RESUMO

In this study, data analysis was performed on 52 patients. According to the different outcomes and discharge diagnosis of patients, data on sedative use, emotions, behavioral abnormalities, hearing loss, pain, total time on board the IABP (intra-aortic balloon pumping), and days of hospitalization of patients were collected. The data were subjected to frequency analysis, paired chi-square analysis, chi-square test, Poisson regression analysis, and stepwise regression analysis. Some findings of the analysis included the following: Between outcome and admission diagnosis, the analysis showed that significant differences existed between paired data. Patients with heart failure and acute myocardial infarction are in an unhealed state, and most patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, myocarditis, and heart disease showed improvement. The samples taken by different sedatives showed no significant differences in the emotional and behavioral abnormalities, hearing loss, and pain. A total of 1 item of hospital stay had a significant negative impact on the total operation time of IABP. However, discharge diagnosis and admission diagnosis did not affect the total time on board the IABP. The dorsalis pedis artery pulse condition has a significant negative effect on the total time on board the IABP.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Sepsis, a life-threatening systemic syndrome related to inflammatory response, usually accompanied by major organ dysfunctions. The aim of the present study was to elucidate the role by which Shengmai injection (SMI) acts to septic cardiomyopathy. METHODS: Initially, the induced mice with septic cardiomyopathy were treated with SMI or normal saline (NS) with oe-caspase-3, and HL-1 cells were treated with oe-Beclin-1 and oe-caspase-3 and then cultured with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Subsequently, we measured the cardiac troponin I (cTnI) level, and expression of mitochondrial autophagy protein (parkin and pink1) and myocardial cell autophagy-related proteins (LC3-II and LC3-I). Additionally, we identified the cleavage of Beclin-1 by caspase-3 and detected the changes of mitochondrial membrane potential, level of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and apoptosis of myocardial cells in myocardial tissues of mice. RESULTS: It has been demonstrated that SMI contributed to the increase of myocardial mitochondrial autophagy, reduction of cTnI level, and elevation of mitochondrial membrane potential in septic cardiomyopathy mice. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that caspase-3 promoted cleavage of Beclin-1 and release of ROS, whereas repressed lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mitochondrial autophagy. Furthermore, the facilitation of myocardial mitochondrial autophagy and protection of myocardial mitochondria by SMI through inhibition of cleavage Beclin-1 by caspase-3 in septic cardiomyopathy mice were also proved by in vivo experiments. CONCLUSION: Taken together, SMI could protect myocardial mitochondria by promoting myocardial mitochondrial autophagy in septic cardiomyopathy via inhibition of cleavage of Beclin-1 by caspase-3. Our study demonstrates that SMI could represent a novel target for treatment of septic cardiomyopathy.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To determine the effect of Tongxinluo on the endothelial function and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in acute coronary syndrome patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). METHODS: Thirty-three patients with unstable angina pectoris and 6 patients with acute myocardial infarction who underwent PCI for stenotic lesions of the coronary artery were enrolled. The patients were randomly assigned to a conventional group (n = 19) which took routine treatment or a tongxinluo group (n = 20) which took Tongxinluo(4 capsules once, 3 times per day) at the base of routine treatment after PCI. Nitric oxide synthase (NOS), nitric oxide (NO), endothelium-dependent vasodilation which was evaluated in the brachial artery flow mediated diameter(FMD) and hs-CRP were measured before the PCI and 24 hours and 3 months after the PCI. The correlation between NO and hs-CRP was analyzed. RESULTS: NOS, NO, and FMD in the 2 groups 24 hours after the PCI were significantly lower than those before the PCI(P < 0.05), but hs- CRP obviously increased (P < 0.05). NOS, NO, and FMD 3 months after the PCI in the 2 groups were significantly higher than those before the PCI (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), but hs-CRP obviously decreased (P < 0.01).All indexes mentioned above in the Tongxinluo group showed greater changes than those of the conventional group(P < 0.05). NO was negatively correlated with hs-CRP (r = -0.3219, P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Tongxinluo capsules have obvious beneficial effect on endothelial function and anti-inflammation in acute coronary syndrome patients undergoing PCI, by directly acting on the endothelium and indirectly inhibiting inflammation.
