RESUMEN

Seneca Valley virus (SVV) is related to vesicular disease in pigs, and its clinical symptoms are indistinguishable from other notifiable clinical symptoms of vesicular disease such as foot-and-mouth disease. The rapid and accurate detection of SVV is essential to confirm the pathogenic factors and initiate the implementation of control measures. The development of a rapid, simple, convenient, and low-cost molecular (nucleic acid amplification) test that can be used at the sample collection point has been identified as a key component for controlling SVV. This study describes the development and demonstration of recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) test targeting the conserved regions of SVV for detection of SVV. The Primers and probes designed by us have shown good sensitivity and specificity in RPA test, which is helpful for RPA to be an effective tool for rapid diagnosis of SVV.

RESUMEN

Using ab initio alloy theory, we determine the elastic parameters of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic Fe(1-c)Cr(c) (0 ≤ c ≤ 1) alloys in the body centered cubic crystallographic phase. Comparison with the experimental data demonstrates that the employed theoretical approach accurately describes the observed composition dependence of the polycrystalline elastic moduli. The predicted single-crystal elastic constants follow complex anomalous trends, which are shown to originate from the interplay between magnetic and chemical effects. The nonmonotonic composition dependence of the elastic parameters has marked implications on the micro-mechanical properties of ferrite stainless steels.

RESUMEN

Ab initio calculations, based on the exact muffin-tin orbitals method are used to determine the elastic properties of Cu-Au alloys with Au/Cu ratio 1/3. The compositional disorder is treated within the coherent potential approximation. The lattice parameters and single-crystal elastic constants are calculated for different partially ordered structures ranging from the fully ordered L1(2) to the random face centered cubic lattice. It is shown that the theoretical elastic constants follow a clear trend with the degree of chemical order: namely, C(11) and C(12) decrease, whereas C(44) remains nearly constant with increasing disorder. The present results are in line with the experimental findings that the impact of the chemical ordering on the fundamental elastic parameters is close to the resolution of the available experimental and theoretical tools.
