ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of dual elastography (dual-elasto) in continuous differentiation of liver fibrosis and inflammation in a large prospective cohort of patients with chronic HBV. APPROACH AND RESULTS: Adults with positive HBsAg for at least 6 months were recruited from 12 medical centers. Participants underwent dual-elasto evaluations. Biopsy was performed 3 days after dual-elasto examination. Four logistic regression models were trained and strung together into series models. Decision trees based on the series models were performed to achieve continuous differentiation of liver fibrosis and inflammation. The influence of inflammation on the fibrosis stage was also evaluated. A total of 560 patients were included in the training set and 240 in the validation set. Areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve of the series model were 0.82, 0.86, 0.93, and 0.96 to predict ≥F1, ≥F2, ≥F3, and F4 in the validation set, which were significantly higher than those of serum markers and shear wave elastography (all p < 0.05), except for the ≥ F1 levels ( p = 0.09). The AUCs of the series model were 0.93, 0.86, 0.95, and 0.84 to predict inflammation stages ≥G1, ≥G2, ≥G3, and G4, respectively. Decision trees realized 5 continuous classifications of fibrosis and inflammation. Inflammation could enhance the mild fibrosis stage classification while showing limited influences on severe fibrosis or cirrhosis diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS: Dual-elasto demonstrated high performance in the continuous discrimination of fibrosis and inflammation in patients with HBV and could be used to diagnose mild fibrosis without the influence of inflammation.

ABSTRACT

Current research efforts on neurodegenerative diseases are focused on identifying novel and reliable biomarkers for early diagnosis and insight into disease progression. Salivary analysis is gaining increasing interest as a promising source of biomarkers and matrices for measuring neurodegenerative diseases. Saliva collection offers multiple advantages over the currently detected biofluids as it is easily accessible, non-invasive, and repeatable, allowing early diagnosis and timely treatment of the diseases. Here, we review the existing findings on salivary biomarkers and address the potential value in diagnosing neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Based on the available research, ß-amyloid, tau protein, α-synuclein, DJ-1, Huntington protein in saliva profiles display reliability and validity as the biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases.

ABSTRACT

Autoimmunity is a normal physiological state that requires immunological homeostasis and surveillance, whereas necroptosis is a type of inflammatory cell death. When necroptosis occurs, various immune system cells must perform their appropriate duties to preserve immunological homeostasis, whether the consequence is expanding or limiting the inflammatory response and the pathological condition is cleared or progresses to the autoimmune disease stage. This article discusses necroptosis based on RIP homotypic interaction motif (RHIM) interaction under various physiological and pathological situations, with the RIPK1-RIPK3-MLKL necrosome serving as the regulatory core. In addition, the cell biology of necroptosis involved in autoimmunity and its application in autoimmune diseases were also reviewed.

ABSTRACT

Epidithiodioxopiperazine (ETP) alkaloids, featuring a 2,5-diketopiperazine core and transannular disulfide bridge, exhibit a broad spectrum of biological activities. However, the structural complexity has prevented efficient chemical synthesis and further clinical research. In the past few decades, many achievements have been made in the biosynthesis of ETPs. Here, we discuss the biosynthetic progress and summarize them as two comprehensible metabolic principles for better understanding the complex pathways of α, α'- and α, ß'-disulfide bridged ETPs. Specifically, we systematically outline the catalytic machineries to install α, α'- and α, ß'-disulfide by flavin-containing oxygenases. This concept would contribute to the medical and industrial applications of ETPs.

ABSTRACT

Malate impacts fruit acidity and plays a vital role in stress tolerance. Malate accumulation is induced by salinity in various plants as a metabolite in coping with this stress. However, the exact molecular mechanism responsible for salinity-induced malate accumulation remains unclear. Here, we determined that salinity treatment induces malate accumulation in pear (Pyrus spp.) fruit, calli, and plantlets compared to the control. Genetic and biochemical analyses established the key roles of PpWRKY44 and ABRE-BINDING FACTOR3 (PpABF3) transcription factors in promoting malate accumulation in response to salinity. We found that PpWRKY44 is involved in salinity-induced malate accumulation by directly binding to a W-box on the promoter of the malate-associated gene aluminum-activated malate transporter 9 (PpALMT9) to activate its expression. A series of in-vivo and in-vitro assays revealed that the G-box cis-element in the promoter of PpWRKY44 was targeted by PpABF3, which further enhanced salinity-induced malate accumulation. Taken together, these findings suggest that PpWRKY44 and PpABF3 play positive roles in salinity-induced malate accumulation in pears. This research provides insights into the molecular mechanism by which salinity affects malate accumulation and fruit quality.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) has shown promise in improving the prognosis of individuals with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC). However, the factors influencing tumor response and long-term survival in these patients remain unknown. The optimal timing for surgery after the completion of radiotherapy in LA-ESCC remains controversial. Therefore, this study was designed to identify biomarkers and to determine the optimal post-NCRT time-to-surgery (TTS) for patients with LA-ESCC. METHODS: This retrospective study included patients with resectable LA-ESCC who underwent NCRT between May 2017 and June 2021. The tumor shrinkage rate was calculated as the difference between the pre- and post-primary gross tumor volume (GTVp) divided by the pre-GTVp. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses and Kaplan-Meier curves were used to calculate overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS). RESULTS: We collected data from 248 patients with resectable LA-ESCC who underwent computed tomography (CT) scans before the initiation of treatment. The median follow-up time was 37.7 months. The optimal cutoff of tumor shrinkage was 45%. In the univariate and multivariate analyses, we found a significant association between the tumor shrinkage rate and PFS (p = 0.001). Among the subgroup of patients who responded to treatment, extending the TTS was associated with improved OS (p = 0.037) and PFS (p = 0.028). CONCLUSIONS: For patients with resectable LA-ESCC, the tumor shrinkage rate is an independent prognostic factor for PFS. Thus, for responders, prolonging TTS is recommended to obtain a better OS.

BACKGROUND: The morbidity and mortality rates of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) are high in China. The overall survival (OS) of patients with ESCC is related to lymph node (LN) metastasis (LNM). This study aimed to discuss the impact of metastasis in LN stations on the OS of patients with pathologic N1 (pN1) ESCC. METHODS: Data were obtained from the Esophageal Cancer Case Management database of Sichuan Cancer Hospital and Institute (SCCH-ECCM). Additionally, data of patients with pN1-category ESCC collected between January 2010 and December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS: Data from 807 patients were analyzed. The median OS of the patients with one metastatic LN (group 1) was 49.8 months (95 % confidence interval [CI], 30.8-68.9 months), whereas the OS of those with two metastatic LNs (group 2) was only 33.3 months (P = 0.0001). Moreover, group 1 did not show a significantly longer OS than group 2.1 (patients with 2 metastatic LNs in 1 LNM station; P = 0.5736), but did show a significantly longer OS than group 2.2 (patients with 2 metastatic LNs in 2 LNM stations; P < 0.0001). After propensity score-matching, the 5-year survival rate for group 1 was 28 %, whereas that for group 2 was 14 % (P = 0.0027). CONCLUSIONS: The OS for the patients with one metastatic LN in one LNM was not significantly longer than for the patients with two metastatic LNs in one LNM station. Patients with one LNM station had a significantly longer OS than those with two LNM stations. Thus, the number of LNM stations is a significant determinant of OS in pN1 ESCC.

ABSTRACT

We have introduced and demonstrated a three-dimensional, multidirectional photodetector (PD) made of germanium for optoelectronic integration (OEI) systems. Building upon the fundamental physical principles of PDs, we focused on the design aspects of structure, dimensions, and doping. This led to the development of an integrated chip-level PD capable of discerning light from four different directions. Simulation verification confirmed that the key performance parameters of the four equivalent PDs meet the specified requirements. Importantly, we have identified the device's ability and strategy to evaluate light signals from different directions, as well as the impact of fluctuations in light intensity on the accuracy of the judgments. In-depth investigations into the effects of external bias, doping concentration, and doping region have been conducted to further optimize parameters, enhancing the performance of the proposed device. Overall, the current work will help improve the efficiency of PD and enhance the integration of future OEI chips.

BACKGROUND: In locally advanced, operable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) has shown results that are somewhat comparable to those of standard neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT). The impact of these neoadjuvant treatments on survival outcomes, however, has yet to be elucidated. METHODS: This study included 489 patients with locally advanced ESCC who underwent surgery at Sichuan Cancer Hospital after receiving neoadjuvant treatment between June 2017 and September 2023. Patients were categorized into nCRT and nICT groups based on whether they received neoadjuvant treatment. To mitigate potential biases and balance covariates between the two cohorts, 1:2 propensity score matching (PSM) was conducted using a caliper width of 0.05. RESULTS: After PSM, the baseline characteristics of the 360 patients remained balanced between the two groups. The findings indicated a superior pathological response in the nCRT group, as evidenced by significantly greater rates of complete response (32.87% vs 14.58%, P < 0.001) and favorable tumor regression grade (TRG), as well as reduced ypT stages and less perineural and angioinvasion, despite comparable ypN stages. Despite the improvement in complete pathological response (pCR) in the nCRT group, the 3-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates did not significantly differ between the groups (DFS: 58.32% vs 56.16%, P = 0.67; OS: 69.96% vs 71.99%, P = 0.99). Crucially, The nICT group showed a lower incidence of grade 3 and 4 adverse events in Leukopenia (2.8% vs 29%; P < 0.001) and Neutropenia (2.8% vs 24%; P < 0.001) during neoadjuvant treatment, comparing with nCRT group. CONCLUSIONS: Our preliminary findings suggest that nICT followed by surgery offers comparable survival rates to nCRT, despite being less effective in pathologic outcomes. Nonetheless, nICT is a safe and feasible strategy for locally advanced ESCC, warranting further exploration to understand its impact on long-term survival.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Many patients undergo dose reduction or early termination of chemotherapy to reduce chemoradiotherapy-related toxicity, which may increase their risk of survival. However, this strategy may result in underdosing patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the relative dose intensity (RDI) and survival outcomes in patients with LA-ESCC. METHODS: This retrospective study assessed patients with LA-ESCC (cT2N + M0, cT3-4NanyM0) receiving neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) with curative-intent esophagectomy. The patients received 2 courses of paclitaxel plus carboplatin (TC) combination radiotherapy prior to undergoing surgery. During NCRT, RDI was computed, defined as the received dose as a percentage of the standard dose, and the incidence of dose delays was estimated (≥ 7 days in any course cycle). The best RDI cutoff value (0.7) was obtained using ROC curve. The Kaplan-Meier survival curves were compared using the log-rank test, the treatment effect was measured using hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). RESULTS: We included 132 patients in this study, divided into RDI < 0.7 and RDI ≥ 0.7 groups using cut-off value of 0.7. RDI grade was an independent prognostic factor for OS. Baseline demographic and clinical characteristics were well balanced between the groups. There was no evidence that patients with RDI < 0.7 experienced less toxicity or those with RDI ≥ 0.7 resulted in more toxicity. However, patients with RDI < 0.7 who were given reduced doses had a worse overall survival [HR 0.49, 95% CI 0.27-0.88, P = 0.015]. The risk of a lower RDI increased with a longer dose delay time (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: The RDI below 0.7 for avoiding chemoradiotherapy toxicity administration led to a reduction in the dose intensity of treatment and decreased overall survival.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: In recent years, there has been extensive research on the role of exercise as an adjunctive therapy for cancer. However, the potential mechanisms underlying the anti-tumor therapy of exercise in lung cancer remain to be fully elucidated. As such, our study aims to confirm whether exercise-induced elevation of epinephrine can accelerate CD8+ T cell recruitment through modulation of chemokines and thus ultimately inhibit tumor progression. METHOD: C57BL/6 mice were subcutaneously inoculated with Lewis lung cancer cells (LLCs) to establish a subcutaneous tumor model. The tumor mice were randomly divided into different groups to performed a moderate-intensity exercise program on a treadmill for 5 consecutive days a week, 45 min a day. The blood samples and tumor tissues were collected after exercise for IHC, RT-qPCR, ELISA and Western blot. In addition, another group of mice received daily epinephrine treatment for two weeks (0.05 mg/mL, 200 µL i.p.) (EPI, n = 8) to replicate the effects of exercise on tumors in vivo. Lewis lung cancer cells were treated with different concentrations of epinephrine (0, 5, 10, 20 µM) to detect the effect of epinephrine on chemokine levels via ELISA and RT-qPCR. RESULTS: This study reveals that both pre- and post-cancer exercise effectively impede the tumor progression. Exercise led to an increase in EPI levels and the infiltration of CD8+ T cell into the lung tumor. Exercise-induced elevation of EPI is involved in the regulation of Ccl5 and Cxcl10 levels further leading to enhanced CD8+ T cell infiltration and ultimately inhibiting tumor progression. CONCLUSION: Exercise training enhance the anti-tumor immunity of lung cancer individuals. These findings will provide valuable insights for the future application of exercise therapy in clinical practice.

INTRODUCTION: Anastomotic leakage post-esophagectomy remains a significant challenge. Despite the use of both mechanical and manual anastomosis, leakage rates remain high. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the manual layered insertion anastomosis technique in addressing this issue. METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients who underwent this technique from September 2020 to December 2021. The process involved thoracoscopic release of the esophagus, mediastinal lymph node dissection, laparoscopic stomach release, and its transformation into a tube. The latter was then guided to the neck for anastomosis. The posterior anastomotic wall was reshaped in the neck first for optimal insertion, followed by layered suturing with the gastric conduit. The anterior wall was subsequently sutured and repositioned into the chest. RESULTS: The study included 56 patients (51 men, five women, mean age 65.4 y), with nine having undergone neoadjuvant therapy. All received minimally invasive esophagectomy. Average intraoperative blood loss was 79.8 mL, operation time averaged 331 min, and feeding resumed after an average of 6.3 d. No anastomotic leakages were reported, with reduced incidences of anastomotic stenosis and gastric acid reflux compared to previous studies. CONCLUSIONS: The manual layered insertion anastomosis technique may reduce anastomotic leakage and associated complications, improving the efficacy of esophagectomy, which may improve postoperative results and patient quality of life, suggesting the method's potential suitability for wider clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Crucian carp (Carassius carassius) is an important aquatic economic animal, and the immune barrier function of its intestine has been a focus of research into oral vaccines and drugs. However, the histological structures of the intestinal barrier and its adjacent areas have not been clearly established, and little subcellular evidence is available to elucidate the spatial distribution of intracellular biological processes. In this study, the spatial distribution of autophagy and endosome formation in the intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) of crucian carp were analyzed. These two biological activities are closely related to intestinal homeostasis, immunity, and cell communication. Periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) and Masson's trichrome staining were employed to elucidate the distinctive histological framework of the Crucian carp's myoid cell network, which resides within the subepithelial layer and is characterized by gap junctions. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) were used to detect the structural and functional aspects of the IEC in different intestinal segments. TEM and immunohistochemical analyses captured the biogenesis and maturation of early and late endosomes as well as multivesicular bodies (MVBs), as well as the initiation and progression of autophagy, including macroautophagy and mitophagy. The endosome and MVBs-specific marker CD63 and autophagy-related protein LC3 were highly expressed in IECs and were correlated with autophagy and endosome biosynthesis in the apical and basal regions of individual cells, and differed between different intestinal segments. In summary, this study elucidated the ubiquity and morphological characteristics of autophagy and endosome formation across different intestinal segments of crucian carp. A unique myoid cell network beneath the intestinal epithelium in crucian carp was also identified, expanding the histological understanding of this animal's intestinal tract.

Carbon-based perovskite solar cells (C-PSCs) without hole transporting layer (HTL) have shown great potential in terms of cost-effectiveness and stability. However, the inevitable defects on the surface of CsPbI2Br films severely hampers the development of high-efficiency CsPbI2Br C-PSCs. Surface engineering has emerged an effective approach to overcome this challenge. Herein, 1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (DMTT) ionic liquid was introduced between CsPbI2Br and carbon electrode to reduce non-recombination of charges, decrease defect states, minimize the energy-level mismatch, and greatly enhance the device stability. As a result, the HTL-free CsPbI2Br C-PSCs combined with DMTT as an interface modification achieved a higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 12.47% than that of the control devices with a PCE of 11.32%. Furthermore, without any encapsulation, the DMTT-optimized C-PSC remained approximately 84% of its initial PCE after over 700 h under room temperature and 25% relative humidity (RH) conditions. Additionally, when exposed to a temperature of 65 °C for over 400 h, the device still retained 74% of the initial PCE, demonstrating its thermal stability.

ABSTRACT

There are numerous defects existing on the surface and grain boundary of perovskite, which adversely affect the performance and stability of perovskite solar cell devices. Systematic first-principles calculations show that the I vacancy (VI), Pb vacancy (VPb), Pb-I antisite (PbI), and I-Pb antisite (IPb) defects can significantly affect the electronic properties of the surface of formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI3); in particular the VPb, PbI and IPb surface defects can introduce defect energy levels in the band gap. Tetrahexylammonium iodide (THAI) that is strongly adsorbed on the (1 0 0) surface of FAPbI3 by forming Pb-I coordination bonds and I⋯H hydrogen bonds could eliminate or reduce the defect states near the band edge or in the band gap by transferring electrons between THAI and the surface of FAPbI3. In particular, the defect states introduced by VPb could be completely eliminated after the adsorption of THAI. This study shows an in-depth understanding of the influence of defects on the electronic properties of the surface of FAPbI3, as well as the passivation mechanism of organic salts on the surface defects of perovskite.

ABSTRACT

Two-dimensional (2D) MXene superconductors have been currently attracting considerable interest due to their unique electronic properties and diverse applicability. Utilizing first-principles computational methods, we have designed two distinct configurations of hydrogenated 2D Ti2N MXene materials, namely Ti2NH2 and Ti2NH4, and have conducted an exhaustive analysis of their structural stability, electronic characteristics, and superconductivity. Hydrogenation endows monolayer Ti2N with inherent metallic characteristics, as evidenced by an elevated density of states (DOS) at the Fermi level (Ef). Notably, Ti2NH4 exhibits a superconducting critical temperature (Tc) of 15.8 K, which is predominantly ascribed to the electronic contributions stemming from the Ti 3d orbitals. Analysis of phonon dispersion underscores the pivotal role that diverse lattice vibrational modes play in electron-phonon coupling (EPC), particularly the significance of low-frequency vibrations for facilitating electron pairing and the emergence of superconductivity. Furthermore, strain engineering can effectively modulate the superconducting properties of Ti2NH4, with a 2% tensile strain enhancing the EPC strength (λ) to 0.857 and increasing Tc to 18.7 K. This research elucidates the superconducting mechanisms of hydrogenated Ti2N structures, offering valuable insights for the development of novel 2D superconducting materials.

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE: Surgery for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is characterized by a poor prognosis and high complication rate, resulting in a heavy symptom burden and poor health-related quality of life (QOL). We evaluated longitudinal patient-reported outcomes (PROs) to analyze the correlations between symptoms and QOL and their changing characteristics during postoperative rehabilitation. METHODS: We investigated patients with ESCC who underwent minimally invasive McKeown esophagectomy at Sichuan Cancer Hospital between April 2019 and December 2019. Longitudinal data of the clinical characteristics and PROs were collected. The MD Anderson Symptom Inventory and European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QOL questionnaires were used to assess symptoms and QOL and compare the trajectories of PROs during the investigation. RESULTS: A total of 244 patients with ESCC were enrolled in this study. Regarding QOL, role and emotional functions returned to baseline at 1 month after surgery, and cognitive and social functions returned to baseline at 3 months after surgery. However, physical function and global QOL did not return to baseline at 1 year after surgery. At 7 days and 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery, the main symptoms of the patients were negatively correlated with physical, role, emotional, cognitive, and social functions and the overall health status (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Patients with ESCC experience reduced health-related QOL and persisting symptoms after minimally invasive McKeown esophagectomy, but a recovery trend was observed within 1 month. The long-term QOL after esophagectomy is acceptable.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND AND IMPORTANCE: Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) is an arrhythmia commonly seen in the emergency department. Both modified Valsalva maneuver (MVM) and intravenous adenosine are the first line treatment, of which the former has e lower success rate while the latter has a higher success rate but some risks and adverse effects. Given both of these reverse rhythms quickly, combining them may achieve a better effect. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to evaluate the success rate and potential risk of combining the use of intravenous adenosine while patients were doing MVM as a treatment for paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(pSVT). DESIGN, SETTINGS AND PARTICIPANTS: We recruited patients with pSVT from 2017 to 2022, and randomly assigned them into 3 groups, MVM group, intravenous adenosine group, and combination therapy group, in which MVM was allowed to be performed twice, while intravenous adenosine was given in a titration manner to repeat three times, recorded the success rate and side effects in each group. MAIN RESULTS: The success rate of the MVM group, adenosine group, and combination group are 42.11%, 75.00 and 86.11%, respectively. The success rate of the adenosine group and combination group is significantly higher than the n MVSM group (p < 0.01, p < 0.001), while the success rate of the combination group is higher than the adenosine group, it has no significant difference (p = 0.340). In terms of safety, the longest RR durations (asystole period) are 1.61 s, 1.60s, and 2.27 s, there is a statistical difference among the three groups (p < 0.01) and between the adenosine and combination group (0.018). CONCLUSION: Therefore, we can conclude that combination therapy has a relatively high success rate and good safety profile, but the current study failed to show its superiority to adenosine.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The free gingival graft (FGG) has been identified as the most effective method for increasing keratinized mucosa width (KMW). However, the challenge emerges in cases of extensive keratinized mucosa deficiency, where efficient utilization of the patient's limited keratinized tissue to achieve optimal results is crucial. This article introduces a modified geometric technique to address this clinical issue. CLINICAL CONSIDERATIONS: Utilizing geometric principles, the modified technique involves dividing the rectangular graft into two triangular or trapezoidal sections, which are then reassembled to form an approximate diamond shape. Through strategic cut and splice, the graft is reshaped to suit the recipient site. CONCLUSION: Preliminary observations in cases employing the modified geometric technique have increased the KMW around implants. This method enhances graft utilization and offers a viable clinical option for surgical plans aimed at widening keratinized mucosa in instances of large-area KMW deficiency. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This article proposed a modified method to increase KMW, which may be an optimal choice for patients with insufficient KMW in large area, avoiding the waste of limited graft, decreasing patient morbidity, and effectively widening keratinized mucosa.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The principal aim of this report is to address the challenge of integrating prosthetic crowns with natural dentition in the esthetic zone. It highlights the utilization of a prosthetically driven treatment plan, designed to ensure predictable esthetic outcomes. CLINICAL CONSIDERATIONS: This report details a technique that utilizes three digital guides, all derived from a 3-dimensional digital smile design. The integration of a restoration guide, an implant drilling guide, and an alveoloplasty guide is described. These tools collectively facilitate the precise execution of both surgical and prosthetic procedures, enhancing treatment accuracy and esthetic integration. CONCLUSIONS: This technique considers the esthetic prosthetic crowns, implant positions, and alveoloplasty collectively. It enhances the predictability of esthetic outcomes in oral implantology and potentially provides an integrated prosthetically driven workflow in cosmetic dental treatments. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The application of multiple digital guides derived from the same prosthetically driven treatment significantly enhances the predictability of esthetic outcomes in oral implantology.
