PURPOSE: Iatrogenic lip injury may occur during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of oral retractors on iatrogenic lip injury prevention during intraoral procedures of oral and maxillofacial surgery. METHODS: We conducted a randomized controlled trial and included patients who underwent intraoral procedures of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Patients were randomly allocated to receive oral retractor (intervention group) or traditional procedure without lip protection (control group). The incidence of lip injury was the outcome variable. Other study variables included surgical time and satisfaction of patients and surgeons with treatment experience evaluated by visual analog scale (VAS). Student t test and χ 2 test were used to compare both groups' variables and measure the relationship between the predictor variable and the outcome variable. P <0.05 was considered significant for all analyses. RESULTS: A total of 114 patients were included, with 56 allocated to intervention group and 58 to control group. The results showed that the application of an oral retractor did not significantly increase surgical time ( P =0.318). A total of 12 patients had lip injury, with 1 in the intervention group and 11 in the control group ( P =0.003). For the assessment of satisfaction with treatment experience, the intervention group had significantly higher VAS scores for doctors and patients ( P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: We found that the oral retractor was a good tool for iatrogenic lip injury prevention in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures and could be considered in clinical treatment.

Nanoplastics (NPs, <1 µm) are of great concern worldwide because of their high potential risk toward organisms in aquatic systems, while very little work has been focused on their tissue-specific toxicokinetics due to the limitations of NP quantification for such a purpose. In this study, NPs with two different sizes (86 and 185 nm) were doped with palladium (Pd) to accurately determine the uptake and depuration kinetics in various tissues (intestine, stomach, liver, gill, and muscle) of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in water, and subsequently, the corresponding toxic effects in the intestine were explored. Our results revealed uptake and depuration constants of 2.70-378 L kg-1 day-1 and 0.138-0.407 day-1 for NPs in tilapia for the first time, and the NPs in tissues were found to be highly dependent on the particle size. The intestine exhibited the greatest relative accumulation of both sizes of NPs; the smaller NPs caused more severe damage than the larger NPs to the intestinal mucosal layer, while the larger NPs induced a greater impact on microbiota composition. The findings of this work explicitly indicate the size-dependent toxicokinetics and intestinal toxicity pathways of NPs, providing new insights into the ecological effects of NPs on aquatic organisms.

In this study, we investigated the mechanism underlying the perturbation of hepatic lipid metabolism in response to micro/nanoplastic (MP/NP) exposure at environmentally relevant concentrations. Polystyrene (PS) MPs/NPs with different sizes (0.1, 0.5, and 5.0 µm) were studied for their effects on the homeostasis and function of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) liver. Results showed that PS MPs/NPs were readily internalized and accumulated in various internal organs/tissues, especially in fish liver and muscle. Smaller-sized NPs caused more severe toxicity than larger MPs, including hepatic steatosis, inflammatory response, and disturbed liver function. Mechanistically, PS NPs with a particle size of 100 nm perturbed protein homeostasis in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by inhibiting the expression of chaperone proteins and genes involved in ER-associated degradation. This led to the activation of the PERK-eIF2α pathway, which caused dysfunction of hepatic lipid metabolism. Induction of oxidative stress and activation of the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway were also involved in the PS NP-induced hepatic lipid accumulation. These findings highlight the potential adverse effects of environmental MPs/NPs on aquatic organisms, raising concerns about their ecotoxicity and food safety.

There is a growing concern about the effects of nanoplastics on biological safety and human health because of their global ubiquity in the environment. Methodologies for quantitative analysis of nanoplastics are important for the critical evaluation of their possible risks. Herein, a sensitive yet simple and environmentally friendly extraction approach mediated by protein corona is developed and coupled to pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) for nanoplastic determination in environmental waters. The developed methodology involved the formation of protein corona by addition of bovine serum albumin (BSA) to samples and protein precipitation via salting out. Then, the resulting extract was directly introduced to Py-GC/MS for nanoplastic mass quantification. Taking 50 nm polystyrene (PS) particles as a model, the highest extraction efficiency for nanoplastics was achieved under the extraction conditions of BSA concentration of 20 mg/L, equilibration time of 5 min, pH 3.0, 10% (w/v) NaCl, incubation temperature of 80 °C, and incubation period of 15 min. The extraction was confirmed to be mediated by the protein corona by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis of the extracted nanoplastics. In total, 1.92 and 2.82 µg/L PS nanoplastics were detected in river water and the influent of wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), respectively. Furthermore, the feasibility of the present methodology was demonstrated by applying to extract PS and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanoplastics from real waters with recoveries of 72.1-98.9% at 14.2-50.4 µg/L spiked levels. Consequently, our method has provided new insights and possibilities for the investigation of nanoplastic pollution and its risk assessment in the environment.

Micro- and nanoplastics unavoidably enter into organisms and humans as a result of widespread exposures through drinking waters, foods, and even inhalation. However, owing to the limited availability of quantitative analytical methods, the effect of nanoplastics inside animal bodies is poorly understood. Herein, we report a sensitive and robust method to determine the chemical composition, mass concentration, and size distribution of nanoplastics in biological matrices. This breakthrough is based on a novel procedure including alkaline digestion and protein precipitation to extract nanoplastics from tissues of aquatic animals, followed by quantitative analysis with pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The optimized procedure exhibited good reproducibility and high sensitivity with the respective detection limits of 0.03 µg/g for polystyrene (PS) nanoplastics and 0.09 µg/g poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanoplastics. This method also preserved the original morphology and size of nanoplastics. Furthermore, to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, 14 species of aquatic animals were collected, and PS nanoplastics in a concentration range of 0.093-0.785 µg/g were detected in three of these animals. Recovery rates of 73.0-89.1% were further obtained for PS and PMMA nanospheres when they were spiked into the tissues of Zebra snail and Corbicula fluminea at levels of 1.84-2.12 µg/g. Consequently, this method provides a powerful tool for tracking nanoplastics in animals.

A sandwiched mixed matrix membrane (MMM) based on a metal-organic framework-hydrogel hybrid exhibits eximious performance in the detection of mitoxantrone. Parts per billion-level sensitivity and good selectivity in serum among other analogous antineoplastics have been achieved. This flexible MMM can be used for point-of-care testing drugs in a biological medium.

Anti-centrosome antibodies are rare findings with undefined clinical significance in clinical research. We aimed at investigating the prevalence and clinical significance of anti-centrosome antibodies in Chinese population. Testing results of total of 281,230 ANA-positive sera were retrospectively obtained from West China Hospital Sichuan University in China between 2008 and 2017. We retrospectively collected and analysed the clinical and laboratory data of the patients with positive anti-centrosome antibody. Of the 356 453 patients tested, 281 230 patients had positive antinuclear antibodies (ANAs, 78.9%), but only 78 patients with positive anti-centrosome antibodies (0.022%), of which 74.4% are females. Diagnoses were established in 69 of 78 patients: 37 cases were autoimmune diseases, mainly including undifferentiated connective tissue diseases (UCTD, 9/37), rheumatoid arthritis (RA, 6/37), Sjögren's syndrome (SS, 5/37) and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC, 5/37), and the remaining were other autoimmune conditions. The most frequent clinical symptoms of the anti-centrosome-positive patients were arthralgia and eyes and mouth drying. Additionally, 86.7% of anti-centrosome antibodies were not associated with other ANA profiles; however, when associated, the most frequent ANA was anti-U1RNP. Anti-centrosome antibodies are featured by a low prevalence and female gender predominance. They are correlated with some specific diseases, both autoimmune diseases, especially UCTD, RA, SS and PBC, and non-autoimmune diseases, such as infection and cancer, which suggests that they might be potential supporting serological markers of these diseases.

This paper first reports on the selective separation of volatile fatty acids (VFAs) (acetic and hexanoic acids) using polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) containing quaternary ammonium and phosphonium ionic liquids (ILs) as the carrier. The affecting parameters such as IL content, VFA concentration, and the initial pH of the feed solution as well as the type and concentration of the stripping solution were investigated. PIMs performed a much higher selective separation performance toward hexanoic acid. The optimal PIM composed of 60 wt% quaternary ammonium IL with the permeability coefficients for acetic and hexanoic acid of 0.72 and 4.38 µm s-1, respectively, was determined. The purity of hexanoic acid obtained in the stripping solution increased with an increase in the VFA concentration of the feed solution and decreasing HCl concentration of the stripping solution. The use of Na2CO3 as the stripping solution and the involvement of the electrodialysis process could dramatically enhance the transport efficiency of both VFAs, but the separation efficiency decreased sharply. Furthermore, a coordinating mechanism containing hydrogen bonding and ion exchange for VFA transport was demonstrated. The highest purity of hexanoic acid (89.3%) in the stripping solution demonstrated that this PIM technology has good prospects for the separation and recovery of VFAs from aqueous solutions.

Nanomaterials, such as ZrO2 nanoparticles (ZrO2 NPs), are very effective in water remediation. However, the safety issues related to nanoparticle release and toxicity to humans remain to be resolved. Here we evaluated the cytotoxicity of ZrO2 NPs and their adducts with pollutants using a human cell panel containing stomach, intestine, liver and kidney cells. We found that different pollutants or ZrO2NP/pollutant adducts targeted cells from different organs, suggesting the necessity of a cell panel to model oral exposures. The cooperation of ZrO2 NPs and pollutants was quite complex, consisting of synergistic, antagonistic, or additive effects. For example, ZrO2 NPs enhanced the cytotoxicity of Pb2+ in GES-1 cells and of Pb2+, Cd2+ in FHC cells, while alleviating the toxicity of Pb2+ and As (III) in HepG2 and Hek293 cells. Our results also indicated that even concentrations of pollutants that meet the national standard, the ZrO2 NPs concentration should be kept below 17 µg/mL to avoid ZrO2 NP/pollutant adduct synergistic toxicity.

To mitigate the serious problem of Cd-contaminated paddy soil, we investigated the remediation potential of combining in-situ immobilization with a low-Cd-accumulation rice cultivar. A three-season field experiment compared the soil pH, available Cd and absorption of Cd by three rice cultivars with different Cd accumulation abilities grown in Cd-contaminated paddy soil amended with lime (L), slag (S), and bagasse (B) alone or in combination. The three amendments applied alone and in combination significantly increased soil pH, reduced available Cd and absorption of Cd by rice with no effect on grain yield. Among these, the LS and LSB treatments reduced the brown rice Cd content by 38.3-69.1% and 58.3-70.9%, respectively, during the three seasons. Combined with planting of a low-Cd-accumulation rice cultivar (Xiang Zaoxian 32) resulted in a Cd content in brown rice that met the contaminant limit (≤0.2mgkg-1). However, the grain yield of the low-Cd-accumulation rice cultivar was approximately 30% lower than the other two rice cultivars. Applying LS or LSB as amendments combined with planting a low-Cd-accumulation rice cultivar is recommended for the remediation of Cd-contaminated paddy soil. The selection and breeding of low-Cd-accumulation rice cultivars with high grain production requires further research.

Some multi-component hybrids based on zeolite L/A are prepared. Firstly, zeolite A/L is loaded with lanthanide complexes (Eu-DBM or Tb-AA (acetylacetone = AA, dibenzoylmethane = DBM)) into its channels. Secondly, 3-methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (γ-MPS) is used to covalently graft onto the surface of functionalized zeolite A/L (Si-[ZA/L⊃Eu-DBM(Tb-AA)]). Thirdly, lanthanide ions (Eu(3+)/Tb(3+)) are coordinated to the functionalized zeolite A/L and ligands (phen(1,10-phenanthroline) or bipy (2,2'-bipyridyl)) are introduced by a ship-in-bottle method. The inside-outside double modifications of ZA/L with lanthanide complexes afford the final hybrids and these are characterized by means of XRD, FT-IR, UV-vis DRS, SEM and luminescence spectroscopy, some of which display white or near-white light emission. Furthermore, selected above-mentioned hybrids are incorporated into PEMA/PMMA (poly ethyl methylacryate/poly methyl methacrylate) hosts to prepare luminescent polymer films. These results provide abundant data that these hybrid materials can be expected to have potential application in various practical fields.

This paper was aim to optimize the purification technology of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata extract with macroporous adsorption resin. With the content of manninotriose as index, the absorptive flow and time were investigated, as well as kinds, amount, flow of eluent. D-101 type macroporous adsorption resin was the best choice for the purification of manninotriose. The optimized parameters were as follows: the content of manninotriose at 161.16-53.72 mg x g(-1), absorption time 240 min, eluting solvent of purified water, volume flow at 1.5 BV x h(-1), and eluant volume at 6 BV. D-101 type macroporous adsorption resin could significantly increase the purity of Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata extract with the advantage of high absorption, remove most part of impurity, and the effect of semi-works production was better.

The aquatic ecosystem, a repository for various pollutants, has been identified as a crucial zone where microplastics (MPs) serve as vectors for antibiotics, facilitating their spread. Despite this, the influence of MPs on the toxicity of antibiotics remains a topic of debate. In this study, we conduct a global meta-analysis, examining 730 datasets from 29 laboratory studies. Our findings reveal that the impact of MPs on antibiotic toxicity is highly dependent on biological response pathways, microplastic concentration, antibiotic properties, and exposure time. We observed that MPs amplify the accumulation of antibiotics in aquatic organisms, significantly heightening their adverse effects on growth, development, and immune functions. Intriguingly, MPs appear to mitigate the reproductive toxicity caused by antibiotics. A notable inverse relationship was identified between antibiotic toxicity and microplastic concentration and exposure time. Furthermore, antibiotic concentration predominantly affects growth, development, and reproductive health, whereas exposure time is critical in determining antibiotic accumulation and immune-related toxicity. These insights underscore that microplastic co-exposure can modify the toxicological profile of antibiotics. The outcomes of this research enhance our comprehensive understanding of the intricate combined effects of MPs and antibiotics on aquatic life, emphasizing the necessity for informed scientific management of these emerging contaminants.

Nanoplastics (NPs) represent a growing concern for global environmental health, particularly in marine ecosystems where they predominantly accumulate. The impact of NPs on marine benthic organisms, such as bivalves, raises critical questions regarding ecological integrity and food safety. Traditional methods for assessing NP toxicity are often limited by their time-intensive nature and ethical considerations. Herein, we explore the toxicological effects of NPs on the marine bivalve Ruditapes philippinarum, employing a combination of in vitro cellular assays and advanced modeling techniques. Results indicate a range of adverse effects at the organismal level, including growth inhibition (69.5-108%), oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and DNA damage in bivalves, following exposure to NPs at concentrations in the range of 1.6 × 109-1.6 × 1011 particles/mL (p/mL). Interestingly, the growth inhibition predicted by models (54.7-104%), based on in vitro cellular proliferation assays, shows strong agreement with the in vivo outcomes of NP exposure. Furthermore, we establish a clear correlation between cytotoxicity observed in vitro and the toxicological responses at the organismal level. Taken together, this work suggests that the integration of computational modeling with in vitro toxicity assays can predict the detrimental effects of NPs on bivalves, offering insightful references for assessing the environmental risk assessment of NPs in marine benthic ecosystems.

Despite extensive research into the presence and behavior of microplastics (MPs) in the environment, limited attention has been given to the investigation of the characteristics of dissolved organic matter (DOM) that leaches from MPs (MPs-DOM). Herein, two frequently encountered plastic particles in aquatic environments, specifically polyethylene terephthalate (PET)- and polyethylene (PE)-MPs, were subjected to leaching in the aquatic settings for seven days, both in the absence of light and under UV irradiation. Measurements of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) indicated that UV exposure enhanced the liberation of DOM from PET-MPs, while PE-MPs did not exhibit such leaching. After UV treatment for seven days, the DOM released from PET-MPs increased by 25 times, while that from PE-MPs remained almost unchanged. Then, the molecular diversity and the evolving formation of DOM originating from different MPs were comprehensively analyzed with fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM) and Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS). Specifically, both PET- and PE-DOM exhibited three fluorescence signatures, with the predominant C1 (tryptophan-like) component showing a decline in PET-DOM and a rise in PE-DOM during aging. The FT-ICR-MS analysis unveiled that PET-DOM grew more recalcitrant under UV exposure, while PE-DOM became increasingly labile. In brief, UV irradiation influences MPs-DOM release and transformation differently, depending on the plastic composition. This highlights the significance of exploring MPs-DOM transformation in securing environmental safety.

Nanoplastics (NPs) pervade daily life, posing serious threats to marine ecosystems. Despite the crucial role that surface charge plays in NP effects, there is a substantial gap in our understanding of how surface charge influences NP toxicity. Herein, by exposing Ruditapes philippinarum (R. philippinarum) to both positively charged NPs (p-NPs) and negatively charged NPs (n-NPs) at environmentally relevant particle number levels for a duration of 35 days, we unequivocally demonstrate that both types of NPs had discernible impacts on the clams depending on their surface charge. Through transcriptomic and proteomic analyses, we unveiled the primary mechanisms behind p-NP toxicity, which stem from induced mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis. In contrast, n-NPs predominantly stimulated innate immune responses, influencing salivary secretion and modulating the complement and coagulation cascades. Furthermore, in vitro tests on clam immune cells confirmed that internalized p-NPs triggered alterations in mitochondrial morphology, a decrease in membrane potential, and the initiation of ferroptosis. Conversely, n-NPs, to a certain extent, moderated the expression of genes related to immune responses, thus mitigating their adverse effects. Taken together, these findings indicate that the differential surface-charge-driven ferroptosis and mitochondrial dysfunction in clams play a critical role in the toxicity profile of NPs, providing an insightful reference for assessing the ecological toxicity associated with NPs.

The smaller size fraction of plastics may be more substantially existing and detrimental than larger-sized particles. However, reports on nanoplastics (NPs), especially their airborne occurrences and potential health hazards to the respiratory system, are scarce. Previous studies limit the understanding of their real respiratory effects, since sphere-type polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles differ from NPs occurring in nature with respect to their physicochemical properties. Here, we employ a mechanical breakdown method, producing NPs directly from bulk plastic, preserving NP properties in nature. We report that among four relatively high abundance NP materials PS, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polyethylene (PE) with a size of 100 nm, PVC induced slightly more severe lung toxicity profiles compared to the other plastics. The lung cytotoxicity of NPs is higher than that of commercial PS NPs and comparable to natural particles silicon dioxide (SiO2) and anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2). Mechanistically, BH3-interacting domain death agonist (Bid) transactivation-mediated mitochondrial dysfunction and nuclear receptor coactivator 4 (NCOA4)-mediated ferritinophagy or ferroptosis are likely common mechanisms of NPs regardless of their chemical composition. This study provides relatively comprehensive data for evaluating the risk of atmospheric NPs to lung health.

A series of luminescent polymers are synthesized by incorporating rare earth complex units into polymer matrices. Firstly, we functionalize the selected polymer matrices with the imidazolium moieties, and then introduce the rare earth tetrakis(ß-diketonate) complexes into polymer matrices through a mild anion exchange method. The resulting materials are characterized by FTIR, XRD, EDAX, SEM, thermogravimetric analysis, luminescence excitation spectra and emission spectra, luminescence lifetime measurements and diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectra. The photoluminescence measurements indicate that all these rare earth complex functionalized polymers exhibit a characteristic luminescence emission originating from the corresponding rare earth ions. Among the hybrids, the europium tetrakis(TTA) complex functionalized polymers show remarkable luminescence quantum yields and relatively long (5)D0 lifetimes at room temperature.

OBJECTIVE: To know the prevalence and probable causes of breakthrough hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection among children born after the introduction of universal infant hepatitis B vaccination in Shandong province, China. METHODS: The subjects of this study were selected from the provincial hepatitis B serosurvey conducted in 2006, who were born between 1992 and 2005 (aged 1-15 years) and were confirmed to have completed three or more doses of hepatitis B vaccine. Finally 3527 subjects were involved in this study and were investigated using a unified question are. Blood samples were collected from them to detect hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), antibody against HBsAg (Anti-HBs) and antibody against hepatitis B core antigen (Anti-HBc). The parents of children positive for HBsAg were followed up. Blood samples were collected from their parents to detect for HBsAg. The rate and correlative factors of breakthrough HBV infection were gotten by single-factor and multiple-factor analysis. RESULTS: For the 3527 subjects, the overall prevalence rates of breakthrough HBV infection were 3.15% (111/3527), which decreased while birth year grew (χ(2)(Trend) = 44.83, P < 0.01) , the rate of subjects born in 1992 was the highest (9.9%, 16/161) , subjects born in 2000 was the least (0.8%, 2/258) , the rate of the self-report positive HBsAg status of mother, father and the other family members (15.22%, 7/46;34.09%, 15/44;17.65%, 6/34) were higher than the negative (2.99%, 104/3481, 2.76%, 96/3483, 3.01%, 105/3493) (χ(2) values were 22.28, 13.97, 23.68, respectively, all P values were < 0.01) , timely first dose of hepatitis B vaccine (5.37%, 41/763) was higher than the subjects that not in time (2.53%, 70/2764) (χ(2) = 15.596, P < 0.01) . The overall prevalence rates of breakthrough chronic HBV infection was 1.08% (38/3527), which decreased while birth year grew (χ(2)(Trend) = 9.96, P < 0.05) , the rate of subjects born in 1992 was the most (3.1%, 5/161) , subjects born in 1997 was the least (0.4%, 1/261) , the rate of the self-report positive HBsAg status of mother, father and the other family members (13.04%, 6/46;29.55%, 13/44;17.65%, 6/34) were higher than the negative (0.92%, 32/3481;0.72%, 25/3483;0.92%, 32/3493) (χ(2) values were 62.62, 338.80, 88.44, respectively, all P values were < 0.05) , timely first dose of hepatitis B vaccine (1.83%, 14/763) was lower than the subjects that not in time (0.87%, 24/2764) (χ(2) = 5.16, P = 0.02) . Multiple factors analysis showed that compared to the negative, the self-report positive HBsAg status of father, mother increased the risk of breakthrough HBV infection,OR (95%CI) values were 3.73 (1.09-12.75) and 26.76 (11.86-60.37) , respectively (all P values were < 0.05) , compared with eastern cities, the risk of western cities were the highest (OR (95%CI) = 6.00 (2.50-14.40) , P < 0.05) the risk of children born in 1992-2001 was higher than those born in 2002 ( (OR (95%CI) = 1.91 (1.10-3.32) , P < 0.05) . Compared to the negative, the self-report positive HBsAg status of father, mother and the other family members increased the risk of breakthrough chronic HBV infection,OR (95%CI) values were 7.51 (1.44-39.17) , 99.99 (34.29-291.62) , 8.94 (1.81-44.10) , respectively (all P values were < 0.05) , compared with eastern cities, the risk of western rural areas were the highest (OR (95%CI) = 12.51 (2.78-56.25) , P < 0.05) , sharing tooth brush with the others increased the risk (OR (95%CI) = 8.67 (1.14-66.14) , P < 0.05) . Among HBsAg-positive children, those with HBsAg positive mother and father accounted for 12/23 and 6/19, respectively. CONCLUSION: The prevalence of breakthrough HBV infection and breakthrough chronic HBV infection among children was low in Shandong province. Mother to infant transmission might be the main reason for the infection while the role of the horizontal transmission within the family shouldn't be ignored.

Zinc is the second most abundant trace element in the human central nervous system, which is closely related to various physiological activities in the human body. Fluoride ion is one of the most harmful elements in drinking water. Excessive intake of F- may cause dental fluorosis, renal failure, or DNA damage. Therefore, it is urgent to develop sensors with high sensitivity and selectivity for the detection of Zn2+ and F- ions at the same time. In this work, a series of mixed lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) probes are synthesized using a simple method of in situ doping. The luminous color can be finely modulated by changing the molar ratio of Tb3+ and Eu3+ during synthesis. Benefiting from the unique energy transfer modulation mechanism, the probe has the continuous detection capability of zinc ions and fluoride ions. The detection of Zn2+ and F- in a real environment shows that the probe has a good practical application prospect. The as-designed sensor at 262 nm excitation can sequentially detect Zn2+ concentrations ranging from 10-8 to 10-3 M (LOD = 4.2 nM) and F- levels ranging from 10-5 to 10-3 M (LOD = 3.6 µM) with high selectivity. Based on different output signals, a simple Boolean logic gate device is constructed to realize intelligent visualization of Zn2+ and F- monitoring.
