RESUMEN

The skin is the immune system's first line of defense. Extensive skin burns can lead to tissue necrosis, sepsis, and even death. Anti-infectious care of burn wounds is a major challenge in clinical medicine. However, the extensive use of antibiotics led to the emergence of multi-drug-resistant bacteria and silver dressings with antibacterial effects are also cytotoxic. We used the natural cationic antibacterial agent ε-polylysine (EPL) to graft Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) to synthesize EPL-EGCG. Then, we used methacrylated gelatin (GelMA) with arginine-glycine-aspartate-rich acid (RGD) sequence and EPL-EGCG form interpenetrating polymer network hydrogels with excellent swelling properties. The hydrogel's inherent antibacterial properties and photo-cross-linking properties can cover irregular burn wounds and isolate bacteria to prevent infection. In addition, we used polydopamine (PDA) to coat GelMA microspheres with excellent hemostatic efficacy and load platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance the hemostatic efficacy of the microspheres and impart inflammation-regulating functions. The hydrogel showed excellent hemostatic efficacy in rat liver injury and tail vein injury models. In the rat infected burn model, the hydrogel exhibited favorable antimicrobial, pro-angiogenic, and anti-inflammatory phenotype polarization of macrophages. Our study shows that GelMA/EPL-EGCG/GM-PDA@PRP hydrogel application has excellent antibacterial, hemostatic and anti-inflammatory effects, providing a new treatment strategy for wound care before burn skin grafting.

RESUMEN

This study established an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) method to determine the content of five index components in rat tissues and organs after administration of Shuganning Injection or Scutellariae Radix extract. The dynamic changes and differences of the distribution of the five index components over time between the two groups were studied, and the effects of Scutellariae Radix alone or in combination with other medicines on the tissue distribution of the five components were explored. After Shuganning Injection or Scutellariae Radix extract was injected into the tail vein of rats, the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, stomach, intestine, and brain tissue samples were collected at four time points of 0.17, 0.5, 1, and 2 h, respectively. UPLC-MS/MS was employed to measure the concentrations of the five index components(baicalin, baicalein, oroxylin A, oroxylin A-7-O-ß-D-glucuronide, and scutellarin) in the samples of the two groups. The results showed that the established method was simple, fast, and exclusively stable. After the administration of Shuganning Injection and Scutellariae Radix extract, the five index components presented wide distribution and had differences in vivo. The two groups showcased abundant distribution of baicalin, baicalein, and oroxylin A in the kidney and liver, oroxylin A-7-O-ß-D-glucuronide in the kidney and brain, and scutellarin in the kidney and heart. The content of baicalin in the heart, liver, kidney, and intestine, baicalein in the liver and kidney, and oroxylin A in the lung after administration of Shuganning Injection(Scutellariae Radix in combination with other medicines) was significantly higher than that after administration of Scutellariae Radix extract. The results of this study suggested that the five components of Shuganning Injection and Scutellariae Radix extract demonstrated wide distribution without accumulation in rats. The combination of Scutellariae Radix with other medicines can increase the distribution of active components in rats, which provided a basis for explaining the rationality of the compatibility of Shuganning Injection from in vivo processes.

RESUMEN

Global water resources affected by excessive nitrate (NO3-) have caused a series of human and ecological problems. Therefore, identification of NO3- sources and transformations is of pivotal significance in the strategic governance of widespread NO3- contaminant. In this investigation, a combination of statistical analysis, chemical indicators, isotopes, and MixSIAR model approaches was adopted to reveal the hydrochemical factors affecting NO3- concentrations and quantify the contribution of each source to NO3- concentrations in surface water and groundwater. The findings revealed that high groundwater NO3- concentration is concentrated in the southwestern region, peaking at 271 mg/L. NO3- concentration in the Wei River and Yuxian River exhibited an increase from upstream to downstream, but in the Shidi River and Luowen River, its concentration was highest in the upstream. Groundwater NO3- has noticeable correlation with Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl-, HCO3-, TDS, EC, and ORP. In surface water, NO3- level is significantly correlated with NH4+ and ORP. Major sources of NO3- in surface and groundwater comprise manure & sewage and soil nitrogen. Surface water was calculated by MixSIAR model to obtain soil nitrogen (57.7%), manure & sewage (23.8%), chemical fertilizer (12%), and atmospheric deposition (6.4%). In groundwater, soil nitrogen and manure & sewage accounted for 19% and 63.8%, respectively. Both surface water and groundwater exhibited strong oxidation, with nitrification the primary process. It is expected that this study will provide insights into the dynamics of NO3- and contribute to the development of effective strategies for mitigating NO3- contaminant, leading to sustainable management of water resources.

RESUMEN

Diabetic macroangiopathy is a leading cause of diabetes-related mortality worldwide. Both genetic and environmental factors, through a multitude of underlying molecular mechanisms, contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetic macroangiopathy. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a class of non-coding RNAs known for their functional diversity and expression specificity, are increasingly recognized for their roles in the initiation and progression of diabetes and diabetic macroangiopathy. In this review, we will describe the biogenesis of miRNAs, and summarize their functions in diabetic macroangiopathy, including atherosclerosis, peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease, and cerebrovascular disease, which are anticipated to provide new insights into future perspectives of miRNAs in basic, translational and clinical research, ultimately advancing the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diabetic macroangiopathy.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Clinical evidence of the potential influence of stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR) for patients with large ischemic stroke whether or not receiving endovascular therapy is not clear. METHODS: This study was a subanalysis of a prospective, multicenter registry, and included 745 patients with large ischemic stroke across 38 centers in China. A total of 427 patients were included in this study, with 285 received endovascular therapy (EVT) and 142 received standard medical therapy (SMT). SHR was defined as glucose (mmol/L)/(1.59 × HbA1C)-2.59. The primary outcome was a moderate neurological outcome (modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score ≤3) at 90 days. RESULTS: A significant interaction was observed between SHR and whether received EVT (p=0.017). Among patients who received EVT (adjusted OR (aOR) 0.46; 95% CI 0.23 to 0.92; p=0.029), patients in the highest tertile of SHR were significantly less likely to achieve a moderate neurological outcome at 90 days compared with those in the lowest tertile. However, this association was not observed in patients receiving SMT (aOR 2.46; 95% CI 0.74 to 8.21; p=0.142). EVT patients with higher SHR had a significantly higher incidence of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage compared with lower SHR (aOR 3.29; 95% CI 1.08 to 10.06; p=0.036), while such an association was not observed in the SMT group (aOR 1.52; 95% CI 0.56 to 4.12; p=0.410). CONCLUSIONS: In patients with large ischemic stroke treated with EVT, SHR is associated with a reduced likelihood of achieving a moderate neurological outcome, as well as an increased risk of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage. RESUMEN

Endoscopic treatment is generally recommended for the duodenal epithelial adenoma. Although underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (UEMR) has become established as an effective modality for the superficial duodenal adenoma. However, it is difficult to completely remove a large superficial duodenal adenoma with en bloc resection. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is commonly performed to remove a large superficial duodenal adenoma, whereas which is technically challenged with severe adverse events. It has reported that entire traction using clip-and-nylon ring with ESD was effective and safe in the removal of a large rectal sessile serrated adenoma (SSA). Herein, we shared our experience of the novel three traction rings device in the treatment of a large superficial duodenal adenoma.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Tension-free vaginal tape-Abbrevo (TVT-A) and tension-free vaginal tape-Obturator (TVT-O) are the main procedures for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in females. This study investigated the clinical efficacy of TVT-A versus TVT-O for the treatment of SUI in elderly women. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 126 cases of SUI in elderly female patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023. The patients were divided into TVT-A group (65 cases) and TVT-O group (61 cases) according to the surgical methods. Follow-up was conducted via outpatient examination and telephone. Perioperative conditions, surgical outcomes, postoperative complications and quality of life were analysed and compared between the two groups. RESULTS: No statistically significant difference in surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, indwelling catheter duration, average hospital days, bladder injury, urethral injury, incision infection, dysuria, cured rate and quality of life was found between the two groups (p > 0.05). The incidence of postoperative groin pain in the TVT-A group was significantly lower than that in the TVT-O group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of TVT-A and TVT-O in treating SUI in older women is about the same. However, TVT-A is more minimally invasive, safer and has fewer complications.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Gut microbiota has been reported to be perturbed by cisplatin and to modulate the nephrotoxicity of chemotherapeutic agents. However, the critical role of toralactone, a bioactive components of Cassia obtusifolia L. seeds, in modulating the gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity remains to be elucidated. METHODS: In this study, we verified the reno-protective effects of toralactone and compared the composition and function of the gut microbiota in the normal, cisplatin-treated and low or high dose of toralactone-treated mice using 16S rDNA gene sequencing. We also investigated the gut microbiota related LPS/TLR4/NF-κB/TNF-α pathway in renal tissue. To elucidate the causal relationship between gut dysbiosis and cisplatin nephrotoxicity, an antibiotic cocktail was administered to deplete the gut microbiota and fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) was performed prior to cisplatin treatment. RESULTS: The renal histopathology showed that toralactone significantly alleviated cisplatin-induced renal injury. 16S rDNA gene sequencing analysis demonstrated that toralactone treatment effectively reversed cisplatin-induced gut microbiota dysbiosis in mice. FMT from toralactone-treated mice to cisplatin-induced kidney injury mice was observed to have the reno-protective effects, and deletion of gut microbiota by antibiotics was found to negate the reno-protective effect of toralactone. Interestingly, the renal tissue of cisplatin-associated kidney injury mice showed activation of the LPS/TLR4/NF-κB pathway and increase in TNF-α within the renal tissue, whereas toralactone treatment was observed to inhibit the LPS/TLR4/NF-κB/TNF-α pathway. CONCLUSION: This study elucidated the reno-protective effects for the first time, demonstrating that it exerts its beneficial effects through the gut microbiota, which mediate the LPS/TLR4/NF-κB/TNF-α inflammatory pathway. It may help to develop therapeutic approaches using toralactone and targeted restoration of the gut microbiota.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Ovarian clear cell carcinoma rarely responds to second-line chemotherapy, the recommended treatment for relapsed epithelial ovarian cancer. Here, we report the activity and safety of sintilimab in combination with bevacizumab in patients with relapsed or persistent ovarian clear cell carcinoma. METHODS: In the prospective, multicentre, single-arm, phase 2 INOVA trial, patients aged 18-75 years with histologically confirmed relapsed or persistent ovarian clear cell carcinoma were enrolled from eight tertiary hospitals in China. Eligible patients had an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status score of 0-2 and previous exposure to at least one cycle of platinum-containing chemotherapy. Enrolled patients received sintilimab (200 mg) and bevacizumab (15 mg/kg) intravenously every 3 weeks until disease progression. The primary endpoint was objective response rate assessed by independent central review based on Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumours version 1.1. Eligible enrolled patients who received at least one cycle of treatment and had at least one tumour response assessment following the baseline assessment per protocol were included in the activity analysis. Patients who received at least one dose of study drug were included in the safety analysis. The study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04735861) and is ongoing. FINDINGS: Between April 8, 2021, and July 3, 2023, 51 patients were screened and 41 patients received at least one dose of sintilimab in combination with bevacizumab. Response evaluation was completed in 37 patients. Objective responses were observed in 15 patients (objective response rate 40·5%; 95% CI 24·8-57·9), of which five (14%) were complete responses and ten (27%) were partial responses. At data cutoff (Jan 29, 2024), the median follow-up was 16·9 months (IQR 7·5-23·4). Three (7%) patients developed grade 3 treatment-related adverse events including one patient with proteinuria, one patient with myocarditis, and one patient with rash. No treatment-related adverse events of worse than grade 3 severity were recorded. Treatment-related serious adverse events occurred in two (5%) patients including one patient with immune-related myocarditis and another with hypertension and renal dysfunction. No treatment-related deaths occurred. INTERPRETATION: Sintilimab in combination with bevacizumab showed promising anti-tumour activity and manageable safety in patients with relapsed or persistent ovarian clear cell carcinoma. Larger, randomised trials are warranted to compare this low-toxicity, chemotherapy-free combinatorial regimen with standard chemotherapy. RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The Chinese visceral adiposity index (CVAI) is a new index to evaluate visceral adipose tissue in the Chinese population. Arterial stiffness (AS) is a kind of degeneration of the large arteries, and obesity is an essential contributing factor to AS. Our study aimed to explore the longitudinal association between CVAI and the risk of AS and to compare the predictive power of CVAI, body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference (WC) for AS. METHODS: Between 2010 and 2020, a total of 14,877 participants participating in at least two brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) measurements from the Kailuan study were included. The Cox proportional hazard regression models were performed to evaluate the longitudinal association between CVAI and the risk of AS. The area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was calculated to compare the predictive power of CVAI, BMI, and WC for AS. RESULTS: After adjusting for potential confounding factors, CVAI was significantly associated with the risk of AS. Compared with the first CVAI quartile, the hazard ratios (HR) and 95% CI of the second, third, and fourth quartiles were 1.30 (1.09-1.56), 1.37 (1.15-1.63), and 1.49 (1.24-1.78), respectively. The area under ROC curve of CVAI was 0.661, significantly higher than BMI (AUC: 0.582) and WC (AUC: 0.606). CONCLUSION: CVAI may be a reliable indicator to identify high-risk groups of AS in the Chinese general population, and the predictive power of CVAI for AS was better than BMI and WC.

RESUMEN

This study aimed to explore the pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of different processing methods of Ligustrum lucidum Ait. (LLA) in addressing kidney-yin deficiency (KYD). Forty-eight Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into eight groups based on their weight. The KYD model was established by intragastric administration of levothyroxine sodium. Each group was administered the corresponding treatment for 15 consecutive days. The general condition of the rats during the treatment period was observed. In addition, the levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), and the ratio of cAMP to cGMP in the serum of rats from different groups were measured. Serum samples were analyzed using the ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC)-Orbitrap Fusion MS technique for metabolomics analysis. Compared with the model group, the general condition of the rats in the wine-steamed L. lucidum group (WL) and salt-steamed L. lucidum group (SSL) groups showed significant improvement. The serum levels of cAMP, cGMP, and the cAMP-to-cGMP ratio tended to return to normal. Metabolic analysis identified 38 relevant biomarkers and revealed 3 major metabolic pathways: phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan biosynthesis; phenylalanine metabolism; and sphingolipid metabolism. The different processing methods of LLA demonstrated therapeutic effects on KYD in rats, likely related to the restoration of disturbed metabolism by adjusting the levels of endogenous metabolites in the kidney. The SSL demonstrated significantly superior effects compared with the other four types of LLA processed products.

RESUMEN

AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effects of hydrogel dressings on neurotrophic keratitis in rats. METHODS: Male Wistar rats, aged 42-56d, were randomly divided into control, experimental, and treatment groups, each consisting of five rats. The experimental and treatment groups underwent neurotrophic keratitis modeling in both eyes. After successful modeling, biomedical hydrogels formed with polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyrrolidone were used in treatment group for 7d. Ocular irritation response and keratitis index scores, Schirmer's test, tear film break-up time (BUT), sodium fluorescein staining, and hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment. RESULTS: The neurotrophic keratitis model was successfully established in rats with severe ophthalmic nerve injury, characterized by keratitis, ocular irritation, reduced tear secretion measured by decreased BUT and Schirmer test values, corneal epithelial loss, and disorganized collagen fibers in the stromal layer. Following treatment with hydrogel dressings, significant improvements were observed in keratitis scores and ocular irritation symptoms in model eyes. Although the recovery of tear secretion, as measured by the Schirmer's test, did not show statistical differences, BUT was significantly prolonged. Fluorescein staining confirmed a reduction in the extent of corneal epithelial loss after treatment. HE staining revealed the restoration of the structural disorder in both the epithelial and stromal layers to a certain extent. CONCLUSION: Hydrogel dressing reduces ocular surface irritation, improves tear film stability, and promotes the repair and restoration of damaged epithelial cells by maintaining a moist and clean environment on the ocular surface in the rat model.

RESUMEN

The T cell immunoglobulin and immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif domain (TIGIT), a newly discovered checkpoint, is characterized by its elevated expression on CD4 + T cells, CD8 + T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs). Research to date has been shown that TIGIT has been linked to exhaustion of NK cell both and T cells in numerous cancers. CD155, being the specific ligand of TIGIT in humans, emerges as a key target for immunotherapy owing to its crucial interaction with TIGIT. Furthermore, numerous studies have demonstrated that the combination of TIGIT with other immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and/or traditional treatments elicits a potent antitumor response in colorectal cancer (CRC). This review provides an overview of the structure, function, and signaling pathways associated with TIGIT across multiple immune system cell types. Additionally, focusing on the role of TIGIT in the progression of CRC, this study reviewed various studies exploring TIGIT-based immunotherapy in CRC.

RESUMEN

A-35-year-old woman presented our hospital with half a year's history of solid food dysphagia. An upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed a large submucosal mass in an esophageal diverticulum near the gastroesophageal junction. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) confirmed a hypoechoic lesion arising from the muscularis propria layer with the size of 25*14 mm. Therefore, submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection (STER) was proposed to remove the large submucosal lesion in addition to targeted septotomy of the esophageal diverticula. A 2-cm longitudinal mucosal access was made at 3 cm above the submucosal lesion, and a submucosal longitudinal tunnel was created until the submucosal lesion revealed using a DualKnife (Olympus, Japan). Meticulous resection was performed with the DualKnife, and the lateral border of the lesion was dissected from muscularis propria layer. It was completely removed the lesion with en bolc resection, and dissected the septum of the diverticulum using the DualKnife. The tunnel access was closed with several hemoclips. Finally, it has been demonstrated to achieve a perfect outcome for the patient. The patient was discharged three days later with symptom resolved on follow-up and to date.

RESUMEN

Through the formation of covalent connections with hyaluronic acid (HA), the inter-α-trypsin inhibitor (IαI) family collaborates to preserve the stability of the extracellular matrix (ECM). The five distinct homologous heavy chains (ITIH) and one type of light chain make up the IαI family. ITIH alone or in combination with bikunin (BK) has been proven to have important impacts in a number of earlier investigations. This implies that BK and ITIH might be crucial to both physiological and pathological processes. The functions of BK and ITIH in various pathophysiological processes are discussed independently in this paper. In the meanwhile, this study offers suggestions for further research on the roles of BK and ITIH in the course of disease and summarizes the plausible mechanisms of the previous studies.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) typically present with a complex anatomical distribution, often accompanied by insidious symptoms. This combination contributes to its high incidence and poor prognosis. It is now understood that the immune features of cellular components within the tumor ecosystem and their complex interactions are critical factors influencing both tumor progression and the effective immune response. METHODS: We obtained single-cell RNA sequencing data of 26,496 cells from three tumor tissues and five normal tissues and performed subsequent analyses. Immunohistochemical staining on tumor sections was used to validate the presence of malignant cells. Additionally, we included bulk RNA sequencing data from 502 HNSCC patients. Kaplan-Meier analysis and the log-rank test were employed to assess predictors of patient outcomes. RESULTS: We identified three epithelial subclusters exhibiting immune-related features. These subclusters promoted the infiltration of T cells, dendritic cells, and monocytes into the tumor microenvironment. Additionally, cancer-associated fibroblasts displayed tumor-promoting and angiogenesis characteristics, contrasting with the predominant antigen-presenting and inflammatory roles observed in fibroblasts from normal tissues. Furthermore, tumor endothelial subsets exhibited a double-sided effect, promoting tumor progression and enhancing the effectiveness of immune response. Finally, follicular helper T cells and T helper 17 cells were found to be significantly correlated with improved outcomes in HNSCC patients. These CD4+ T cell subpopulations could promote the anti-tumor immune response by recruiting and activating B and T cells. CONCLUSION: Our findings provide deeper insights into the immune features of the tumor ecosystem and reveal the prognostic significance of follicular helper T cells and T helper 17 cells. These findings may pave the way for the development of therapeutic approaches.

RESUMEN

In this study, a γPFD-SpyCatcher hydrogel scaffold with the capacity for spontaneous assembly was established. With a maximum loading capacity of a 1:1 molar ratio with SpyTag-enzymes, the immobilized proteins can not only rapidly provide pure enzymes but also exhibit improved thermal and pH stability. The results of the transmission electron microscopic analysis and the traits they present indicated that SpyCatcher promotes the aggregation of γPFD and the formation of hydrogels. In the cell-free pyruvate synthesis system, the γPFD-SpyCatcher coimmobilized SpyTag-hexokinase (HK), SpyTag-phosphofructokinase (PFK) and SpyTag-pyruvate kinase (PK) were employed, and the production of pyruvate increased by 43, 78 and 47% respectively. In in vitro experiments, the oxidative deamination activity of glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) coimmobilized with γPFD-SpyCatcher was 38% higher than that of purified enzymes. These findings indicate that the γPFD-SpyCatcher-based hydrogels play an important role in breaking the barrier of regulatory enzymes and will provide more strategies for the development of synthetic biology.

RESUMEN

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a prevalent clinical condition, is often attributed to aberrant esophageal motility, leading to gastric content reflux and associated symptoms or complications. The rising incidence of GERD presents an escalating healthcare challenge. Endoscopic and esophageal reflux monitoring can provide a basis for the diagnosis of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, but when the diagnostic basis is at an inconclusive value, some additional supportive evidence will be needed. Advanced technology is the key to improving patient diagnosis, accurate assessment, and the development of effective treatment strategies. High-resolution esophageal manometry (HREM) and endoscopic functional lumen imaging probe (EndoFLIP) represent the forefront of esophageal motility assessment. HREM, an evolution of traditional esophageal manometry, is considered the benchmark for identifying esophageal motility disorders. Its widespread application in esophageal dynamics research highlights its diagnostic significance. Concurrently, EndoFLIP's emerging clinical relevance is evident in diagnosing and guiding the treatment of coexisting esophageal motility issues. This review integrates contemporary research to delineate the contributions of HREM, EndoFLIP, and novel technologies in GERD. It examines their efficacy in facilitating an accurate diagnosis, differentiating similar gastrointestinal disorders, quantifying the extent of reflux, assessing the severity of the disease, forecasting patient responsiveness to proton pump inhibitor therapy, and guiding decisions for surgical interventions. The overarching aim is to deepen the understanding of GERD's underlying mechanisms and advance the formulation of holistic, efficacious treatment approaches.

RESUMEN

Although organic-inorganic hybrid Mn2+ halides have advanced significantly, achieving high stability and narrow-band emission remains enormously challenging owing to the weak ionic nature and soft crystal lattice of the halide structure. To address these issues, we proposed a cationic engineering strategy of long-range cation π···π stacking and C-H···π interactions to simultaneously improve the crystal structural stability and rigidity. Herein, two organic zero-dimensional (0D) manganese halide hybrids of (BACQ)2MnX4 [BACQ = 4-(butylamino)-7-chloroquinolin-1-ium; X = Cl and Br] were synthesized. (BACQ)2MnX4 display strong green-light emissions with the narrowest full width at half-maximum (fwhm) of 39 nm, which is significantly smaller than those of commercial green phosphor ß-SiAlON:Eu2+ and most of reported manganese halides. Detailed Hirshfeld surface analyses demonstrate the rigid environment around the [MnX4]2- units originating from the interactions between [BACQ]+. The rigid crystal structure weakens the electron-phonon coupling and renders narrow fwhm of these manganese halides, which is further confirmed by temperature-dependent emission spectra. Remarkably, (BACQ)2MnX4 realizes outstanding structural and luminescence stabilities in various extreme environments. Benefiting from the excellent performance, these Mn2+ halides are used to assemble light-emitting diodes with a wide color gamut of 105% of the National Television System Committee 1931 standard, showcasing the advanced applications in liquid-crystal-display backlighting.
