RESUMEN

In 1928, Dirac proposed a wave equation to describe relativistic electrons1. Shortly afterwards, Klein solved a simple potential step problem for the Dirac equation and encountered an apparent paradox: the potential barrier becomes transparent when its height is larger than the electron energy. For massless particles, backscattering is completely forbidden in Klein tunnelling, leading to perfect transmission through any potential barrier2,3. The recent advent of condensed-matter systems with Dirac-like excitations, such as graphene and topological insulators, has opened up the possibility of observing Klein tunnelling experimentally4-6. In the surface states of topological insulators, fermions are bound by spin-momentum locking and are thus immune from backscattering, which is prohibited by time-reversal symmetry. Here we report the observation of perfect Andreev reflection in point-contact spectroscopy-a clear signature of Klein tunnelling and a manifestation of the underlying 'relativistic' physics of a proximity-induced superconducting state in a topological Kondo insulator. Our findings shed light on a previously overlooked aspect of topological superconductivity and can serve as the basis for a unique family of spintronic and superconducting devices, the interface transport phenomena of which are completely governed by their helical topological states.

The long charge carrier lifetime of the hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) is the key for their remarkable performance as a solar cell material. The microscopic mechanism for the long lifetime is still in debate. Here, by using a muon spin relaxation technique that probes the fluctuation of local magnetic fields, we show that the muon depolarization rate (Δ) of a prototype HOIP methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) shows a sharp decrease with increasing temperature in two steps above 120 K and 190 K across the structural transition from orthorhombic to tetragonal structure at 162 K. Our analysis shows that the reduction of Δ is quantitatively in agreement with the expected behavior due to the rapid development of methyl ammonium (MA) jumping rotation around the C 3 and C 4 symmetry axes. Our results provide direct evidence for the intimate relation between the rotation of the electric dipoles of MA molecules and the charge carrier lifetime in HOIPs.

RESUMEN

Real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with fluorescence detection is the gold standard for diagnosing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) However, the fluorescence detection in RT-PCR requires multiple amplification steps when the initial deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) concentration is low. Therefore, this study has developed a highly sensitive surface-enhanced Raman scattering-based PCR (SERS-PCR) assay platform using the gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-internalized gold nanodimpled substrate (AuNDS) plasmonic platform. By comparing different sizes of AuNPs, it is observed that using 30 nm AuNPs improves the detection limit by approximately ten times compared to 70 nm AuNPs. Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations show that multiple hotspots are formed between AuNPs and the cavity surface and between AuNPs when 30 nm AuNPs are internalized in the cavity, generating a strong electric field. With this 30 nm AuNPs-AuNDS SERS platform, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) ribonucleic acid (RNA)-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) can be detected in only six amplification cycles, significantly improving over the 25 cycles required for RT-PCR. These findings pave the way for an amplification-free molecular diagnostic system based on SERS.

In this article, we discuss the synthesis of eight novel zirconium and hafnium complexes containing amidoxime ligands as potential precursors for atomic layer deposition (ALD). Two amidoximes, viz., (E)-N'-hydroxy-N,N-dimethylacetimidamide (mdaoH) and (Z)-N'-hydroxy-N,N-dimethylpivalimidamide (tdaoH), along with their Zr and Hf homoleptic complexes, Zr(mdao)4 (1), Hf(mdao)4 (2), Zr(tdao)4 (3), and Hf(tdao)4 (4) were prepared. We further synthesized heteroleptic compounds with different physical properties by introducing cyclopentadienyl (Cp) ligand, namely, CpZr(mdao)3 (5), CpHf(mdao)3 (6), CpZr(tdao)3 (7), and CpHf(tdao)3 (8). Thermogravimetric analysis was used for the assessment of the evaporation characteristics of complexes 1, 2, 5, and 6, and it revealed multistep weight losses with high residues. On the other hand, the thermogravimetric analysis curves of complexes 3, 4, 7, and 8 comprising tdao ligands revealed single-step weight losses with moderate residues. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies of complexes 1, 3, and 7 showed that all of the complexes have monomeric molecular structures. Complex 7 exhibited a low melting point (75 °C), good volatility, and high thermal stability compared with other complexes. Therefore, an atomic layer deposition process for the growth of ZrO2 was developed by using ZrCp(tdao)3 (7) as a novel precursor.

BACKGROUND: Atlantodental subluxation (ADS) is a serious condition that can result in sudden death. Measuring the anterior atlantodental interval (AADI method) is the gold standard for diagnosis but the complex anatomy of this region can make diagnosis difficult, especially for beginners. Therefore, we would like to use a simpler method, the Swischuk line method, to diagnose ADS. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of the Swischuk line method for ADS on lateral cervical spine radiographs compared to the AADI method. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted with patients who presented with ADS (ADS group, n = 32, mean age 57.78 years, age range 34-82 years, 10 men, 21 women) and an age- and sex-matched control group (n = 32). The diagnostic performance of the AADI method and the Swischuk line method for ADS was assessed using lateral cervical radiographs in both flexion and neutral postures by an experienced musculoskeletal radiologist (reader 1), a senior resident (reader 2), and a junior resident (reader 3) in the radiologic department. RESULTS: In the flexion posture, the AADI method and the Swischuk line method showed excellent diagnostic performance with AUCs > 0.9 for readers 1 2 and reader 3. In a neutral posture, the diagnostic performance of the AADI and Swischuk line methods was decreased. With a 1 mm cut-off value using the Swischuk line method in flexion posture, the sensitivity was 75% or more, the specificity was 100%, and the accuracy was 87.50% or more 90.63% for all readers. With a 2 mm cut-off value, the sensitivity was low (37.50-46.88%) but the specificity was 100% for all three readers. In a neutral posture, the sensitivity for both methods decreased, though specificity remained high (> 80%). CONCLUSIONS: The Swischuk line method was found to be reliable and showed high sensitivity and specificity with a cut-off value of 1 mm for the diagnosis of ADS in cervical lateral radiographs in flexion posture. It can be used as a complement to the AADI method.

BACKGROUND: Posterior tibial slope (PTS) exhibits considerable variability among individuals and is anticipated to influence the accuracy of radiographic measurements related to the knee. Despite this potential impact, there is a lack of prior research investigating how PTS affects the accuracy of these measurements. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of PTS on the measurement reliability regarding the radiographic parameter of the knee. METHODS: The medical records of patients who took full-length anteroposterior radiographs of the lower limb between January 2020 and June 2022 were evaluated retrospectively. Radiographic parameters related to the knee joint characteristics such as osteoarthritis grade, hip-knee-ankle angle, weight-bearing line ratio, medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA), lateral distal femoral angle, joint-line convergence angle (JLCA), and PTS were measured. Subjects were classified into 3 groups according to PTS (group A, PTS < 4°; group B, PTS ≥ 4° and < 8°; group C, PTS ≥ 8°), and the measurement reliability for the radiographic variables was compared between groups. The intra- and inter-observer agreements were assessed using the kappa coefficients, intra-class correlation coefficients (ICC), and Bland-Altman plots. RESULTS: A total of 175 limbs (86 patients) were included in this study. As the intra- and inter-observer reliability for PTS ranged over 0.9, grouping was performed based on the average of the measured PTSs. The inter-observer reliability of the MPTA and JLCA decreased as the PTS increased (ICCs for MPTA in Groups A, B, and C: 0.889, 0.796, and 0.790, respectively; ICCs for JLCA in Groups A, B and C: 0.916, 0.859, and 0.843, respectively), whereas there were no remarkable differences in other variables. Similar trends were observed in the comparisons of intra-observer reliability and Bland-Altman plots also showed consistent results. CONCLUSION: The larger the PTS, the lower the measurement reliability regarding the radiographic parameters of the knee that includes the joint line, such as MPTA and JLCA. Given the occasional challenge in accurately identifying the knee joint line in patients with a relatively large PTS, careful measurement of radiographic parameters is crucial and utilizing repetitive measurements for verification may contribute to minimizing measurement errors.

RESUMEN

In this review, recent advances regarding the integration of machine learning into electrochemical analysis are overviewed, focusing on the strategies to increase the analytical context of electrochemical data for enhanced machine learning applications. While information-rich electrochemical data offer great potential for machine learning applications, limitations arise when sensors struggle to identify or quantitatively detect target substances in a complex matrix of non-target substances. Advanced machine learning techniques are crucial, but equally important is the development of methods to ensure that electrochemical systems can generate data with reasonable variations across different targets or the different concentrations of a single target. We discuss five strategies developed for building such electrochemical systems, employed in the steps of preparing sensing electrodes, recording signals, and analyzing data. In addition, we explore approaches for acquiring and augmenting the datasets used to train and validate machine learning models. Through these insights, we aim to inspire researchers to fully leverage the potential of machine learning in electroanalytical science.

Taekwondo has evolved from a traditional martial art into an official Olympic sport. This study introduces a novel action recognition model tailored for Taekwondo unit actions, utilizing joint-motion data acquired via wearable inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors. The utilization of IMU sensor-measured motion data facilitates the capture of the intricate and rapid movements characteristic of Taekwondo techniques. The model, underpinned by a conventional convolutional neural network (CNN)-based image classification framework, synthesizes action images to represent individual Taekwondo unit actions. These action images are generated by mapping joint-motion profiles onto the RGB color space, thus encapsulating the motion dynamics of a single unit action within a solitary image. To further refine the representation of rapid movements within these images, a time-warping technique was applied, adjusting motion profiles in relation to the velocity of the action. The effectiveness of the proposed model was assessed using a dataset compiled from 40 Taekwondo experts, yielding remarkable outcomes: an accuracy of 0.998, a precision of 0.983, a recall of 0.982, and an F1 score of 0.982. These results underscore this time-warping technique's contribution to enhancing feature representation, as well as the proposed method's scalability and effectiveness in recognizing Taekwondo unit actions.

The recent introduction of alkali metal halide catalysts for chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) has enabled remarkable two-dimensional (2D) growth. However, the process development and growth mechanism require further exploration to enhance the effects of salts and understand the principles. Herein, simultaneous predeposition of a metal source (MoO3 ) and salt (NaCl) by thermal evaporation is adopted. As a result, remarkable growth behaviors such as promoted 2D growth, easy patterning, and potential diversity of target materials can be achieved. Step-by-step spectroscopy combined with morphological analyses reveals a reaction path for MoS2 growth in which NaCl reacts separately with S and MoO3 to form Na2 SO4 and Na2 Mo2 O7 intermediates, respectively. These intermediates provide a favorable environment for 2D growth, including an enhanced source supply and liquid medium. Consequently, large grains of monolayer MoS2 are formed by self-assembly, indicating the merging of small equilateral triangular grains on the liquid intermediates. This study is expected to serve as an ideal reference for understanding the principles of salt catalysis and evolution of CVD in the preparation of 2D TMDs.

The precisely tailored refractive index of optical materials is the key to utilizing and manipulating light during its propagation through the matrix, thereby improving their application performances. In this paper, mesoporous metal fluoride films with engineered composition (MgF2 :LaF3 ) are demonstrated to achieve finely tunable refractive indices. These films are prepared using a precursor-derived one-step assembly approach via the simple mixing of precursor solutions (Mg(CF3 OO)2 and La(CF3 OO)3 ); then pores are formed simultaneously during solidification owing to the inherent instability of La(CF3 OO)3 . The mesoporous structures are realized through Mg(CF3 OO)2 and La(CF3 OO)3 ions, which interacted with each other based on their electrostatic forces, providing a wide range of refractive indices (from 1.37 to 1.16 at 633 nm). Furthermore, it is systematically several MgF2(1-x) -LaF3(x) layers with different compositions (x = 0.0, 0.3, and 0.5) to form the graded refractive index coating that is optically consecutive between the substrate and the air for broadband and omnidirectional antireflection. An average transmittance of ≈98.03% (400-1100 nm) is achieved with a peak transmittance of ≈99.04% (at 571 nm), and the average antireflectivity is maintained at ≈15.75% even at an incidence of light of 65° (400-850 nm).

OBJECTIVES: To identify clinical and genetic factors associated with severe radiographic damage in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). METHODS: We newly generated genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphism data (833K) for 444 patients with AS. The severity of radiographic damage was assessed using the modified Stoke Ankylosing Spondylitis Spinal Score (mSASSS). To identify clinical and genetic factors associated with severe radiographic damage, multiple linear regression analyses were performed. Human AS-osteoprogenitor and control-osteoprogenitor cells were used for functional validation. RESULTS: The significant clinical factors of final mSASSS were baseline mSASSS (ß=0.796, p=3.22×10-75), peripheral joint arthritis (ß=-0.246, p=6.85×10-6), uveitis (ß=0.157, p=1.95×10-3), and smoking (ß=0.130, p=2.72×10-2) after adjusting for sex, age and disease duration. After adjusting significant clinical factors, the Ryanodine receptor 3 (RYR3) gene was associated with severe radiographic damage (p=1.00×10-6). For pathway analysis, the PI3K-Akt signalling pathway was associated with severe radiographic damage in AS (p=2.21×10-4, false discovery rate=0.040). Treatment with rhodamine B, a ligand of RYR3, dose-dependently induced matrix mineralisation of AS osteoprogenitors. However, the rhodamine B-induced accelerated matrix mineralisation was not definitive in control osteoprogenitors. Knockdown of RYR3 inhibited matrix mineralisation in SaOS2 cell lines. CONCLUSIONS: This study identified clinical and genetic factors that contributed to better understanding of the pathogenesis and biology associated with radiographic damage in AS.

The ac conduction of epitaxially grown SmB_{6} thin films and superconducting heterostructures of SmB_{6}/YB_{6} are investigated via time-domain terahertz spectroscopy. A two-channel model of thickness-dependent bulk states and thickness-independent surface states accurately describes the measured conductance of bare SmB_{6} thin films, demonstrating the presence of surface states in SmB_{6}. While the observed reductions in the simultaneously measured superconducting gap, transition temperature, and superfluid density of SmB_{6}/YB_{6} heterostructures relative to bare YB_{6} indicate the penetration of proximity-induced superconductivity into the SmB_{6} overlayer; the corresponding SmB_{6}-thickness independence between different heterostructures indicates that the induced superconductivity is predominantly confined to the interface surface state of the SmB_{6}. This study demonstrates the ability of terahertz spectroscopy to probe proximity-induced superconductivity at an interface buried within a heterostructure, and our results show that SmB_{6} behaves as a predominantly insulating bulk surrounded by conducting surface states in both the normal and induced-superconducting states in both terahertz and dc responses, which is consistent with the topological Kondo insulator picture.

OBJECTIVES: High-contrast and high-resolution imaging techniques would enable real-time sensitive detection of the gastrointestinal lesions. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of novel dual fluorescence imaging using moxifloxacin and proflavine in the detection of neoplastic lesions of the human gastrointestinal tract. METHODS: Patients with the colonic and gastric neoplastic lesions were prospectively enrolled. The lesions were biopsied with forceps or endoscopically resected. Dual fluorescence imaging was performed by using custom axially swept wide-field fluorescence microscopy after topical moxifloxacin and proflavine instillation. Imaging results were compared with both confocal imaging with cell labeling and conventional histological examination. RESULTS: Ten colonic samples (one normal mucosa, nine adenomas) from eight patients and six gastric samples (one normal mucosa, five adenomas) from four patients were evaluated. Dual fluorescence imaging visualized detail cellular structures. Regular glandular structures with polarized cell arrangement were observed in normal mucosa. Goblet cells were preserved in normal colonic mucosa. Irregular glandular structures with scanty cytoplasm and dispersed elongated nuclei were observed in adenomas. Goblet cells were scarce or lost in the colonic lesions. Similarity analysis between moxifloxacin and proflavine imaging showed relatively high correlation values in adenoma compared with those in normal mucosa. Dual fluorescence imaging showed good detection accuracies of 82.3% and 86.0% in the colonic and the gastric lesions, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: High-contrast and high-resolution dual fluorescence imaging was feasible for obtaining detail histopathological information in the gastrointestinal neoplastic lesions. Further studies are needed to develop dual fluorescence imaging as an in vivo real-time visual diagnostic method.

Inflammatory myopathies, such as polymyositis and dermatomyositis, are systemic inflammatory disorders that affect skeletal muscles and internal organs. The treatment of inflammatory myopathies usually involves long-term use of high doses of steroids and/or immunosuppressants, making patients susceptible to opportunistic infections. Unfortunately, infections are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with inflammatory myopathies. Musculoskeletal nontuberculous mycobacterial infections are rare. Nontuberculous mycobacterial infections are easily overlooked owing to their rarity, leading to delayed diagnosis and treatment, indolent clinical course, and difficulty isolating the pathogen. Nontuberculous mycobacterial infections are a growing health concern because of their increasing incidence and the need for prolonged treatment. In patients with connective tissue diseases, immunosuppressant use may lead to an increased risk of nontuberculous mycobacterial infection with a poor prognosis, which highlights the need for early diagnosis and treatment. Herein, we report the case of a 59-year-old man diagnosed with dermatomyositis, who had prolonged use of immunosuppressants and developed a disseminated soft tissue infection in both thighs caused by Mycobacterium abscessus. Multimodal images were obtained using magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, and computed tomography. A strong suspicion of possible combined opportunistic infections and appropriate staining is essential in diagnosing nontuberculous mycobacterial myositis.

Aseptic abscess (AA) is a rare autoinflammatory disorder, characterized by the formation of sterile abscesses in various organs, and is accompanied by inflammatory bowel disease. Antibiotic treatment is ineffective, but steroid therapy shows a good response. AA can be difficult to differentiate from infection because abscesses appear similar both radiologically and histopathologically. Herein, we present the case of a 56-year-old woman with AA in the anterior chest wall and synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome.

Severe diarrhea was reported in goat kids in Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea, from 2021 to 2023, and Cryptosporidium infection was suspected. To confirm the cause of this outbreak, fecal samples were collected from goat farms where diarrhea had been reported and analyzed for Cryptosporidium infection using a molecular assay. A total of 65 fecal samples, including 37 from goats with diarrhea and 28 from goats without diarrhea, were collected from six goat farms. Forty-eight of the goats were kids (<2 months) and 17 were adults (>1 year). Cryptosporidium was identified in 53.8% (35/65) of total samples. Overall, 86.5% (32/37) of the diarrheic fecal samples tested positive; however, Cryptosporidium was not detected in any fecal sample from non-diarrheic adult goats. Therefore, cryptosporidiosis was significantly associated with diarrhea in goat kids, and adult goats were not responsible for transmission of Cryptosporidium to them. Phylogenetic analysis and molecular characterization revealed two Cryptosporidium species, namely, C. parvum (n = 28) and C. xiaoi (n = 7). In the C. parvum-positive samples, gp60 gene analysis revealed three zoonotic subtypes-IIaA18G3R1, IIdA15G1, and IIdA16G1. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to identify C. parvum IIaA18G3R1 and IIdA16G1 in goats, as well as the first to identify C. xiaoi in goats in Korea. These results suggest that goat kids play an important role as reservoir hosts for different Cryptosporidium species and that continuous monitoring with biosecurity measures is necessary to control cryptosporidiosis outbreaks.

PURPOSE: To investigate the surgical outcomes of arthroscopic pull-out repair for medial meniscus root tear (MMRT) combined with the marrow stimulation procedures (MSP) for accompanying high-grade cartilage lesions. METHODS: Patients who underwent arthroscopic pull-out repair for MMRT between 2010 and 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients who had at least 3 years of follow-up were included and classified into two groups according to whether MSP (microfracture or microdrilling) were performed on cartilage lesions in the medial tibiofemoral joint (group 1, patients with International Cartilage Repair Society [ICRS] grade 0-3a lesions and did not undergo MSP; group 2, patients with ICRS grade 3b-3d lesions and underwent MSP). Comparative analyses, including non-inferiority trials, were conducted between groups for subjective and objective outcomes. In addition, group 2 was further divided into two subgroups according to cartilage lesion size and compared with group 1 (group S, ≤ 2.0 cm2; group L, > 2.0 cm2). RESULTS: A total of 94 patients were included (group 1, 68 patients; group 2, 26 patients). There were no significant differences in clinical scores at postoperative 3 years and final follow-up between groups 1 and 2, but group 2 failed to satisfy the non-inferiority criteria compared to group 1 overall. In objective outcomes, group 2 did not meet the non-inferiority criteria for the rate of osteoarthritis progression compared to group 1, and it also showed a significantly higher proportion of high-grade osteoarthritis at final follow-up (P = 0.044) and a higher degree of osteoarthritis progression than group 1 (P = 0.03 for pre- to postoperative 3 years, and P = 0.006 for pre- to final follow-up). In additional evaluations comparing the subgroups of group 2 and group 1, group S showed relatively favourable results compared to group L in objective outcomes at final follow-up. CONCLUSION: Patients who underwent arthroscopic pull-out repair for MMRT combined with MSP for accompanying high-grade cartilage lesions showed suboptimal outcomes compared to those with no or low-grade lesions at mid-term follow-up. High-grade cartilage lesions ≤ 2.0 cm2 may be candidates for the surgical repair of MMRT if MSP are performed, but those with larger lesions may require alternative treatment strategies. Defect inspection is important to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in industrial manufacturing. Recently, machine vision systems integrating artificial intelligence (AI)-based inspection algorithms have exhibited promising performance in various applications, but practically, they often suffer from data imbalance. This paper proposes a defect inspection method using a one-class classification (OCC) model to deal with imbalanced datasets. A two-stream network architecture consisting of global and local feature extractor networks is presented, which can alleviate the representation collapse problem of OCC. By combining an object-oriented invariant feature vector with a training-data-oriented local feature vector, the proposed two-stream network model prevents the decision boundary from collapsing to the training dataset and obtains an appropriate decision boundary. The performance of the proposed model is demonstrated in the practical application of automotive-airbag bracket-welding defect inspection. The effects of the classification layer and two-stream network architecture on the overall inspection accuracy were clarified by using image samples collected in a controlled laboratory environment and from a production site. The results are compared with those of a previous classification model, demonstrating that the proposed model can improve the accuracy, precision, and F1 score by up to 8.19%, 10.74%, and 4.02%, respectively.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate multiacquisition with variable resonance image combination selective short tau inversion recovery (MAVRIC SL STIR) for metallic artifact reduction in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of postoperative cervical spine with artificial disk replacement. METHODS: A porcine cervical spine with artificial disk replacement was subject to 3 T MRI with variable fat-suppressed fluid-sensitive sequences. Five volunteers underwent MRI with MAVRIC SL STIR and STIR. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were performed for metallic artifact reduction. RESULTS: MAVRIC SL STIR showed the least signal void areas in the tissue phantom and volunteer study. In the tissue phantom study, MAVRIC SL STIR showed the best visualization of anatomic structure, least distortion, and signal pile-up. However, it ranked last for the homogeneity of fat suppression among sequences. In the volunteer study, MAVRIC SL STIR showed better visualization of anatomic structure and lesser distortion, but showed worse image quality of the spinal cord than STIR in the sagittal plane (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: MAVRIC SL STIR might be useful for visualization of anatomy by reduction of signal void areas and distortion in the operated site but should be used as a complement to STIR for evaluation of the spinal cord signal change.

RESUMEN

Graphene family nanomaterials have interesting electronic structures which determine their electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. Especially, their unique chemical properties enable interactions with biological substances and chemical reagents, and the interactions have further an influence on the observable properties of the graphene family nanomaterials. Such aspects render graphene family nanomaterials versatile for various types of biosensing as a target recognition unit and a recognition-to-signal transduction unit. In this chapter, we look over the recent progress on the graphene-based biosensors, which is categorized in terms of (1) the role of graphene family nanomaterials (target recognition, signal transduction), (2) the sensing mechanisms and modes (electrochemical, electrical, fluorescent, Raman scattering), and (3) the formats of sensing devices (paper, lab-on-a-chip, wearable devices).
