BACKGROUND: Despite the growing volume of neighborhood-level health disparity research, there remains a paucity of prospective studies investigating the relationship between Area Deprivation Index (ADI) and functional outcomes for patients undergoing hip arthroscopy. PURPOSE: To investigate the relationship between neighborhood-level socioeconomic status and functional outcomes after hip arthroscopy. STUDY DESIGN: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. METHODS: A retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data was performed on patients aged ≥18 years with minimum 1-year follow-up who underwent hip arthroscopy for the treatment of symptomatic labral tears. The study population was divided into ADILow and ADIHigh cohorts according to ADI score: a validated measurement of neighborhood-level socioeconomic status standardized to yield a score between 1 and 100. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) included the modified Harris Hip Score, Nonarthritic Hip Score, Hip Outcome Score-Activities of Daily Living, Hip Outcome Score-Sports-Specific Subscale, 33-item International Hip Outcome Tool, visual analog scale for pain, and patient satisfaction. RESULTS: A total of 228 patients met inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. After patients were stratified by ADI score (mean ± SD), the ADILow cohort (n = 113; 5.8 ± 3.0; range, 1-12) and ADIHigh cohort (n = 115; 28.0 ± 14.5; range, 13-97) had no differences in baseline patient demographics. The ADIHigh cohort had significantly worse preoperative baseline scores for all 5 PROMs; however, these differences were not present by 1-year follow-up. Furthermore, the 2 cohorts achieved similar rates of the minimal clinically important difference for all 5 PROMs and the Patient Acceptable Symptom State for 4 PROMs. When controlling for patient demographics, patients with higher ADI scores had greater odds of achieving the minimal clinically important difference for all PROMs except the 33-item International Hip Outcome Tool. CONCLUSION: Although hip arthroscopy patients experiencing a greater neighborhood-level socioeconomic disadvantage exhibited significantly lower preoperative baseline PROM scores, this disparity resolved at 1-year follow-up. In fact, when adjusting for patient characteristics including ADI score, more disadvantaged patients achieved greater odds of achieving the minimal clinically important difference. The present study is merely a first step toward understanding health inequities among patients seeking orthopaedic care. Further development of clinical guidelines and health policy research is necessary to advance care for patients from disadvantaged communities.

BACKGROUND: Thoracic discectomy procedures require early and adequate pain control to alleviate patient discomfort after surgery. The intraoperative placement of a nerve block after intercostal nerve violation can offer early pain management after thoracic discectomy. METHODS: The anatomy and technique of placing an intercostal nerve block after retropleural thoracic discectomy are described. Patient data were collected for patients who underwent this technique. RESULTS: This approach is presented with an illustrative figure and a review of relevant anatomical landmarks to describe the technique and ensure its reproducibility. Data for 93 patients (57 [61%] women; 36 [39%] men; mean [SD] age, 54.1 [14.1] years) who underwent the procedure are provided to assess the reliability of this technique CONCLUSIONS: Intercostal nerve blockage offers a valuable addition to postoperative pain management and may be considered as an available pain relief option for patients undergoing thoracic discectomy.

PURPOSE: To investigate the impact of social determinants of health (SDOH) disparities on 30-day emergency department (ED) visits, 90-day postoperative complications, and 5-year secondary surgery rates after primary hip arthroscopy using a large national database. METHODS: A national administrative claims database was used to identify patients who underwent primary hip arthroscopy with femoroplasty, acetabuloplasty, and/or labral repair between 2015 and 2022. Queries were performed to identify patients who experienced any SDOH disparities, including economic, educational, environmental, or social disparities; those experiencing SDOH disparities within 1 year prior to primary hip arthroscopy were matched 1:1 by age, sex, Elixhauser Comorbidity Index score, diabetes, obesity, and tobacco use to patients not experiencing any lifetime SDOH disparities. The odds of 90-day complications and 30-day ED visits were compared using multivariable logistic regression. Rates of 5-year revision hip arthroscopy and of any secondary surgery (revision hip arthroscopy or total hip arthroplasty) were compared by Kaplan-Meier analysis. RESULTS: A total of 3,383 primary hip arthroscopy patients who experienced SDOH disparities were matched 1:1 to a control cohort of 3,383 patients who did not experience SDOH disparities (age of 41.0 years and 79.6% female sex in both cohorts). The odds of adverse events after arthroscopy were low and did not differ between the SDOH cohort (1.51%) and no-SDOH cohort (1.57%, P = .09). Additionally, there was no difference in the odds of 30-day ED visits between the SDOH cohort (5.65%) and no-SDOH cohort (4.79%, P = .10). The rate of 5-year revision hip arthroscopy was significantly greater among patients experiencing SDOH disparities (5.4% vs 4.1%, P = .02); however, there was no difference in the rate of any secondary surgery between cohorts (11.8% vs 10.4%, P = .10). CONCLUSIONS: Patients experiencing SDOH disparities had similar odds of postoperative complications and ED visits after primary hip arthroscopy but greater rates of 5-year revision hip arthroscopy compared with a matched-control cohort of patients not experiencing SDOH disparities. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: It is commonly taught that thyroid eye disease (TED) causes enlargement of the extraocular muscles (EOMs) in the following descending order: inferior rectus (IR), medial rectus (MR), superior rectus (SR), lateral rectus (LR), superior oblique (SO) and inferior oblique (IO). However, with recent literature challenging this notion, we aimed to compare EOM volumes in our cohort of TED patients.  Methods: We conducted a retrospective, non-randomized case-control study. Twenty-eight orbits from 28 unique patients with TED who had high-resolution CT scans were compared to 31 normal orbits, all from a single academic institution. Orbital soft tissues were manually segmented using ITK-SNAP 3.8.0 (http://itksnap.org), and soft tissue volumes of the control and TED orbits were compared using independent-sample t-tests. RESULTS: Of the TED orbits, 54% of SR/levator palpebrae superioris complex volumes (SRC) and 50% of IR volumes were greater than two standard deviations above the normal orbit average. Compared to controls, the mean SRC volume in TED subjects was 2.3 times enlarged, followed by the IR (2.1 times), SO (1.8 times), MR (1.7 times), LR (1.6 times), IO (1.6 times), and orbital fat (1.4 times) (p < 0.01 for all).  Conclusions: Our findings suggest that contrary to previous teaching, the SRC may be the most severely affected in TED.

Meningiomas are the most common neoplasms of the central nervous system, accounting for approximately 40% of all brain tumors. Surgical resection represents the mainstay of management for symptomatic lesions. Preoperative planning is largely informed by neuroimaging, which allows for evaluation of anatomy, degree of parenchymal invasion, and extent of peritumoral edema. Recent advances in imaging technology have expanded the purview of neuroradiologists, who play an increasingly important role in meningioma diagnosis and management. Tumor vascularity can now be determined using arterial spin labeling and dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced sequences, allowing the neurosurgeon or neurointerventionalist to assess patient candidacy for preoperative embolization. Meningioma consistency can be inferred based on signal intensity; emerging machine learning technologies may soon allow radiologists to predict consistency long before the patient enters the operating room. Perfusion imaging coupled with magnetic resonance spectroscopy can be used to distinguish meningiomas from malignant meningioma mimics. In this comprehensive review, we describe key features of meningiomas that can be established through neuroimaging, including size, location, vascularity, consistency, and, in some cases, histologic grade. We also summarize the role of advanced imaging techniques, including magnetic resonance perfusion and spectroscopy, for the preoperative evaluation of meningiomas. In addition, we describe the potential impact of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, on meningioma diagnosis and management. A strong foundation of knowledge in the latest meningioma imaging techniques will allow the neuroradiologist to help optimize preoperative planning and improve patient outcomes.

OBJECTIVE: To understand current practices and challenges for collecting author feedback for English-language, industry-sponsored publications in Asia-Pacific (APAC), and the implications for adherence to international publication guidelines. METHODS: A cross-sectional, internet-based survey of industry ('internal') authors (17 questions) and publication professionals (18 questions) supporting publications in APAC, conducted between November 18 and December 4, 2022. RESULTS: Overall, 142 survey responses were received, of which 94 (66%) were complete and included in the analysis (33 internal authors, 61 publication professionals). Almost half (45%) of internal authors preferred a non-English language for providing feedback on publications, and most (70%) would use this language whenever possible. Internal authors favored written (91%) versus spoken (73%) English, and email was the preferred mode of communication. Publication professionals said they have observed qualitative differences when authors provide feedback in a preferred non-English language versus English. Many agreed that authors tend to provide more substantive or critical feedback when they can respond in their preferred non-English language. Internal authors had low self-assessed familiarity with key publication guidelines, while most publication professionals had a moderate or high self-assessed familiarity. The main barriers to application of publication guidelines, as rated by publication professionals, were that external authors in APAC are not familiar with global publication guidelines and do not always provide feedback/responses in writing. CONCLUSION: It is important to consider the diverse language, cultural, and communication preferences of individuals involved in English-language publication development in APAC, and to ensure that authors are aware of current publication guidelines and best practices.

αß T cell receptors (TCRs) principally recognize aberrant peptides bound to major histocompatibility complex molecules (pMHCs) on unhealthy cells, amplifying specificity and sensitivity through physical load placed on the TCR-pMHC bond during immunosurveillance. To understand this mechanobiology, TCRs stimulated by abundantly and sparsely arrayed epitopes (NP366-374/Db and PA224-233/Db, respectively) following in vivo influenza A virus infection were studied with optical tweezers. While certain NP repertoire CD8 T lymphocytes require many ligands for activation, others are digital, needing just few. Conversely, all PA TCRs perform digitally, exhibiting pronounced bond lifetime increases through sustained, energizing volleys of structural transitioning. Optimal digital performance is superior in vivo, correlating with ERK phosphorylation, CD3 loss, and activation marker up-regulation in vitro. Given neoantigen array paucity, digital TCRs are likely critical for immunotherapies.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and externally validate an updated artificial intelligence (AI) prediction system for stratifying the risk of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in T2 colorectal cancer (CRC). SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: Recent technical advances allow complete local excision of T2 CRC, traditionally treated with surgical resection. Yet, the widespread adoption of this approach is hampered by the inability to stratify the risk of LNM. METHODS: Data from pT2 CRC patients undergoing surgical resection between April 2000 and May 2022 at one Japanese and one Italian center were analyzed. Primary goal was AI system development for accurate LNM prediction. Predictors encompassed seven variables: age, sex, tumor size and location, lympho-vascular invasion, histological differentiation, and carcinoembryonic antigen level. The tool's discriminating power was assessed via Area Under the Curve (AUC), sensitivity, and specificity. RESULTS: Out of 735 initial patients, 692 were eligible. Training and validation cohorts comprised of 492 and 200 patients, respectively. The AI model displayed an AUC of 0.75 in the combined validation dataset. Sensitivity for LNM prediction was 97.8% and specificity was 15.6%. The Positive and the Negative Predictive Value were 25.7% and 96% respectively. The False Negative (FN) rate was 2.2%, the False Positive was 84.4%. CONCLUSIONS: Our AI model, based on easily accessible clinical and pathological variables, moderately predicts LNM in T2 CRC. However, the risk of FN needs to be considered. The training of the model including more patients across Western and Eastern centers -differentiating between colon and rectal cancers- may improve its performance and accuracy.

Background: While studies have assessed comparative rates of restoration of shoulder function and alleviation of symptoms, comparative systemic postoperative complication rates between biceps tenotomy and tenodesis have yet to be assessed. The purpose of the present study was to use a national administrative database to perform a comprehensive investigation into 30-day complication rates after biceps tenotomy versus tenodesis, thus providing valuable insights for informed decision-making by clinicians and patients regarding the optimal surgical approach for pathologies of the long head of the biceps tendon. Methods: The National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database was queried to analyze postoperative complication rates and metrics associated with biceps tenotomy and tenodesis. Patient data spanning from 2012 to 2021 was extracted, with relevant variables assessed to identify and compare these two surgical approaches. Adjusted and unadjusted analyses were utilized to analyze patient demographics, comorbidities, operative times, lengths of stay, readmissions, adverse events, and yearly surgical volume, along with trends in usage, across cohorts. Results: Of 11,527 total patients, 264 (2.29%), 6826 (59.22%), and 4437 (38.49%) underwent tenotomy, tenodesis with open repair, and tenodesis with arthroscopic repair, respectively. Tenotomy operative times ([mean ± SD]: 66.25 ± 44.76 minutes) were shorter than those for open tenodesis (78.83 ± 41.82) and arthroscopic tenodesis (75.98 ± 40.16). Conversely, tenotomy patients had longer hospital days (0.88 ± 4.86 days) relative to open tenodesis (.08 ± 1.55) and arthroscopic tenodesis (.12 ± 2.70). Multivariable logistic regression controlling for demographics and comorbidities demonstrated that patients undergoing tenodesis were less likely to be readmitted (adjusted odds ratio [AOR]: 0.42, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.17-0.98, P = .050) or sustain serious adverse events (AOR: 0.27, 95% CI: 0.13-0.57, P < .001), but equally likely to sustain minor adverse events (AOR: 0.87, CI: 0.21-3.68, P = .850), compared with patients undergoing tenotomy. Lastly, comparing utilization rates from 2012 to 2021 revealed a significant decrease in the proportion of tenotomy (from 6.2% to 1.0%) compared to open tenodesis (from 41.0% to 57.3%) and arthroscopic tenodesis (52.8% to 41.64%; P trend = .001). Conclusion: To our knowledge, this is the first large national database study investigating postoperative complication rates between the various surgical treatments for pathologies of the long head of the biceps tendon. Our results suggest that tenodesis yields fewer serious adverse events and lower readmission rates than tenotomy. We also found a shorter operative time for tenotomy. These findings support the increased utilization of tenodesis relative to tenotomy in recent years.

Recent phylogenetic profiling of pneumococcal serotype 3 (Pn3) isolates revealed a dynamic interplay among major lineages with the emergence and global spread of a variant termed clade II. The cause of Pn3 clade II dissemination along with epidemiological and clinical ramifications are currently unknown. Here, we sought to explore biological characteristics of dominant Pn3 clades in a mouse model of pneumococcal invasive disease and carriage. Carriage and virulence potential were strain dependent with marked differences among clades. We found that clinical isolates from Pn3 clade II are less virulent and less invasive in mice compared to clade I isolates. We also observed that clade II isolates are carried for longer and at higher bacterial densities in mice compared to clade I isolates. Taken together, our data suggest that the epidemiological success of Pn3 clade II could be related to alterations in the pathogen's ability to cause invasive disease and to establish a robust carriage episode.

Bile acids (BA) are synthesized in the human liver and undergo metabolism by host gut bacteria. In diseased states, gut microbial dysbiosis may lead to high primary unconjugated BA concentrations and significant perturbations to secondary BA. Hence, it is important to understand the microbial-mediated formation kinetics of secondary bile acids using physiologically relevant ex vivo human faecal microbiota models. Here, we optimized an ex vivo human faecal microbiota model to recapitulate the metabolic kinetics of primary unconjugated BA and applied it to investigate the formation kinetics of novel secondary BA metabolites and their sequential pathways. We demonstrated (1) first-order depletion of primary BA, cholic acid (CA) and chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA), under non-saturable conditions and (2) saturable Michaelis-Menten kinetics for secondary BA metabolite formation with increasing substrate concentration. Notably, relatively lower Michaelis constants (Km) were associated with the formation of deoxycholic acid (DCA, 14.3 µM) and lithocholic acid (LCA, 140 µM) versus 3-oxo CA (>1000 µM), 7-keto DCA (443 µM) and 7-keto LCA (>1000 µM), thereby recapitulating clinically observed saturation of 7α-dehydroxylation relative to oxidation of primary BA. Congruently, metagenomics revealed higher relative abundance of functional genes related to the oxidation pathway as compared to the 7α-dehydroxylation pathway. In addition, we demonstrated gut microbial-mediated hyocholic acid (HCA) and hyodeoxycholic acid (HDCA) formation from CDCA. In conclusion, we optimized a physiologically relevant ex vivo human faecal microbiota model to investigate gut microbial-mediated metabolism of primary BA and present a novel gut microbial-catalysed two-step pathway from CDCA to HCA and, subsequently, HDCA.

Background and objectives: Contingency management (CM) for substance use disorders (SUD) is effective in strengthening recovery behaviors, however can be quite burdensome. When health facilities experience staff shortages, adapting current CM protocols to be less staff and time intensive may be one way to address this challenge. Methods: Case series (N = 3). Results: Three veterans with opioid use disorder (OUD) received CM for treatment adherence through a Veteran Health Administration Outpatient Substance Disorder program. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional CM procedures resulted in limited accessibility and staff, delayed appointments, and decreased patient satisfaction. In response, the hybrid telehealth contingency management (HTCM) procedure was developed and implemented. Flexibility offered by HTCM allowed for consecutive completion of appointments and maintained adherence to BUP-XR treatment. Conclusions: This is a novel method of CM implementation. HTCM streamlined the process and was successful in increasing accessibility, reducing time-burden on patients and staff, while preserving fidelity to key components of the model. Considerations for future implementation and implications of HTCM are discussed.

To facilitate the detection and management of potential clinical antiviral resistance, in vitro selection of drug-resistant severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) against the virus Mpro inhibitor nirmatrelvir (Paxlovid active component) was conducted. Six Mpro mutation patterns containing T304I alone or in combination with T21I, L50F, T135I, S144A, or A173V emerged, with A173V+T304I and T21I+S144A+T304I mutations showing >20-fold resistance each. Biochemical analyses indicated inhibition constant shifts aligned to antiviral results, with S144A and A173V each markedly reducing nirmatrelvir inhibition and Mpro activity. SARS-CoV-2 surveillance revealed that in vitro resistance-associated mutations from our studies and those reported in the literature were rarely detected in the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data database. In the Paxlovid Evaluation of Protease Inhibition for COVID-19 in High-Risk Patients trial, E166V was the only emergent resistance mutation, observed in three Paxlovid-treated patients, none of whom experienced COVID-19-related hospitalization or death.

BACKGROUND: Hospitals use Press Ganey surveys to evaluate patient satisfaction. The goal of our study was to evaluate whether surgeon-driven gifting to patients postoperatively affects Press Ganey Survey responses. METHODS: There were 1,468 patients undergoing arthroplasty at our institution who were randomized to receive a thank-you gift, a small bouquet of flowers, and a note from their provider after surgery, or nothing for completing their preoperative arthroplasty registry questionnaire. Press Ganey surveys were sent to patients who received and did not receive flowers immediately after their hospital stay and after the patients' first postoperative visit. Scores were reported as the mean score and the fraction of responses with a top-box rating. One-sided student t-tests and Fisher's exact tests were used to assess statistical significance. RESULTS: Hospital Discharge: Patients who received flowers had higher Press Ganey survey scores than patients who did not receive flowers. For example, for "physician's concerns for questions," they had higher scores (mean difference: 3.7 ± 1.6 points, P = .012) and a 9% higher top-box rating (P = .032). For "staff attitude toward visitors," they also had higher scores (mean difference: 2.8 ± 1.3 points, P = .019) and a 7% higher top-box rating (P = .049). First Follow-up: Patients who received flowers had a higher top-box rating for "concern provider showed for questions" and "amount of time provider spent with you" by 6% (P = .046) and 11% (P = .009), respectively. They also had higher scores for "information provider gave about medications" (mean difference: 4.0 ± 1.6 points, P = .009) and 11% higher top-box rating (P = .006). CONCLUSIONS: Press Ganey Surveys were higher in orthopaedic patients who received bouquets of flowers from their arthroplasty surgeons compared to patients who did not. At follow-up, improved Press Ganey scores persisted if the patient received flowers. The gift of flowers generates patient loyalty to their surgeon.

Minimally invasive spine approaches offer a wide variety of advantages for spondylolisthesis management. This intraoperative note describes the treatment of L4-L5 lumbar spondylolisthesis with lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) and percutaneous pedicle screw fixation (PSF). METHODS: The surgical technique for treating L4-L5 lumbar spondylolisthesis using a minimally invasive approach with LLIF and percutaneous PSF is described. This operative technique is illustrated with figures, and an intraoperative case example of its application is described. RESULTS: LLIF with percutaneous PSF can be a safe, effective, and reliable option for treating lumbar spondylolisthesis when applied with appropriate surgical technique in a selected patient population. This technique is a valuable addition to the range of available spine surgical options. CONCLUSIONS: LLIF with percutaneous PSF can be an effective technique for treating lumbar L4-L5 spondylolisthesis.

BACKGROUND: Mechanical thrombectomy represents a mainstay of management for acute ischemic stroke in the setting of large vessel occlusion. However, there are no clinical practice guidelines defining the role of thrombectomy at the extremes of age. In this scoping review, we aimed to summarize the existing medical and neurosurgical literature pertaining to mechanical thrombectomy in nonagenarians. The PubMed database was queried using the following terms and relevant citations assessed: "thrombectomy nonagenarian," "thrombectomy age 90," "stroke nonagenarian," and "ischemic stroke thrombectomy." Common measurable outcomes, including mortality, modified Rankin scale (mRS) score, and thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (TICI) scale score, were utilized to compare results. SUMMARY: Thrombectomy was shown to improve functional outcomes in all eight of the studies included in the analysis. Mortality was assessed in only two reported studies, and thrombectomy was shown to provide a mortality benefit in 1 study among patients for whom first-pass reperfusion was achieved. Other outcomes of reported interest included greater early neurologic recovery at discharge and improved functional outcomes at 90 days among nonagenarians who underwent thrombectomy as compared to those who received thrombolytic therapy alone. Nonagenarians with good functional status at baseline were the most likely to have favorable outcomes. KEY MESSAGES: Mechanical thrombectomy improves outcomes among nonagenarians presenting with acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion. Further large-scale prospective studies are warranted to optimize patient selection and develop clinical practice guidelines specific to this important patient demographic.

RESUMEN

Recent advancements in PET technology have culminated in the development of total-body PET (TB-PET) systems, which overcome many limitations of traditional scanners. These TB-PET scanners, while still becoming widely available, represent the forefront of clinical imaging across numerous medical institutions worldwide. Early clinical applications have demonstrated their enhanced image quality, precise lesion quantification, and overall superior performance relative to conventional scanners. The capabilities of TB-PET technology, including extended scan range, ultrahigh sensitivity, exceptional temporal resolution, and dynamic imaging, offer significant potential to tackle unresolved clinical challenges in medical imaging. In this discussion, we aim to explore the emerging applications, opportunities, and future perspectives of TB-PET/CT in musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Clinical applications for both oncologic and non-oncologic musculoskeletal diseases are discussed, including inflammatory arthritis, infections, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and skeletal muscle disorders. From the ability to visualize small musculoskeletal structures and the entire axial and appendicular skeleton, TB-PET shows significant potential in the diagnosis and management of MSD conditions as it becomes more widely available.

INTRODUCTION: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is characterized by amyloid ß (Aß) deposition in brain vessels, leading to hemorrhagic phenomena and cognitive impairment. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based criteria allow a diagnosis of probable CAA in vivo, but such a diagnosis cannot predict the eventual development of CAA. METHODS: We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 464 patients with cognitive disorders whose data were included in a brain health biobank. De-identified parameters including sex, age, cognitive score, APOE status, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) levels of Aß 1-40, Aß 1-42, phosphorylated tau, and total tau were assessed in those with and without CAA. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were determined. RESULTS: CAA was present in 53 of 464 (11.5%) patients. P-tau level was significantly higher in those with CAA (115 vs. 84.3 pg/mL p = 0.038). In univariate analyses, the risk of developing CAA was higher with increased age (OR, 1.036; 95% CI: 1.008, 1.064; p = 0.011) and decreased CSF level of Aß 1-40 (OR, 0.685; 95% CI: 0.534, 0.878; p = 0.003). In multivariate analyses, the risk of CAA remained higher with a decreased CSF level of Aß 1-40 (OR, 0.681; 95% CI: 0.531, 0.874; p = 0.003). CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that Aß 1-40 levels in the CSF might be a useful molecular biomarker of CAA in patients with dementia.
