laser pulse, the coupling factor between tissue and blood, the porosity of tissue, the equivalent diameter of tissue and the diameter of blood vessels. The generalized DPL bio-heat transfer model predicts different results from those by the classical DPL model and Pennes model. The equivalent diameter of tissue affects the coupling factor between tissue and blood, while the diameter of blood vessels mainly affects the porosity of tissue.

The present study aimed to explore the effect of Erxian Decoction on proteomics of osteoblasts stimulated by hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) and its protective mechanism with the H_2O_2-induced cell model of oxidative stress. The primary osteoblasts were cultured from the skulls of newborn rats(within 24 hours) and divided into a control group, a model group, a Fosamax group, and an Erxian Decoction group. Blank serum was added in the control group and model group, and the drug-containing serum was added correspondingly to the remaining two groups. After 45 hours, H_2O_(2 )stimulation was conducted for three hours except for the control group, followed by protein extraction. Nano-LC-LTQ-Orbitrap system was used for protein detection, Protein Discovery for protein identification, and SIEVE for quantitative and qualitative analysis. Furthermore, following the blocking of PI3 K signaling pathway by LY294002(10 µmol·L~(-1)), a control group, a model group, an LY294002 group, an Erxian Decoction group, and an Erxian Decoction + LY294002 group were set up to observe the effect of Erxian Decoction on cell proliferation, alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity, and the relative expression of BMP-2, OPG, p-Akt, p-FoxO1 of osteoblasts stimulated by H_2O_2 under LY294002 intervention. The results revealed that 78 differential proteins were discovered between the Erxian Decoction group and model group, which were involved in the regulation of PI3 K/Akt, glucagon, estrogen, insulin, and other signaling pathways. LY294002 blunted the promoting effect of Erxian Decoction on osteoblast proliferation and significantly down-regulated the expression of OPG and p-FoxO1, whereas its down-regulation on the expression of BMP-2 and p-Akt was not significant. Both LY294002 and Erxian Decoction increased the ALP activity of osteoblasts, which may be related to the cell state and the cell differentiation. The above results suggest that Erxian Decoction can protect osteoblasts stimulated by H_2O_2, with the PI3 K/Akt signaling pathway as one of the internal mechanisms.

Thermal ablation is an efficient method of medical treatment, such as cancer therapy, wound closure, laser cutting, freckle removal and other treatments. In order to guarantee the curative effect and the safety of the patients, the thermal response of the tissue which is subjected to the heat source need to be carefully monitored. However, it is too difficult to achieve real-time monitoring on the full-field temperature. In the present study, efforts were made to build up a theoretical model for the prediction of the thermal response in the human skin. The Dual-Phase-Lag (DPL) bio-heat transfer model and the Henrique's burn assessment model were employed to describe the interaction of multi-pulse heat source and the skin. The repeated multi-pulse laser is a common heat source in the thermal treatment and the thermal responses of the skin would be complicated under the common effects of the non-Fourier effects and the multi-pulse source. The Green's function approach was used to solve the governing equations analytically. The closed-form solution for the temperature distribution of the skin was obtained and the thermal damage was estimated based on the temperature results. The influences of the biological parameters (the phase lags of the heat flux and the temperature gradient) and the heat source parameters (the pulse number and the duty ratio) on the temperature distribution, the burn degree and the irreversible burn depth of the irradiated region were discussed.

BACKGROUND: Ulcerative colitis, characterized by diarrhea, bloody stools and abdominal pain, is a chronic, idiopathic inflammatory disease of the colonic mucosa. In recent years, the incidence of ulcerative colitis presents an increasing trend year by year. Acupuncture, as a potential effective treatment for ulcerative colitis, is widely used in clinical practice. METHODS: We searched PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Chinese CBM Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese VIP Information, and Wanfang Database from the date of the establishment of each database up to March, 2019. We included randomized controlled clinical trials (RCT) comparing acupuncture versus conventional conventional medicine or comparing acupuncture combined with conventional medicine versus conventional medicine in participants with ulcerative colitis. Two authors screened all references, assessed the risk of bias and extracted data independently. We summarized data using risk ratios (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) for binary outcomes. We performed meta-analyses using random effects model. We assessed overall quality of evidence using GRADE. RESULTS: We included 13 RCTs (1030 participants, 515 in the acupuncture group and 515 in the control group). Only one study tested head acupuncture, and the other 12 tested body acupuncture. The treatment duration ranged from 14 to 60 days. Seven trials compared acupuncture alone versus conventional medicine, and six compared acupuncture combined with conventional medicine versus conventional medicine. Acupuncture combined with mesalazine showed better clinical effect (improved clinical symptoms, colonoscopy results and stool examination results) (RR 1.25, 95% CI 1.19 to 1.41; 232 participants; 4 trials; low quality evidence) and better colonoscopy curative effect (RR 1.33, 95% CI 1.04 to 1.71; 108 participants; 2 trials; moderate quality evidence) compared to mesalazine. Acupuncture showed better clinical effect compared to the combination of metronidazole and sulfasalazine (RR 1.21, 95%CI 1.10, 1.34; 318 participants; 3 trials; moderate quality evidence). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between groups. CONCLUSIONS: Both acupuncture alone and acupuncture combined with conventional medicine may be effective in treating ulcerative colitis compared to conventional medicine. Our findings must be interpreted with caution due to high or unclear risk of bias of the included trials.

The hyperthermia is an efficient technique for tumor treatment, in which the tumor is subjected to a heating source, such as laser, supersonic or electromagnetic field. In order to improve the therapeutic efficiency and to protect the surrounding healthy tissues, gold nanoshells are embedded in the tumor as the additive to make it absorb more thermal energy than the healthy tissues. In the present study, a one-dimensional three-layered model is established to investigate the thermal response of the bio-tissue in the hyperthermia treatment for subcutaneous tumor. The governing equations are solved analytically by using the Green's function method and the Henriques' model is employed to evaluate the degree of thermal damage in the target tissue. The influences of the volumetric density of gold nanoshells on the temperature distribution and thermal damage are discussed in detail. When the gold nanoshells are embedded with a proper density, it can improve the efficiency of tumor killing and protecting the subcutaneous tissue from being burnt. The closed-form solution for the governing equations in multilayered tissues can be a theoretical guideline to selection of appropriate parameters of the gold nanoshells.

OBJECTIVES: Targeted delivery of mitoxantrone (MTO, an anthraquinone drug with high antitumour effect) may be achieved using a novel nanoparticulate delivery system via binding the oestrogen receptor (ER, highly expressed in a variety of human tumours). METHODS: A novel liposomal nanoparticle (NP) was developed using a conjugate derived from 1, 2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[amino (polyethylene glycol)-2000] (DSPE-PEG2000 -NH2 ) and oestrone (ES, is known to bind the ER) to produce an ES-targeted PEGylated liposome (ES-SSL). The resulting targeted NP was loaded with MTO to produce a targeted liposome-MTO formulation (ES-SSL-MTO). KEY FINDINGS: The targeted formulation (~140 nm, 1.5 mV) achieved over 95% drug encapsulation efficiency and a favourable stability at 4, 25 and 37 °C up to 48 h. The flow cytometric data indicated that cellular uptake of ES-SSL into human leukaemia HL-60 cells was mediated via binding the oestrogen receptor. In addition, the ES-SSL-MTO significantly reduced the growth of HL-60 cells. CONCLUSIONS: Our results provide a proof of principle that ES-modified PEGylated liposomes can target the ER, thereby potentially improving the therapeutic benefits in ER-overexpressed tumours.

Motivation: Somatic DNA recombination, the hallmark of vertebrate adaptive immunity, has the potential to generate a vast diversity of antigen receptor sequences. How this diversity captures antigen specificity remains incompletely understood. In this study we use high throughput sequencing to compare the global changes in T cell receptor ß chain complementarity determining region 3 (CDR3ß) sequences following immunization with ovalbumin administered with complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) or CFA alone. Results: The CDR3ß sequences were deconstructed into short stretches of overlapping contiguous amino acids. The motifs were ranked according to a one-dimensional Bayesian classifier score comparing their frequency in the repertoires of the two immunization classes. The top ranking motifs were selected and used to create feature vectors which were used to train a support vector machine. The support vector machine achieved high classification scores in a leave-one-out validation test reaching >90% in some cases. Summary: The study describes a novel two-stage classification strategy combining a one-dimensional Bayesian classifier with a support vector machine. Using this approach we demonstrate that the frequency of a small number of linear motifs three amino acids in length can accurately identify a CD4 T cell response to ovalbumin against a background response to the complex mixture of antigens which characterize Complete Freund's Adjuvant. Distraction osteogenesis (DO) technique could be used to manage large-size bone defect successfully, but DO process usually requires long duration of bone consolidation. Innovative approaches for augmenting bone consolidation are of great need. Staphylococcal enterotoxin C2 (SEC2) has been found to suppress osteoclastogenesis of mesenchymal stem cells in vitro. In this study, we investigated the effect of SEC2 on proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs). Further, we locally administrated SEC2 (10 ng/ml) or PBS into the distraction gap in Sprague-Dawley male rat DO model every 3 days till termination at 3 and 6 weeks. The regenerates were subjected to X-rays, micro-computed tomography, mechanical testing, histology, and immunohischemistry examinations to assess new bone quality. SEC2 had no effect on cell viability. The calcium deposition was remarkably increased and osteogenic marker genes were significantly up-regulated in rBMSCs treated with SEC2. In rat DO model, SEC2 group had higher bone volume/total tissue volume in the regenerates. At 6 weeks, mechanical properties were significantly higher in SEC2-treated tibiae comparing to the control group. Histological analysis confirmed that the new bone had improved quality in SEC2 treated group, where the osteocalcin and osterix expression in the regenerates was up-regulated, indicating faster bone formation. The current study demonstrated that SEC2 local injection promotes osteogenesis and enhanced bone consolidation in DO. The findings support application of SEC2 as a potential novel strategy to expedite bone consolidation in patients undergoing DO treatment. © 2016 Orthopaedic Research Society. One water-soluble polysaccharide (ASPS), with four molecular weight distributions of 74, 3.8, 4.5, 2.3 x 10(4) Da, was isolated from the root of Acanthopanax senticosus and the yield was 4.8% (w/w). ASPS was composed of arabinose (51.4%), glucose (24.5%), galactose (10.2%), xylose (5.7) and galacturonic acid (4.9%). Effects of ASPS on the proliferation, apoptosis and Wnt/ß-catenin signaling pathway were investigated in human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 cells. The study showed that ASPS could inhibit the proliferation, increase the apoptosis rate in HepG2 cells; meanwhile, ASPS could increase the proportion of cells in G0/G1 phase, decrease the proportion of cells in S phase and G2/M phase, and elevate the expression level of ß-catenin, C-myc and Cyclin D1 proteins in HepG2 cells. These results indicate that ASPS has a certain inhibition on the proliferation, can induce the apoptosis and G0/G1 phase arrest in HepG2 cells, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibition of ASPS on the activation of Wnt/ß-catenin pathway HepG2 cells.

As mass-produced silicon transistors have reached the nano-scale, their behavior and performances are increasingly affected, and often deteriorated, by quantum mechanical effects such as tunneling through single dopants, scattering via interface defects, and discrete trap charge states. However, progress in silicon technology has shown that these phenomena can be harnessed and exploited for a new class of quantum-based electronics. Among others, multi-layer-gated silicon metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) technology can be used to control single charge or spin confined in electrostatically-defined quantum dots (QD). These QD-based devices are an excellent platform for quantum computing applications and, recently, it has been demonstrated that they can also be used as single-electron pumps, which are accurate sources of quantized current for metrological purposes. Here, we discuss in detail the fabrication protocol for silicon MOS QDs which is relevant to both quantum computing and quantum metrology applications. Moreover, we describe characterization methods to test the integrity of the devices after fabrication. Finally, we give a brief description of the measurement set-up used for charge pumping experiments and show representative results of electric current quantization.

Treatment of high-concentration phosphorus-containing wastewater produced from automobile painting-industry using microfiltration with and without coagulation pretreatment was studied. The results show that the membrane fouling decreased by reducing the extent of pore plugging and improving the shape of cake layer formed on membrane surface and the permeate flux increased with coagulation as pretreatment. In comparison with direct microfiltration (without coagulation), pretreatment with lime improves removal of phosphate from 11.0% to 99.7%. The permeate obtained from coagulation and microfiltration can meet the national discharge standard and be reused under very safe conditions. With the same cleaning method, the recovery of permeate flux is approximately 18% greater than that of without coagulation pretreatment, which may be due to the differences in the shape of deposited cake and the extent of irreversible fouling.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical effect of Xiao Gu San on cirrhosis ascites. METHOD: Groups were randomly divided into treating group and group of western medicine comparision. RESULT: 30 cases of the treating group were observed with the following result: first class curative effect 7; second class 12; the third class 9; effectiveless 2; total effective rate 93.33%. 30 cases of the Group of Comparison: first class curative effect 2; second class 6; the third class 15; effectiveless 7; total effective rate is 76.67%. CONCLUSION: The curative effect of Xiaogu San combined with Western medicine on cirrhosis ascites is better than that of Western medicine alone.
