RESUMEN

Reducing recoil as well as reducing muzzle hazards are important issues in artillery design. This paper presents a barrel gas reflection method for the artillery aiming for efficient recoil reduction while reducing muzzle hazards. The launching process is modeled by coupling the interior ballistic equations and the flow equations of the barrel gas reflection device. The fourth-order Runge-Kutta method was used to solve the model, and the LHS method as well as the Kriging model was used to establish a mapping relationship between the parameters and the effect. To validate the proposed model, shooting experiments are carried out on a 30 mm caliber artillery. The maximum error between the experiment and simulation results was 5.32%. The experiment has demonstrated that the barrel gas reflection method increases the recoil reduction efficiency of artillery by 44.54% and reduces the muzzle hazard by 52.18%. Finally, the barrel gas reflection method can produce effects with the muzzle device at the same time, and it has little effect on the velocity of the projectile muzzle velocity, and it provides a new way of thinking for the development of future artillery recoil reduction technology.

RESUMEN

A novel multifunctional device based on a hybrid metal-graphene Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) metamaterial at the terahertz band is proposed. It is composed of a parallel cut wire pair (PCWP) that serves as a dark mode resonator, a vertical cut wire pair (VCWP) that serves as a bright mode resonator and a graphene ribbon that serves as a modulator. An ultra-broadband transmission window with 1.23 THz bandwidth can be obtained. The spectral extinction ratio can be tuned from 26% to 98% by changing the Fermi level of the graphene. Compared with previous work, our work has superior performance in the adjustable bandwidth of the transmission window without changing the structure of the dark and bright mode resonators, and has a high extinction ratio and dynamic adjustability. Besides, we present the specific application of the device in filters and optical modules. Therefore, we believe that such a metamaterial structure provides a new way to actively control EIT-like, which has promising applications in broadband optical filters and photoelectric intensity modulators in terahertz communications.

RESUMEN

Polarization Manipulation has been widely used and plays a key role in wave propagation and information processing. Here, we introduce a polarization rotator in the terahertz range with a polarization conversion ratio up to 99.98% at 4.51 terahertz. It has a single graphene layer on top of the structure patterned by 45° tilted space elliptical rings. By changing the Fermi level from 0.3 ev to 0.7 ev of the graphene, we can turn the reflective light polarization direction between 0° to 90°withnearly unique magnitude. Surface currents theories and graphene characteristics clarify the relationship between polarization angle and Fermi level to be a sine equation adjusted voltage. We firstly put forward an equation to thetunable graphene changing the reflective light polarization angle. It can be widely used in measurement, optic communication, and biology. Besides, with nearly the unique reflective light in different directions, the rotator is designed into a novel radially polarization converter. The latter can be switched from radially polarized light to linearly polarized light, and vice versa, in the terahertz region.
