RESUMEN

Phosphorus is a critical factor in the control of eutrophication. We developed a three-dimensional porous, bimetallic-modified adsorbent La-Ca-CS/ATP to remove excess phosphate from water. Langmuir model showed that the theoretical adsorption capacity of La-Ca-CS/ATP was up to 123 mg P/g. The amount of La and Ca leached by La-Ca-CS/ATP was small, and the adsorption of 36.08 mg P/g was maintained during the five cycles of La-Ca-CS/ATP. The La-Ca-CS/ATP adsorption mechanism mainly involved surface precipitation, ligand exchange, electrostatic attraction, and inner-sphere complexation. Molecular dynamics demonstrated that La and Ca had complementary effects on binding sites and energy barriers within the range of 0.5-0.7 nm and 1.2-2 nm, enhancing the adsorption effect of La-Ca-CS/ATP. The life cycle assessment results showed that adding calcium could help reduce the environmental impact of lanthanum and chitosan. The production of La-Ca-CS/ATP adsorbed 73.88 P mg/g and emitted 24.73 kg CO2 eq, which was less than other adsorbents.

Chlorpyrifos (CPF), a widely used organophosphorus pesticide (OP) to control pests has been verified reproductive toxicity on mammalian oocytes. However, limited information exists on its correlation with the dysfunction of the intercellular communication in cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs). Herein, our study utilized porcine COCs as models to directly address the latent impact of CPF on the communication between cumulus cells (CCs) and oocytes during in vitro maturation. The results demonstrated that CPF exposure decreased the rate of the first polar body (PB1) extrusion and blocked meiosis progression. Notably, the cumulus expansion of CPF-exposed COCs was suppressed significantly, accompanied by the down-regulated mRNA levels of cumulus expansion-related genes. Furthermore, the early apoptotic level was raised and the expression of BAX/BCL2 and cleaved caspase 3 was up-regulated in the CCs of CPF-exposed COCs (p < 0.05). Moreover, CPF exposure impaired mRNA levels of antioxidant enzyme-related genes, induced higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduced the levels of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) in CCs (p < 0.05). Additionally, the integrated optical density (IOD) rate (cumulus/oocyte) of calcein and the expression of connexin 43 (CX43) was increased in CPF treatment groups (p < 0.05). As well, CPF exposure reduced the expression levels of FSCN1, DAAM1 and MYO10, which resulted in a significant decrease in the number and fluorescence intensity of transzonal projections (TZPs). In conclusion, CPF inhibited the expansion of cumulus and caused oxidative stress and apoptosis as well as disturbed the function of gap junctions (GJs) and TZPs, which eventually resulted in the failure of oocyte maturation.

Alexithymia is characterized by difficulties in emotional information processing. However, the underlying reasons for emotional processing deficits in alexithymia are not fully understood. The present study aimed to investigate the mechanism underlying emotional deficits in alexithymia. Using the Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20, we recruited college students with high alexithymia (n = 24) or low alexithymia (n = 24) in this study. Participants judged the emotional consistency of facial expressions and contextual sentences while recording their event-related potentials. Behaviorally, the high alexithymia group showed longer response times versus the low alexithymia group in processing facial expressions. The event-related potential results showed that the high alexithymia group had more negative-going N400 amplitudes compared with the low alexithymia group in the incongruent condition. More negative N400 amplitudes are also associated with slower responses to facial expressions. Furthermore, machine learning analyses based on N400 amplitudes could distinguish the high alexithymia group from the low alexithymia group in the incongruent condition. Overall, these findings suggest worse facial emotion perception for the high alexithymia group, potentially due to difficulty in spontaneously activating emotion concepts. Our findings have important implications for the affective science and clinical intervention of alexithymia-related affective disorders.

PURPOSE: It has become evident that patients with epilepsy require strong self-efficacy support in various domains, including work, social interaction, and academic performance, to ensure their complete social functioning. Nevertheless, previous studies have predominantly assessed the self-efficacy of individuals with epilepsy from a singular perspective of disease management. This study aimed to develop the Multidimensional Self-Efficacy Scale for Epilepsy (MSESE) to assess multiple dimensions and establish its psychometric properties. METHODS: We compiled a total of 25 questions for the initial version of the questionnaire based on a review of the literature and insights from experts, patients, and family members. The study included 180 adult patients with epilepsy who met the research criteria, with 126 of them serving as pre-test samples. All participants completed the MSESE, Brief Symptom Rating Scale-50 (BSRS-50), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale-Chinese version (RSES-C), and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). RESULTS: The final scale consisted of 12 items across four dimensions, with item factor loadings ranging from .51 to .90. Most of the fit indices indicated a good fit. Construct validity was established through significant correlations with the BSRS-50, RSES-C, and GSES (r = -0.51 to 0.69, p < 0.01). Internal consistency coefficients for the MSESE were strong at .90, with individual dimensions ranging from 0.71 to 0.89. The MSESE also demonstrated a satisfactory test-retest reliability of 0.72. CONCLUSIONS: The MSESE is a convenient, multidimensional, and easy-to-use scale with good psychometric properties, making it suitable for both clinical assessments and research purposes.

P21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1) is a critical downstream target that mediates the effect of small Rho GTPase on the regulation of cytoskeletal kinetics, cell proliferation, and cell migration. PAK1 has been identified as a crucial regulator of spindle assembly during the first meiotic division; however, its roles during the metaphase I (MI) to metaphase II (MII) transition in oocytes remain unclear. In the present study, the potential function of PAK1 in regulating microtubule organization and spindle positioning during the MI-MII transition was addressed in porcine oocytes. The results showed that activated PAK1 was co-localized with α-tubulin, and its expression was increased from the MI to MII stage (p < 0.001). However, inhibiting PAK1 activity with an inhibitor targeting PAK1 activation-3 (IPA-3) at the MI stage decreased the first polar body (PB1) extrusion rate (p < 0.05), with most oocytes arrested at the anaphase-telophase (ATI) stage. IPA-3-treated oocytes displayed a decrease in actin distribution in the plasma membrane (p < 0.001) and an increase in the rate of defects in MII spindle reassembly with abnormal spindle positioning (p < 0.001). Nevertheless, these adverse effects of IPA-3 on oocytes were reversed when the disulfide bond between PAK1 and IPA-3 was reduced by dithiothreitol (DTT). Co-immunoprecipitation revealed that PAK1 could recruit activated Aurora A and transform acidic coiled-coil 3 (TACC3) to regulate spindle assembly and interact with LIM kinase 1 (LIMK1) to facilitate actin filament-mediated spindle migration. Together, PAK1 is essential for microtubule organization and spindle migration during the MI-MII transition in porcine oocytes, which is associated with the activity of p-Aurora A, p-TACC3 and p-LIMK1.

Transforming growth factor-ß-activated kinase 1 (TAK1) positively regulates oxidative stress and inflammation in different diseases. Takinib, a novel and specific TAK1 inhibitor, has beneficial effects in a variety of disorders. However, the effects of takinib on early brain injury (EBI) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unknown. Our study showed that takinib administration significantly inhibited phosphorylated TAK1 expression after SAH. In addition, takinib suppressed M1 microglial polarization and promoted M2 microglial polarization. Furthermore, blockade of TAK1 by takinib reduced neuroinflammation, oxidative damage, brain edema, and neuronal apoptosis, and improved neurological behavior after SAH. Mechanistically, we revealed that TAK1 inhibition by takinib mitigated reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and ROS-mediated nod-like receptor pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome activation. In contrast, NLRP3 activation by nigericin abated the neuroprotective effects of takinib against EBI after SAH. In general, our study demonstrated that takinib could protect against EBI by targeting TAK1-ROS-NLRP3 inflammasome signaling. Inhibition of TAK1 might be a promising option in the management of SAH.

Objective: To explore the development context, research hotspots and frontiers in the glymphatic system (GS) field from 2012 to 2022 by bibliometric analysis. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database was searched for articles published between 2012 and 2022. Microsoft Excel was used to manage the data. VOSviewer, CiteSpace, GraphPad Prism, the Web of Science, and an online analysis platform for bibliometrics (http://bibliometric.com/) were used to analyze the countries, institutions, journals, and collaboration networks among authors and the types of articles, developmental directions, references, and top keywords of published articles. Results: A total of 412 articles were retrieved, including 39 countries/regions, 223 research institutes and 171 academic journals. The subject classifications related to the GS were Neuroscience, Clinical Neuroscience and Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Medical Imaging. The United States has maintained its dominant and most influential position in GS research. Among research institutions and journals, the Univ Rochester and Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism had the highest number of academic articles, respectively. Nedergaard M had the most published article, and Iliff JJ had the most co-citations. The top two keywords with the highest frequency were "glymphatic system" and "cerebrospinal fluid." Conclusion: This research provides valuable information for the study of the GS. The bibliometric analysis of this area will encourage potential collaborations among researchers, defining its frontiers and directions for development.

The method is mild and efficient, which invokes a self-sustained nickel catalytic cycle without an external reductant, light irradiation, or electricity.

Objective: The present study investigated the impact of emotion concepts obtained from external environmental experiences on the perception of facial expressions by manipulating the activation and satiation of emotion words, which was based on the argument between basic emotion theory and constructed emotion theory. Methods: Experiment 1 explored the effects of emotion activation on happy, disgusted, emotion-label words and emotion-laden words in a facial expression judgment task through behavioral experimentation. Experiment 2 explored the effect of semantic satiation on emotion-label words and emotion-laden words using the event-related potential technique. Results: Experiment 1 found that facial expression perception was influenced by both types of emotion words and showed a significant emotional consistency effect. Experiment 2 found that N170 exhibited a more negative amplitude in the consistent condition compared to the inconsistent condition in the right hemisphere. More importantly, in the later stage of facial expression processing, emotion-label words and emotion-laden words both obstructed the perception of disgusted facial expressions and elicited more negative N400 amplitude in the emotion consistency condition, showing a reversed N400 effect. Conclusion: These results suggested that emotion concepts in the form of language influenced the perception of facial expressions, but there were differences between happy and disgusted faces. Disgusted faces were more dependent on emotion concept information and showed different performances in semantic activation and satiation conditions.

Vegetation restoration has become a common practice in karst rocky desertification (KRD) areas of southwestern China. The bacteria, which have made a connection between soil and plants, have been an important role in regulating the succession and restoration of karst vegetation. However, it is still unclear how soil bacterial communities and soil properties respond to natural vegetation restoration processes in karst areas. To address this gap, we investigated the soil nutrients, enzyme activity, and soil bacterial community among various plant communities, including farmland (FL), land with herbs only (SSI), herb-and-shrub land (SSII), woody thickets (SSIII), coniferous forest (SSIV), coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest (SSV), and evergreen broad-leaved forest (SSVI). Our results found that SSII had the highest levels of soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, available nitrogen, sucrase, and ß-glucosidase among all the plant communities. These results indicated that herb-and-shrub land have contributed to the rapid restoration of vegetation in KRD regions. FL exhibited the lowest levels of soil nutrients and enzyme activities, while showing the highest bacterial richness and diversity among all the plant communities. This suggested that appropriate human intervention can increase bacterial diversity and richness in the area. The predominant bacterial phylum also varied among the different plant communities, with Actinobacteria being the most abundant in SSI, SSII, SSIII, and SSIV, while Proteobacteria were the most abundant in SSV and SSVI. Furthermore, PCoA analysis demonstrated significant changes in the soil bacterial community structure, with SSI, SSII, SSIII, and SSIV had shared similar structures, while SSV and SSVI had comparable structures. As for soil characteristics, total phosphorus (TP) and total potassium (TK) were the primary factors affecting the soil bacterial community. SSV and SSVI had the most complex bacterial networks and were more stable than other groups. The genera Ktedonobacter, norank_f_Anaerolineaceae, and Vicinamibacter had the highest betweenness centrality scores and were identified as keystone genera in the co-occurrence network in KRD areas. In summary, our results have demonstrated that herb-and-shrub can promote community succession and increase soil nutrient levels in KRD regions.

P21-activated kinase 1 (PAK1), as a member of the PAK family, has been implicated in various functions during somatic mitosis; however, less is known about its role during oocyte meiosis. Herein, we highlight the indispensable role of PAK1 in regulating spindle assembly and cell cycle progression during the first meiotic division of porcine oocytes. First, we found that the activated PAK1 expressed dynamically, and its subcellular localization was tightly associated with the spindle dynamics during meiosis in porcine oocytes. Specific inhibition of PAK1 activity by inhibitor targeting PAK1 activation-3 (IPA-3) led to impaired extrusion of the first polar body (PB1); with most of the IPA-3-treated oocytes arrested at germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) and subjected to failure of bipolar spindle formation. However, the adverse effects caused by IPA-3 on oocytes could be restored by reducing disulfide bonds between PAK1 and IPA-3 with dithiothreitol (DTT) treatment. Furthermore, the co-immunoprecipitation assay revealed that PAK1 interacted directly with Aurora A and transforming acidic coiled coil 3 (TACC3), providing an additional explanation for the similar localization of Aurora A and activated PAK1. Additionally, inhibiting the activity of PAK1 decreased the expression of p-Aurora A and p-TACC3; however, the reduced activity of Aurora A and TACC3 could be restored by DTT. In conclusion, PAK1 plays a crucial role in the proper assembly of the spindle during the first meiotic division of porcine oocytes, and the regulation of PAK1 is associated with its effects on p-Aurora A and p-TACC3 expression.

With the advancement of urbanization and the expansion of urban areas, NIMBY (not in my back yard) environmental public facilities are increasing day by day. It is meaningful to incorporate public participation into the regulatory process for the existing pollution NIMBY facility enterprises. Through the establishment of the tripartite game model of local government, polluting NIMBY facility enterprises and the public, the evolution stability analysis and simulation analysis of their strategies are carried out, and the Pareto optimal solution is obtained. The results show that: The strategy choices of the players of the three-party game are different under different stability conditions. The system can be broken out of the bad state by increasing government punishment, local governments strictly controlling the potential profits, the potential losses of polluting enterprises not rebuilding, the long-term public benefits and reducing the cost of public participation, etc., and the three-party common governance mode can be formed. The strategy evolution speed of a player in a three-party game is affected by his own strategy choice proportion and the strategy choice proportion of the other two players, but no matter how the strategy choice proportion of the player in a three-party game changes, it will not change the final game result. On the basis of comprehensive analysis, a series of relevant suggestions are put forward from the three aspects of government, enterprises and the public, so as to provide certain reference for the design of the public participation system of polluting NIMBY facilities.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different selenium (Se) sources on the immune responses and gut microbiota of laying hens challenged with Salmonella enteritidis (S. Enteritidis). A total of 240 45-week-old layers were randomly divided into eight groups with six replicates per group according to a 4 × 2 factorial design, including a blank diet without Se supplementation (CON group) and three diets with 0.3 mg/kg Se supplementation from sodium selenite (IS group), yeast Se (YS group), and selenium-enriched yeast culture (SYC group), respectively. After 8 weeks of feeding, half of them were orally challenged with 1.0 ml suspension of 109 colony-forming units per milliliter of S. Enteritidis daily for 3 days. The serum was collected on days 3, 7, and 14, and the cecum content was collected on day 14 after challenge. There was no significant difference in laying performance among the eight groups before challenge. The S. Enteritidis challenge significantly decreased the laying performance, egg quality, GSH-Px, IgG, and IgM and increased the ratio of feed and egg, malondialdehyde (MDA), Salmonella-specific antibody (SA) titers, IL-6, IL-2, IL-1ß, and INF-γ. However, SYC increased the level of GSH-Px and IgG and decreased IL-6, while YS decreased the level of IL-2 and IL-1ß. What is more, Se supplementation decreased the SA titers to varying degrees and reduced the inflammatory cell infiltration in the lamina propria caused by S. Enteritidis infection. In addition, the S. Enteritidis challenge disrupted the intestinal flora balance by reducing the abundance of the genera Clostridium innocuum, Lachnospiraceae, and Bifidobacterium and increasing the genera Butyricimonas and Brachyspira, while Se supplementation increased the gut microbial alpha diversity whether challenged or not. Under the S. Enteritidis challenge condition, the alteration of microbial composition by the administration of different Se sources mainly manifested as IS increased the relative abundance of the genera Lachnospiraceae and Christensenellaceae, YS increased the relative abundance of the genera Megamonas and Sphingomonas, and SYC increased the genera Fusobacterium and Lactococcus. The alteration of gut microbial composition had a close relationship with antioxidant or immune response. To summarize, different Se sources can improve the egg quality of layers challenged by S. Enteritidis that involves elevating the immunity level and regulating the intestinal microbiota.

The early stages of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) are extremely important for the progression and prognosis of this disease. The glymphatic system (GS) has positive implications for the nervous system due to its ability to clearance tau and amyloid-ß (Aß) protein. Previous studies have shown that GS dysfunction will appear after SAH. However, there is no systematic evaluation of the degree of damage and development process of GS function in the early stage after SAH. In this study, we evaluated the GS function and neurobehavioral in the sham, 6 h, 1, 3, and 7 days after SAH, respectively. Our results showed that the function of GS was severely attenuated in mice after SAH with a decreased polarity of Aquaporin-4 (AQP4), increased expression of AQP4, a linear correlation with the dystrophin-associated complex (DAC), the proliferation of reactive astrocytes, increased tau protein accumulation, and decreased neurological function. Collectively, these findings provide a comprehensive understanding of the functional changes of GS after SAH, provide references for subsequent scholars studying SAH, and suggest some potential mechanistic insight that affects AQP4 polarity and GS function.

In recent years, NIMBY(Not In My Backyard) conflicts gradually become hot and difficult in the international community governance, people have realized that the government and people on both sides of the emotional factors have great influences on the results of the conflicts, especially to study the effects of emotion on the evolution of conflicts in China, this article from the following several aspects. First of all, a game model under the influences of emotion is constructed by using Range Dependent Expected Utility(RDEU) theory and emotional function. Secondly, the Jacobian matrix is utilized to analyze the stability of the equilibrium point for the model constructed above. Next, numerical simulation is used to analyze the evolution trend of discrete emotions. The evolutionary results show that when one party holds an optimistic mood, equilibrium evolves to a relatively optimal state; while when one party holds a pessimistic mood, the more pessimistic the party is, the more likely it is to cause NIMBY conflicts. Compared with the people's sentiments, the government's moods have a greater impact on the evolutionary consequences. Finally, depending on the conclusions of the evolutionary analysis, some suggestions on the governance of NIMBY conflicts are put forward.

Ubiquitin-specific protease 22 (USP22), a potential marker of cancer stem cells, significantly influences stem cell fate choices. However, its functions in neural stem cells (NSCs) and adult neurogenesis, especially following traumatic brain injury (TBI), remain only partially understood. Here, we found that aberrant USP22 expression could affect NSC proliferation and stemness maintenance, as assessed by the generation of neurospheres, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and immunofluorescence staining in vitro. Moreover, USP22 depletion promotes the differentiation of NSCs, both in vitro and in vivo. In contrast, USP22 overexpression inhibits NSC differentiation into neurons. Interestingly, our data showed that USP22 promotes the proliferation but inhibits the differentiation of NSCs in the dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus soon after TBI. The Morris water maze (MWM) test was adopted to evaluate neurological function, which confirmed that USP22 could improve the learning and memory capacity that was already compromised following TBI. Overall, this study uncovers a potentially novel regulatory role of USP22 in the proliferation and differentiation ability of NSCs, contributing to the hippocampus-dependent cognitive function of TBI mice and may be a novel target for future therapeutic approaches.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of different selenium (Se) sources on the laying performance, egg quality, antioxidant, and immune responses of laying hens under different temperatures. In an 8-week experiment, a total of 480 44-week-old laying hens were randomly divided into 8 groups, with 6 replicates for each group and 10 hens per replicate, and fed with a basal diet (BK), basal diet with 0.3 mg/kg of Se from sodium selenite (SS), from Se yeast (SY), or from selenium-enriched yeast culture (SYC) under normal temperature (NT, 26 ± 2 °C) and cyclic high temperature (CHT, 26 ± 2 °C~33 ± 2 °C). CHT decreased the laying performance and serum levels of Se, immunoglobulin G (IgG), and interleukin-10 (IL-10), and significantly increased the serum free triiodothyronine (FT3), deiodinase-I (DI-I), and heat stress protein (HSPs) (p < 0.05). In addition, SYC increased the egg yolk color, and SS increased serum IgG level. SS, SY, and SYC reduced the level of interleukin-6 (IL-6) (p < 0.05). In conclusion, Se can increase egg yolk color, antioxidant capacity, and immune capacity under heat stress, and the effect of organic Se is better than that of inorganic Se.

OBJECTIVE: The current study asked whether BQ dependence level could affect working memory (WM) and remote memory for the chewers with concurrent use of cigarettes and alcohol, a common phenomenon in Taiwan. METHODS: The standardized neuropsychological tests (Wechsler Memory Scale III (WMS-III) and Remote Memory Test) were adopted to address the BQ chewers' verbal WM, spatial WM and remote memory. The Spatial Span Test and the Digit Span Test from WMS-III and the Remote Memory Test were adopted. The Betel Nut Dependency Scale (BNDS), the Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND), and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) were adopted to measure the dependence levels. RESULTS: The BQ dependence level and Last BQ did not affect spatial WM, verbal WM, and remote memory. Last Cigarette is critical in affecting WM; namely, longer interval led to worse performance. Finally, higher alcohol dependence level could lead to better remote memory. CONCLUSIONS: To our knowledge, there are no BQ studies addressing the effects of concurrent use of cigarettes and alcohol on memory. The current results suggest that cigarette smoking and alcohol drinking, rather than BQ chewing, are critical for memory performance.

The glymphatic system (GS) plays an important role in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Nimodipine treatment provides SAH patients with short-term neurological benefits. However, no trials have been conducted to quantify the relationship between nimodipine and GS. We hypothesized that nimodipine could attenuate early brain injury (EBI) after SAH by affecting the function of the GS. In this study, we assessed the effects of nimodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonist, on mice 3 days after SAH. The functions of GS were assessed by immunofluorescence and western blot. The effects of nimodipine were assessed behaviorally. Concurrently, correlation analysis was performed for the functions of GS, immunofluorescence and behavioral function. Our results indicated that nimodipine improved GS function and attenuated neurological deficits and brain edema in mice with SAH. Activation of the cAMP/PKA pathway was involved in this process. GS function was closely associated with perivascular AQP4 polarization, cortical GFAP/AQP4 expression, brain edema and neurobehavioral function. In conclusion, this study shows for the first time that nimodipine plays a neuroprotective role in the period of EBI after SAH in mice through the GS.

PURPOSE: No studies have examined the relationship between the intensity of facial emotion expression and theory of mind (ToM) ability in people with epilepsy. This study aimed to explore facial emotion recognition in a group of patients with frontal (FLE) or temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and its relationship with the intensities of perceived facial emotion expressions, ToM, and social functioning. METHODS: Twenty-six patients with FLE or TLE and 30 matched controls were included in the study. All participants completed the facial emotion recognition test, Faux Pas Recognition (FPR) test measuring advanced ToM, Symptom Checklist-90-Revised, Social and Occupational Functioning Scale for Epilepsy (SOFSE), and background neuropsychological tests. RESULTS: The patient group was significantly worse than the control group in recognizing facial expressions of negative emotions, particularly for medium-intensity facial expression of fear. There was no significant difference between the groups in recognizing high-intensity fear facial expressions. The scores of FPR (overall and affective ToMs) in the patient group were significantly lower than those in the control group. Additionally, the facial emotion recognition was significantly associated with the total score of FPR, and the FPR total score remarkably correlated with the Communication subscale score of the SOFSE. CONCLUSIONS: Patients with FLE or TLE had impaired ability to recognize medium-intensity facial expressions of fear. Moreover, patients' ToM deficit significantly correlated not only with their emotion recognition problem but also with their social-communicative competence. Nevertheless, we also found that increasing the intensity of expression can improve the accuracy of emotion recognition in patients with epilepsy. These findings may provide considerations for further longitudinal studies and interventions on the social difficulties of people with epilepsy.
