RESUMEN

Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS/PANI, a novel hybrid bio-composite scaffold with potential application in dental tissue engineering, was prepared by freeze drying technique. The scaffold was characterized using FT-IR and SEM methods. The effects of PANI on the physicochemical properties of the Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS scaffold were investigated, including changes in swelling ratio, mechanical behavior, density, porosity, biodegradation, and biomineralization. Compared to the Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS scaffold, adding PANI decreased the pore size, porosity, swelling ratio, and biodegradation, while increasing the mechanical strength and biomineralization. Cell viability, cytotoxicity, and adhesion of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) on the scaffolds were investigated by MTT assay and SEM. The Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS/PANI scaffold promoted hDPSC proliferation and osteogenic differentiation compared to the Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS scaffold. Alizarin red staining, alkaline phosphatase activity, and qRT-PCR results revealed that Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS/PANI triggered osteoblast/odontoblast differentiation in hDPSCs through the up-regulation of osteogenic marker genes BGLAP, RUNX2, and SPARC. The significance of this study lies in developing a novel scaffold that synergistically combines the beneficial properties of Fe-Ca-SAPO-34, chitosan, and PANI to create an optimized microenvironment for dental tissue regeneration. These findings highlight the potential of the Fe-Ca-SAPO-34/CS/PANI scaffold as a promising biomaterial for dental tissue engineering applications, paving the way for future research and clinical translation in regenerative dentistry.

RESUMEN

A study has been conducted to investigate the formation of intermediate phases during the crystallization of SAPO-11 molecular sieves from reaction mixtures with a varying template (di-n-propylamine) DPA/Al2O3 ratio. It was found that changing the DPA/Al2O3 ratio from 1.0 to 1.8 in the initial reaction gels leads to the formation of different intermediate phases during crystallization into a SAPO-11 molecular sieve. It is shown that at the ratio template/Al2O3 = 1.0, an intermediate amorphous silicoaluminophosphate is formed; at 1.4, a mixture consisting of amorphous and layered phases forms; and at 1.8, a layered phase is present. A simple and innovative approach for controlling the morphology, size, and characteristics of primary crystals and the secondary porous structure in hierarchical SAPO-11 is proposed. The method is based on regulating the DPA/Al2O3 ratio in the reaction gel. The synthesized SAPO-11 molecular sieves with a hierarchical porous structure exhibited high selectivity in the hydroisomerization of n-hexadecane.

RESUMEN

Cu-exchanged low-silica CHA zeolites (Si/Al≤4) synthesized without organic templates are promising candidate catalysts for ammonia selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides (NH3 -SCR), but their practical application is restricted due to the low hydrothermal stability. Here, inspired by the transcription from duplex DNA to RNA, we synthesized Al pairs enriched low-silica CHA zeolite (CHA-SPAEI, Si/Al=3.7) by using silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO) featured by strict alternation of -Al-O-P(Si)-O-Al-O- tetrahedra as seed. The proportion of Al pairs in CHA-SPAEI is 78 %, which is much higher than that in the conventional low-silica CHA (CHA-LS, 52 %). After hydrothermal ageing at 800 °C for 6 h, Cu-exchanged CHA-SPAEI shows NO conversion above 90 % within 225-500 °C under a gas hourly space velocity of 200,000 h-1 , which is much better than that of Cu-exchanged CHA-LS. The spatial close proximity of Al pairs in CHA-SPAEI is confirmed by the 27 Al double-quantum single-quantum two-dimensional NMR analyses. The strict -P(Si)-O-Al-O-P(Si)-O- sequence in the fragments from the dissolution of SAPO seed promotes the Al pairs with the -Al-O-Si-O-Al-O- sequence via a transcription process. The utilization of aluminophosphate-based zeolites as seeds opens up a new avenue for the regulation of the Al distribution in zeolites.

RESUMEN

In this article, we report the results of research the formation of silicoaluminophosphate gels under changing gel aging conditions and the influence of an aluminum source (boehmite), characterized by different properties. The samples of initial gels were characterized by XRF, X-ray diffraction, MAS NMR 27Al and 31P, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Products of crystallization were characterized by XRF, X-ray diffraction, MAS NMR 27Al and 31P, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), N2-physical adsorption, and IR spectroscopy with pyridine adsorption. It has been established that the chemical and phase composition of aging gels and the products of further crystallization is conditioned by the size of the crystals and the porous structure of boehmite. Methods of management the morphology and secondary porous structure of SAPO-11, including the hierarchical porous structure, are proposed based on the use of boehmits characterized by different properties and changing the aging conditions of the initial gels. SAPO-based catalyst with a hierarchical porous structure showed excellent catalytic performance in dimerization of α-methylstyrene with a high degree of conversion and selectivity for linear isomers.

RESUMEN

The formation of silicoaluminophosphate gels using boehmite, Al isopropoxide, and di-n-propylamine as a template of silicoaluminophosphate gels as well as their subsequent crystallization into SAPO-11 molecular sieves was studied in detail using X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and N2 adsorption-desorption methods. The effect of the chemical and phase composition of silicoaluminophosphate gels on the physicochemical properties of SAPO-11 molecular sieves was shown. The secondary structural units that the AEL lattice is composed of were found to be formed at the initial stage of preparation involving aluminum isopropoxide. Several approaches to control their morphology and secondary porous structure are also proposed.

RESUMEN

Green Zn-based spinel sorbents for hot coal gas desulfurization have been developed with the assistance of optimization procedures. The pilot study highlights an outstanding ordered mesoporous support (SBET = 323 m2 g-1, Da = 4.3 nm) of SAPO-34@as-prepared SBA-15 (SS) for loading active metal oxides. ZnCo2O4 spinel loaded onto SS (ZnCo2/SS) exhibits a prominent desulfurization performance compared to other sorbents whose partial Co is substituted by Mn or Fe in spinel B-site, owing to the slight effect of PO43- in SS. After systematic evaluation on role of sulfidation condition, 50 wt% ZnCo2/SS sorbent possesses the sulfur storage capacity of 138.08  mg g-1at550 °C and little loss of active species in 5 desulfurization-regeneration cycles. Results of high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) etc. demonstrate that 70.42% of initial sulfur capacity of ZnCo2/SS presented in the 2nd utilization is associated with zinc evaporation, existence of high stable sulfides and partial sintering. The improved deactivation kinetic model suitably describes that the H2S concentration distribution relates with the spatial position of fixed-bed reactor and desulfurization time.

RESUMEN

Nitrogen oxides (NOx: NO, NO2) are a concern due to their adverse health effects. Diesel engine transport sector is the major emitter of NOx. The regulations have been strengthened and to comply with them, one of the two methods commonly used is the selective catalytic reduction of NOx by NH3 (NH3-SCR), NH3 being supplied by the in-situ hydrolysis of urea. Efficiency and durability of the catalyst for this process are highly required. Durability is evaluated by hydrothermal treatment of the catalysts at temperature above 800°C. In this study, very active catalysts for the NH3-SCR of NOx were prepared by using a silicoaluminophosphate commercial zeolite as copper host structure. Characterizations by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and temperature programmed desorption of ammonia (NH3-TPD) showed that this commercial zeolite was hydrothermally stable up to 850°C and, was able to retain some structural properties up to 950°C. After hydrothermal treatment at 850°C, the NOx reduction efficiency into NH3-SCR depends on the copper content. The catalyst with a copper content of 1.25wt.% was the most active. The difference in activity was much more important when using NO than the fast NO/NO2 reaction mixture.
