RESUMO
Porous bimetallic alloyed palladium silver (PdAg) nanoflowers supported on reduced graphene oxide (PdAg NFs/rGO) were prepared via a facile and simple in situ reduction process, with the assistance of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a structure directing agent. The as-prepared nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode (PdAg NFs/rGO/GCE) showed enhanced catalytic currents and enlarged peak potential separations for the oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA), and uric acid (UA) as compared to those of PdAg/GCE, rGO/GCE, commercial Pd/C/GCE, and bare GCE. The as-developed sensor can selectively detect AA, DA, and UA with a good anti-interference ability, wide concentration ranges of 1.0 µM-2.1 mM, 0.4-96.0 µM, and 1.0-150.0 µM, respectively, together with low detection limits of 0.057, 0.048, and 0.081 µM (S/N = 3), respectively. For simultaneous detection of AA, DA, and UA, the linear current-concentration responses were observed from 1.0 µM-4.1 mM, 0.05-112.0 µM, and 3.0-186.0 µM, with the detection limits of 0.185, 0.017, and 0.654 µM (S/N = 3), respectively.

OBJECTIVES: This study aims to test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Asher-McDade aesthetic index and clarify its feasibility for the postoperative outcome evaluation of cleft lip in China. METHODS: The Chinese version of the Asher-McDade aesthetic index was established through translation, back translation, debugging, and pre-survey. Eighty postoperative photographs of patients with cleft lip admitted to the West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University were included. Ten healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and students, in the department of cleft lip and palate surgery finished the index to test its reliability and validity. RESULTS: The Cronbach's alpha coefficient and retest reliability of this index are 0.804 and 0.895, respectively. The item-level content validity index (I-CVI) and scale-level content validity index ave-rage (S-CVI/ave) of the index are 1.000 and 0.95, respectively. For this index, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test score is 0.706, the χ2 value of Bartlett's test for the consistency of the index is 962.260 (P<0.01), and the cumulative variance contribution rate is 63.095%. CONCLUSIONS: The Chinese version of the Asher-McDade aesthe-tic index has good reliability and validity and is applicable to the professional evaluation of the effect of postoperative photographs in Chinese patients with cleft lip.

Polymer nanodots (PNDs) from a hybrid carbon source (glucose and glycine) which exhibit a stronger fluorescence than the PNDs from a single source (glucose or glycine) are obtained by one-pot hydrothermal treatment. It is attractive that PNDs can be used as an effective fluorescent probe for the detection of iron ions with good selectivity and sensitivity in an aqueous solution.
