RESUMEN

Pulpitis is a common and frequent disease in dental clinics. Although vital pulp therapy and root canal treatment can stop the progression of inflammation, they do not allow for genuine structural regeneration and functional reconstruction of the pulp-dentin complex. In recent years, with the development of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, research on stem cell-based regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) has achieved satisfactory preliminary results, significantly enhancing its clinical translational prospects. As one of the crucial paracrine effectors, the roles and functions of exosomes in pulp-dentin complex regeneration have gained considerable attention. Due to their advantages of cost-effectiveness, extensive sources, favorable biocompatibility, and high safety, exosomes are considered promising therapeutic tools to promote dental pulp regeneration. Accordingly, in this article, we first focus on the biological properties of exosomes, including their biogenesis, uptake, isolation, and characterization. Then, from the perspectives of cell proliferation, migration, odontogenesis, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis, we aim to reveal the roles and mechanisms of exosomes involved in regenerative endodontics. Lastly, immense efforts are made to illustrate the clinical strategies and influencing factors of exosomes applied in dental pulp regeneration, such as types of parental cells, culture conditions of parent cells, exosome concentrations, and scaffold materials, in an attempt to lay a solid foundation for exploring and facilitating the therapeutic strategy of exosome-based regenerative endodontic procedures.

Based on data mining technology, the acupoints compatibility rules of acupuncture for depression diseases were explored. The randomized controlled trial (RCT) articles regarding acupuncture for depression diseases published from establishment of database to September 2nd, 2022 were searched in CNKI database, Wangfang database, VIP database, SinoMed database, PubMed, EMbase, Web of Science and Cochrane Library. The use frequency of acupoints, meridian tropism, selection of special acupoints and acupoint association rules for five common depression diseases, including primary depression, post-stroke depression, menopausal syndrome, psychoneurosis and anxiety disorder, were analyzed by Python programming language. Cytoscape software was used to analyze the acupoint association and the disease-acupoint co-occurrence network. As a result, totally 387 articles were included, and 319 acupoints prescriptions for the above five common depression diseases were extracted, involving 159 acupoints. The use frequency of acupoints was 2 574 times in total. The frequently-used acupoints were Baihui (GV 20), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Taichong (LR 3), Neiguan (PC 6), Shenmen (HT 7), Yintang (GV 24+), Zusanli (ST 36), Hegu (LI 4), Sishencong (EX-HN 1) and Taixi (KI 3), etc. The frequently involved meridians were the governor vessel, foot-taiyang bladder meridian, foot-taiyin spleen meridian, and foot-jueyin liver meridian. The frequency of the special acupoints from high to low was crossing points, five-shu points, yuan-primary points, back-shu points, luo-connecting points, and eight confluent points, etc, which were often used in combination with "Baihui (GV 20)-Yintang (GV 24+)" (the highest degree of association). At the same time, the analysis of the co-occurrence network of depression diseases and acupoints showed that the core acupoints group of acupuncture for depression diseases were Baihui (GV 20), Taichong (LR 3), Shenmen (HT 7), Zusanli (ST 36), Neiguan (PC 6) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6). In conclusion, acupuncture treatment for depression diseases has gradually formed a rule of acupoint compatibility, with special acupoint as the main body and "unblocking the governor vessel, and regulating the spirit and qi " as the main therapeutic principle.

We designed cholesterol- and phospholipid-free multilamellar niosomes (MLNs) structured by glyceryl monooleate (GMO) and poloxamer 407 (F127), and evaluated their capacity for transdermal drug delivery. The optimized MLNs had a mean size of 97.88 ± 63.25 nm and an encapsulation efficiency of 82.68% ± 2.14%. The MLNs exhibited a remarkable sustained cargo release, and improved the permeation of the stratum corneum. Compared with the tincture, lower transdermal flux but higher skin deposition of aconitine in vitro were achieved in the MLN group (p < 0.05). Additionally, both water-soluble rhodamine B- and liposoluble coumarin 6-labeled MLNs were found to penetrate deeply into the skin through the hair follicles and could be internalized by fibroblasts Notably, the MLNs possessed greater wettability, and the study focused on delivery to deeper hair follicles and up to the outer hair sheath, which showed advantages for treating diseases of hair follicles, and was potentially superior to the hydrophobic PLGA nanoparticles (diameter: 637.87 ± 22.77 nm) which mainly accumulated in superficial hair follicles. Hair follicles were therefore demonstrated to be an important way to enhance skin permeability, and MLNs are a promising alternative for topical and transdermal drug delivery.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the contents of tanshinone IIA in Radix Salviae Miltorrhizae from different species, production places and collecting time, for study its quantity from Shandong. METHODS: HPLC method was used. RESULTS: The contents of tanshinone IIA in Radix Salviae Miltorrhizae of Shandong ranged from 0.330%-0.726%. CONCLUSION: Setting the contents of tanshinone IIA as index, the quantity of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. f. alba C. Y. Wu et H. W. L. is better than Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.. The genuine production place-Mengyin is the best planting area; the plantable place is mountaing district hillyland. Planting in plain region is inadvisable; the best collecting time is middle September.

OBJECTIVE: To provide evidence for identification of the morphology and histology of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. METHODS: Using microscope and scanning electron microscope, characteristics of the Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. were studied comparatively. RESULTS: The surface of leaves, fruits, testa and pollen grain of the cultivated Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. showed different characteristics. CONCLUSION: The results of the study can be used for the identification of the Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. in Shandong.
