Liquid fertilizers are widely used for fertilizing in- and outdoor vegetation. Despite the easy accessibility and widespread use, serious intoxications are rare. This case report describes a 61-year-old woman who was treated for life-threatening hyperkalemia, metabolic acidosis and ECG changes after intentional ingestion of liquid fertilizer. Our case shows that intake of liquid fertilizer, though infrequent, can cause serious, life threatening complications.

Continuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT) use has increased in recent years, but anticoagulation is a challenge for neonates. Regional citrate anticoagulation (RCA) is rarely preferred in neonates because of citrate accumulation (CA) and metabolic complications. We aimed to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of RCA in neonates. We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 11 neonates treated with RCA-CKRT between 2018 and 2023. The initial dose of RCA was 2.1-3 mmol/l, and then, its dose was increased according to the level of ionized calcium (iCa+2) in the circuit and patients. The total/iCa+2 ratio after-treatment > 2.5 was indicated as CA. We evaluated to citrate dose, CA, circuit lifespan, and dialysis effectivity. The median gestational age was 39 (36.4-41.5) weeks, the median body weight (BW) was 3200 (2400-4000) grams, and the mean postnatal age was 4 (2-24) days. The most common indication for CKRT was hyperammonemia (73%). All neonates had metabolic acidosis and hypocalcemia during CKRT. Other common metabolic complications were hypophosphatemia (90%), hypokalemia (81%), and hypomagnesemia (63%). High dialysate rates with a median of 5765 ml/h/1.73 m2 allowed for a rapid decrease in ammonia levels to normal. Four patients (36.3%) had CA, and seven (63.7%) did not (non-citrate accumulation, NCA). Mean BW, median postnatal age, biochemical parameters, coagulation tests, and ammonia levels were similar between the CA and NCA groups. Low pH, low HCO3, high lactate, and SNAPPE-II scores could be associated with a higher T/iCa ratio. CONCLUSION: RCA was an efficient and safe anticoagulation for neonates requiring CKRT. Metabolic complications may occur, but they could be managed with adequate supplementation. WHAT IS KNOWN: ⢠Continuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT) has become popular in recent years due to its successful treatment of fluid overload, electrolyte imbalance, metabolic acidosis, multi-organ failure, and hyperleucinemia/hyperammonemia associated with inborn errors of metabolism. ⢠The need for anticoagulation is the major difficulty in neonatal CKRT. In adult and pediatric patients, regional citrate anticoagulation has been shown to be effective. WHAT IS NEW: ⢠RCA is an effective and safe anticoagulation method for neonates who require CKRT. ⢠Electrolyte imbalances and metabolic acidosis could be managed with adequate supplementation and appropriate treatment parameters such as citrate dose, blood flow rate, and dialysate flow rate.

BACKGROUND: Intracavernous pressure measurement following cavernous nerve electrostimulation has been extensively adopted for the evaluation of erectile function in animals. However, the effect of measurement time and acidosis during anesthesia is still lacking. OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of measurement time and acidosis during anesthesia. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Fifty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats were used and anesthetized by a spontaneous inhalation of isoflurane. In the first step, rats were randomly divided into four groups: a control group and three time-delayed measurement groups (intracavernous pressure measurement beginning at 15, 30, and 45 min after cavernous nerve exposure). In the second step, rats were randomly divided into three groups: a control group and two time-delayed measurement groups. Two intravenous fluid support strategies were used in time-delayed measurement groups: a normal saline solution and an isotonic Na2 CO3 solution. RESULTS: Isoflurane-anesthetized rats developed systemic acidosis that worsens with time during intracavernous pressure measurement, which results in a significant decrease in the maximum intracavernous pressure value, intracavernous pressure/mean arterial pressure ratio, and total intracavernous pressure measured. The Na2 CO3 infusion could effectively correct acidosis. The decrease in intracavernous pressure was related to the reduced nitric oxide synthase activity, decreased cyclic guanosine monophosphate concentration, and reactive oxygen species activation in rat penis under acidosis conditions. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: Prolonged isoflurane anesthesia-induced acidosis markedly depresses the erectile response to cavernous nerve electrostimulation in rats. In this situation, it is recommended to supplement with a Na2 CO3 infusion to maintain a normal acid-base balance.

INTRODUCTION: The antimicrobial trimethoprim is structurally related to potassium-sparing diuretics and may consequently lead to derangements in electrolyte and acid-base balance. Since no report so far analyzed the literature documenting individual cases with electrolyte and acid-base derangements induced by trimethoprim, a systematic review was carried out. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION: We retained 53 reports documenting 68 cases (42 males and 26 females 23 to 96 years of age) of electrolyte or acid-base derangements occurring on trimethoprim for about 5 days. EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS: One hundred five electrolyte imbalances were detected in the 68 patients: hyperkalemia (>5.0 mmol/L) in 62 (91%), hyponatremia (<135 mmol/L) in 29 (43%) and metabolic acidosis (pH<7.38 and bicarbonate <19 mmol/L) in 14 (21%) cases. Following possible predisposing factors for electrolyte and acid-base abnormalities were found in 54 (79%) patients: high-dose trimethoprim, comedication with drugs that have been associated with electrolyte and acid-base derangements, preexisting kidney disease, age ≥80 years and diabetes mellitus. CONCLUSIONS: High-dose trimethoprim, comedicated with drugs that have been associated with electrolyte and acid-base derangements, poor kidney function, age ≥80 years and diabetes mellitus predispose to trimethoprim-associated electrolyte and acid-base abnormalities. Clinicians must recognize patients at risk, possibly avoid drug combinations that may worsen the problem and monitor the laboratory values.

CASE REPORT: This case report describes the clinical signs and case management of a 1-year-old neutered male Siberian Husky that accidentally ingested 635 mg/kg of oral acetazolamide (a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor). The dog presented with severe tachypnoea due to the development of hyperchloraemic metabolic acidosis and associated hypokalaemia that persisted for 7 days. Clinical and biochemical changes resolved with intravenous and subsequent oral supplementation of sodium bicarbonate and potassium. Complete recovery occurred within 9 days of presentation. CONCLUSION: To the authors' knowledge, this is the first case that reports overdosage of an oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitor in a dog and subsequent recovery with adequate supplementation and supportive care.

BACKGROUND: Paracetamol (acetaminophen) remains a leading cause of poisoning in Europe, North America, and Australia. For over four decades, acetylcysteine has been the antidote of choice. However, despite the use of acetylcysteine, some patients who ingest very large doses of paracetamol or who reach hospital late in the course of their poisoning, develop acute liver failure. Some will develop metabolic acidosis indicating mitochondrial toxicity. OBJECTIVE: We review the experimental and clinical data reported with the use of cimetidine, fomepizole, and calmangafodipir in the treatment of paracetamol toxicity to determine if these treatments alone or in combination with acetylcysteine might be of benefit. METHODS: We searched Ovid Medline 1946-2020, Embase 1947-2020, Scopus 2004-2020, Cochrane Databases of Systematic Reviews (CDSR), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and clinicaltrials.gov 1997-2020 for records including the concepts of paracetamol poisoning and cimetidine, fomepizole, calmangafodipir, and acetylcysteine. We included basic science studies in animals and all available study types in humans. We reviewed the reference lists of included articles to search for references missed in the original search. We registered the protocol in PROSPERO. RESULTS: We completed all search strategies on 20 August 2019, 27 January 2020, and 15 June 2020. These produced 6,826 citations. We identified and deleted 2,843 duplicate resulting in a total of 3,856 unique citations. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 89 studies remained. The largest numbers of studies described the past use of cimetidine, and the more recent use of fomepizole.Cimetidine: There is good animal evidence that cimetidine blocks CYP 2E1 with the potential to inhibit the toxic metabolism of paracetamol. Early case reports were inconclusive regarding the benefit to humans in paracetamol poisoning. Two comparative trials found no benefit of cimetidine in paracetamol poisoning, but few patients had severe poisoning.Fomepizole: There is good animal evidence that fomepizole blocks CYP 2E1 with the potential to inhibit the toxic metabolism of paracetamol. There are no comparative trials of fomepizole for acute paracetamol poisoning. Case reports are inconclusive due to multiple other interventions including the use of acetylcysteine in all cases. The benefit of fomepizole as adjunct treatment has not been demonstrated.Calmangafodipir: Calmangafodipir, a drug mimicking superoxide dismutase, has emerged as a potential treatment for severe paracetamol toxicity because the formation of superoxide free radicals appears to explain part of the mitochondrial toxicity of extremely large paracetamol overdoses. Calmangafodipir has reached Phase I/II trial of safety in humans with acute paracetamol overdose. Planning for a Phase III study of efficacy is currently underway. CONCLUSIONS: The vast majority of patients with acute paracetamol overdose enjoy excellent outcomes with acetylcysteine alone. Although cimetidine and fomepizole inhibit CYP 2E1 in animals, there is insufficient evidence to recommend their use either as a primary treatment or adjunct therapy in paracetamol poisoning. Calmangafodipir remains investigational.

Chinese herbal medicine is widely used globally. In many instances, it is associated with severe adverse outcomes. We report case of a Chinese herbal nephropathy occurring in a 43-year-old woman showing renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, Stokes - Adams syndrome, hypernatremia, and hypokalemia, characteristics not usually encountered in published cases.

A 26-year-old woman presented after an intentional ingestion of 20 g of caffeine. She suffered a profound respiratory alkalosis with metabolic acidosis, hypokalaemia and sustained polymorphic ventricular tachycardia. She was treated with intravenous intralipid and haemodialysis, and her arrhythmia was controlled using magnesium sulphate. Once invasively ventilated and unable to hyperventilate the patient became acidotic and required intravenous bicarbonate to correct her acid-base status. Two days following the overdose the patient was extubated, haemodialysis was stopped and norepinephrine was weaned off. The patient was discharged after a further 7 days. Serial caffeine levels were taken during this patient's care; the highest measured caffeine concentration 7 hours after ingestion was 147.1 mg/L. The known lethal dose of caffeine is 80 mg/L. Intralipid and haemodialysis represent a new and viable treatment in life-threatening caffeine overdose. Intravenous magnesium may terminate unstable arrhythmias in caffeine-poisoned patients.

Introduction: Amygdalin, marketed misleadingly as supplement "Vitamin B17," is a cyanogenic glycoside. When swallowed, it is hydrolyzed into cyanide in the small intestine, which causes histotoxic hypoxia via inhibition of cytochrome c oxidase. It remains available for purchase online despite a ban from the US Food and Drug Administration. We report a case of massive intentional amygdalin overdose resulting in recurrent cyanide toxicity after initial successful antidotal therapy.Case summary: A 33-year-old woman intentionally ingested 20 g of "apricot POWER B17 Amygdalin" supplements. She presented five hours post-ingestion with vital signs: P 127 bpm, BP 112/65 mmHg, RR 25/min, temperature 98.1 °F, and SpO2 98% RA. She was in agitated delirium, diaphoretic, and mydriatic. Her VBG was notable for a pH of 7.27 (rr 7.32-7.42) and lactate 14.1 mmol/L (rr 0.5-2.2), with ECG demonstrating QTc 538 ms (normal <440 ms). She was empirically treated with hydroxocobalamin and supportive care, but worsened clinically, requiring intubation and additional hydroxocobalamin and sodium thiosulfate, which resolved her toxicity. Twelve hours later, she developed recurrent hypotension, acidemia, and QTc prolongation that resolved with repeat hydroxocobalamin and sodium thiosulfate dosing.Discussion: Our case demonstrates rebound metabolic acidosis after massive amygdalin overdose. Toxicity was associated with prolonged QTc, which warrants further investigation into clinical significance. Redosing of combination antidotal therapy suggested efficacy without adverse effects.

BACKGROUND: Eucalyptus oil poisoning is rare in adults but is not that uncommon in children. The common side effects in children include depression in the level of consciousness, ataxia, seizures, and vomiting. Unlike in children, seizures are unusual in adult patients with eucalyptus oil poisoning. We report the cases of two patients with eucalyptus oil poisoning, both adults who unintentionally took eucalyptus oil and presented to the emergency room of our institution with seizures. CASE PRESENTATION: Two adult Indian men who unintentionally consumed eucalyptus oil presented to the emergency room of our institution with seizures. In both patients, arterial blood gas analysis showed the presence of severe metabolic acidosis. Both the patients were managed in the intensive care unit and received standard supportive care. Metabolic acidosis was corrected with intravenous bicarbonate infusion. They were successfully discharged on the fourth day. CONCLUSIONS: All physicians should be aware of the toxic effects of eucalyptus oil, which is used often in daily life in India. Supportive care in an intensive care unit, including rapid correction of metabolic acidosis and adequate maintenance of hemodynamic parameters, will lead to a rapid recovery. Warning labels should be made mandatory on all products that contain eucalyptus oil.

Introduction: Liquid laundry detergent capsules (also called single-use detergent sacs; laundry pods; laundry packets) have become an increasingly popular household product worldwide. Objectives: To review the composition and mechanisms of toxicity of liquid laundry detergent, capsules, and the circumstances, routes, clinical features (and impact of packaging changes) and management of exposure. Methods: The databases PubMed and EMBASE were searched using the terms: "detergent" and "capsule", "pod", "pac" or "sac" combined with "poison", "ingest", "expos" but not "animal" or "in vitro" or "bacteria". The searches yielded 289 articles, of which 186 were excluded: 38 duplicates, 133 not relevant, 10 abstracts which had been published as a paper and 5 non-English language articles. The bibliographies of relevant articles were hand-searched which yielded 14 additional citations. Searching of abstracts from scientific meetings produced five additional citations. A total of 122 publications were relevant to the objectives of the review. Capsules and composition: Capsules typically contain anionic surfactants (20-35%), non-ionic surfactants (10-20%), propylene glycol (8-20%) and ethanol (2-5%) within a water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol membrane. Mechanisms of toxicity: Non-ionic surfactants are the primary mechanism, though anionic surfactants, ethanol and propylene glycol may also contribute. Circumstances of exposure: The majority (60%) of children are exposed when the capsule is removed from its original container. Routes of exposure: Ingestion is the most common (>85%); ocular (<15%) and dermal (<8%) exposure account for the remainder. Features following ingestion: Features develop in around half of all exposures, though >90% are minor. In those with features, vomiting occurs in some 50%; coughing and drowsiness are reported in <5%. Respiratory depression (<0.5%), central nervous system depression (<0.1%) esophageal or gastric injury (<0.5%), metabolic acidosis and hyperlactatemia (<0.05%) have been reported rarely. Of 17 deaths reported, 13 were adults and nine were suffering from cognitive impairment. Features following ocular exposure: Conjunctivitis, eye irritation and/or eye pain are commonly experienced; corneal injury is less common but complete recovery typically occurs within one week. Features following dermal exposure: Clinically important dermal toxicity seldom occurs, though skin burns can develop in <5% of cases when skin contact is prolonged. Impact of packaging changes on features: The implementation of packaging changes resulted in a fall in the number of exposures and their severity in the United States and in the number in Italy. Management-ingestion: Gut decontamination is not recommended, though small amounts of fluid can be administered orally to rinse out the mouth. Symptomatic and supportive care should be offered to all patients that develop features of toxicity. Supplemental oxygen should be administered for hypoxemia, and bronchodilators for laryngospasm/bronchospasm. Intubation and assisted ventilation may be required if CNS and respiratory depression develop. A chest radiograph should be performed if respiratory features develop. In patients with swallowing difficulties, drooling or oropharyngeal burns, endoscopy should be performed; if substantial mucosal damage is present MRI should be considered. In addition, intravenous fluids will be required if prolonged vomiting or diarrhea occur and acid-base disturbances should be corrected. Management-eye exposure: Thorough irrigation of the eye with sodium chloride 0.9% is required. Instillation of a local anesthetic will reduce discomfort and help more thorough decontamination. Due to the potential for corneal injury, fluorescein should be instilled. If ocular injury is present, the patient should be referred to an ophthalmologist. Management-skin exposure: Skin should be irrigated thoroughly with soap and water, and burns should be treated as a thermal burn. Conclusions: Accidental ingestion usually produces no or only minor features. Very rarely respiratory depression, central nervous system depression, esophageal or gastric injury, hyperlactatemia and metabolic acidosis occur. Ocular exposure results in corneal injury infrequently and skin burns can develop uncommonly following prolonged dermal contact. Of 17 deaths reported, 13 were adults and nine were suffering from cognitive impairment.

Inflammation and vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) phenotypic switching are causally linked to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) pathogenesis. Carbonic anhydrase inhibition induces mild metabolic acidosis and exerts protective effects in hypoxic pulmonary hypertension. Carbonic anhydrases and metabolic acidosis are further known to modulate immune cell activation. To evaluate if carbonic anhydrase inhibition modulates macrophage activation, inflammation, and VSMC phenotypic switching in severe experimental pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary hypertension was assessed in Sugen 5416/hypoxia (SU/Hx) rats after treatment with acetazolamide or ammonium chloride (NH4Cl). We evaluated pulmonary and systemic inflammation and characterized the effect of carbonic anhydrase inhibition and metabolic acidosis in alveolar macrophages and bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs). We further evaluated the treatment effects on VSMC phenotypic switching in pulmonary arteries and pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) and corroborated some of our findings in lungs and pulmonary arteries of patients with PAH. Both patients with idiopathic PAH and SU/Hx rats had increased expression of lung inflammatory markers and signs of PASMC dedifferentiation in pulmonary arteries. Acetazolamide and NH4Cl ameliorated SU/Hx-induced pulmonary hypertension and blunted pulmonary and systemic inflammation. Expression of carbonic anhydrase isoform 2 was increased in alveolar macrophages from SU/Hx animals, classically (M1) and alternatively (M2) activated BMDMs, and lungs of patients with PAH. Carbonic anhydrase inhibition and acidosis had distinct effects on M1 and M2 markers in BMDMs. Inflammatory cytokines drove PASMC dedifferentiation, and this was inhibited by acetazolamide and acidosis. The protective antiinflammatory effect of acetazolamide in pulmonary hypertension is mediated by a dual mechanism of macrophage carbonic anhydrase inhibition and systemic metabolic acidosis.

We report a case of 50-year-old male patient from tribal area in South Indian state of Telangana, who ingested the liquid extract from crushed leaves of the plant, cleistanthus collinius with the intention of self-harm. Immediate gastric lavage and activated charcoal administration was done and the patient was subsequently admitted into an acute medical care unit. During first 24 hours of monitoring, the patient was clinically stable. There was mild normal anion gap metabolic acidosis and hypokalaemia on arterial blood gas (ABG) and was corrected accordingly. On second day of admission he developed acute onset shortness of breath. Chest auscultation revealed extensive bilateral coarse crackles. Chest X-ray was suggestive of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The patient had to be intubated. Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) was initiated in view of worsening metabolic acidosis and unstable haemodynamics. In spite of appropriate intensive care measures, the patient succumbed to illness. Immediate gastric lavage and activated charcoal administration was done and the patient was subsequently admitted into an acute medical care unit. The patient had to be intubated on day 2. CRRT was initiated in view of worsening metabolic acidosis and unstable haemodynamics. In spite of appropriate intensive care measures, the patient gradually deteriorated, had cardiac arrest and passed away on day 5 of his hospital stay.

In the 1920s, guanidine, the active component of Galega officinalis, was shown to lower glucose levels and used to synthesize several antidiabetic compounds. Metformin (1,1 dimethylbiguanide) is the most well-known and currently the only marketed biguanide in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia for the treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Although phenformin was removed from the US market in the 1970s, it is still available around the world and can be found in unregulated herbal supplements. Adverse events associated with therapeutic use of biguanides include gastrointestinal upset, vitamin B12 deficiency, and hemolytic anemia. Although the incidence is low, metformin toxicity can lead to hyperlactatemia and metabolic acidosis. Since metformin is predominantly eliminated from the body by the kidneys, toxicity can occur when metformin accumulates due to poor clearance from renal insufficiency or in the overdose setting. The dominant source of metabolic acidosis associated with hyperlactatemia in metformin toxicity is the rapid cytosolic adenosine triphosphate (ATP) turnover when complex I is inhibited and oxidative phosphorylation cannot adequately recycle the vast quantity of H+ from ATP hydrolysis. Although metabolic acidosis and hyperlactatemia are markers of metformin toxicity, the degree of hyperlactatemia and severity of acidemia have not been shown to be of prognostic value. Regardless of the etiology of toxicity, treatment should include supportive care and consideration for adjunct therapies such as gastrointestinal decontamination, glucose and insulin, alkalinization, extracorporeal techniques to reduce metformin body burden, and metabolic rescue.

Caffeine (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine) is a natural product commonly presented in food's composition, beverages and medicinal products. Generally, it is thought to be safe under normal dosage, yet it can be fatal in case of severe intoxication. We report a case of a healthy 32-year-old woman who went to the local emergency department (ED) 30 min after ingesting, accidentally, 5000 mg of anhydrous caffeine for a preworkout supplement. At the ED, she presented an episode of presyncope followed by agitation. ECG showed polymorphic broad complex QRS tachycardia and arterial blood gas revealed metabolic acidaemia with severe hypokalemia. The dysrhythmia was successfully treated with intravenous propranolol. Acid-base and hydroelectrolytic disorders were also corrected. A persistent sinus tachycardia was observed in the first 2 days in the ward and 5 days later she was discharged asymptomatic with internal medicine follow-up.

INTRODUCTION: Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a potent antioxidant used to treat a variety of disorders. Although ALA is considered a very safe supplement and intoxication is very rare, acute high-dose ingestions can cause mortality. In this report, we discuss a very rare case of ALA intoxication to increase awareness of this issue. CASE REPORT: A 22-year-old female was referred to our emergency department with ALA intoxication after ingesting a total of 18g of ALA with a suicidal intention. The patient was found in an altered mental state and confused. During the physical examination, the patient's Glasgow Coma Scale was 13 (E4M6V3); however, she was neither alert nor oriented. Vital signs revealed a mildly decreased blood pressure, tachycardia, and an increased respiratory rate. Cranial nerve examination was normal except a horizontal gaze nystagmus. Laboratory testing showed a decompensated metabolic acidosis. T wave inversions were seen in the electrocardiography (EKG). The patient was treated with supportive treatment and discharged within three days of intensive care unit (ICU) admission. CONCLUSION: ALA is a very common supplement that is easily accessible worldwide. Although ALA intoxication is very rare, it is sometimes seen after accidental or suicidal acute ingestion. Neurologic effects, metabolic acidosis, and t wave inversions in the EKG are observed when this acute poisoning occurs. Supportive treatment should be the main therapy.

Topiramate is an anticonvulsant that is being increasingly used for a number of different off-label indications. Its inhibition of carbonic anhydrase isoenzymes can lead to metabolic acidosis, elevated urine pH, reduced urine citrate, and hypercalciuria, thereby creating a milieu that is ripe for calcium phosphate stone formation. In this review, we describe a case of topiramate-induced metabolic acidosis. We review the frequency of metabolic acidosis among children and adults, as well as the mechanism of hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis and renal tubular acidosis in topiramate users. Finally, we describe the long-term effects of topiramate-induced metabolic acidosis, including nephrolithiasis, nephrocalcinosis, and bone degradation. Patients who are prescribed topiramate should be carefully monitored for metabolic derangements, and they may benefit from alkali supplementation, or in extreme cases, discontinuation of the drug altogether.

Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is a molecular-targeted therapy in which a somatostatin analogue (a small peptide) is coupled with a radioligand so that the radiation dose is selectively administered to somatostatin receptor-expressing metastasized neuroendocrine tumors, particularly gastroenteropancreatic. Reported toxicities include myelotoxicity and nephrotoxicity, the latter manifesting as decreased kidney function, often developing months to years after treatment completion. We present a case of PRRT-induced kidney toxicity manifesting as a severe Gitelman-like tubulopathy with preserved kidney function. Because profound hypokalemia and hypocalcemia can lead to life-threatening arrhythmias, we highlight the necessity for careful monitoring of serum and urine electrolytes in patients receiving PRRT.
