ABSTRACT

Seed oil not only provides energy for seed postgermination development but also provides essential nutrients and raw materials for human products. However, the transcriptional regulatory mechanism controlling seed oil accumulation remains largely unknown. Tree peony (Paeonia rockii) is an emerging woody oilseed crop in China that is known for its high-quality seed oil. Here, we revealed that a tree peony nuclear factor Y transcription factor, PrNF-YC2, is expressed predominantly in developing seeds and functions as an essential positive regulator of seed oil accumulation. PrNF-YC2 promoted oil accumulation in both transient ectopic overexpression Nicotiana benthamiana leaves and stable transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana seeds, globally upregulating the expression of genes involved in oil accumulation. In contrast, PrNF-YC2-silenced tree peony leaves using a virus-induced gene silencing system showed reduced oil content and expression of oil synthesis-related genes, including four master positive regulators contributing to oil accumulation, namely, LEAFY COTYLEDON1 (LEC1), ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE3 (ABI3), FUSCA3 (FUS3), and WRINKLED1 (WRI1). We demonstrated that PrNF-YC2 directly activates PrLEC1 and PrABI3 alone and indirectly activates PrFUS3 and PrWRI1 by interacting with PrLEC1. Moreover, interaction with PrLEC1 also enhances the activation capacity of PrNF-YC2. The activation of these four master positive regulators by PrNF-YC2 triggered the upregulation of numerous oil synthesis-related genes, thus promoting oil accumulation. These findings provide new insights into the regulatory mechanism of seed oil accumulation and manipulation of PrNF-YC2 may be beneficial for enhancing oil yield in tree peony and other oilseed crops.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: WRINKLED1 (WRI1) encodes a transcription factor, belonging to the APETALA2 (AP2) family, and plays a key role in regulating plant oil biosynthesis. As a newly woody oil crop, tree peony (Paeonia rockii) was notable for the abundant unsaturated fatty acids in its seed oil. However, the role of WRI1 during the accumulation of P. rockii seeds oil remains largely unknown. RESULTS: In this study, a new member of the WRI1 family was isolated from P. rockii and was named PrWRI1. The ORF of PrWRI1 consisted of 1269 nucleotides, encoding a putative protein of 422 amino acids, and was highly expressed in immature seeds. Subcellular localization analysis in onion inner epidermal cells showed that PrWRI1 was located at the nucleolus. Ectopic overexpression of PrWRI1 could significantly increase the total fatty acid content in Nicotiana benthamiana leaf tissue and even PUFAs in transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana seeds. Furthermore, the transcript levels of most genes related to fatty acids (FA) synthesis and triacylglycerol (TAG) assembly were also up-regulated in transgenic Arabidopsis seeds. CONCLUSIONS: Together, PrWRI1 could push carbon flow to FA biosynthesis and further enhance the TAG amount in seeds with a high proportion of PUFAs.

ABSTRACT

The location of the grounding grid conductors is critical for performing corrosion diagnosis and maintenance work. An improved magnetic field differential method to locate the unknown grounding grid based on truncation errors and the round-off errors analysis is presented in this paper. It was proven that a different order of the magnetic field derivative can be used to determine the position of the grounding conductor according to the peak value of the derivative. Due to the accumulative error of higher differentiation, the truncation error and rounding error were used to analyze to accumulative error and to determine the optimal step size to measure and calculate the higher differentiation. The possible range and probability distribution of the two kinds of errors at each order are described, and the index of peak position error was derived, which can be used to locate the grounding conductor in the power substation.

ABSTRACT

By combining angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscope based piezoresponse force microscopy and first-principles calculations, we have studied the low-energy band structure, atomic structure, and charge polarization on the surface of a topological semimetal candidate TaNiTe_{5}. Dirac-like surface states were observed on the (010) surface by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, consistent with the first-principles calculations. On the other hand, piezoresponse force microscopy reveals a switchable ferroelectriclike polarization on the same surface. We propose that the noncentrosymmetric surface relaxation observed by scanning tunneling microscopy could be the origin of the observed ferroelectriclike state in this novel material. Our findings provide a new platform with the coexistence of a ferroelectriclike surface charge distribution and novel surface states.

ABSTRACT

Two-dimensional nanomaterials are attracting attention for cancer therapy. However, high toxicity, insensitivity to external stimuli and single therapeutic modality are still key issues hindering their clinical application. Therefore, the construction of a safe, intelligent and versatile nanocomposite is needed to meet clinical expectations. Herein, we developed a nanocomposite of Bi@RP-PEG-DOX with 2D bismuthene loaded with 0D red phosphorus quantum dots and DOX. The nanocomposite with DOX loading capacity (ca. 250 %) and photothermal conversion efficiency (ca. 54 %) showed both photothermal and photodynamic effects and a sensitive response of drug release to the acidic tumor microenvironment or NIR II laser irradiation. The nanocomposite exhibits good biosafety. Through the X-ray attenuation properties of bismuth, the nanocomposite serves as an excellent CT contrast agent, providing potential to perform CT-guided therapy.

ABSTRACT

Lytic replication of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is not only essential for its cell-to-cell spread and host-to-host transmission, but it also contributes to EBV-induced oncogenesis. Thus, blocking EBV lytic replication could be a strategy for managing EBV-associated diseases. Previously, we identified a series of natural lignans isolated from the roots of Saururus chinensis (Asian lizard's tail) that efficiently block EBV lytic replication and virion production with low cytotoxicity. In this study, we attempted to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which these lignans inhibit EBV lytic replication. We found that a representative compound, CSC27 (manassantin B), inhibits EBV lytic replication by suppressing the expression of EBV immediate-early gene BZLF1 via disruption of AP-1 signal transduction. Further analysis revealed that manassantin B specifically blocks the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2 (mTORC2)-mediated phosphorylation of AKT Ser/Thr protein kinase at Ser-473 and protein kinase Cα (PKCα) at Ser-657. Using phosphoinositide 3-kinase-AKT-specific inhibitors for kinase mapping and shRNA-mediated gene silencing, we validated that manassantin B abrogates EBV lytic replication by inhibiting mTORC2 activity and thereby blocking the mTORC2-PKC/AKT-signaling pathway. These results suggest that mTORC2 may have utility as an antiviral drug target against EBV infections and also reveal that manassantin B has potential therapeutic value for managing cancers that depend on mTORC2 signaling for survival.

ABSTRACT

To systemically evaluate the effect of Qishen Yiqi Dripping Pills combined with Western medicine on adverse cardiovascular events and quality of life after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). A total of 7 Chinese and English databases including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library and Web of Science were searched by computer to collect the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) on Qishen Yiqi Dripping Pills combined with Western medicine in the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease after PCI with the retrieval time from the database establishment to April 1, 2020. Two researchers independently conducted li-terature screening, data extraction and bias risk assessment. Then, Meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software. A total of 31 RCTs were included, involving 3 537 patients. The results of Meta-analysis showed that in terms of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE) after PCI, the combination of Qishen Yiqi Dripping Pills could significantly reduce the recurrence of angina pectoris, incidence of arrhythmia, heart failure and re-revascularization, and the effect was better than that of Western medicine treatment alone. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of non-fatal myocardial infarction, cardiac death, stent restenosis, stroke and other adverse cardiovascular events. In terms of improving left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), 6 min walking test(6 MWT), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and Seattle angina pectoris scale(SAQ), the combination of Qishen Yiqi Dripping Pills and Western medicine treatment had obvious advantages over Western medicine treatment alone in increasing LVEF, 6 MWT and SAQ, and reducing the level of hs-CRP, with statistically significant differences. There were few adverse reactions in both groups, and there was no significant difference between the two groups. The main manifestations were gastrointestinal reactions, rash, gingiva and other small bleeding, and no serious adverse reactions occurred. The above reactions could disappear after drug withdrawal or symptomatic treatment. The application of Qishen Yiqi Dripping Pills combined with Western medicine in the treatment of patients after PCI could reduce the occurrence of MACE, improve the clinical efficacy, quality of life and prognosis in a safe and reliable manner. However, due to the quantity and quality limitations of included studies, more standardized, rigo-rous and high-quality clinical studies are still needed to further verify the above conclusions.

ABSTRACT

Tree peony (Paeonia section Moutan DC.) species are woody oil crops with high unsaturated fatty acid content, including α-linolenic acid (ALA/18:3; >40% of the total fatty acid). Comparative transcriptome analyses were carried out to uncover the underlying mechanisms responsible for high and low ALA content in the developing seeds of P. rockii and P. lutea, respectively. Expression analysis of acyl lipid metabolism genes revealed upregulation of select genes involved in plastidial fatty acid synthesis, acyl editing, desaturation, and triacylglycerol assembly in seeds of P. rockii relative to P. lutea. Also, in association with ALA content in seeds, transcript levels for fatty acid desaturases (SAD, FAD2, and FAD3), which encode enzymes necessary for polyunsaturated fatty acid synthesis, were higher in P. rockii compared to P. lutea. Furthermore, the overexpression of PrFAD2 and PrFAD3 in Arabidopsis increased linoleic and ALA content, respectively, and modulated the final ratio 18:2/18:3 in the seed oil. In conclusion, we identified the key steps and validated the necessary desaturases that contribute to efficient ALA synthesis in a woody oil crop. Together, these results will aid to increase essential fatty acid content in seeds of tree peonies and other crops of agronomic interest.

ABSTRACT

The inverse problem of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is seriously ill-posed, which restricts the clinical application of EIT. Regularization is an important numerical method to improve the stability of the EIT inverse problem as well as the resolution of the imaging. This paper proposes a self-diagnosis regularization method based on Tikhonov regularization and diagonal weight regularization method (DWRM). Firstly, the ill-posedness of the inverse problem is analyzed by sensitivity. Then, the performance of the self-diagnosis regularization is analyzed through the singular value theory. Finally, some simulated experiments including simulations and flume experiment are carried out and verify that the self-diagnosis regularization has better image quality and anti-noise ability than those of traditional regularization methods. The self-diagnosis regularization method weakens the ill-posedness of inverse problem of EIT and can prompt the practical application of EIT.

ABSTRACT

(+)-Rutamarin inhibits EBV lytic DNA replication with an IC50 of 7.0 µM. (-)-Chalepin, a (-)-rutamarin derivative, was isolated from the whole plant of Ruta graveolens and used as a precursor of (-)-rutamarin. Altogether, 28 (-)-rutamarin derivatives were synthesized starting from (-)-chalepin. Of these, 16 compounds (2a-e, 3b-e, 3g, 4f, 4k, 4m-p) were found to be more potent against EBV lytic DNA replication than (-)-chalepin. Compounds 4m, 4n, and 4p exhibited IC50 values of 1.5, 0.32, and 0.83 µM and showed selectivity index values (SI) of 801, 211, and >120, respectively. Thus, compounds 4m, 4n, and 4p are considered promising leads for further laboratory investigation.

ABSTRACT

The primary goal of national parks is to protect ecological environment, but also with the functions of scientific research, education, and recreation. Aiming for the realization of universal sharing, we used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to construct an ecotourism suitability evaluation system by selecting four factors, including landscape resources, ecological environment carrying capacity, recreation utilization capacity and social condition, taking Xiaoxiangling area of Giant Panda National Park and the surrounding communities as an example. We evaluated the ecotourism suitability based on GIS, and conducted a questionnaire survey of tourists, to propose suggestions on the functional zoning in terms of ecotourism suitability and subjective choice preferences of tourists. The results showed that the ecotourism suitability of the evaluation area could be classified into five levels. The most suitable areas were located nearby the natural landscape resources and far away from the core conservation area, and the least suitable areas distributed at the edge of the core conservation area. According to the results of suitability analysis, the evaluation area was divided into suitable development area, moderate development area, and restricted development area. Combined with the tourist preferences, we divided the recreational activities in the evaluation area into seven activities, namely, ecotourism, eco-camping, science education, leisure vacation, agricultural and animal husbandry culture experience, eco-education, and mountain adventure. These findings could help provide suitable services for different tourists and offer reference for the ecotourism developmental planning of the Xiaoxiangling area of the Giant Panda National Park.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematopoietic malignancy with poor outcomes, especially in older AML patients. Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is considered a promising anticancer drug because it selectively induces the extrinsic apoptosis of tumor cells without affecting normal cells. However, clinical trials have shown that the responses of patients to TRAIL are significantly heterogeneous. It is necessary to explore predictable biomarkers for the preselection of AML patients with better responsiveness to TRAIL. Here, we investigated the critical role of tumor protein p53 inducible nuclear protein 2 (TP53INP2) in the AML cell response to TRAIL treatment. METHODS: First, the relationship between TP53INP2 and the sensitivity of AML cells to TRAIL was determined by bioinformatics analysis of Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia datasets, Cell Counting Kit-8 assays, flow cytometry (FCM) and cell line-derived xenograft (CDX) mouse models. Second, the mechanisms by which TP53INP2 participates in the response to TRAIL were analyzed by Western blot, ubiquitination, coimmunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence assays. Finally, the effect of TRAIL alone or in combination with the BCL-2 inhibitor venetoclax (VEN) on cell survival was explored using colony formation and FCM assays, and the effect on leukemogenesis was further investigated in a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) mouse model. RESULTS: AML cells with high TP53INP2 expression were more sensitive to TRAIL in vitro and in vivo. Gain- and loss-of-function studies demonstrated that TP53INP2 significantly enhanced TRAIL-induced apoptosis, especially in AML cells with nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) mutations. Mechanistically, cytoplasmic TP53INP2 maintained by mutant NPM1 functions as a scaffold bridging the ubiquitin ligase TRAF6 to caspase-8 (CASP 8), thereby promoting the ubiquitination and activation of the CASP 8 pathway. More importantly, simultaneously stimulating extrinsic and intrinsic apoptosis signaling pathways with TRAIL and VEN showed strong synergistic antileukemic activity in AML cells with high levels of TP53INP2. CONCLUSION: Our findings revealed that TP53INP2 is a predictor of responsiveness to TRAIL treatment and supported a potentially individualized therapeutic strategy for TP53INP2-positive AML patients.

ABSTRACT

The effect of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) on the phytoremediation efficiency of ryegrass on soil contaminated with nonylphenol (NP) and cadmium (Cd) was investigated by pot experiments. Pseudomonas aeruginosa application stimulated the adsorption of Cd by ryegrass and facilitated the biodegradation of NP in the soil. Exogenous P. aeruginosa inoculation increased the activities of urease, dehydrogenase, and polyphenol oxidase in the soil of the T4 treatment by 38.5%, 50.0%, and 56.5% compared to that of the T2 treatment, respectively. There was a significant positive correlation between the activities of dehydrogenase and polyphenol oxidase and the NP removal rate (P < 0.001). The relative abundances of beneficial microorganisms (such as Sphingomonas, Lysobacter, Streptomyces, Chloroflexia, Deltaproteobacteria, and Alphaproteobacteria) were increased as a result of P. aeruginosa inoculation. These microorganisms play important roles in nutrient cycling, Cd adsorption, and NP degradation. Additionally, P. aeruginosa was not the dominate bacterial species at the end of the experiment. According to this study, P. aeruginosa application improved the phytoremediation efficiency of ryegrass on soil contaminated with NP and Cd, with a minimal risk of alien microbial invasion.

BACKGROUND: Skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) is an extremely malignant tumor that is associated with a poor prognosis. LSM2 has been found to be related to different types of tumors; however, its role in SKCM is poorly defined. We aimed to determine the value of LSM2 as a prognostic biomarker for SKCM. METHODS: The expression profile of LSM2 mRNA was compared between tumor and normal tissues in public databases, such as TCGA, GEO, and BioGPS. LSM2 protein expression was explored using immunohistochemistry (IHC) on a tissue microarray containing 44 SKCM tissues and 8 normal samples collected at our center. Kaplan-Meier analysis was performed to assess the prognostic value of LSM2 expression in patients with SKCM. SKCM cell lines with LSM2 knockdown were used to determine the effects of LSM2. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) and colony formation assays were conducted to assess cell proliferation, whereas wound healing and transwell assays were carried out to assess the migration and invasion abilities of SKCM cells. RESULTS: LSM2 was more highly expressed at the mRNA and protein levels in SKCM than that in normal skin. Moreover, elevated expression of LSM2 was associated with shorter survival time and early recurrence in patients with SKCM. The in vitro results revealed that the silencing of LSM2 in SKCM cells significantly inhibited cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. CONCLUSION: Overall, LSM2 contributes to malignant status and poor prognosis in patients with SKCM and may be identified as a novel prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target.

Here, a hydroponic experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of exogenous basal application of 0.1 mmol·L-1 spermidine (Spd) on both the physiology and molecular biology of ryegrass root systems under varying degrees (0, 5, and 10 mg·L-1) of cadmium (Cd) stress using ryegrass as the test plants. The results of physiological studies revealed that Cd stress significantly reduced the physiological functions of the ryegrass root system, whereas the addition of Spd effectively alleviated the negative effects caused by Cd. The most significant effect was on the root soluble protein content, which increased by 90.91% and 158.35% compared with 5 mg·L-1and 10 mg·L-1 Cd alone. Spd also inhibited the accumulation of oxidative stress products malondialdehyde (MDA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by increasing the ascorbic acid (ASA) and glutathione (GSH) content and peroxidase (POD) activity, whereas the effects on root activity and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity were not significant. The results of molecular biology studies demonstrated that 10 mg·L-1 Cd stress caused differential expression of a large number of genes in ryegrass roots, and the number of differentially expressed genes, differential significance, and differential multiplicity were significantly reduced after the application of exogenous Spd. The most significant part of the GO enrichment analysis shifted from responding to organic cyclic compounds and aldehyde/ketone group transferase activity to responding to trivalent iron ions and 2'-deoxymugineic-acid 2'-dioxygenase activity. Single gene expression heat map analysis revealed that exogenous Spd upregulated the expression of genes encoding zinc-iron transporter protein and 2'-deoxymugineic-acid 2'-dioxygenase, which improved the uptake and utilization of iron by the root system. In conclusion, the application of certain concentrations of Spd could effectively regulate the response of ryegrass roots to Cd stress, enhance its tolerance physiology, and mitigate the toxic effects of Cd.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Involvement of NLR CARD domain containing 4 (NLRC4) in neuroinflammation has been demonstrated. The aim of this study was to ascertain the prognostic role of serum NLRC4 in severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI). Methods: In this prospective cohort study including 140 sTBI patients and 140 controls, serum NLRC4 levels were quantified. Follow-up time was 180 days after trauma and poor prognosis was designated as extended Glasgow outcome scale (GOSE) scores of 1-4. Severity correlations and prognosis associations were determined under multivariate models. Results: Enhanced serum NLRC4 levels after sTBI, in comparison to controls (median, 0.8 ng/mL versus 0.1 ng/mL; P < 0.001), were independently correlated with Glasgow coma scale (GCS) scores (ß, -0.091; 95% confidence interval (CI), -0.161-0.021; P = 0.011), Rotterdam computed tomography (CT) scores (ß, 0.136; 95% CI, 0.024-0.248; P = 0.018), serum C-reactive protein levels (ß, 0.016; 95% CI, 0.002-0.030; P = 0.025) and 180-day GOSE scores (ß, -0.906; 95% CI, -1.632-0.180; P = 0.015); and were independently predictive of 180-day death (odds ratio, 4.307; 95% CI, 1.706-10.879; P = 0.014)), overall survival (hazard ratio, 2.360; 95% CI, 1.118-4.981; P = 0.040) and poor prognosis (odds ratio, 6.705; 95% CI, 2.889-15.561; P = 0.016). Under receiver operating characteristic curve, combination of serum NLRC4 levels, GCS scores and Rotterdam CT scores had significantly higher death predictive ability than Rotterdam CT scores (P = 0.040), but not than GCS scores (P = 0.070); and exhibited substantially higher predictive capability for poor prognosis than Rotterdam CT scores (P < 0.001) and GCS scores alone (P = 0.023). Conclusion: There is a dramatical elevation of serum NLRC4 levels after sTBI, which has strong correlation with severity and inflammation, and is significantly associated with long-term death and poor outcome, substantializing serum NLRC4 as an inflammatory, prognostic biomarker in sTBI.

ABSTRACT

Modern crowdsourcing offers the potential to produce solutions for increasingly complex tasks requiring teamwork and collective labor. However, the vast scale of the crowd makes forming project teams an intractable problem to coordinate manually. To date, most crowdsourcing collaborative platforms rely on algorithms to automate team formation based on worker profiling data and task objectives. As a top-down strategy, algorithmic crowd team formation tends to alienate workers causing poor collaboration, interpersonal clashes, and dissatisfaction. In this paper, we investigate different ways that crowd teams can be formed through three team formation models namely bottom-up, top-down, and hybrid. By simulating an open collaboration scenario such as a hackathon, we observe that the bottom-up model forms the most competitive teams with the highest teamwork quality. Furthermore, we note that bottom-up approaches are particularly suitable for populations with high-risk appetites (most workers being lenient toward exploring new team configurations) and high degrees of homophily (most workers preferring to work with similar teammates). Our study highlights the importance of integrating worker agency in algorithm-mediated team formation systems, especially in collaborative/competitive settings, and bears practical implications for large-scale crowdsourcing platforms.

ABSTRACT

As the most prevalent bone tumor in children and adolescents, the pathogenesis and metastasis of osteosarcoma (OS) remain largely unclear. Here, we investigated the expression and function of a novel circular RNA (circRNA), circROCK1-E3/E4, which is back-spliced from exons 3 and 4 of Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 1 (ROCK1) in OS. We found that circROCK1-E3/E4, regulated by the well-known RNA-binding protein quaking (QKI), was downregulated in OS and correlated with unfavorable clinical features of patients with OS. Functional proliferation and cell motility assays indicated that circROCK1-E3/E4 serves as a tumor suppressor in OS cells. Mechanistically, circROCK1-E3/E4 suppressed proliferation and migration by upregulating phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) through microRNA-532-5p (miR-532-5p) sponging. In the constructed nude mouse model, circROCK1-E3/E4 inhibited tumor growth and lung metastasis in vivo. This study demonstrates the functions and molecular mechanisms of circROCK1-E3/E4 in the progression of OS. These findings may identify novel targets for the molecular therapy of OS.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Integrative medicine is commonly used in China. Researchers prefer to report efficacy outcomes rather than safety outcomes in clinical trials; thus, evidence regarding safety in integrative medicine is unclear. Developing a core outcome set (COS) for safety outcomes is necessary. In this study, a representative example of the methodology for developing COS to assess safety outcomes of cardiovascular diseases in clinical trials investigating integrated medicine will be developed. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: Safety information will be extracted from package inserts and through systematic reviews of treatments for cardiovascular diseases (including angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmia, and hypertension) to develop an extensive list of safety outcomes, which will then be categorized according to whether subjective or objective outcomes. Questionnaires for clinician-reported safety outcomes and patient-reported safety outcomes will be developed. Two rounds of the Delphi survey will then be conducted for different stakeholders (traditional Chinese medicine clinicians and researchers in cardiovascular diseases, Western medicine clinicians and researchers in cardiovascular diseases, integrated medicine clinicians and researchers of cardiovascular diseases, pharmacologists, methodologists of evidence-based medicine, and patients). After round 2 of the Delphi analysis, a face-to-face consensus meeting will be held to determine the final COS for assessing safety outcomes in cardiovascular diseases. DISCUSSION: A COS for safety outcomes in cardiovascular diseases may improve the consistency of reporting results and will help identify potential bias of selective reporting in the future. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This study was registered in the Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials database as study 1564 .
