RESUMEN

In traditional textile manufacturing, downstream manufacturers use raw materials, such as Nylon and cotton yarns, to produce textile products. The manufacturing process involves warping, sizing, beaming, weaving, and inspection. Staff members typically use a trial-and-error approach to adjust the appropriate production parameters in the manufacturing process, which can be time consuming and a waste of resources. To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of textile manufacturing economically, this study proposes a query-based learning method in regression analytics using existing manufacturing data. Query-based learning allows the model training to evolve its decision-making process through dynamic interactions with its solution space. In this study, predefined target parameters of quality factors were first used to validate the training results and create new training patterns. These new patterns were then imported into the solution space of the training model. In predicting product quality, the results show that the proposed query-based regression algorithm has a mean squared error of 0.0153, which is better than those of the original regression-related methods (Avg. mean squared error = 0.020). The trained model was deployed as an application programing interface (API) for cloud-based analytics and an extensive auto-notification service.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Studies of most-cited articles have been frequently conducted on various topics and in various medical fields. To date, no study has examined the characteristics of articles associated with theme classifications and research achievements of article entities related to nursing resilience. This study aims to graphically depict the characteristics of the 100 top-cited articles addressing nurse resilience (T100NurseR), diagram the relationship between articles and author collaborations according to themes extracted from article keywords, and examine whether article keywords are correlated with article citations. METHODS: T100NurseR publications were retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) core collection on October 13, 2022. Themes associated with articles were explored using coword analysis in WoS keywords plus. The document category, journal ranking based on impact factor, authorship, and L-index and Y-index were used to analyze the dominant entities. To report the themes of T100NurseR and their research achievements in comparison to article entities and verify the hypothesis that keyword mean citation can be used to predict article citations, 5 visualizations were applied, including network diagrams, chord diagrams, dot plots, Kano diagrams, and radar plots. RESULTS: Citations per article averaged 61.96 (range, 25-514). There were 5 themes identified in T100NurseR, including Parses theory, nurse resilience, conflict management, nursing identity, and emotional intelligence. For countries, institutes, departments, and authors in comparison of category, journal impact factor, authorship, and L-index scores, Australia (129.80), the University of Western Sydney (23.12), Nursing (87.17), and Kim Foster (23.76) are the dominant entities. The weighted number of citations according to Keywords Plus in WoS is significantly correlated with article citations (Pearson R = 0.94; P = .001). CONCLUSION: We present diagrams to guide evidence-based clinical decision-making in nurse resilience based on the characteristics of the T100NurseR articles. Article citations can be predicted using weighted keywords. Future bibliographical studies may apply the 5 visualizations to relevant studies, not being solely restricted to T100NurseR.

RESUMEN

With the rapid development of digital transformation, paper forms are digitalized as electronic forms (e-Forms). Existing data can be applied in predictive maintenance (PdM) for the enabling of intelligentization and automation manufacturing. This study aims to enhance the utilization of collected e-Form data though machine learning approaches and cloud computing to predict and provide maintenance actions. The ensemble learning approach (ELA) requires less computation time and has a simple hardware requirement; it is suitable for processing e-form data with specific attributes. This study proposed an improved ELA to predict the defective class of product data from a manufacturing site's work order form. This study proposed the resource dispatching approach to arrange data with the corresponding emailing resource for automatic notification. This study's novelty is the integration of cloud computing and an improved ELA for PdM to assist the textile product manufacturing process. The data analytics results show that the improved ensemble learning algorithm has over 98% accuracy and precision for defective product prediction. The validation results of the dispatching approach show that data can be correctly transmitted in a timely manner to the corresponding resource, along with a notification being sent to users.

RESUMEN

Nasogastric intubation is a common procedure in hospitals that causes adverse outcomes if performed incorrectly. There is currently insufficient guidance for patient positioning, which increases the success of nasogastric intubation at the bedside. Therefore, a systematic review with a meta-analysis was performed to determine the effectiveness of changing an unconscious adults' positions compared with the supine position to improve the correct placement of a nasogastric tube, intubation time, and complications. The Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, Embase, PubMed, and CINAHL databases were searched from inception to April 2019 for randomized controlled trials. The Cochrane Collaboration Risk of Bias tool was used to assess the quality of eligible studies. Cochrane Review Manager 5.3 software was used to analyze the data. A total of 288 articles were obtained in the literature search, 10 of which were included in the analysis. Most of the included trials were at low risk of bias. All postures were significantly effective, though neck flexion had the highest success rate (odds ratio = 4.87, 95% confidence interval [2.48, 9.57], Z = 4.6, p < .00001, I2 = 0%) for nasogastric intubation. In terms of the time required for the procedure, compared with the usual posture, although the total effects were significant ( MD =-10.33, 95% confidence interval [-15.38, -5.29], Z = 4.02, p < .00001, I2 = 98%), only neck flexion and lifting of the larynx reduced the time. The meta-analysis suggests that patient positioning improves the success rate of nasogastric intubation and increases safety. Finally, the authors developed a procedural instruction sheet to aid practitioners with nasogastric intubation.

RESUMEN

AIMS: Legionella pneumophila (Lp), a human pathogen, has been detected in windscreen wiper fluid reservoirs (WWFRs) where commercial screen washes (CSWs) are commonly added. Limited information is available on CSWs against planktonic Lp; however, responses of sessile Lp and planktonic Lp pre-acclimated in nutrient-limited water to CSWs remain unknown. This study thus investigates the antibacterial effects of CSWs on sessile and starved planktonic Lp, in comparison with unstarved Lp. METHODS AND RESULTS: Lp biofilms were produced on glass and WWFR materials of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP). Planktonic Lp with and without acclimation in tap water were prepared. Log reductions in cell counts averaged 0.4-5.0 for 10 brands of CSWs against sessile Lp and 1.0-3.9 and 0.9-4.9, respectively, against starved and unstarved planktonic Lp for five CSWs. Both biofilm formation and acclimation in tap water enhanced Lp resistance to CSWs. Significantly different log-reduction values among CSW brands were observed for sessile Lp on HDPE and planktonic Lp regardless of acclimation (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Biofilm formation, starvation acclimation and CSW brand are crucial factors influencing Lp response to CSWs. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF STUDY: This study advances the knowledge of Lp reaction in anthropogenic water systems with CSWs.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: Migraine is a common disease worldwide and migraine prevention is primarily currently based on pharmaceuticals. The mechanism of Vitamin B2 may positively contribute to migraine. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the impact of Vitamin B2 supplementation on the days, duration, frequency, and pain score of the migraine attack. METHODS: : The PRISMA guideline was used for the studying process. Five electronic databases, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, CINAHL, and CEPS were searched from 1990 to March 2019. The search terms were Vitamin B2, migraine, and prophylactic. A meta-analysis was performed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) version. RESULTS: : Nine articles were included in systemic review and finally meta-analysis. Eight randomized controlled trials and one controlled clinical trial with 673 subjects were analyzed using meta-analysis. Vitamin B2 supplementation significantly decreased migraine days (p = .005, I2 = 89%), duration (p = .003, I2 = 0), frequency (p = .001, I2 = 65%), and pain score (p = .015, I2 = 84%). CONCLUSIONS: A pooled analysis of available randomized controlled clinical trials demonstrated that Vitamin B2 400 mg/day for three months supplementation had significant effect on days, duration, frequency, and pain score of migraine attacks.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: To study iliofemoral venous thrombosis related to iliofemoral venous obstruction in cancer patients. METHODS: In this case series study, 829 cancer patients were surveyed for iliofemoral obstruction/thrombosis within 10 years. The criteria for inclusion were: (1) presence of unilateral lower-extremity swelling; (2) computed tomography (CT) scans showing a tumor with external compression of the iliac or femoral vein, and (3) duplex ultrasound scans showing venous thrombosis or venous flow insufficiency over a femoral vein or saphenous vein. RESULTS: Sixty-three patients (8%) developed an iliofemoral venous obstruction. The presence of iliofemoral venous thrombosis was detected in 21 of these patients (33%). The rate of iliofemoral venous thrombosis was significantly higher in patients with an invasion of the inguinal region, D-dimer levels >3,000 ng/ml, gastrointestinal cancer, or invasion of the inguinal lymph nodes. However, none of our patients with iliofemoral venous thrombosis had a detection of iliofemoral venous obstruction. Improved lower-extremity swelling was reported in 84% of the patients following combination therapy involving low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) and systemic therapy. CONCLUSION: Patients with an iliofemoral venous thrombosis mainly had iliofemoral venous obstruction by external tumor compression. Combination therapy with LMWH and systemic therapy were mandatory for these patients.

RESUMEN

Myelomatous pleural effusion is an unusual clinical condition associated with poor outcomes. We report a case with myelomatous pleural effusion upon the presentation of the disease. The patient had multiple risk factors for inferior prognosis of multiple myeloma, including old age, immunoglobulin D (IgD) isotype, high lactate dehydrogenase, C-reactive protein, beta2-microglogulin levels, and a high myeloma cell burden in the bone marrow. The myeloma cells in both bone marrow and pleural effusion had characteristic features of plasmablasts, including gigantic size, large and eccentrically placed nuclei, fine cytoplasm, and prominent nucleoli. Immunophenotypical analysis showed the plasmablastic cells in the pleural effusion were positive for surface CD38, cytoplasmic immunoglobulin, both kappa and lambda light chains but negative for surface CD19 or CD79a. Our experience suggests that the diagnosis of myelomatous pleural effusion should be made with clinical alertness and careful cytological examination, preferably supplemented by immunophenotypical analysis.

RESUMEN

The first reversible interconversion process between a one-strand polymeric copper(II) complex {[Cu2(L1)2(ClO4)2](ClO4)2}n (1) and a dicopper(II) helicate [Cu2(L1-2H)2] (2), proceeding via a deprotonation-protonation process, can transduce fluorescence and function as a fluorescent switch simply by introducing a one fiftieth equivalent of coumarine 343 anion, a fluorophore.
