ABSTRACT

The age’s process promotes on the frame of joint, an elasticity characteristic alternation of tissues. It happens, due to increase of cross ligament, altering gradually, the wide motion, and thus, promoting a decrease on the joints perceptions and also, on the speed of march. This study proposes a decrease of process through the increase of joint mobility. It was chosen 30 people around 60 and 69 years old and they were divided in two groups: the control group and the experimental group. The second one, was submitted to an intervention of joint mobilization in hip and he was evaluated in according of Cerny theory, presenting according in the average of the right step (p = 0,0003), increase in the average of the right passed one (p = 0,0001) and of the left passed one (p = 0,0006), promoting improvement on the cadence of march (p = 0,0013) and intervening positively with the speed of the march. The positive results for the intervention carried through in the joint lame hip had provided angular increase in the angle to articulate, causing to diminish of the physiological alterations provoked by the aging process, giving the parameters of the march.
