RESUMEN

Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a powerful analytical technique that has found application in the trace detection of a wide range of contaminants. In this paper, we report on the fabrication of 2D silver nanodendrites, on silicon chips, synthesized by electrochemical reduction of AgNO3at microelectrodes. The formation of nanodendrites is tentatively explained in terms of electromigration and diffusion of silver ions. Electrochemical characterization suggests that the nanodendrites do not stay electrically connected to the microelectrode. The substrates show SERS activity with an enhancement factor on the order of 106. Density functional theory simulations were carried out to investigate the suitability of the fabricated substrate for pesticide monitoring. These substrates can be functionalized with cyclodextrin macro molecules to help with the detection of molecules with low affinity with silver surfaces. A proof of concept is demonstrated with the detection of the herbicide 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA).

RESUMEN

Neurodevelopmental disorders in children have become a significant global public health concern, impacting child health worldwide. In China, the current intervention model for high-risk infants involves early diagnosis and early treatment. However, in recent years, overseas studies have explored novel preventive early intervention strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders in high-risk infants, achieving promising results. This article provides a comprehensive review of the optimal timing, methods, and intervention models of the preventive early intervention strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders in high-risk infants. The aim is to enhance the awareness and knowledge of healthcare professionals regarding preventive early intervention strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders in high-risk infants, facilitate clinical research and application of such interventions in China, and ultimately reduce the incidence of neurodevelopmental disorders in this high-risk population.

To investigate the flow characteristics in front chamber and rear chamber in pump mode and pump as turbine mode, a 3D computational model of a centrifugal pump was established, including the front and rear chamber. Based on Realizable k-ε turbulence model, numerical calculations of incompressible flow were carried out for internal viscous flow in two operating modes. Further analysis was conducted on the flow stability and hydraulic losses under two modes using energy gradient theory and entropy production theory. The numerical simulation results are within reasonable error compared to the experimental results in pump operation mode, which ensures the reliability of the numerical calculation method. The results indicate that the volumetric efficiency in both two modes is on an upward trend with increasing flow, but the volumetric efficiency of the pump mode is more significantly affected by changes in flow; the distribution patterns of dimensionless circumferential velocity and dimensionless radial velocity in the front and rear chambers under two operating modes are similar, but the distribution pattern of dimensionless radial velocity in the front chamber in turbine mode is significantly different from other operating conditions; flow instability is most likely to occur at the outlet of impeller, and the energy loss in clearance of wear-rings is greater than that in the pump chamber.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to establish a nomogram using routinely available clinicopathological parameters to predict the pathological response in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC) undergoing neoadjuvant treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We conducted this study based on the ongoing Neo-CRAG trial, a prospective study focused on preoperative treatment in patients with LAGC. A total of 221 patients who underwent surgery following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (nCT) or neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center between June 2013 and July 2022 were included in the analysis. We defined complete or near-complete pathological regression and ypN0 as good response (GR), and determined the prognostic value of GR by Kaplan-Meier survival analysis. Eventually, a nomogram for predicting GR was developed based on statistically identified predictors through multivariate logistic regression analysis and internally validated by the bootstrap method. RESULTS: GR was confirmed in 54 patients (54/221, 24.4%). Patients who achieved GR had a longer progression-free survival and overall survival. Then, five independent factors, including pretreatment tumor differentiation, clinical T stage, monocyte count, CA724 level, and the use of nCRT, were identified. Based on these predictors, the nomogram was established with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.777 (95% CI, 0.705-0.850) and a bias-corrected AUC of 0.752. CONCLUSION: A good pathological response after neoadjuvant treatment was associated with an improved prognosis in LAGC patients. The nomogram we established exhibits a high predictive capability for GR, offering potential value in devising personalized and precise treatment strategies for LAGC patients.

The last decades have witnessed a rapid development of noninvasive plant phenotyping, capable of detecting plant stress scale levels from the subcellular to the whole population scale. However, even with such a broad range, most phenotyping objects are often just concerned with leaves. This review offers a unique perspective of noninvasive plant stress phenotyping from a multi-organ view. First, plant sensing and responding to abiotic stress from the diverse vegetative organs (leaves, stems, and roots) and the interplays between these vital components are analyzed. Then, the corresponding noninvasive optical phenotyping techniques are also provided, which can prompt the practical implementation of appropriate noninvasive phenotyping techniques for each organ. Furthermore, we explore methods for analyzing compound stress situations, as field conditions frequently encompass multiple abiotic stressors. Thus, our work goes beyond the conventional approach of focusing solely on individual plant organs. The novel insights of the multi-organ, noninvasive phenotyping study provide a reference for testing hypotheses concerning the intricate dynamics of plant stress responses, as well as the potential interactive effects among various stressors.

Background: Approximately 10%-30% of patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) experience relapse or refractory (R/R) disease after first-line standard therapy. Brentuximab vedotin (BV) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have important roles in the salvage treatment of R/R HL. However, subsequent treatment for HL refractory to BV and/or ICI treatment is challenging. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed patients in two institutions who had R/R HL, experienced BV or ICI treatment failure, and received radiotherapy (RT) thereafter. The overall response rate (ORR), duration of response (DOR), progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. Results: Overall, 19 patients were enrolled. First-line systemic therapy comprised doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD, 84.2%); AVD plus ICIs (10.5%); and bleomycin, etoposide, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, procarbazine, and prednisone (BEACOPP, 5.3%). After first-line therapy, 15 (78.9%) and four patients (21.1%) had refractory disease and relapsed, respectively. After R/R HL diagnosis, six (31.6%), two (10.5%), and 11 (57.9%) patients received BV and ICIs concurrently, BV monotherapy, and ICI monotherapy, respectively. All patients received intensity-modulated RT (n = 12, 63.2%) or volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT; n = 7, 36.8%). The ORR as well as the complete response (CR) rate was 100%; the median DOR to RT was 17.2 months (range, 7.9-46.7 months). Two patients showed progression outside the radiation field; one patient had extensive in-field, out-of-field, nodal, and extranodal relapse. With a median follow-up time of 16.2 months (range, 9.2-23.2 months), the 1-year PFS and OS were 84.4% and 100%, respectively. PFS was associated with extranodal involvement (P = 0.019) and gross tumor volume (P = 0.044). All patients tolerated RT well without adverse events of grade ≥ 3. Conclusion: RT is effective and safe for treating HL refractory to BV or ICIs and has the potential to be part of a comprehensive strategy for HL.

RESUMEN

Ferroptosis is a unique mode of iron-dependent cell death driven by lipid peroxidation. It is characterized by morphological changes in mitochondria, including densification of mitochondrial membranes and associated reduction in the volume, rupture of outer membranes and reduction or disappearance of the mitochondrial crest, which is different from that of apoptosis, autophagy and pyroptosis. Mitochondria, as the core of cell metabolism, are important organelles for iron metabolism, lipid metabolism and energy metabolism. However, it remains controversial debates as how mitochondria participate in ferroptosis and the underlying mechanisms during its progression. This review summaries the current understanding of the occurrence and defense mechanisms of ferroptosis, and the role of mitochondria in promoting and inhibiting ferroptosis, which includes the tricarboxylic acid cycle and glycolysis, reactive oxygen species, and lipid metabolism in mitochondria and their roles in driving ferroptosis. Moreover, we also summarize the defense mechanisms against ferroptosis through detoxification of mitochondrial lipid peroxidation by mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase, as well as mitochondrial ferritin. Other mitochondrial molecules and their regulation of ferroptosis is stated at the end. This paper reviews the latest research progress of mitochondria in the process of ferroptosis, which aims to further understand the function of mitochondria in ferroptosis and its mechanism in the occurrence and development of ferroptosis, and therefore provides a theoretical foundation for the basic research of cell biology and strategies for investigation of clinical diseases.

OBJECTIVES@#To study the efficacy and safety of repeated application of rituximab (RTX) at a low dose (200 mg/m2) versus the recommended dose (375 mg/m2) for remission maintenance in frequently relapsing nephrotic syndrome (FRNS) or steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome (SDNS).@*METHODS@#A randomized controlled trial was conducted for 29 children with FRNS/SDNS who received systemic treatment in the Department of Nephrology, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital, from September 2020 to December 2021. These children were divided into a recommended dose group (n=14) and a low dose group (n=15) using a random number table. The two groups were compared in terms of general characteristics, changes in CD19 expression after RTX treatment, number of relapses, glucocorticoid dose, adverse reactions of RTX, and hospital costs.@*RESULTS@#After RTX treatment, both the low dose group and the recommended dose group achieved B-lymphocyte depletion and had significant reductions in the number of relapses and glucocorticoid dose (P<0.05). The low dose group had a comparable clinical effect to the recommended dose group after RTX treatment (P>0.05), and the low dose group had a significant reduction in hospital costs for the second, third, and fourth times of hospitalization (P<0.05). There were no serious adverse reactions in either group during RTX treatment and late follow-up, and there was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#Repeated RTX treatment at a low dose has comparable clinical efficacy and safety to that at the recommended dose and can significantly reduce the number of FRNS/SDNS relapses and the amount of glucocorticoids used, with little adverse effect throughout the treatment cycle. Therefore, it holds promise for clinical application.

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the clinical effect and mechanism of hemoperfusion (HP) in the treatment of children with severe abdominal Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>A total of 24 children with severe abdominal HSP were divided into two groups: conventional treatment and HP (n=12 each). Ten healthy children who underwent physical examination were enrolled as the control group. Before and after treatment, chemiluminescence was used to measure the serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α); thiobarbituric acid colorimetry was used to measure the plasma level of malondialdehyde (MDA); the hydroxylamine method was used to measure the plasma level of superoxide dismutase (SOD); chemical colorimetry was used to measure the plasma level of total anti-oxidant capability (T-AOC).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Compared with the control group, the conventional treatment and HP groups had significantly higher IL-6, TNF-α, and MDA levels and significantly lower SOD and T-AOC levels before treatment (P<0.05), but there were no significant differences between the conventional treatment and HP groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the conventional treatment and HP groups had significant reductions in IL-6, TNF-α, and MDA levels and significant increases in SOD and T-AOC levels (P<0.05). The HP group had significantly greater changes than the conventional treatment group; however, there were still significant differences in these indices between the HP and control groups (P<0.05). Compared with the HP group, the conventional treatment group had a significantly lower percentage of children with disappearance of digestive tract symptoms at 4 days after treatment and significantly longer time to disappearance of rash and digestive tract symptoms (P<0.05). Compared with the conventional treatment group, the HP group had a significantly lower amount of glucocorticoid used during treatment and a significantly lower percentage of children who experienced hematuria and/or proteinuria within 6 months of the disease course (P<0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in length of hospital stay and recurrence rates of rash and abdominal pain within 6 months of the disease course.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>HP can reduce the amount of glucocorticoid used during treatment and the incidence rate of kidney injury in children with severe abdominal HSP, possibly by eliminating IL-6, TNF-α, and MDA.</p>

Objective To confirm the species of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (MRAB)strains collected from our hospital by specific PCR amplification,and further investigate their distribution,antibiotic resistance and molecular classification characteristics.Methods We collected 47 MRAB clinical strains which had been identified by VITEK-2 system,followed by species confirmation using specific primers sp2F,sp4F and sp4R through PCR amplification.Antibiotic resistance characteristics were detected using VITEK-2 system.And the homology of MRAB isolates was analyzed using multilocus sequence typing (MLST).Results We confirmed 46 out of 47 strains as A .baumannii .All of them were multidrug-resistant strains,and the majority of them were found in sputum samples from patients in intensive care units (ICUs).MLST analysis found 4 ST types,namely ST195,ST218,ST368 and ST208.The last two types had the closest genetic relationship.Conclusion SpecificPCR amplification is a rapid and accurate method to identify A .baumannii .The MRAB strains in our hospital are mainly distributed in ICUs and are susceptible to only a few antibiotics such as tigecycline.

<p><b>BACKGROUND</b>Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) improves the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Moreover, the complement system is a powerful immune effector that can affect liver function and process of liver cirrhosis. However, studies correlating the complement system with tacrolimus metabolism after OLT are scarce. In this study, the role of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with the sixth complement component (C6) in tacrolimus metabolism was investigated during the early stages of liver transplantation.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The study enrolled 135 adult patients treated with OLT for HCC between August 2011 and October 2013. Ten SNPs in C6 gene and rs776746 in cytochrome P450 3A5 (CYP3A5) gene were investigated. The tacrolimus levels were monitored daily during 4 weeks after transplantation.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Both donor and recipient CYP3A5 rs776746 allele A were correlated with decreased concentration/dose (C/D) ratios. Recipient C6 rs9200 allele G and donor C6 rs10052999 homozygotes were correlated with lower C/D ratios. Recipient CYP3A5 rs776746 allele A (yielded median tacrolimus C/D ratios of 225.90 at week 1 and 123.61 at week 2), C6 rs9200 allele G (exhibited median tacrolimus C/D ratios of 211.31 at week 1, 110.23 at week 2, and 99.88 at week 3), and donor CYP3A5 rs776746 allele A (exhibited median C/D ratios of 210.82 at week 1, 111.06 at week 2, 77.49 at week 3, and 85.60 at week 4) and C6 rs10052999 homozygote (exhibited median C/D ratios of 167.59 at week 2, 157.99 at week 3, and 155.36 at week 4) were associated with rapid tacrolimus metabolism. With increasing number of these alleles, patients were found to have lower tacrolimus C/D ratios at various time points during the 4 weeks after transplantation. In multiple linear regression analysis, recipient C6 rs9200 group (AA vs. GG/GA) was found to be related to tacrolimus metabolism at weeks 1, 2, and 3 (P = 0.005, P = 0.045, and P = 0.033, respectively), whereas donor C6 rs10052999 group (CC/TT vs. TC) was demonstrated to be correlated with tacrolimus metabolism only at week 4 (P = 0.001).</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Recipient C6 gene rs9200 polymorphism and donor C6 gene rs10052999 polymorphism are new genetic loci that affect tacrolimus metabolism in patients with HCC after OLT.</p>

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>A prospective study was conducted to probe into the relationship between arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) and brain injury during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in infants with cyanotic congenital heart disease (CHD).</p><p><b>METHOD</b>Enrolled in the study were 45 cyanotic infants, who were less than three years old and underwent corrective cardiac surgery from August 1(st), 2010 to January 31(st), 2011 at Guangdong General Hospital. All the infants had a pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) lower than 85% and were randomly allocated into three groups by a specific computer program. In controlled group 1 (G1 group), PaO2 levels were controlled at 80 - 120 mm Hg (1 mm Hg = 0.133 kPa) during CPB; in controlled group 2 (G2 group), PaO2 levels at 120 - 200 mm Hg during CPB; while in uncontrolled group (G3 group), PaO2 levels were at 200 - 400 mm Hg during CPB. Blood samples were collected just before starting CPB, at the end of CPB, and at 3 h, 5 h, and 24 h after CPB (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5) for the determination of serum concentrations of protein S100β, neuron specific enolase (NSE), and adrenomedullin (ADM) by ELISA.</p><p><b>RESULT</b>Protein S100β rose significantly after starting CPB. In group G3, it reached a peak of (699 ± 139) ng/L by the end of CPB, significantly higher than those in groups G1 and G2 [(528 ± 163) ng/L and (585 ± 155) ng/L], and was positively correlated with PaO2 levels (r = 0.526, P < 0.01). NSE levels of group G1 were continuously rising after starting CPB and reached significantly high levels at 3 h or 5 h after CPB [(12.2 ± 3.4) µg/L and (12.3 ± 3.7) µg/L], while those of group G2 rose significantly during CPB [(10.9 ± 4.8) µg/L] and even higher at 3 h or 5 h after CPB [(12.6 ± 5.1) µg/L and (13.2 ± 5.4) µg/L]. NSE levels of group G3 rose significantly during CPB and maintained at a high level [(12.2 ± 5.7) µg/L] afterwards. There was no significant difference in serum ADM concentrations among different time points in each group and among these three groups. All the infants were discharged from the hospital without any obvious nervous symptom and sign.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>High PaO2 during CPB in infants with CHD might cause an increase of serum protein S100β and NSE, indicating that brain injury might become worse with a higher PaO2 and might be positively correlated with PaO2 during CPB.</p>

<p><b>BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE</b>Hypopharyngeal carcinoma has a high risk for early regional lymphatic dissemination. However, reports about regional lymph node metastases, especially retropharyngeal lymph node metastases, are rare. This research explored the spread of hypopharyngeal carcinoma, especially metastases of the retropharyngeal lymph nodes by studying computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The CT/MRI images of 88 patients with pathologically confirmed hypopharyngeal carcinomas that were performed at our hospital between August 2000 and March 2009 were analyzed retrospectively. The interrelations among local stage and lymph nodes in various regions were analyzed by Chi2 test and multivariate logistical regression.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The rate of regional lymph node metastasis for all patients was 73.9%, and the highest rates of positive lymph nodes were at levels IIa (61.4%), IIb (44.3%), and III (37.5%). Metastases to levels I, IV, V, and VI were rare, as were retropharyngeal lymph-node metastases, which were always combined with metastases at levels II and III. Univariate analysis showed that level-IV metastases correlated to metastases at levels Ib and III; retropharyngeal lymph node metastases were correlated to level IIb and bilateral cervical lymph node metastases. Multivariate analysis showed that level-VI metastases correlated to level IV and that retropharyngeal lymph-node metastases correlated to bilateral cervical lymph node metastases.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Regional lymph node metastases in patients with hypopharyngeal carcinoma follow some regulations, and skip metastasis is rare. The highest rates of positive lymph nodes are at levels II and III. Bilateral lymph node metastases may be a risk factor for retropharyngeal lymph node metastases.</p>

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the imaging features, clinical manifestations and pathological characteristics of solitary fibrous tumors (SFT).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The clinicopathological manifestations and medical imaging findings were analyzed retrospectively in 27 patients with surgically confirmed SFT.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The SFTs originated from different parts of the body, including 18 in the chest, 4 in the abdomen, 1 in the lumboscral area, 3 in the pelvis, and 1 in the left shoulder. Twenty-three cases were found by CT scan, among which there were 16 benign diseases, presented with well-defined round or elliptic margins, with homogeneous attenuation and clearly surrounding; 6 malignant cases with unclear demarcations, invasive surrounding, heterogeneous attenuation due to calcification and/or irregular necrosis, and 1 junctional case with well-defined margins, which was enlarged during follow-up. There were 4 SFTs scanned by MRI with clear margin and homogeneous or heterogeneous signal intensity. All of the 4 cases were isointense or hyperintense to muscle on T1-weighted images, and were hyperintense on the T2-weighted images. All tumors showed heterogeneously intense enhancement with geographic pattern. Immunohistochemical staining showed that CD34-positive was 81.5%, vimentin (100.0%), CD99 (100.0%) and bcl-2 (96.3%), as well as negative CK (100.0%) and S-100 (96.3%).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The location of SFT is varying. Though its clinical manifestations vary, the diagnosis is depended on pathology and immunohistochemistry. There are certain specific features related to SFTs on CT or MRI. These imaging techniques may serve to provide helpful information as to the location and vicinal anatomic structure of the tumor, which is of substantial importance for planning surgery.</p>

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in the diagnosis of patients with breast diseases.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Fifty-three consecutive patients were scanned with GE signa HDx 1.5 T magnetic resonance system equipped with 8-channel breast coil. DWI was scanned by SE-EPI sequence in b values of 500 s/mm(2) and 800 s/mm(2), respectively. The apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC) of these lesions were measured. The mean apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC) of these lesions were calculated in b values of 500 s/mm(2) and 800 s/mm(2), respectively. These lesions' ADC value (rADC) was counted respectively and the result of the rADC was equal to the lesion's ADC divided by the ADC of the ipsilateral normal breast tissue. Threshold of ADC and rADC for differential diagnosis was acquired by ROC (receiver operating characteristic curve) analysis. Different imaging technologies were evaluated emphasizing their sensitivity, specificity and accuracy.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Sixty-six lesions of 53 cases were confirmed by pathology, including 39 malignant lesions and 27 benign lesions. (1) b = 500 s/mm(2), the threshold of ADC value was 1.435 x 10(-3) mm(2)/s, with a sensitivity of 82.1% and a specificity of 81.5%. The threshold of rADC value was 0.62, with a sensitivity of 76.9% and a specificity of 100%. (2) b = 800 s/mm(2), the threshold of ADC value was 1.295 x 10(-3) mm(2)/s, with a sensitivity of 79.5% and a specificity of 81.5%. The threshold of rADC value was 0.71, with a sensitivity of 89.7% and specificity of 88.9%. (3) The area under the ROC curve was increased for the four diagnostic indicators (ADC(500), ADC(800), rADC(500), rADC(800)).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>DWI spends short time, and it doesn't need contrast material. ADC value and rADC value have a high sensitivity and specificity as a diagnostic indicator. DWI is helpful in improving the specificity of MR and may become one of valuable conventional procedures for breast tumor diagnosis.</p>

RESUMEN

Objective To evaluate diagnosis and preoperative management of cases with interrupted aortic arch(IAA)in infancy.Methods Fifty-three infants who were admitted to our hospital from Jan.2001 to Nov.2007 were involved.Clinical data,findings of echocardiogram(Echo),spiral CT,MRI,angiocardiography,preoperative management,surgical repair and postoperative outcome were analyzed retrospectively.Results There were 38 boys and 15 girls,weighted 2.18-10.0(4.32?1.60)kg,aged 1 day to 12(3.05?3.53)months,of which 50.94% were neonates.Symptoms at presentation were 90.57% with tachypnea and 83.02% with difficulty in feeding.Eighty three point zero two percentage cases had different degree of congestive heart failure,37.74% of which were in grade Ⅲ heart function.All cases had weakened femoral pulse.All cases were performed Echo,38 cases of them diagnosed as IAA,6 cases as IAA or severe coarctation of aorta(CoA);they were diagnosed as IAA by CT,and 9 as severe CoA who were diagnosed as IAA via CT or operation.Thirty-three cases were performed CT,of which 15 underwent surgical repair,cardiovascular abnormalities revealed by CT were the same as those in surgical findings.Three cases were taken MRI,and 7 cases were performed angiocardiography.According to the results of Echo,CT,MRI,angiocardiography and surgical findings,35 cases were type A,15 cases were type B and 3 cases were type C.Preoperative treatment included maintaining patent ductus areriosis,management of heart failure and supportive treatment.After proper preoperative management of medication,most cases with congestive heart failure were improved.Twenty-six cases underwent surgical repair,16 survived,10 died du-ring perioperative stage.Main cause of death was severe low cardiac output.Conclusions Value of Echo in diagnosis of IAA is limi-ted.Combination of Echo with CT or MRI is a convenient and safe way to diagnose IAA,it can replace the traditional method of Echo combined with angiocardiography.Proper preoperative management is helpful to patients with IAA to pass to surgical repair,and makes for successful operation.
