ABSTRACT
Magnetoresistance is a fundamental transport phenomenon that is essential for reading the magnetic states for various information storage, innovative computing and sensor devices. Recent studies have expanded the scope of magnetoresistances to the nonlinear regime, such as a bilinear magnetoelectric resistance (BMER), which is proportional to both electric field and magnetic field. Here we demonstrate that the BMER is a general phenomenon that arises even in three-dimensional systems without explicit momentum-space spin textures. Our theory suggests that the spin Hall effect enables the BMER provided that the magnitudes of spin accumulation at the top and bottom interfaces are not identical. The sign of the BMER follows the sign of the spin Hall effect of heavy metals, thereby evidencing that the BMER originates from the bulk spin Hall effect. Our observation suggests that the BMER serves as a general nonlinear transport characteristic in three-dimensional systems, especially playing a crucial role in antiferromagnetic spintronics.
ABSTRACT
The key challenge of spin-orbit torque applications lies in exploring an excellent spin source capable of generating out-of-plane spins while exhibiting high spin Hall conductivity. Here we combine PtTe2 for high spin conductivity and WTe2 for low crystal symmetry to satisfy the above requirements. The PtTe2/WTe2 bilayers exhibit a high in-plane spin Hall conductivity σs,y ≈ 2.32 × 105 × h/2e Ω-1 m-1 and out-of-plane spin Hall conductivity σs,z ≈ 0.25 × 105 × h/2e Ω-1 m-1, where h is the reduced Planck's constant and e is the value of the elementary charge. The out-of-plane spins in PtTe2/WTe2 bilayers enable the deterministic switching of perpendicular magnetization at room temperature without magnetic fields, and the power consumption is 67 times smaller than that of the Pt control case. The high out-of-plane spin Hall conductivity is attributed to the conversion from in-plane spin to out-of-plane spin, induced by the crystal asymmetry of WTe2. Our work establishes a low-power perpendicular magnetization manipulation based on wafer-scale two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures.

BACKGROUND: Plant diseases caused by pathogenic fungi are devastating. However, commonly used fungicides are harmful to the environment, and some are becoming ineffective due to fungal resistance. Therefore, eco-friendly biological methods to control pathogenic fungi are urgently needed. RESULTS: In this study, a strain, Paenibacillus sp. lzh-N1, that could inhibit the growth of the pathogenic fungus Mycosphaerella sentina (Fr) Schrorter was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of pear trees, and the complete genome sequence of the strain was obtained, annotated, and analyzed to reveal the genetic foundation of its antagonistic ability. The entire genome of this strain contained a circular chromosome of 5,641,488 bp with a GC content of 45.50%. The results of species identification show that the strain belongs to the same species as P. polymyxa Sb3-1 and P. polymyxa CJX518. Sixteen secondary metabolic biosynthetic gene clusters were predicted by antiSMASH, including those of the antifungal peptides fusaricidin B and paenilarvins. In addition, biofilm formation-related genes containing two potential gene clusters for cyclic lactone autoinducer, a gene encoding S-ribosylhomocysteine lyase (LuxS), and three genes encoding exopolysaccharide biosynthesis protein were identified. CONCLUSIONS: Antifungal peptides and glucanase biosynthesized by Paenibacillus sp. lzh-N1 may be responsible for its antagonistic effect. Moreover, quorum sensing systems may influence the biocontrol activity of this strain directly or indirectly.

Sulfate transporter (SULTR) proteins are in charge of the transport and absorption on sulfate substances, and have been reported to play vital roles in the biological processes of plant growth and stress response. However, there were few reports of genome-wide identification and expression-pattern analysis of SULTRs in Hibiscus mutabilis. Gossypium genus is a ideal model for studying the allopolyploidy, therefore two diploid species (G. raimondii and G. arboreum) and two tetraploid species (G. hirsutum and G. barbadense) were chosen in this study to perform bioinformatic analyses, identifying 18, 18, 35, and 35 SULTR members, respectively. All the 106 cotton SULTR genes were utilized to construct the phylogenetic tree together with 11 Arabidopsis thaliana, 13 Oryza sativa, and 8 Zea mays ones, which was divided into Group1-Group4. The clustering analyses of gene structures and 10 conserved motifs among the cotton SULTR genes showed the consistent evolutionary relationship with the phylogenetic tree, and the results of gene-duplication identification among the four representative Gossypium species indicated that genome-wide or segment duplication might make main contributions to the expansion of SULTR gene family in cotton. Having conducted the cis-regulatory element analysis in promoter region, we noticed that the existing salicylic acid (SA), jasmonic acid (JA), and abscisic acid (ABA) elements could have influences with expression levels of cotton SULTR genes. The expression patterns of GhSULTR genes were also investigated on the 7 different tissues or organs and the developing ovules and fibers, most of which were highly expressed in root, stem, sepal, receptacel, ovule at 10 DPA, and fiber at 20 and 25 DPA. In addition, more active regulatory were observed in GhSULTR genes responding to multiple abiotic stresses, and 12 highly expressed genes showed the similar expression patterns in the quantitative Real-time PCR experiments under cold, heat, salt, and drought treatments. These findings broaden our insight into the evolutionary relationships and expression patterns of the SULTR gene family in cotton, and provide the valuable information for further screening the vital candidate genes on trait improvement.

The triple-network model has been widely applied in neuropsychiatric disorders including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, the mechanism of causal regulations within the triple-network and their relations with symptoms of ASD remains unclear. 81 male ASD and 80 well matched typically developing control (TDC) were included in this study, recruited from Autism Brain Image Data Exchange-I datasets. Spatial reference-based independent component analysis was used to identify the anterior and posterior part of default-mode network (aDMN and pDMN), salience network (SN), and bilateral executive-control network (ECN) from resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data. Spectral dynamic causal model and parametric empirical Bayes with Bayesian model reduction/average were adopted to explore the effective connectivity (EC) within triple-network and the relationship between EC and autism diagnostic observation schedule (ADOS) scores. After adjusting for age and site effect, ASD and TDC groups both showed inhibition patterns. Compared with TDC, ASD group showed weaker self-inhibition in aDMN and pDMN, stronger inhibition in pDMNâaDMN, weaker inhibition in aDMNâLECN, pDMNâSN, LECNâSN, and LECNâRECN. Furthermore, negative relationships between ADOS scores and pDMN self-inhibition strength, as well as with the EC of pDMNâaDMN were observed in ASD group. The present study reveals imbalanced effective connections within triple-networks in ASD children. More attentions should be focused at the pDMN, which modulates the core symptoms of ASD and may serve as an important region for ASD diagnosis and the target region for ASD treatments.

BACKGROUND: Epidermal patterning factor / -like (EPF/EPFL) gene family encodes a class of cysteine-rich secretory peptides, which are widelyfound in terrestrial plants.Multiple studies has indicated that EPF/EPFLs might play significant roles in coordinating plant development and growth, especially as the morphogenesis processes of stoma, awn, stamen, and fruit skin. However, few research on EPF/EPFL gene family was reported in Gossypium. RESULTS: We separately identified 20 G. raimondii, 24 G. arboreum, 44 G. hirsutum, and 44 G. barbadense EPF/EPFL genes in the 4 representative cotton species, which were divided into four clades together with 11 Arabidopsis thaliana, 13 Oryza sativa, and 17 Selaginella moellendorffii ones based on their evolutionary relationships. The similar gene structure and common motifs indicated the high conservation among the EPF/EPFL members, while the uneven distribution in chromosomes implied the variability during the long-term evolutionary process. Hundreds of collinearity relationships were identified from the pairwise comparisons of intraspecifc and interspecific genomes, which illustrated gene duplication might contribute to the expansion of cotton EPF/EPFL gene family. A total of 15 kinds of cis-regulatory elements were predicted in the promoter regions, and divided into three major categories relevant to the biological processes of development and growth, plant hormone response, and abiotic stress response. Having performing the expression pattern analyses with the basic of the published RNA-seq data, we found most of GhEPF/EPFL and GbEPF/EPFL genes presented the relatively low expression levels among the 9 tissues or organs, while showed more dramatically different responses to high/low temperature and salt or drought stresses. Combined with transcriptome data of developing ovules and fibers and quantitative Real-time PCR results (qRT-PCR) of 15 highly expressed GhEPF/EPFL genes, it could be deduced that the cotton EPF/EPFL genes were closely related with fiber development. Additionally, the networks of protein-protein interacting among EPF/EPFLs concentrated on the cores of GhEPF1 and GhEPF7, and thosefunctional enrichment analyses indicated that most of EPF/EPFLs participate in the GO (Gene Ontology) terms of stomatal development and plant epidermis development, and the KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes) pathways of DNA or base excision repair. CONCLUSION: Totally, 132 EPF/EPFL genes were identified for the first time in cotton, whose bioinformatic analyses of cis-regulatory elements and expression patterns combined with qRT-PCR experiments to prove the potential functions in the biological processes of plant growth and responding to abiotic stresses, specifically in the fiber development. These results not only provide comprehensive and valuable information for cotton EPF/EPFL gene family, but also lay solid foundation for screening candidate EPF/EPFL genes in further cotton breeding.

Chiral magnets have garnered significant interest due to the emergence of unique phenomena prohibited in inversion-symmetric magnets. While the equilibrium characteristics of chiral magnets have been extensively explored through the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI), nonequilibrium properties like magnetic damping have received comparatively less attention. We present the inaugural direct observation of chiral damping through Brillouin light scattering (BLS) spectroscopy. Employing BLS spectrum analysis, we independently deduce both the DMI and chiral damping, extracting them from the frequency shift and linewidth of the spectrum peak, respectively. The resulting linewidths exhibit clear odd symmetry with respect to the magnon wave vector, unambiguously confirming the presence of chiral damping. Our study introduces a novel methodology for quantifying chiral damping, with potential ramifications on diverse nonequilibrium phenomena within chiral magnets.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, breast cancer (BC) incidence and mortality have been the highest in females. Menopause-like syndrome (MLS), arising from hypoestrogenism caused by endocrine therapy, significantly affects the quality of life for females. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has advantages in ameliorating MLS, but the efficacy of TCM in patients with BC has not been systematically evaluated. METHODS: A comprehensive search was performed on PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Ovid, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, Chinese Scientific Journals Database, and Clinical Trial Registry from inception to September 4, 2023. The Cochrane Risk of Bias assessment tool was used for the quality evaluation of the randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Review Manager 5.4 software was used for statistical analysis, and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation was used for quality evaluation of the synthesized evidence. RESULTS: This review included 42 studies involving 3112 female patients with BC. The results showed that the TCM group was better at decreasing the Kupperman Menopausal Index (KMI) scores (standardized MD, SMD = - 1.84, 95% confidence interval, CI [- 2.21--1.46], Z = 9.63, P < 0.00001). Regarding the main symptoms of MLS, the TCM groups could significantly decrease the scores of hot flashes and night sweats (SMD = - 0.68, 95% CI [- 1.1--0.27], Z = 3.24, P = 0.001), paraesthesia (SMD = - 0.48, 95% CI [- 0.74--0.21], Z = 3.53, P = 0.0004), osteoarthralgia (SMD = - 0.41, 95% CI [- 0.6-0.21], Z = 4.09, P < 0.0001), anxiety (MD = - 0.85, 95% CI [- 1.13, - 0.58], Z = 6.08, P < 0.00001) and insomnia (MD = - 0.61, 95% CI [- 0.8, - 0.43], Z = 6.51, P < 0.00001). TCM can effectively improve the symptoms of MLS in patients with BC. Moreover, TCM could improve the objective response rate (ORR) by 50% (RR = 1.5, 95% CI [1.37-1.64], Z = 9.01, P < 0.00001). Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and oestradiol (E2) had no significant difference compared with the control group (p = 0.81 and p = 0.87), and luteinizing hormone (LH) in the TCM group decreased significantly (MD = - 0.99, 95% CI [- 1.38, - 0.5], Z = 5.01, P < 0.00001). This means that the use of TCM does not negatively affect endocrine therapy and may even have a synergistic effect. The incidence of adverse events (AEs) was lower in the TCM groups than in the control groups. CONCLUSIONS: The meta-analysis stated that TCM could better improve the MLS of patients, alleviate related symptoms, and did not increase adverse drug reactions in BC survivors. This review brings more attention to MLS, and the present findings shed light on the potential applications of TCM in the treatment of MLS in BC survivors.

This longitudinal study in Mainland China (2021-2022) explored the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) symptoms, with a focus on the role of self-compassion. Among 18,933 surveyed university students, 21.2% reported experiencing at least one ACE. Results revealed a clear relationship between ACEs and CPTSD symptoms. Furthermore, self-compassion, particularly the dimensions of self-judgment and isolation, moderated the association between retrospective ACEs and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and disturbance in self-organization (DSO) symptoms. These findings highlight the enduring impact of ACEs on CPTSD symptoms and emphasize the importance of early identification and targeted interventions, especially addressing self-judgment and isolation, to mitigate CPTSD risk among young Chinese adults.

BACKGROUND: Skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) is an aggressive form of malignant melanoma with poor prognosis and high mortality rates. Disulfidptosis is a newly discovered cell death regulatory mechanism caused by the abnormal accumulation of disulfides. This unique pathway is guiding significant new research to understand cancer progression for targeted treatment. However, the correlation between disulfidptosis with long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in SKCM remains unknown at present. METHODS: The Cancer Genome Atlas database furnished lncRNA expression data and clinical information for SKCM patients. Pearson correlation and Cox regression analyses identified disulfidptosis-related lncRNAs associated with SKCM prognosis. ROC curves and a nomogram validated the model. TME, immune infiltration, GSEA analysis, immune checkpoint gene expression profiling, and drug sensitivity were assessed in high and low-risk groups. Consistent clustering categorized SKCM patients for personalized clinical treatment guidance. RESULTS: A total of twelve disulfidptosis-related lncRNAs were identified for the development of prognosis prediction models. The area under the curve (AUC) values of the ROC curve and the nomogram provided reliable discrimination to evaluate the prognostic potential for SKCM patients. The TME played a crucial role in tumorigenesis, progression and prognosis, and the risk scores were closely related to immune cell infiltration. Meanwhile, the combination of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy was recommended for low-risk patients based on drug sensitivity and immune efficacy analyses. CONCLUSION: We identified a risk model of twelve disulfidptosis-related lncRNAs that could be used to predict the prognosis of SKCM patients and help guide immunotherapy and chemotherapy for personalized treatment plans.

BACKGROUND: Tour guides' identification and internalization of occupational stigma may exacerbate their career development, perceived professional reputation and status, and mental health. The current study aimed to develop and verify the Tour guides Internalized Occupational Stigma Scale (TIOSS) to provide an effective tool for relevant quantitative research. METHODS: The study developed an initial questionnaire through literature analysis, expert review, and semi-structured surveys. We conducted item analyses and exploratory factor analyses among 326 tour guides, and confirmatory factor analysis and reliability and validity tests among 315 tour guides. RESULTS: The TIOSS consists of 21 items and is formed in three dimensions referring to Stigma Perception (SP), Status Loss (SL), and Career Denial (CD). The correlation coefficient values of the TIOSS total scale and dimension scores with the criterion instruments ranged from 0.17 to 0.68. In addition, the Cronbach's α coefficients for the TIOSS and its dimensions ranged from 0.837 to 0.928, and the split-half reliability coefficients ranged from 0.843 to 0.916. The study also revealed that the TIOSS was consistent across genders. CONCLUSION: The TIOSS performed favorable reliability and validity to be a valid instrument to assess tour guides' internalized occupational stigma.

BACKGROUND: The stigma of loneliness exacerbates the negative effect of loneliness, reduces the willingness to seek help, damages interpersonal relationships, and threatens health status. However, there is currently no valid scale for measuring the stigma of loneliness in China. The study aims to translate the Stigma of Loneliness Scale (SLS) and evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version. METHODS: The investigation was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, the SLS was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 657 college students aged 17 to 24; in the second phase, the SLS, the UCLA Loneliness Scale (ULS-8), the Distress Disclosure Index (DDI), the Revised Cheek and Buss Shyness Scale (RCBS), the Self-Concealment Scale (SCS), the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS), the Social Phobia Scale (SPS), the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) were used to conduct the questionnaire survey on 801 college and graduates students aged 18 to 39. RESULTS: Two dimensions of Self-stigma of Loneliness and Public Stigma of Loneliness were extracted with a cumulative factor interpretation rate of 74.60% when conducting exploratory factor analysis on the first-stage data. The factor loading of each item ranged from 0.585 to 0.890, and the commonality ranged from 0.609 to 0.735. The confirmatory factor analysis and reliability and validity test were carried out on the data gathered in the second phase, indicating that the two-factor model fits well. In addition, the scores of SLS and all dimensions were significantly positively correlated with the total scores of ULS-8, RCBS, SCS, SIAS, SPS, and K10, and negatively correlated with those of DDI and RSES. The Cronbach's alpha coefficients for SLS and SSL and PSL dimensions were 0.957, 0.941, and 0.955. The cross-group invariance test found that the SLS was equivalent for males and females. Meanwhile, males scored significantly higher than females on both the total scores of SLS score and each dimension. CONCLUSIONS: The Chinese version of SLS displayed satisfactory psychometric properties and can be a valid tool to assess the stigma of loneliness among Chinese young people.

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to investigate the association between maternal diabetes and the risk of hypospadias in male infants, as the relationship between them remains uncertain. METHODS: To comprehensively evaluate the association between pregestational diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes mellitus with hypospadias, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis. A thorough literature search was conducted, encompassing relevant publications published prior to January 2023. Crude odds ratios (ORs) and their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using a random-effects model. RESULTS: Our meta-analysis comprised a total of 13 studies, 11 of which investigated the relationship between pregestational diabetes mellitus and hypospadias, while 9 studies explored the association between gestational diabetes mellitus and hypospadias. Notably, these investigations yielded compelling evidence of significant positive associations between pregestational diabetes mellitus and hypospadias (OR = 1.51, 95% CI = 1.13-2.03), as well as between gestational diabetes mellitus and hypospadias (OR = 1.18, 95% CI = 1.04-1.35). CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that both pregestational diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes mellitus are associated with an increased risk of hypospadias in offspring. Further investigations are needed to explore the optimal range of blood glucose during pregnancy that minimizes the risk of congenital malformation in the fetus, as well as to develop more effective measures for glycemic control in pregnant women.

Riptortus pedestris (Hemiptera: Alydidae), a common agricultural pest, is the major causative agent of "soybean staygreen." However, the interactions between chemosensory proteins (CSPs) in R. pedestris and host plant volatiles have yet to be comprehensively studied. In this study, we performed real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to analyze the antennal expression of RpedCSP22 and subsequently analyzed the interactions between 21 soybean volatiles, five aggregation pheromones, and RpedCSP22 protein in vitro using a protein expression system, molecular docking, site-directed mutagenesis, and fluorescence competitive binding experiments. The RpedCSP22 protein showed binding affinity to three soybean volatiles (benzaldehyde, 4-ethylbenzaldehyde, and 1-octene-3-ol), with optimal binding observed under neutral pH conditions, and lost binding ability after site-directed mutagenesis. In subsequent RNA interference (RNAi) studies, gene silencing was more than 90 %, and in silenced insects, electroantennographic responses were reduced by more than 75 % compared to non-silenced insects. Moreover, Y-tube olfactory behavioral assessments revealed that the attraction of R. pedestris to the three soybean volatiles was significantly attenuated. These findings suggest that RpedCSP22 plays an important role in the recognition of host plant volatiles by R. pedestris andprovides a theoretical basis for the development of novel inhibitors targeting pest behavior.

With the exacerbation of global climate change and the growing environmental awareness among the general public, the concept of green consumption has gained significant attention across various sectors of society. As a representative example of green consumer products, energy-saving products play a crucial role in the timely realization of dual carbon goals. However, an analysis of online comments regarding energy-saving products reveals that the majority of these products still exhibit shortcomings in terms of efficacy, noise level, cost-effectiveness, and particularly, energy-saving appliances. This study focuses on the user-generated online comments data from the Taobao e-commerce platform for Grade 1 energy-saving refrigerators. By employing text mining techniques, the study aims to extract the essential information and sentiments expressed in the comments, in order to explore the consumption characteristics of Grade 1 energy-saving refrigerators. Moreover, the LBBA (LDA-Bert-BiLSTM-Attention) model is utilized to investigate the consumer topics of interest and emotional features. Initially, the LDA model is adopted to identify the attributes and weights of consumer concerns. Subsequently, the Bert model is pre-trained with the online comment data, and combined with the BiLSTM algorithm and Attention mechanism to predict sentiment categories. Finally, a transfer learning approach is utilized to determine the sentiment inclination of user-generated online comments and to identify the primary driving factors behind each sentiment category. This research employs sentiment analysis on online comments data regarding energy-saving products to uncover consumer sentiment attributes and emotional characteristics. It provides decision-makers with a comprehensive and systematic understanding of public consumption intentions, offering decision support for the efficient operation and management of the energy-saving product market.

OBJECTIVES: To detect the expression changes of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and transforming growth factor-ß1 (TGF-ß1) during the development of deep vein thrombosis in mice, and to explore the application value of them in thrombus age estimation. METHODS: The mice in the experimental group were subjected to ligation of inferior vena cava. The mice were sacrificed by excessive anesthesia at 1 d, 3 d, 5 d, 7 d, 10 d, 14 d and 21 d after ligation, respectively. The inferior vena cava segment with thrombosis was extracted below the ligation point. The mice in the control group were not ligated, and the inferior vena cava segment at the same position as the experimental group was extracted. The expression changes of IL-10 and TGF-ß1 were detected by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western blotting and real-time qPCR. RESULTS: IHC results revealed that IL-10 was mainly expressed in monocytes in thrombosis and TGF-ß1 was mainly expressed in monocytes and fibroblast-like cells in thrombosis. Western blotting and real-time qPCR showed that the relative expression levels of IL-10 and TGF-ß1 in each experimental group were higher than those in the control group. The mRNA and protein levels of IL-10 reached the peak at 7 d and 10 d after ligation, respectively. The mRNA expression level at 7 d after ligation was 4.72±0.15 times that of the control group, and the protein expression level at 10 d after ligation was 7.15±0.28 times that of the control group. The mRNA and protein levels of TGF-ß1 reached the peak at 10 d and 14 d after ligation, respectively. The mRNA expression level at 10 d after ligation was 2.58±0.14 times that of the control group, and the protein expression level at 14 d after ligation was 4.34±0.19 times that of the control group. CONCLUSIONS: The expressions of IL-10 and TGF-ß1 during the evolution of deep vein thrombosis present time-dependent sequential changes, and the expression levels of IL-10 and TGF-ß1 can provide a reference basis for thrombus age estimation.

Chloride-ion batteries (CIBs) have drawn growing attention in large-scale energy storage applications owing to their comprehensive merits of high theoretical energy density, dendrite-free characteristic, and abundance of chloride-containing materials. Nonetheless, cathodes for CIBs are plagued by distinct volume effect and sluggish Cl- diffusion kinetics, leading to inferior rate capability and short cycling life. Herein, an unconventional Ni5 Ti-Cl LDH is reported with a high nickel ratio as a cathode material for CIB. The reversible capacity of Ni5 Ti-Cl LDH retains 127.9 mAh g-1 over 1000 cycles at a large current density of 1000 mA g-1 , which exceeds that of ever reported CIBs, with extraordinary low volume change of 1.006% during a whole charge/discharge process. Such superior Cl-storage performance is attributed to synergetic contributions consisting of high redox activity from Ni2+ /Ni3+ and pinning Ti that restrains local structural distortion of LDH host layers and enhances adsorption intensity of chloride atoms during the reversible Cl- intercalation/de-intercalation in LDH gallery, which are revealed by a comprehensive study including X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, kinetic investigations, and DFT calculations. This work provides an effective strategy to design low-cost LDHs materials for high-performance CIBs, which are also applicable to other types of halide-ion batteries (e.g., fluoride-ion and bromide-ion batteries).

A novel ratiometric probe (SWJT-10) based on isophorone derivatives has been designed and synthesized for the detection of formaldehyde (FA). This probe displayed an obvious ratiometric fluorescence response to FA with a blue shift from the NIR (680 nm) to the yellow light region (600 nm) in aqueous solution. And it showed good selectivity, high sensitivity and a fast response to FA (less than 5 s) due to a new recognition mechanism. Moreover, SWJT-10 has been applied to monitor FA in living cells and zebrafish.

Recently, nanocomposites with potential-resolved multicolor electrochemiluminescence (ECL) property have attracted new research interests. Herein, TiO2 nanoparticles modified graphitic carbon nitride (TiO2-NPs/g-C3N4) with inherent potential-resolved multicolor ECL emission was prepared via a simple synthesis method. The morphology and chemical composition of the synthesized TiO2-NPs/g-C3N4 were characterized. The obtained TiO2-NPs/g-C3N4 exhibited dual-peak multicolor ECL emission under cyclic voltammetry scanning by using K2S2O8 as co-reagent. The first ECL peak (ECL-1) is composed of turquoise blue ECL emission (471 nm) located at -1.3 V and olive green ECL emission (490 nm) ranging from -1.4 to -2.0 V. The second ECL peak (ECL-2) is composed of navy blue ECL emission (458 nm) located at -3.0 V. The ECL mechanism for the potential-resolved multicolor ECL emission was proposed. Furthermore, the first ECL imaging sensing method was fabricated for the sensitive quantitative detection of rutin based on the effective quenching effect of rutin on the ECL of TiO2-NPs/g-C3N4. The linear response range is 0.005-400 µM with detection limit as low as 2 nM. This work presents a simple way to prepare g-C3N4-based nanocomposites with potential-resolved multicolor ECL, which broadens the potential applications of g-C3N4-based nanocomposites for ECL imaging sensing and light-emitting devices.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence and severity of symptoms of patients with cervical cancer within 6 months after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, form a symptom burden report, evaluate the distribution characteristics of symptoms, identify symptom clusters, and provide a basis for clinical doctors and nurses to improve the symptom management of patients with cervical cancer after radiotherapy and chemotherapy. METHODS: The patients with cervical cancer within 6 months after radiotherapy and chemotherapy were recruited to investigate their symptom burden. Exploratory factor analysis was used to identify symptom clusters. RESULTS: A total of 250 patients participated in the study. The study found that the most common symptom among the 40 symptoms was fatigue, and the most serious symptom was nocturia. Based on the occurrence rate and severity of symptoms, nine symptom clusters were identified, including psycho-emotion-related symptom cluster, pain-disturbed sleep-related symptom cluster, menopausal symptom cluster, tinnitus-dizziness-related symptom cluster, urinary-related symptom cluster, dry mouth-bitter taste-related symptom cluster, intestinal-related symptom cluster, memory loss-numbness-related symptom cluster, and emaciation-related symptom cluster. The three most serious symptom clusters are pain-disturbed sleep-related symptom cluster, urinary-related symptom cluster, and memory loss-numbness-related symptom cluster. CONCLUSION: The symptoms of patients with cervical cancer within 6 months after radiotherapy and chemotherapy are complex, and nine symptom clusters can be identified according to the incidence and severity of symptoms. We can find the potential biological mechanism of each symptom cluster through the discussion of previous mechanism research and clinical research. The number of symptom clusters and the number of symptoms within the symptom cluster are closely related to the symptom evaluation scale selected for the study. Therefore, the symptom cluster study urgently needs a targeted symptom evaluation scale that can comprehensively reflect the patient's condition.
