PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of a novel total meniscal implant in promoting meniscal regeneration and protecting articular cartilage in a rabbit model for 3 and 6 months. METHODS: Thirty-six New Zealand rabbits were selected and divided into poly(ɛ-caprolactone) (PG-Pg) scaffold group, meniscectomy group and sham group. In this study, it was investigated whether PG-Pg scaffold can prevent articular cartilage degeneration and promote tissue degeneration, and its mechanical properties at 3 and 6 months after surgery were also explored. RESULT: The degree of articular cartilage degeneration was significantly lower in the PG-Pg scaffold group than in the meniscectomy group. The number of chondrocytes increased in the PG-Pg scaffold at 3 and 6 months, while a gradual increase in the mechanical properties of the PG-Pg stent was observed from 6 months. CONCLUSION: The PG-Pg scaffold slows down the degeneration of articular cartilage, promotes tissue regeneration and improves biomechanical properties after meniscectomy. This novel meniscus scaffold holds promise for enhancing surgical strategies and delivering superior long-term results for individuals with severe meniscus tears. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: NA.

BACKGROUND: To explore the relationship between changes in salivary cytokine levels and the occurrence of white spot lesions in adolescents receiving clear aligner orthodontic treatment and investigate the predictive value of various factors for lesion occurrence. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed sixthy eight adolescent in the permanent dentition period, who received clear aligner orthodontics in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups according to the occurrence or aggravation of white spot lesions after treatment. The general condition of the oral cavity was analyzed, saliva was collected, and inflammation-related cytokines with varying transcription levels between groups were screened by transcriptome analysis. The expression levels of inflammatory cytokines in the saliva of the patients in the two groups were measured, and the risk factors for white spot lesions were screened by correlation analysis and binary logistic regression analysis. The value of the independent and combined application of risk factors for predicting the occurrence of white spot lesions in adolescent patients after invisible orthodontic treatment was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. RESULTS: Transcriptome and GO and KEGG pathway analyses showed that there were differences in the transcription levels of inflammatory cytokines such as CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL8, CCL3, CCL4, IL-1ß and IL-2 between groups. The levels of CXCL8, CCL3, CCL4, IL-1ß and IL-2 in the saliva of patients with white spot lesions were significantly higher in patients after invisible orthodontic treatment (P < 0.05). Correlation analysis and binary logistic regression analysis showed that elevated levels of CXCL8, IL-1ß and IL-2 were independent risk factors for the occurrence of white spot lesions (P < 0.05). CXCL8 had the highest independent predictive value for the occurrence of white spot lesions (AUC = 0.773, P < 0.05), and the combination of IL-1ß and IL-2 was also of high value in predicting the occurrence of white spot lesions. CONCLUSION: After invisible orthodontic treatment, the oral microenvironment, including inflammatory cytokine levels, in adolescent patients changes; in particular, the levels of inflammatory cytokines such as CXCLs and ILs change. CXCL8 expression is significantly associated with the occurrence of white spot lesions and is an important potential target for the prevention and treatment of white spot lesions in the future.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes (GMs) play a crucial role in preventing the leakage and migration of pollutants. GM service life and ageing properties are the main concerns for the choice of materials. However, it is not clear how the mechanical properties and anti-fouling performance of geomembranes change with ageing time. To solve this problem, a HDPE GM was selected for testing under exposed air condition. The tests included oxidation induction time (OIT), melt flow index (MFI), tensile properties and diffusivity under four temperature conditions for 1½ years. The test results showed that the GM has higher OIT degradation rates. Stage I - depletion of antioxidants occurred at only 10 years for the GM, which was approximately 1/4 that of the GM-GSE. The GM engineering properties index showed the same changes as those of the GM-GSE. However, MI rapidly decreased with the incubation time. The molecular weight degradation of the GM was approximately 57% and far greater than that of GM-GSE after 15 months, but the tensile properties of the two GMs showed little change. The diffusion coefficient Di of GM increases gradually with the increase of temperature in methane and trichloromethane. Under the same conditions, the diffusion coefficient Di of the GM in methane is significantly higher than that in trichloromethane, indicating that the GM has better barrier to trichloromethane.

Advance in stem cell research resulted in several processes to generate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from adult somatic cells. In our previous study, the reprogramming of iPSCs from human dental mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) including SCAP and DPSCs, has been reported. Herein, safe iPSCs were reprogrammed from SCAP and DPSCs using non-integrating RNA virus vector, which is an RNA virus carrying no risk of altering host genome. DPSCs- and SCAP-derived iPSCs exhibited the characteristics of the classical morphology with human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) without integration of foreign genes, indicating the potential of their clinical application. Moreover, induced PSCs showed the capacity of self-renewal and differentiation into cardiac myocytes. We have achieved the differentiation of hiPSCs to cardiomyocytes lineage under serum and feeder-free conditions, using a chemically defined medium CDM3. In CDM3, hiPSCs differentiation is highly generating cardiomyocytes. The results showed this protocol produced contractile sheets of up to 97.2% TNNT2 cardiomyocytes after purification. Furthermore, derived hiPSCs differentiated to mature cells of the three embryonic germ layers in vivo and in vitro of beating cardiomyocytes. The above whole protocol enables the generation of large scale of highly pure cardiomyocytes as needed for cellular therapy.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a major cause of chronic liver disease. The outcomes of both spontaneous HCV clearance and response to therapy depend on both viral and host factors. To investigate the influence of polymorphisms of IL-28B rs12979860 and TBX21 rs17250932, rs4794067 as well as viral factors (HCV genotype, F protein) on the outcome of HCV infection, we genotyped 565 patients with chronic HCV infection, 191 patients spontaneously resolved from HCV infection, 359 healthy controls and 383 treatment-naïve CHC patients with pegylated interferon-α and ribavirin (PEG IFN-α/RBV). Results showed that TBX21 rs4794067 variant genotypes significantly correlated with increased risk of HCV chronic infection (dominant model: OR = 5.690, 95% CI = 2.024-16.000) and susceptibility (dominant model: OR = 5.658, 95% CI = 2.514-12.735). We also found that the rs12979860, rs2227982 and rs36084323 polymorphisms showed no significant associations with susceptibility or spontaneous clearance of HCV in the anti-F antibody subgroup; however, the anti-F antibody positive subgroup might show an increased risk of N-SVR (all P < 0.001). Our results demonstrate that variant factors in both the host and pathogen are commonly important for HCV clearance. In addition rs4794067 and F protein status may be strong predictive markers in the Chinese population.

RESUMEN

Dental stem cells are a minor population of mesenchymal stem cells existing in specialized dental tissues, such as dental pulp, periodontium, apical papilla, dental follicle and so forth. Standard methods have been established to isolate and identify these stem cells. Due to their differentiation potential, these mesenchymal stem cells are promising for tooth repair. Dental stem cells have been emerging to regenerated teeth and periodontal tissues, ascribe to their self-renewal, multipotency and tissue specific differentiation potential. Therefore, dental stem cells based regeneration medicine highlights a promising access to repair damaged dental tissues or generate new teeth. In this review, we provide an overview of human dental stem cells including isolation and identification, involved pathways and outcomes of regenerative researches. A number of basic researches, preclinical studies and clinical trials have investigated that dental stem cells efficiently improve formation of dental specialized structure and healing of periodontal diseases, suggesting a great feasibility and prospect of these approaches in translational medicine of dental regeneration.

In this study, we prepared solid dispersions (SDs) of 20(S)-protopanaxadiol (PPD) using a melting-solvent method with different polymers, in order to improve the solubility and dissolution performance of drugs with poor water solubility. The SDs were characterized via differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and molecular docking and dynamics study. DSC and PXRD results indicated that PPD crystallinity in SDs was significantly reduced, and that the majority of PPD is amorphous. No interaction was observed between PPD and polymers on FTIR and NMR spectra. Molecular docking and dynamic calculations indicated that the PPD molecule localized to the interpolated charged surface, rather than within the amorphous polymer chain network, which might help prevent PPD crystallization, consequently enhancing the PPD dispersion in polymers. An in vitro dissolution study revealed that the SDs considerably improved the PPD dissolution performance in distilled water containing 0.35% Tween-80 (T-80). Furthermore, among three PPD-SDs formulations, Poloxamer188 (F68) was the most effective in improving the PPD solubility and was even superior to the mixed polymers. Therefore, the SD prepared with F68 as a hydrophilic polymer carrier might be a promising strategy for improving solubility and in vitro dissolution performance. F68-based SD, containing PPD with a melting-solvent preparation method, can be used as a promising, nontoxic, quick-release, and effective intermediate for other pharmaceutical formulations, in order to achieve a more effective drug delivery.

This study aims to elucidate the clinical efficacy of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) and Bioceramic Materials in pulpotomy procedures for early-stage chronic pulpitis in deciduous teeth. The clinical data of 100 children with early chronic pulpitis in deciduous teeth treated at our institution between January 2021 and January 2023 were included retrospectively, which were divided into an experimental group (n = 50) and a control group (n = 50) according to the treatment methods. Experimental group received pulpotomy with Thera Cal LC as bioceramic pulp-capping material versus control group with MTA as pulp-capping agent. Comparative studies were conducted to assess the clinical effectiveness and differences between both pulp-capping techniques. At 12 months postoperatively, the experimental group showed a significantly higher success rate than the control group (96.00% vs. 80.00%, p < 0.05). Post-treatment inflammatory markers (Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α), Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and Interleukin-8 (IL-8)) were substantially lower in the experimental group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, significantly lower pain scores and higher comfort and satisfaction scores were obtained in the experimental group (p < 0.05). Experimental group adverse reactions were also lower in the experimental group (p < 0.05). TheraCal LC bioceramic material treats early chronic pulpitis in deciduous teeth effectively. Clinically, it is an excellent therapeutic option for emergence of permanent dentition, pain relief, comfort and improvement of patient satisfaction.

Background: Pharyngeal packs are employed to mitigate postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and have become prevalent in dental and otolaryngological surgeries. However, their clinical efficacy continues to be a topic of debate. The objective of the present study was to conduct a quantitative assessment of the impact of pharyngeal packing in dental and otolaryngological surgeries through meta-analysis. Methods: We identified relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) through systematic searches of online databases, including PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central. Potential eligible studies were evaluated using the Jadad scoring system (range 0-5 points), with only high-quality RCTs (3 points or more) being included. The incidence of PONV, morbidity, and the level of throat pain were aggregated and estimated. Publication bias was evaluated using funnel plot symmetry and the Egger test. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system was utilized to rate the evidence. Results: Ten high-quality RCTs comprising 1026 participants were ultimately included. Subsequent quantitative pooled estimation unveiled that the utilization of pharyngeal packing did not lead to a significant reduction in the incidence of nausea (P = .272), vomiting (P = .775), overall PONV (P = .118), or throat pain (P = .149). By contrast, the application of pharyngeal packs was found to significantly increase the level of throat pain (P = .003). No obvious publication bias was detected, and the majority of evidence was rated high or moderate. Conclusion: Based on the existing evidence, we conclude that pharyngeal packing lacks clinical benefit and is not advised for dental and otolaryngological surgeries.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical efficacy of antibiotic bone cement covered reconstruction steel plate in the treatment of infected anterior pelvic ring fracture. METHODS: From January 2017 to March 2022, 11 patients with infected anterior pelvic ring fracture were treated with antibiotic bone cement covered reconstruction steel plate including 7 males and 4 females and the age ranged from 27 to 49 years old. The pelvic fractures were classified according to the Tile typology: 4 cases of C1 type, 4 cases of C2 type, and 3 cases of C3 type. Among them, 2 cases of infected anterior ring were infected after internal fixation of anterior ring, and 9 patients were infected with infected anterior ring due to incomplete early debridement, which was classified as infected according to the injury severity score(ISS) for 24 to 38 scores. The anterior ring was internally fixed by extended debridement, irrigation, and antibiotic bone cement covered reconstruction plate, and the posterior ring fractures were all closed reduction and internally fixed with sacroiliac screws. RESULTS: All 11 cases obtained follow-up from 13 to 20 months. Among them, 2 patients had recurrence of postoperative infection, 1 case was re-dissected and replaced with antibiotic bone cement-coated internal fixation, and 1 case had a milder infection without accumulation of the medullary cavity, and the infection was controlled by retaining the plate and replacing the antibiotic bone cement only after dissecting. Two cases developed incisional oozing, which healed after removal of the internal fixation three months postoperatively. All patients did not show pelvic fracture redisplacement or reinfection during the follow-up period. All 11 cases eventually healed bony. At the final follow-up, according to the Matta score, the fracture reduction was excellent in 6 cases, good in 4, and possible in 1. According to the Majeed functional score, it was excellent in 6, good in 3, and possible in 2. CONCLUSION: Antibiotic bone cement covered reconstruction plate is effective in the treatment of infected anterior pelvic ring fracture, with high intraoperative safety and low recurrence rate of infection, which is conducive to the early postoperative rehabilitation and significantly shortens the course of the disease.

BACKGROUND: Gastric aspiration is applied in oral and maxillofacial procedures to reduce postoperative vomiting (POV), yet its clinical benefit remains largely uncertain. Our study aimed to determine the role of gastric aspiration in the amelioration of POV by a meta-analysis. METHODS: With adherence to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, global recognized databases, including PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central, were searched to obtain randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effects of gastric aspiration in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The incidence and the number of episodes of POV and the frequency of rescue antiemetic use were extracted as parametric data for pooled estimation. Funnel plots and Egger's test were utilized to assess bias. The recommendation of evidence was rated by the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system. RESULTS: After detailed evaluation, 5 RCTs containing 274 participants were eventually included. The results of pooled estimation indicated that gastric aspiration could not reduce the incidence of POV (risk ratio [95% CI] = 0.94 [0.73, 1.21], P = .621), the number of episodes of POV (standard mean difference [95% CI] = -0.13 [-0.45, 0.19], P = .431) or the frequency of rescue antiemetic use (RR [95% CI] = 0.86 [0.49, 1.52], P = .609). No publication bias was detected by the funnel plot and Egger test. The overall recommendation of evidence was rated low regarding each outcome. CONCLUSION: Based on current evidence, gastric aspiration is not recommended for oral and maxillofacial surgery. Meanwhile, more large-scale high-quality RCTs are needed.

A temperature/pH dual sensitive hydrogel with a semi-interpenetrating network (semi-IPN) structure was synthesized through an aqueous amino-succinimide reaction between water-soluble polysuccinimide and polyethyleneimine in the presence of thermosensitive cellulose derivatives. Single-factor experiments were carried out to optimize the preparation conditions of the semi-IPN hydrogel. The swelling behavior and cytotoxicity assay of the hydrogel were tested. Finally, taking 5- fluorouracil (5-Fu) as a model drug, the release performance of the 5-Fu-loaded hydrogel was investigated. The results indicated that the swelling ratio (SR) first decreased and then increased when the pH of the solutions ascended from 2 to 10. The SR decreased with the increase in temperature. In addition, the swelling behavior of the hydrogel was reversible and reproducible under different pH values and temperatures. The prepared hydrogels had good cytocompatibility. The release behavior of 5-Fu was most consistent with the Korsmeyer-Peppas model and followed the case II diffusion. The acidic environment was beneficial for the release of 5-Fu. The preparation process of the semi-IPN hydrogel is simple and the reaction can proceed quickly in water. The strategy introduced here has great potential for application in the preparation of drug carriers.

OBJECTIVES: Diode laser represent a practical clinical strategy for treating gingival hyperpigmentation. However, its effectiveness remains controversial. We conducted a meta-analysis evaluating the quantitative effects of diode laser therapy on gingival hyperpigmentation. METHOD AND MATERIALS: Pubmed, Embase, Web Of Science, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched for the use of diode laser in gingival hyperpigmentation. The primary outcomes assessed were the Dummett-Gupta Oral Pigmentation Index (DOPI), Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores, and the Wound Healing Index (WHI) for overall evaluation. I2 index was calculated to identify heterogeneity and sensitivity analyses sources of heterogeneity. Funnel plots and Egger's test were utilized to evaluate publication bias. RESULTS: Thirteen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving a total of 233 participants were included in this study. The analysis demonstrated that diode laser had a significant effect on DOPI (standard mean difference [SMD] = -0.245, 95% CI = -0.415 to -0.040, P =.019) and VAS (SMD = -0.089, 95% CI = -1.332 to -0.285, P =.002), with no significant effect on WHI (SMD = -0.224, 95% CI = -1.100 to 0.653, P =.617). Despite the significant heterogeneity in VAS and WHI indicated by the I2 index statistic, the sensitivity analyses' results demonstrated the main findings' reliability. While no significant publication bias was detected for DOPI and WHI, the VAS results exhibited notable publication bias. CONCLUSION: The study demonstrated that diode laser prolongs gingival repigmentation time and reduces pain compared to other treatments. However, the efficacy in wound healing did not significantly promote.

Ralstonia solanacearum PhcB and PhcA control a quorum-sensing (QS) system that globally regulates expression of about one third of all genes, including pathogenesis genes. The PhcB-PhcA QS system positively regulates the production of exopolysaccharide (EPS) and negatively regulates hrp gene expression, which is crucial for the type III secretion system (T3SS). Both EPS and the T3SS are essential for pathogenicity. The gene rsc2734 is located upstream of a phcBSR operon and annotated as a response regulator of a two-component system. Here, we demonstrated that RSc2734, hereafter named PrhX, positively regulated hrp gene expression via a PrhA-PrhIR-PrhJ-HrpG signalling cascade. Moreover, PrhX was crucial for R. solanacearum to invade host roots and grow in planta naturally. prhX expression was independent of the PhcB-PhcA QS system. PrhX did not affect the expression of phcB and phcA and the QS-dependent phenotypes, such as EPS production and biofilm formation. Our results provide novel insights into the complex regulatory network of the T3SS and pathogenesis in R. solanacearum.

INTRODUCTION: White spot lesions are a common complication after orthodontic treatment. The aim of this systematic review was to investigate which remineralizing agents are effective for the treatment of white spot lesions after orthodontic treatment. METHODS: According to predetermined criteria, 4 databases were searched for appropriate studies. References of the selected articles and relevant reviews were searched for any missed publications. RESULTS: Seven randomized controlled trials were selected as eligible studies, and only qualitative analyses were performed because of the diversity of the interventions and outcome measures. Two studies showed significant effects of 2 different fluoride preparations: one with a small sample size and several methodologic deficiencies, and the other using only nonconventional detection methods (ie, DIAGNOdent pen, KaVo, Biberach, Germany) to assess white spot lesions. Two studies involved casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate, which seemed to be effective for the regression of white spot lesions. However, the statistical analysis in 1 study was based on the tooth surfaces instead of the patient, and the visual examination used in the other study to assess the white spots was not reliable. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the literature, there is a lack of reliable evidence to support the effectiveness of remineralizing agents for the treatment of postorthodontic white spot lesions.

White spot lesions (WSLs) have long been a noteworthy complication during orthodontic treatment. Recently, an increasing number of orthodontists have found that adolescents undergoing orthodontic treatment with clear aligners are at a higher risk of developing WSLs. The oral microbiota and metabolites are considered the etiologic and regulatory factors of WSLs, but the specific impact of clear aligners on the oral microbiota and metabolites is unknown. This study investigated the differences in the salivary microbiome and metabolome between adolescents with and without WSLs treated with clear aligners. Fifty-five adolescents (aged 11-18) with Invisalign appliances, 27 with and 28 without WSLs, were included. Saliva samples were analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS); the data were further integrated for Spearman correlation analysis. The relative abundances of 14 taxa, including Actinobacteria, Actinomycetales, Rothia, Micrococcaceae, Subdoligranulum, Capnocytophaga, Azospira, Olsenella, Lachnoanaerobaculum, and Abiotrophia, were significantly higher in the WSL group than in the control group. Metabolomic analysis identified 27 potential biomarkers, and most were amino acids, including proline and glycine. The metabolites were implicated in 6 metabolic pathways, including alanine, aspartate and glutamate metabolism; glycine, serine and threonine metabolism; and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis. There was a correlation between the salivary microbial and metabolomic datasets, reflecting the impact of clear aligners on the metabolic activity of the oral flora. A concordant increase in the levels of Lachnoanaerobaculum, Rothia, Subdoligranulum and some amino acids had predictive value for WSL development. In summary, when adolescents undergo long-term clear aligner therapy with poor oral hygiene habits, clear aligners can disrupt the balance of the oral microecosystem and lead to oral microbiota dysbiosis, thereby increasing the risk of developing WSLs. Our findings might contribute to the understanding of the pathogenesis of WSLs and provide candidate biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of WSLs associated with clear aligners.

An advanced hydrophobic lignin-based polyurethane coated urea (HLPCU) was successfully developed by synergy of carbon black (CB) and polysiloxane. In this work, CB and polysiloxane were employed to modify the liquefied lignin-based polyurethane (LLPU) and improve it's the hydrophobicity. The effects of polysiloxane contents and coating rates on the nutrient release of HLPCU were thoroughly investigated. The lignin was degraded into polyol with a low molecular weight. FT-IR, XPS and EDX results confirmed that polysiloxane was grafted to the LLPU. The water contact angle (WCA) of the HLPUs (89.39°-98.68°) gradually increased as the polysiloxane content rose (5 %-15 %). However, when the polysiloxane content further increased to 20 %, the WCA of the HLPUs rapidly declined (90.82°). A proper amount of polysiloxane molecules could increase thermo-physical properties of LLPU. The almost no pores were observed on the section micrograph of the HLPCU obtained by synergy of CB and polysiloxane. Synergy between CB and polysiloxane could significantly improve hydrophobicity and then enhance N release longevity of HLPCU (polysiloxane content of 15 %, coating rates of 7 %) up to 44 days. Compared to traditional urea, HLPCU could improve total N use efficiency the cabbage. The HLPCU and HLPCU85 treatments (15 % weight loss with fertilization) reduced the greenhouse effect of N2O, CO2 and CH4 and finally reduced GWP, especially for HLPCU85 treatment. This work will supply an advanced approach and process technology for progress of HLPCU and sustainable agriculture.

Cell chirality is extremely important for the evolution of cell morphogenesis to manipulate cell performance due to left-right asymmetry. Although chiral micro- and nanoscale biomaterials have been developed to regulate cell functions, how cell chirality affects cell nanomechanics to command nuclear mechanotransduction was ambiguous. In this study, chiral engineered microcircle arrays were prepared by photosensitive cross-linking synthesis on cell culture plates to control the clockwise/counterclockwise geometric topology of stem cells. Asymmetric focal adhesion and cytoskeleton structures could induce chiral cell nanomechanics measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM) nanoindentation in left-/right-handed stem cells. Cell nanomechanics could be enhanced when the construction of mature focal adhesion and the assembly of actin and myosin cytoskeletons were well organized in chiral engineered stem cells. Curvature angles had a negative effect on cell nanomechanics, while cell chirality did not change cytoskeletal mechanics. The biased cytoskeleton tension would engender different nuclear mechanotransductions by yes-associated protein (YAP) evaluation. The chiral stimuli were delivered into the nuclei to oversee nuclear behaviors. A strong cell modulus could activate high nuclear DNA synthesis activity by mechanotransduction. The results will bring the possibility of understanding the interplay of chiral cell nanomechanics and mechanotransduction in nanomedicines and biomaterials.

As a novel targeting drug delivery system, acid-sensitive micelles have many advantages, such as increasing solubility of lipophilic drugs, acid-sensitive release, high drug loading, etc. They can load drugs though non-covalent encapsulation and covalent conjugation methods. In tumor tissues, drugs are released quickly from the depolymerized micelles with lipophilic copolymer protonation or lypohydrophilic copolymer hydrolysis and covalent conjugated drugs are released when the acid-sensitive covalent linkage breaks. This review mainly advances acid-sensitive micelles for the tumor targeting drug delivery systems from drug-loaded methods and release mechanisms.

With the rapid development of mobile internet and artificial intelligence, wearable electronic devices have a great market prospect. In particular, information storage and processing of real-time collected data are an indispensable part of wearable electronic devices. Biomaterial-based memristive systems are suitable for storage and processing of the obtained information in wearable electronics due to the accompanying merits, i.e. sustainability, lightweight, degradability, low power consumption, flexibility and biocompatibility. So far, many biomaterial-based flexible and wearable memristive devices were prepared by spin coating or other technologies on a flexible substrate at room temperature. However, mechanical deformation caused by mechanical mismatch between devices and soft tissues leads to the instability of device performance. From the current research and practical application, the device will face great challenges when adapting to different working environments. In fact, some interesting studies have been performed to address the above issues while they were not intensively highlighted and overviewed. Herein, the progress in wearable biomemristive devices is reviewed, and the outlook and perspectives are provided in consideration of the existing challenges during the development of wearable biomemristive systems.
