RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Dental caries in young children is a difficult global oral health problem. In the last decade, China has put a great deal of effort into reducing the prevalence of dental caries. This study, which is part of the China Population Chronic Disease and Nutrition Surveillance 2021, aimed to investigate the prevalence of dental caries among children aged 5 in Shanghai, China, and its associated factors. METHODS: A total of 1281 children aged 5 years from 6 districts in Shanghai were selected by a stratified sampling method. The survey consisted of an oral health questionnaire and an oral health examination. The questionnaire included questions on oral health knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours. The oral health examination used WHO standards. After screening, the data were input and analysed. Chi-square tests and logistic regression analyses were used to study the relevant factors affecting dental caries. RESULTS: The prevalence of dental caries among 1281 children was 51.0%, the dmft index score was 2.46, the Significant Caries Index (SiC) score was 6.39, and the SiC10 score was 10.35. Dental caries experience was related to the frequency of sweet drink consumption, the age of starting tooth brushing, eating habits after brushing, whether the children had received an oral examination provided by the government (p < 0.05), and the mother's education level but was not related to sex, the use of fluoride toothpaste, the frequency of brushing, whether the parents assisted brushing, or the frequency of flossing (p > 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that the region of residence, eating after brushing and the age of starting brushing were associated with dental caries. CONCLUSIONS: Dental caries remained prevalent among 5-year-old children in Shanghai, China. Prevention strategies that target the associated factors including region of residence, eating after brushing, and the age of starting brushing should be considered.

RESUMO

Analysis of genetic markers can provide clues for case investigation. Short tandem repeat (STR) detection and analysis are widely used for both personal identification and parentage testing. However, DNA analysis currently cannot provide sufficient information for body fluid identification. Tissue or cell sources of samples can be identified by detecting body fluid-specific mRNA markers, which have been studied thoroughly. Integrating STR profiling and mRNA expression patterns can provide more information than conventional methods for investigations and the reconstruction of crime scenes; this can be achieved by DNA/RNA co-extraction technology, which is economical, efficient, and suitable for low-template samples. Here, we propose a co-analysis system based on the PowerPlex 16 kit. This system can simultaneously amplify 25 markers, including 15 STRs, one non-STR amelogenin, and nine mRNA markers (three blood-specific, two saliva-specific, two semen-specific, and two housekeeping gene markers). The specificity and sensitivity of the co-analysis system were determined and aged and degraded samples were used to validate the stability of the co-analysis system. Finally, different DNA/RNA ratios and various carriers were evaluated. The results showed that the DNA/RNA co-analysis system correctly identified different types of body fluid stains. The STR profiles obtained using the co-analysis system were identical to those obtained using the PP16 kit, which demonstrates that the mRNA primers used did not affect STR profiling. Complete STR and mRNA profiles could be obtained from 1/8 portions of buccal swabs, 1/16 portions of swabs of blood and semen samples, 0.1 cm2 of blood samples, 0.25 cm2 of semen samples, and 1.0 cm2 saliva samples. Additionally, our findings indicate that complete STR and mRNA profiles can be obtained with this system from blood and semen samples when the DNA/RNA ratio is 1:1/32. This study suggests that the co-analysis system could be used for simultaneous personal identification and body fluid identification.

RESUMO

This study aimed to compare the behavior of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and rabbit auricle blastema cells implanted in non-cellular gingival tissue scaffold of human. In this regard, the tissues obtained from gingival surgeries in the dental clinic were de-cellulated using two detergents of sodium dodecyl sulfate and triton 100-X. After washing and sterilization, they were used as a scaffold for culture with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells of rats. Using light and electron microscopy, these scaffolds were examined before and after 1, 2, and 4 weeks of cell culture. Also, the prepared three-dimensional scaffold was placed in the blastema ring obtained from the rabbit earlobe punch. The samples were evaluated 1, 2, and 4 weeks after culture based on histology techniques. The results showed that the study of scaffolds by electron microscopy showed preserving the epithelium matrix and the collagen fibers in the tissue. Structures similar to the epithelium were created in both samples. In addition, induction of cellular secretion was observed in scaffold cells migrating to the scaffold. In general, scaffolds made from human gums can be a good platform for studying cellular behaviors. Of course, further experiments to determine the nature of differentiated cells can help advance our knowledge of matrix cell interactions.

RESUMO

Thrombocytopenia is a common complication in sepsis and is associated with higher mortality. Activated platelets express CD62P, which facilitates platelet-leukocyte aggregate (PLA) formation and contributes to thrombocytopenia in sepsis. We have reported that thrombocytopenia in murine sepsis is partly attributable to TLR7 signaling, but the underlying mechanism is unclear. In the current study, we tested the hypothesis that TLR7 mediates platelet activation and PLA formation during sepsis. In vitro, whole blood from WT mice treated with loxoribine, a TLR7 agonist, exhibited a dose-dependent increase in activated platelets compared to the control (PBS with 0.05% DMSO) or loxoribine-treated TLR7-/- whole blood. In a murine model of sepsis, there was a significant increase in platelet activation and PLA formation 24 hours after cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) as evidenced by double positive expression of CD41+/CD62P+ and CD45+/CD62P+, respectively. The sepsis-induced PLA formation was significantly attenuated in TLR7-/- mice. Finally, in ex-vivo experiments, plasma isolated from septic mice induced WT platelet activation, but such effect was significantly attenuated in platelets deficient of TLR7. These findings demonstrate a pivotal role of TLR7 signaling in platelet activation and PLA formation during bacterial sepsis.

RESUMO

The removal of low concentration ammonia-nitrogen in industrial wastewater is necessary before discharged into the environment. In this study, vacuum plate membrane distillation (VPMD) technology was utilized and operating parameters such as pH, feed temperature, vacuum degree, feed flow and time were investigated. Based on the experimental data, the heat and mass transfer mechanism and mathematic model were studied. The experimental results show that low solution pH was significantly beneficial to ammonia-nitrogen removal but permeate flux was nearly changeless. At pH = 4, a removal rate up to 93.33% was achieved. Ammonia-nitrogen mainly exists with NH4+ ions in acidic solution, so only water molecules pass through the membrane to acquire the water product in the permeate side. Increasing the temperature of the solution was disadvantageous to the ammonia-nitrogen removal due to membrane pores expanding and the mass transfer coefficient of NH3 molecules increasing; therefore a low temperature was chosen if possible. Because vapor pressure of the feed solution increases exponentially with temperature and results in membrane surface pressure difference increases, therefore increasing the temperature enhances the permeate flux. Raising the vacuum degree enhanced ammonia removal rate and permeate flux obviously, a vacuum degree of 0.09 MPa was chosen for the experiment. The effect of feed flow rate on ammonia-nitrogen removal instead of permeate flux is weak, the reason is that the boundary layer wears thin when the feed flow rate is increased, which is conducive to permeate flux increasing. In a two-parameter model of Knudsen diffusion, Poiseuille flow was chosen to demonstrate the heat and mass transfers in the process of VPMD in the study. Based on the experimental values of permeate flux, two parameters CK and CP in the model were calculated using a nonlinear fitting method software, which indicated that the Knudsen diffusion model more than the Poiseuille flow model was suitable. The maximum values of the relative average deviation (RAD) and root mean square difference (RMSD) of experimental and calculated values with model equations of the permeate flux at the different temperature, vacuum degree and feed flow rate were no more than 8.7% and 3.20 kg · (m2 · h)-1, respectively.

RESUMO

Ganoderma lucidum is a representative white-rot fungus that has great potential to degrade lignocellulose biomass. Laccase is recognized as a class of the most important lignin-degrading enzymes in G. lucidum. However, the comprehensive regulatory mechanisms of laccase are still lacking. Based on the genome sequence of G. lucidum, 15 laccase genes were identified and their encoding proteins were analyzed in this study. All of the laccase proteins are predicted to be multicopper oxidases with conserved copper-binding domains. Most laccase proteins were secreted enzymes in addition to Lac14 in which the signal peptide could not be predicted. The activity of all laccases showed the highest level at pH 3.0 or pH 7.0, with total laccase activity of approximately 200 U/mg protein. Silencing PacC resulted in a 5.2 fold increase in laccase activity compared with WT. Five laccase genes (lac1, lac6, lac9, lac10 and lac14) showed an increased transcription levels (approximately 1.5-5.6 fold) in the PacC-silenced strains versus that in WT, while other laccase genes were downregulated or unchanged. The extracellular pH value was about 3.1, which was more acidic in the PacC-silenced strains than in the WT (pH 3.5). Moreover, maintaining the fermentation pH resulted in a downregulation of laccase activity which is induced by silencing PacC. Our findings indicate that in addition to its function in acidification of environmental pH, PacC plays an important role in regulating laccase activity in fungi.

RESUMO

New neutral iridium(III) complexes featuring a cubic polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) unit, [Ir(N∧C)2(L1-POSS)] [HN∧C = 2-phenylpyridine (Hppy; 1), 2-phenylbenzothioazole (Hbt; 2), and 2-(1-naphthyl)benzothiazole (Hbsn; 3); L1-POSS = (E)-4-[(2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino]benzyl 3-heptakis(isobutyl)POSS-propyl carbamate], were designed and synthesized. Their POSS-free counterparts, [Ir(N∧C)2(L1)] [L1 = (E)-N-(4-hydroxymethylphenyl)-1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)methanimine; HN∧C = Hppy (1a), Hbt (2a), and Hbsn (3a)], and the poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) derivatives [Ir(N∧C)2(L1-PEG)] [L1-PEG = (E)-4-[(2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino]benzyl 3-[2-[ω-methoxypoly(1-oxapropyl)]ethyl]carbamate; HN∧C = Hppy (1b), Hbt (2b), and Hbsn (3b)] were also prepared. The photophysical, photochemical, and biological properties of the POSS complexes were compared with those of their POSS-free and PEG-modified counterparts. Upon irradiation, all of these complexes displayed orange-to-red emission and long emission lifetimes under ambient conditions. The bsn complexes 3, 3a, and 3b exhibited the highest singlet oxygen (1O2) generation quantum yields (ΦΔ = 0.85-0.86) in aerated CH3CN. Laser-scanning confocal microscopy images revealed that complexes 1-3 and 1a-3a showed exclusive lipid-droplet staining upon cellular uptake, while the PEG derivatives 1b-3b displayed lysosomal localization. Complex 3 was utilized to study various lipid-droplet-related biological events including lipid-droplet accumulation under oleic acid stimulation, the movement of lipid droplets, and preadipocyte differentiation. Notably, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays indicated that the ppy complexes 1 and 1b and the bt complexes 2 and 2b were noncytotoxic both in the dark and upon irradiation at 450 nm for 5 min (IC50 > 200 µM), while the bsn complexes 3, 3a, and 3b showed low dark cytotoxicity (IC50 = 52.9 to >200 µM) and high photocytotoxicity (IC50 = 1.1-5.3 µM). The cellular uptake, internalization mechanisms, and cell death pathways of these complexes were also investigated. This work not only offers promising luminescent probes for lipid droplets through the structural modification of iridium(III) complexes but also paves the way to the construction of new reagents for theranostics.

RESUMO

Polymer-based film capacitors with high breakdown strength and excellent flexibility are crucial in the field of advanced electronic devices and electric power systems. Although massive works are carried to enhance the energy storage performances, it is still a great challenge to improve the energy density of polymer composites under the premise of large-scale industrial production. Herein, a general strategy is proposed to improve the intrinsic breakdown strength and energy storage performances by blending core-shell structured methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) rubber particles into a polymer matrix. Good compatibility and uniform dispersion state of MBS particles are observed in the matrix. Polarizing microscopy images show that blended films exhibit clear reduction of crystalline grains with the addition of MBS particles. Accordingly, an increased breakdown strength of 515 MV m-1 and discharged energy density of 12.33 J cm-3 are observed in poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)-based composite films. Through comprehensive characterizations, it is believed that the superior energy storage performance of composite films is attributed to decreased crystalline grains, improved mechanical properties, and restriction on carrier motion. These results provide a novel design of dielectric polymers for high breakdown strength and discharged energy density applications.

RESUMO

Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. Various therapeutic failed in the effective treatment of the lung cancer due to their limited accumulation and exposure in tumors. In order to promote the chemotherapeutics delivery to lung tumor, we introduced chitosan oligosaccharide (CSO) modification on the liposomes. CSO conjugated Pluronic P123 polymers with different CSO grafting amounts, called as CP50 and CP20, were synthesized and used to prepare CSO modified liposomes (CP50-LSs and CP20-LSs). CP50-LSs and CP20-LSs displayed significantly enhanced cellular uptake in A549 cells in vitro as well as superior tumor accumulation in vivo compared with non-CSO modified liposomes (P-LSs). This phenomenon was related to the increased affinity between CSO modified liposomes and tumor cells following massive adsorption of collagen, which was highly expressed in lung tumors. In the A549 tumor-bearing mouse model, intravenous injection of paclitaxel (PTX)-loaded CP50-LSs every 3 days for 21 days resulted in optimal antitumor therapeutic performance with an inhibition rate of 86.4%. These results reveal that CSO modification provides promising applicability for nanomedicine design in the lung cancer treatment.

RESUMO

Nanomedicine has attracted increasing attention and emerged as a safer and more effective modality in cancer treatment than conventional chemotherapy. In particular, the distinction of tumor microenvironment and normal tissues is often used in stimulus-responsive drug delivery systems for controlled release of therapeutic agents at target sites. In this study, we developed mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) coated with polyacrylic acid (PAA), and pH-sensitive lipid (PSL) for synergistic delivery and dual-pH-responsive sequential release of arsenic trioxide (ATO) and paclitaxel (PTX) (PL-PMSN-PTX/ATO). Tumor-targeting peptide F56 was used to modify MSNs, which conferred a target-specific delivery to cancer and endothelial cells under neoangiogenesis. PAA- and PSL-coated nanoparticles were characterized by TGA, TEM, FT-IR, and DLS. The drug-loaded nanoparticles displayed a dual-pH-responsive (pHe = 6.5, pHendo = 5.0) and sequential drug release profile. PTX within PSL was preferentially released at pH = 6.5, whereas ATO was mainly released at pH = 5.0. Drug-free carriers showed low cytotoxicity toward MCF-7 cells, but ATO and PTX co-delivered nanoparticles displayed a significant synergistic effect against MCF-7 cells, showing greater cell-cycle arrest in treated cells and more activation of apoptosis-related proteins than free drugs. Furthermore, the extracellular release of PTX caused an expansion of the interstitial space, allowing deeper penetration of the nanoparticles into the tumor mass through a tumor priming effect. As a result, FPL-PMSN-PTX/ATO exhibited improved in vivo circulation time, tumor-targeted delivery, and overall therapeutic efficacy.

RESUMO

The present study determined the quantitative markers of total proanthocyanidins in the purification of the industrial waste Choerospondias axillaris pericarp based on the comparison results of high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and mass spectrometry(MS) and optimized the purification process with two stable procyanidins as markers. The adsorption and desorption of five different macroporous adsorption resins, the static adsorption kinetics curve of NKA-Ⅱ resin, the maximum sample load, and the gradient elution were investigated. The UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS was employed for qualitative analysis of the newly-prepared total proanthocyanidins of C. axillaris pericarp. As revealed by the results, NKA-Ⅱ resin displayed strong adsorption and desorption toward total proanthocyanidins. The sample solution(50 mg·mL~(-1)) was prepared from 70% ethanol crude extract of C. axillaris pericarp dissolved in water and 7-fold BV of the sample solution was loaded, followed by static adsorption for 12 h. After 8-fold BV of distilled water and 6-fold BV of 10% ethanol were employed to remove impurities, the solution was eluted with 8-fold BV of 50% ethanol, concentrated, and dried under reduced pressure, and purified total proanthocyanidin powder was therefore obtained. Measured by vanillin-hydrochloric acid method, the purity and transfer rate of total proanthocyanidins were 47.67% and 59.92%, respectively, indicating the feasibi-lity of the optimized process. UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS qualitative analysis identified 16 procyanidins in C. axillaris total proanthocyanidins. The optimized purification process is simple in operation and accurate in component identification, and it can be applied to the process investigation of a class of components that are difficult to be separated and purified. It can also provide technical support and research ideas for the comprehensive utilization of industrial waste.

RESUMO

Cellulose is a by-product of agricultural production and an abundant waste. As a carbon source, cellulose can be degraded and utilized by fungi. Carbon sources, which act as nutrients, not only provide energy but also serve as regulators of gene expression, metabolism and growth, through various signalling networks that enable cells to sense and adapt to varying environmental conditions. Nutrient-sensing pathways prioritize the use of preferred carbon sources and regulate the production of cellulose-degrading enzymes when necessary. Understanding the regulation of the fungal cellulolytic response will become increasingly important because we strive to increase the efficiency of the utilization of these renewable energy sources. Here, we show that Glsnf1, a sucrose-nonfermenting serine-threonine-protein kinase 1 (Snf1)/AMP-activated protein kinase homologue in medicinal macro basidiomycete Ganoderma lucidum, actively responds to carbon alterations and positively regulates cellulase activity and cellulase-related gene transcription. The carbon catabolite repressor CreA, a zinc binuclear cluster transcription factor that mediates the sensing of nutrients and suppression of the transcription of a number of genes necessary for the consumption of a less preferred carbon source, participates in the Glsnf1-mediated regulation of cellulases. Glsnf1 not only negatively regulates the transcription level of the CreA gene but also hinders its localization in the nucleus. Overall, our findings reveal a key nutrient-sensing mechanism that is critical for the modulation of carbon source adaptation in G. lucidum.

RESUMO

Investigation of cell behavior under different environments and manual operations can give information in specific cellular processes. Among all cell-based analysis, single-cell study occupies a peculiar position, while it can avoid the interaction effect within cell groups and provide more precise information. Microfluidic devices have played an increasingly important role in the field of single-cell study owing to their advantages: high efficiency, easy operation, and low cost. In this review, the applications of polymer-based microfluidics on cell manipulation, cell treatment, and cell analysis at single-cell level are detailed summarized. Moreover, three mainly types of manufacturing methods, i.e., replication, photodefining, and soft lithography methods for polymer-based microfluidics are also discussed.

RESUMO

Acetylthevetin B (ATB), a cardiac glycoside from the seed of Thevetia peruviana (Pers) K Schum (yellow oleander), exhibits not only antitumor activity but also potential cardiac toxicity. In the present study, we attempted to enhance its antitumor action and decrease its adverse effects via chitosan-Pluronic P123 (CP) micelle encapsulation. Two ATB-loaded CP micelles (ATB-CP1, ATB-CP2) were prepared using an emulsion/solvent evaporation technique. They were spherical in shape with a particle size of 40-50 nm, showed a neutral zeta potential, and had acceptable encapsulation efficiency (>90%). Compared to the free ATB (IC50=2.94 µmol/L), ATB-loaded CP micelles exerted much stronger cytotoxicity against human lung cancer A549 cells with lower IC50 values (0.76 and 1.44 µmol/L for ATB-CP1 and ATB-CP2, respectively). After administration of a single dose in mice, the accumulation of ATB-loaded CP1 micelles in the tumor and lungs, respectively, was 15.31-fold and 9.49-fold as high as that of free ATB. A549 xenograft tumor mice treated with ATB-loaded CP1 micelles for 21 d showed the smallest tumor volume (one-fourth of that in the control group) and the highest inhibition rate (85.6%) among all the treatment groups. After 21-d treatment, no significant pathological changes were observed in hearts and other main tissues. In summary, ATB may serve as a promising antitumor chemotherapeutic agent for lung cancer, and its antitumor efficacy was significantly improved by CP micelles, with lower adverse effects.

RESUMO

Paclitaxel (PTX), a hydrophobic anticancer drug, is facing several clinical limitations such as low bioavailability and drug resistance. To solve the problems, a well-defined ß-cyclodextrin-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) star polymer was synthesized and used as a nanocarrier to improve the water solubility and aim to thermoresponsive delivery of PTX to cancer cells. The star polymer was able to form supramolecular self-assembled inclusion complex with PTX via host-guest interaction at room temperature, which is below the low critical solution temperature (LCST) of the star polymer, significantly improving the solubilization of PTX. At body temperature (above LCST), the phase transition of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) segments induced the formation of nanoparticles, which greatly enhanced the cellular uptake of the polymer-drug complex, resulting in efficient thermoresponsive delivery of PTX. In particular, the polymer-drug complex exhibited better antitumor effects than the commercial formulation of PTX in overcoming the multi-drug resistance in AT3B-1 cells.

RESUMO

The effects of fluoride exposure on the functions of reproductive and endocrine systems have attracted widespread attention in academic circle nowadays. However, it is unclear whether the gene-environment interaction may modify the secretion and activity of hypothalamus-pituitary- ovarian (HPO) axis hormones. Thus, the aim of this study was to explore the influence of fluoride exposure and follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) gene polymorphism on reproductive hormones in Chinese women. A cross sectional study was conducted in seven villages of Henan Province, China during 2010-2011. A total of 679 women aged 18-48 years were recruited through cluster sampling and divided into three groups, i.e. endemic fluorosis group (EFG), defluoridation project group (DFPG), and control group (CG) based on the local fluoride concentration in drinking water. The serum levels of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and estradiol (E2) were determined respectively and the FSHR polymorphism was detected by real time PCR assay. The results provided the preliminary evidence indicating the gene-environment interaction on HPO axis hormones in women.

RESUMO

Polymyxin E shows effective treatment of the infection induced by resistant gramnegative bacteria, but its nephrotoxicity severely limits the clinical application of this drug. In this work, methoxypolyethylene glycols 2000 (mPEG2K)-polymyxin E (PME) was synthesized via chemical grafting reaction and had been characterized. The antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity of mPEG2K-PME in vitro were investigated on Escherichia coli and HK-2 cells, separately. Intra-abdominal infection model was further established in order to study the therapeutic effect and the toxic effect on kidney of mice. The results showed that mPEG2K-PME exhibited significant inhibitory effect on Escherichia coli and had a lower toxicity on HK-2 cells in vitro. At the same time, mPEG2K-PME had a good efficacy in the treatment of Escherichia coli infected mice in vivo. Moreover, nephrotoxicity caused by mPEG2K-PME was significantly reduced compared to free PME. mPEG2K-PME is promising in development of new preparations with high efficiency and low toxicity.

RESUMO

N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) capped quantum dots (QDs) were synthesized by a hydrothermal method and coated with 2-amino-2-deoxy-D-glucose (DG), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and 9-D-arginine (9R). The optical properties, morphology and structure of 9R/DG-coated CdTe QDs were characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectrometry, fluorescence spectrum, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (LC-MS), sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and transmission electron micrographs (TEM). Furthermore, the biocompatibility, tumor targeted ability and transmembrane action of 9R/DG-coated CdTe QDs were studied. Results indicated that 9R/DG-coated CdTe QDs was constructed successfully by ligand exchange. The 9R/DG-coated CdTe QDs with the size of 8-10 nm had good dispersity and the absorbance and fluorescence peaks of CdTe QDs after modification were red shifted from 480 nm to 510 nm and 627 nm to 659 nm, respectively. In addition, the CdTe QDs modified by PEG, DG and 9R displayed good biocompatibility, high targeted ability to the cancer cells with glucose transporter type 1 (GLUT1) receptor high expression and obvious transmembrane ability.

RESUMO

The field of regenerative medicine for sports injuries has grown significantly in the 21st century. This study attempted to provide an overview of the current state of research and key findings regarding the relationship between sport and regenerative medicine in general, identifying trends and hotspots in research topics. We gathered the literature from the Web of Science (WOS) database covering the last 10 years (2013-2023) pertaining to regenerative medicine for sporter and applied Citespace to assess the knowledge mapping. The findings demonstrated that there were 572, with a faster increase after 2018. The country, institution, and author with the most publications are the USA, Harvard University, and Maffulli Nicola. In addition, the most co-cited reference is J Acad Nutr Diet (2016) (199). Adipose tissue, high tibial osteotomy, and bone marrow are the hot spots in this field in the next few years.

RESUMO

A new type of titanium phthalate (Ti-PA) catalyst was prepared by exchange method of phthalic acid and isopropyl titanate, which is never been reported before. The Ti-PA catalyst was characterized by FT-IR, TG, Uv-vis, BET, SEM, and EDS. The Ti-PA catalyst shows good catalytic activity in the alcoholysis reaction of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and optimal experimental conditions for the alcoholysis process were optimized by response surface methodology; the Ti-PA catalyst provided a BHET yield of 81.98% for reaction lasting 3.98 h at 191 °C of 0.86% catalyst and 13.7 ml ethylene glycol; the model has good reliability. The kinetics and reaction mechanism of the process were explored and apparent activation energy is 75.52 kJ/mol. Finally, the good catalytic activity of Ti-PA was illustrated by comparing it with currently reported catalysts.
