RESUMO

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a gastrointestinal disease with an unknown etiology that severely affects patients' quality of life. Acupuncture and moxibustion therapies are effective in the treatment of UC, but existing systematic reviews (SRs) and meta-analyses (MAs) on this subject have variable methodological and outcome quality. Therefore, this study aimed to summarize and evaluate the evidence of existing SRs and MAs to provide more reliable evidence for clinical practice. Data were extracted from seven databases through systematic search and evaluated in terms of the methodological quality, reporting quality, risk of bias, and quality of evidence using the AMSTAR-2, PRISMA, ROBIS, and GRADE systems, respectively. Ten studies were finally included, and all of them showed many problems with the overall design and quality of outcomes. Because of the lack of high-quality evidence to support the findings from the existing studies, we should take this conclusion with caution and strictly implement the registration, design, and implementation of trials based on evidence to provide high-quality results in future studies.

RESUMO

Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk (S. divaricata, Fangfeng) is a herb in the Apiaceae family, and its root has been used since the Western Han Dynasty (202 B.C.). Chromones and coumarins are the pharmacologically active substances in S. divaricata. Modern phytochemical and pharmacological studies have demonstrated their antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-tumor, and anticoagulant activities. Technological and analytical strategy theory advancements have yielded novel results; however, most investigations have been limited to the main active substances-chromones and coumarins. Hence, we reviewed studies related to the chemical composition and pharmacological activity of S. divaricata, analyzed the developing trends and challenges, and proposed that research should focus on components' synergistic effects. We also suggested that, the structure-effect relationship should be prioritized in advanced research.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The anatomical substrate for left posterior fascicular ventricular tachycardia (LPF-VT) is still unclear. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study is to describe the endocavitary substrate of the re-entrant loop of LPF-VT. METHODS: A total of 26 consecutive patients with LPF-VT underwent an electrophysiology study and radiofrequency ablation. RESULTS: Intracardiac echocardiography imaging observed a 100% prevalence of false tendons (FTs) at the left posterior septal region in all patients, and 3 different types of FTs could be classified according to their location. In 22 patients, a P1 potential could be recorded via the multielectrode catheter from a FT. In 4 patients without a recorded P1 during LPF-VT, the earliest P2 potentials were recorded from a FT in 3 patients, and from a muscular connection between 2 posteromedial papillary muscles in 1 patient. Catheter ablation focused on the FTs with P1 or earliest P2 (in patients without P1) was successful in all 26 patients. After 19 ± 8.5 months of follow-up, no patients had recurrence of LPF-VT. CONCLUSIONS: FTs provide an electroanatomical substrate for LPF-VT and a "culprit FT" may be identified as the critical structure bridging the macro-re-entrant loop. Targeting the "culprit FT" is a novel anatomical ablation strategy that results in long-term arrhythmia-free survival.

RESUMO

The medicinal plant Clematis orientalis L. belongs to the family Ranunculaceae. In this study, we determined the complete chloroplast genome sequence of C. orientalis and its phylogenetic relationships with other species. The complete chloroplast genome of C. glauca is 159,518 bp in length, circular in structure, and has four regions including a large single-copy (LSC) region of 79,453 bp; a small single-copy (SSC) region of 17,997 bp; and two inverted repeat (IR) regions of 31,034 bp. The GC content of the genome is 38%, and those of LSC, SSC, and IR regions are 36.2, 31.4, and 42%, respectively. The genome encodes 129 unique genes, including 85 protein-coding genes, 36 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. Phylogenomic analysis reveals that C. orientalis is most closely related to C. aethusifolia. This study contributes to better understanding of phylogenetic relationships of Ranunculaceae.

RESUMO

Clematis hexapetala Pall. (1776) is a traditional Chinese medicine belonging to the Ranunculaceae. In this study, the complete chloroplast genome was sequenced through Illumina platform, cp was circular DNA molecule of 159,538 bp in length with a typical quadripartite structure, consisting of four regions: two copies of inverted repeat region (IRs: 31,039 bp), a large single-copy (LSC: 79,333 bp) region, a small single-copy (SSC: 18,127 bp) region. The chloroplast genome encodes a total of 135 genes, including 91 CDS genes, 36 tRNA genes, 8 rRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis based on complete genes shows that C. hexapetala closely related to C. taeguensis in the genus Clematis. This study improves our comprehension of the chloroplast genome and its phylogenetic relationships within Ranunculaceae.

RESUMO

Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are a new class of green "designer solvent"; its physicochemical properties can be easily tuned by adjusting DES' constituents, chemical ratio and water content. In this study, three hydrophobic DESs with low viscosity, low density, and melting points close to room temperature were designed and synthesized. Based on these DESs, an air-assisted liquid-liquid microextraction technique was developed based on the solidification of floating DESs for the simultaneous determination of bisphenols and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) via HPLC. The microextraction parameters were optimized via the Plackett-Burman design and response surface methodologies. The method shows satisfactory linearity (R2 ≥ 0.9928), a low limit of detection (0.16-0.75 µg L-1) and satisfactory precision (≤2.3%), and was successfully applied for the simultaneous determination of bisphenols and PAHs from tea infusions with satisfactory recoveries (82.0-116.6%). This method is simple, rapid, economical, environmentally compatible, dispersive solvent-frees and centrifugation-free, and has promising applications in food safety.

RESUMO

The influence of pre-fermentation cold maceration (CM) on Cabernet Sauvignon wines fermented in two different industrial-scale fermenters was studied. CM treatment had different effects on wine aroma depending on the types of fermenter, being more effective for automatic pumping-over tank (PO-tank) than automatic punching-down tank (PD-tank). When PO-tank was used, CM-treated wine showed a decrease in some fusel alcohols (isobutanol and isopentanol) and an increase in some esters (especially acetate esters). However, no significant changes were detected in these compounds when PD-tank was used. Ethyl 2-hexenoate and diethyl succinate were decreased, while geranylacetone was increased by the CM treatment in both fermenters. ß-Damascenone was increased by the CM treatment in PO-tank fermented wines but decreased in PD-tank fermented wines. The fruity, caramel and floral aroma series were enhanced while chemical series were decreased by the CM treatment in PO-tank fermented wines. The content of (Z)-6-nonen-1-ol in the final wines was positively correlated to CM treatment.
