[Strategies for Conservation of Endangered Amphibian and Reptile Species].

Strategies for conservation of endangered amphibian and reptile species are discussed. Clinicomorphological analysis of 8 necropsies of primary hemochromatosis permitted recognizing 2 main versions of the disease course: with a primary damage to the liver and pancreas and with a primary injury to the heart, with the latter version being encountered in patients of a younger age and running a more malignant course. The thanatogenesis of patients with hemochromatosis may be linked with acute renal failure.

[Common patterns of the local immune reactions in precancer and cancer of various organs]. / Obshchie zakonomernosti mestnykh immunnykh reaktsii pri rake razlichnykh organov.

Histochemical, morphological and ultrastructural studies of 208 cases of carcinoma of various organs (stomach, colon, lung, mammary gland, bladder, thyroid) and 159 cases of precancerous or risk disease of these organs are given. The degree and properties of local immune reactions in precancer, incipient and advanced carcinoma are compared. The degree of the epithelium and stroma infiltration with the immunocompetent cells as well as the cell composition of the infiltrate vary at different stages of tumour development and depending on its histological structure. Cytotoxic effect of the immunocompetent cells on the tumour cells is revealed, this effect decreasing in advanced carcinoma.

[Dynamics of the cellular immune reactions in precancer and cancer of the large intestine]. / Dinamika kletochnykh immunnykh reaktsii pri predrake i rake tolstoi kishki.

Ninety cases of colon precancer and cancer were examined histologically, histochemically and morphometrically from the viewpoint of cell immune reactions of local connective tissue and regional lymph nodes. It is found that the intensity of mutual cell responses of local connective tissue, colon lymph follicles and regional lymph nodes increases in parallel with the malignization of adenomatous polyps and villous adenomata, reaches a peak in the incipient carcinoma and rapidly decreases when the invasive growth starts. The correlation between the plasma cells and lymphoid cells changes, the relative density of the latter is the greatest in the incipient carcinoma. The data obtained may be used for the incipient carcinoma diagnosis and for prognosis.
