RESUMEN

For patients with advanced-stage metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who do not respond to [177Lu]Lu-PSMA therapy, there are limited treatment options. Clinical results obtained with [225Ac]Ac-PSMA are promising. We retrospectively analyzed the outcomes of patients treated with [225Ac]Ac-PSMA between December 2018 and October 2022. Methods: We evaluated the treatment results of 23 patients (mean age, 70.3 ± 8.8 y) with mCRPC who were refractory to treatment with [177Lu]Lu-PSMA (2-9 cycles). The safety profile was assessed according to Common Technology Criteria for Adverse Events version 5.0. Treatment efficacy was assessed using prostate-specific membrane antigen PET progression criteria and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) response according to Prostate Cancer Working Group 2 criteria after the first cycle of [225Ac]Ac-PSMA treatment. Results: All patients received androgen-deprivation therapy, whereas 22 (96%) and 19 (83%) patients received chemotherapy and second-generation antiandrogen therapy, respectively. One patient received 4 cycles, 2 received 3 cycles, 8 received 2 cycles, and 12 received 1 cycle of [225Ac]Ac-PSMA. The median interval between cycles was 13 wk (range, 8-28 wk). [225Ac]Ac-PSMA was administered with a mean activity of 7.6 MBq (range, 6.2-10.0 MBq) in each cycle. Patients were at an advanced stage of disease, and tumor burden was very high. Although the best PSA response was observed in 5 patients (26%) after [225Ac]Ac-PSMA treatment, there was at least some level of decline in PSA observed in 11 patients (58%; n = 19). Treatment response was assessed in patients who underwent [68Ga]Ga-PSMA PET/CT imaging. After the first cycle of treatment (n = 18), 50% of patients (n = 9) showed disease progression according to prostate-specific membrane antigen PET progression criteria, and the disease control rate was calculated to be 50%. Median progression-free survival was 3.1 mo, and median overall survival was 7.7 mo. Grade 3 hematologic toxicity occurred in 1 patient, and grade 3 nephrotoxicity was observed in another patient. Parotid SUVmax decreased by 33%, although all patients complained of dry mouth before treatment. Conclusion: We observed that [225Ac]Ac-PSMA therapy was safe and showed potential even in cases with advanced-stage mCRPC in which all other treatment options were completed.

RESUMEN

The observation of triplet-triplet absorption of salicylidene-p-toluidine, is complicated by the possible colored isomer formation during the optical pumping. The short-lived (singlet-singlet) and long-lived (triplet-triplet) absorption spectra were recorded phographically by microsecond flash and nanosecond laser flash photolysis techniques. Salicylidene-aniline complexes were purified by repeated recrystallisation until further recrystallisation produced no further changes for X-ray diffraction pattern and optical absorption, emission properties.

RESUMEN

Infrared, Fourier transform infrared, Raman, UV absorption and emission spectra of cresylviolet perchlorate (CV) in polyvinylbutyral (PVB) were recorded in the region 1250-4000 cm(-1) at room temperature and assignments have been made for the observed absorption emission and Raman scattered lines.

RESUMEN

Garnets doped with Nd+3 have attracted extensive interests because of their applications in solid-state lasers, as well as upconversion luminescence and magneto-optical and magnetic properties. Usually, these properties are closely related to the local structures and properties of the Nd+3 impurities in the hosts. Since information about electronic states and local structures of the impurity Nd+3 in the garnets would be helpful to the understanding of the properties of these materials, theoretical investigations on the specific heat functions and the local structures for these Nd+3 centers are of significance.

RESUMEN

The ultraviolet absorption and emissions as well as Stokes and anti-Stokes Raman scatterings of spectroscopically pure 5H-dibenzo(a,d)cycloheptene-5-ol were investigated by flash and laser-flash photolysis technique in solution at room temperature and at 77K. The whole spectrum, absorption, excitation, prompt and delayed fluorescence, T-T absorption spectra were recorded photographically and photoelectrically in the ultraviolet and visible region and phosphorescence spectrum, Stokes, anti-Stokes scatterings were recorded at 77K.

RESUMEN

The alpha-methallyl free radical is formed in the flash photolysis of 3-methylbut-1-ene, and cis-pent-2-ene in the vapor phase, and then subsequent reactions have been investigated by kinetic spectroscopy and gas-liquid chromatography. The photolysis flash was of short duration and it was possible to follow the kinetics of the radicals' decay, which occurred predominantly by bimolecular recombination. The measured rate constant for the alpha-methallyl recombination was (3.5+/-0.3) x 10(10) mol(-1) ls(-1) at 295+/-2K. The absolute extinction coefficients of the alpha-methallyl radical are calculated from the optical densities of the absorption bands. Detailed analysis of related absorption bands and lifetime measurements in the original alpha-methallyl high-resolution discrete absorption spectrum image were also carried out by image processing techniques.

RESUMEN

In principle the optical energy absorbed by a complex molecule raises that molecule to one of its excited states, and afterwards this excitation energy decays through the different relaxation channels. Initially, electronically excited naphthalene emits photons in the phosphorescence band of naphthalene and these emitted photons are absorbed by the acceptor molecule biacetyl, then excited biacetyl phosphoresces. In this investigation, sensitized phosphorescence decay times in different conditions were measured for naphthalene-biacetyl system in the vapor phase. The ultraviolet-visible spectrum of biacetyl vapor at room temperature conditions was broad and structureless.

RESUMEN

High resolution electronic absorption spectra of aniline and anilino free radical have been recorded in the vapor phase at room temperature by flash photolysis technique, and subsequent reactions have been investigated by kinetic spectroscopy. It was possible to follow the kinetics of the anilino radical's decay which occurred predominantly by bimolecular recombination. Decay parameters of anilino free radical were measured from the absorption bands.

RESUMEN

Electronic absorption spectra in the 210-250 nm region, were reported for the allyl radical in the vapor phase and subsequent reactions have been investigated by kinetic spectroscopy and gas-liquid chromatography. Extinction coefficients are calculated for the strong absorption bands of the allyl free radical by measured rate constants at room temperature.
