Padronização dos extratos de Cissus sicyoides L. (Insulina vegetal) e identificação de carotenos / Standardization of extracts of Cissus sicyoides L. (Insulin plant) and identification of carotenoids

RESUMO

A espécie vegetal Cissus sicyoides L. é vulgarmente conhecida como insulina vegetal, cipó-pucá e anil-trepador. 0 presente trabalho pretende fornecer subsídios para a caracterização dos componentes da droga vegetal. Foi preparado o extrato acetônico das folhas, do qual foram extraídos e identificados os carotenos. Também foram determinados o perfil cromatográfico e os parâmetros físico-químicos dos extratos fluidos obtidos da planta.

ABSTRACT

Cissus sicyoides L. has commonly been known in folk medicine as vegetable insulin and used by its hypoglicemic properties. Extracts of the plant have been examined and carotenes were identified in the acetonic fraction. Analysis of the fluid extract of the plant has also been effected and the chromatopraphic profile established.
