ABSTRACT

Epithelial ovarian cancer is among the deadliest gynecological tumors worldwide. Clinical treatment usually consists of surgery and adjuvant chemo- and radiotherapies. Due to the high rate of recurrence and rapid development of drug resistance, the current focus of research is on finding effective natural products with minimal toxic side effects for treating epithelial ovarian tumors. Cannabidiol is among the most abundant cannabinoids and has a non-psychoactive effect compared to tetrahydrocannabinol, which is a key advantage for clinical application. Studies have shown that cannabidiol has antiproliferative, pro-apoptotic, cytotoxic, antiangiogenic, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. However, its therapeutic value for epithelial ovarian tumors remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the effects of cannabidiol on epithelial ovarian tumors and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. The results showed that cannabidiol has a significant inhibitory effect on epithelial ovarian tumors. In vivo experiments demonstrated that cannabidiol could inhibit tumor growth by modulating the intestinal microbiome and increasing the abundance of beneficial bacteria. Western blot assays showed that cannabidiol bound to EGFR/AKT/MMPs proteins and suppressed EGFR/AKT/MMPs expression in a dose-dependent manner. Network pharmacology and molecular docking results suggested that cannabidiol could affect the EGFR/AKT/MMPs signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

Sound speed is a critical parameter in ocean acoustic studies, as it determines the propagation and interpretation of recorded sounds. The potential for exploiting oceanic vessel noise as a sound source of opportunity to estimate ocean sound speed profile is investigated. A deep learning-based inversion scheme, relying upon the underwater radiated noise of moving vessels measured by a single hydrophone, is proposed. The dataset used for this study consists of Automatic Identification System data and acoustic recordings of maritime vessels transiting through the Santa Barbara Channel between January 2015 and December 2017. The acoustic recordings and vessel descriptors are used as predictors for regressing sound speed for each meter in the top 200 m of the water column, where sound speeds are most variable. Multiple (typically ranging between 4 and 10) transits were recorded each day; therefore, this dataset provides an opportunity to investigate whether multiple acoustic observations can be leveraged together to improve inversion estimates. The proposed single-transit and multi-transit models resulted in depth-averaged root-mean-square errors of 1.79 and 1.55 m/s, respectively, compared to the seasonal average predictions of 2.80 m/s.

ABSTRACT

In the age of Internet of Things, electrophoretic electronic paper (E-paper) holds a unique position in the display area due to its energy-saving, environmental friendliness, excellent readability in strong ambient light, and eye protection. Compared with E-papers of microcapsules, microcups have several advantages including higher mechanical strength, lower production costs, and better feasibility to show multiple colors with high contrast, thereby making it a significant research interest. However, there is currently no systematic study on the structural mechanics and display performances of microcups. Herein, we simulate the structural stability of microcups with various shapes and sizes during nanoimprint process, and also calculated the aperture ratio of these microcups. We fabricated devices with different geometrical morphologies to verify the microcups for achieving a balance between high contrast, high transmittance and high structural stability. This study provides a new method for designing and manufacturing the E-papers of microcups in using nanoimprint roll-to-roll (R2R) production.

ABSTRACT

In-plane switching electrophoretic display (IPS-EPD) is an emerging field of display technology which achieves particles moving horizontally through a lateral electric field. Compared to vertically driven electrophoretic display (V-EPD), IPS-EPD exhibits the feasibility of transparent display function. However, most of the previous research was hindered by long response time, low optical transmittance, or complex structures. In this paper, we have proposed a newly developed electrode layout and driving waveform for IPS-EPD, achieving a device with fast response time of 0.32 s, high transmittance of 58.07%, good transmittance-contrast ratio of 11.25, and simple structure, which show a significant improvement over other related research. Additionally, we elucidated the physical mechanism for the device through developing a particles motion simulation. Finally, we presented a prototype of an IPS-EPD with TFT panel, which exhibits excellent performance in various application scenarios, making it a possible application prospect in mobile phone cases, glasses, windows, and so on.

ABSTRACT

To enhance the proton conductivity of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK), proton-conducting groups are required to be covalently connected to SPEEK and form proton-conducting channels. Herein, SPEEK fully grafted with segments containing multiple, flexible propanesulfonic acid groups (MS-SPEEK-102) is successfully prepared. Compared with SPEEK, MS-SPEEK-102 exhibits a higher proton conductivity of 8.3 × 10-2  S cm-1 at 80 °C with 98% relative humidity, and consequently a greater power density of 0.530 W cm-2 at 60 °C. These can be ascribed to the increased number of sulfonic acid groups, and ample, uninterrupted proton-conducting channels constructed by the movement of the maximum content, flexible side-chain segments. This approach offers an idea for obtaining a proton exchange membrane with good proton conductivity based on SPEEK.

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the shoulder anatomical characteristics in asymptomatic Chinese adults. METHODS: The prospective study enrolled individuals without shoulder pain at Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University between January 2019 and January 2020. Six radiographic parameters were measured and analyzed, including glenoid plane to the acromion (GA), glenoid plane to the lateral aspect of the humeral head (GH), acromion index (AI), lateral acromial angle (LAA), acromion-humeral interval (AHI), and critical shoulder angle (CSA). RESULTS: 103 participants (51 males and 52 females) were enrolled. The mean values of GA, GH, AI, CSA, LAA, and AHI were 32.88 ± 5.68 mm, 47.16 ± 4.82 mm, 0.70 ± 0.11, 37.45 ± 6.00°, 6.32 ± 3.99°, and 9.611.86 mm, respectively. Females had lower GA (30.78 ± 5.06 vs. 35.01 ± 5.51 mm, P < 0.001) and GH (44.28 ± 3.67 vs. 50.11 ± 4.02 mm, P < 0.001) than males and LAA was significantly smaller in the Bigliani flat type compared with the curved type and the hooked type (5.07 ± 2.31° vs 12.33 ± 5.46°vs 10.00 ± 3.37, P = 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Females had lower GA and GH than males in asymptomatic Chinese Han adults. Asymptomatic Chinese Han subjects with Bigliani flat type had lower LAA. CSA appears lager in Chinese Han individuals. Curve type of acromion performed lager LAA. The results may help establish an anatomical model of the shoulder joint and elucidate the anatomy features of the shoulder joint in asymptomatic Chinese Han adults.

ABSTRACT

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the most common and fatal subtype of ovarian malignancies, with no effective therapeutics available. Our previous studies have demonstrated extraordinary suppressive efficacy of enterolactone (ENL) on EOC. A chemotherapeutic agent, trabectedin (Trabe), is shown to be effective on ovarian cancer, especially when combined with other therapeutics, such as pegylated liposomal doxorubicin or oxaliplatin. Thrombospondin 1 (THBS1), a kind of matrix glycoprotein, plays important roles against cancer development through inhibiting angiogenesis but whether it is involved in the suppression of EOC by ENL or Trabe remains unknown. To test combined suppressive effects of ENL and Trabe on EOC and possible involvement of THBS1 in the anticancer activities of ENL and Trabe. The EOC cell line ES-2 was transfected with overexpressed THBS1 by lentivirus vector. We employed tube formation assay to evaluate the anti-angiogenesis activity of ENL and of its combined use with Trabe after THBS1 overexpression and established drug intervention and xenograft nude mouse cancer models to assess the in vivo effects of the hypothesized synergistic suppression between the agents and the involvement of THBS1. Mouse fecal samples were collected for 16S rDNA sequencing and microbiota analysis. We detected strong inhibitory activities of ENL and Trabe against the proliferation and migration of cancer cells and observed synergistic effects between ENL and Trabe in suppressing EOC. ENL and Trabe, given either separately or in combination, could suppress the tube formation capability of human microvascular endothelial cells, and this inhibitory effect became even stronger with THBS1 overexpression. In the ENL plus Trabe combination group, the expression of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 3 and cluster of differentiation 36 was both upregulated, whereas matrix metalloproteinase 9, vascular endothelial growth factor, and cluster of differentiation 47 were all decreased. With the overexpression of THBS1, the results became even more pronounced. In animal experiments, combined use of ENL and Trabe showed superior inhibitory effects to either single agent and significantly suppressed tumor growth, and the overexpression of THBS1 further enhanced the anti-cancer activities of the drug combination group. ENL and Trabe synergistically suppress EOC and THBS1 could remarkably facilitate the synergistic anticancer effects of ENL and Trabe.

ABSTRACT

Garlic, originating in the mountains of Central Asia, has undergone domestication and subsequent widespread introduction to diverse regions. Human selection for adaptation to various climates has resulted in the development of numerous garlic varieties, each characterized by specific morphological and physiological traits. However, this process has led to a loss of fertility and seed production in garlic crops. In this study, we conducted morpho-physiological and transcriptome analyses, along with whole-genome resequencing of 41 garlic accessions from different regions, in order to assess the variations in reproductive traits among garlic populations. Our findings indicate that the evolution of garlic crops was associated with mutations in genes related to vernalization and the circadian clock. The decline in sexual reproduction is not solely attributed to a few mutations in specific genes, but is correlated with extensive alterations in the genetic regulation of the annual cycle, stress adaptations, and environmental requirements. The regulation of flowering ability, stress response, and metabolism occurs at both the genetic and transcriptional levels. We conclude that the migration and evolution of garlic crops involve substantial and diverse changes across the entire genome landscape. The construction of a garlic pan-genome, encompassing genetic diversity from various garlic populations, will provide further insights for research into and the improvement of garlic crops.

Ramie (Boehmeria nivea) is an economically important natural fiber-producing crop that has been cultivated for thousands of years in China; however, the evolution of this crop remains largely unknown. Here, we report a ramie domestication analysis based on genome assembly and resequencing of cultivated and wild accessions. Two chromosome-level genomes representing wild and cultivated ramie were assembled de novo. Numerous structural variations between two assemblies, together with the genetic variations from population resequencing, constituted a comprehensive genomic variation map for ramie. Domestication analysis identified 71 high-confidence selective sweeps comprising 320 predicted genes, and 29 genes from sweeps were associated with fiber growth in the expression. In addition, we identified seven genetic loci associated with the fiber yield trait in the segregated population derived from the crossing of two assembled accessions, and two of which showed an overlap with the selective sweeps. These findings indicated that bast fiber traits were focused on during the domestication history of ramie. This study sheds light on the domestication of ramie and provides a valuable resource for biological and breeding studies of this important crop.

ABSTRACT

A novel highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N6) clade 2.3.4.4b virus was isolated from a poultry market in China that a person with a confirmed case had visited. Most genes of the avian and human H5N6 isolates were closely related. The virus also exhibited distinct antigenicity to the Re-11 vaccine strain.

ABSTRACT

Ramie is an important fibre-producing crop in China; however, the genetic basis of its agronomic traits remains poorly understood. We produced a comprehensive map of genomic variation in ramie based on resequencing of 301 landraces and cultivars. Genetic analysis produced 129 signals significantly associated with six fibre yield-related traits, and several genes were identified as candidate genes for respective traits. Furthermore, we found that natural variations in the promoter region of Bnt14G019616 were associated with extremely low fibre abundance, providing the first evidence for the role of pectin methylesterase in fibre growth of plants. Additionally, nucleotide diversity analysis revealed that breeding selection has been markedly focussed on chromosome 9 in which ~ 39.6% sequence underwent selection, where one gibberellin-signalling-repressed DELLA gene showed distinct selection signatures in the cultivars. This study provides insights into the genetic architecture and breeding history of fibre yield traits in ramie. Moreover, the identification of fibre yield-related genetic loci and large-scale genomic variation represent valuable resources for genomics-assisted breeding of this crop.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of entecavir(ETV) versus ETV maleate in Chinese patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB). This was a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, controlled, multicentre study. Patients were randomly assigned to receive 48 weeks of treatment with 0.5 mg/day ETV (group A) or 0.5 mg/day ETV maleate (group B), then, all patients received treatment with 0.5 mg/day ETV maleate from week 49 onwards. Patients were regularly followed up. Serum hepatitis B virus (HBV) markers were detected. Adverse events (AE) were recorded. The primary endpoint was the decline in HBV DNA in each group at the end of treatment. Secondary endpoints included the rate of HBV DNA below the lower limit of detection (LLOD) (20 I U/ml) at the end of treatment, the rate of hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) loss, the rate of HBeAg seroconversion and serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) normalization. One hundred and thirty-seven (71 in group A) patients with HBeAg-positive CHB and 46 (21 in group A) patients with HBeAg-negative CHB completed the 240-week treatment and follow-up. Baseline characteristics were well balanced between the two groups. For the HBeAg-positive CHB patients, the mean HBV DNA level had similarly decreased from baseline in both groups (A: by 6.67 log10 IU/ml vs. B: by 6.74 log10 IU/ml; p > .05) at Week 240. Patients who achieved undetectable levels of serum HBV DNA (<20 IU/ml) at Week 240 were similar between groups (A:91.55% vs. B:87.88%; p > .05). Both groups achieved similar HBeAg seroconversion rates at week 240 (A:26.98% vs. B:20.97%; p > .05). Both groups achieved similar normalization of ALT (A:87.32% vs. B:83.61%; p > .05) at Week 240 (p > .05). For the HBeAg-negative CHB patients, the mean HBV DNA level had similarly decreased from baseline in both groups (A: by 6.05 log10 IU/ml vs. B: by 6.10 log10 IU/ml; p > .05) at Week 240. Patients who achieved undetectable levels of serum HBV DNA at Week 240 were similar between groups (A:100% vs. B:100%). Both groups achieved similar normalization rates (A:90.91% vs. B: 95.45%; p > .05) of ALT at Week 240 (p > .05). In conclusion, long-term ETV maleate treatment was safe and efficient in Chinese CHB predominantly of genotype B or C.

Surface modification manipulates the application performance of materials, and thrombosis caused by material contact is a key risk factor of biomaterials failure in blood-contacting/implanting devices. Therefore, building a safe and effective hemocompatibility platform is still urgent. Owing to the unique properties of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers, in this study, modified surfaces with varying dendrimer densities were interacted with elements maintaining blood homeostasis. These included the plasma proteins bovine serum albumin and fibrinogen, cells in blood (platelets and erythrocyte), as well as endothelial cells (ECs), and the objective was to evaluate the blood compatibility of the chosen materials. Whole blood test and dynamic blood circulation experiment by the arteriovenous shunt mode of rabbit were also conducted, based on the complexity and fluidity of blood. The PAMAM-modified substrates, particularly that with a high density of PAMAM (N1.0), adsorbed proteins with lessened fibrinogen adsorption, reduced platelet activation and aggregation, and suppressed clotting in whole blood and dynamic blood testing. Furthermore, the designed PAMAM dendrimer densities were safe and showed negligible erythrocyte lysis. Concurrently, PAMAM modification could maintain EC growth and did not trigger the release of procoagulant factors. These results suggest that the PAMAM-modified materials are compatible for maintaining blood homeostasis. Thus, PAMAM dendrimers can work as excellent surface modifiers for constructing a hemocompatibility platform and even a primer layer for desired functional design, promoting the service performance of blood-contacting devices.

Pasteurella multocida (P. multocida) can cause severe respiratory disease in cattle, resulting in high mortality and morbidity. Inflammasomes are multiprotein complexes in the cytoplasm that recognize pathogens and play an important role in the host defense against microbial infection. In this study, the mechanism of P. multocida-induced NLRP6 inflammasome activation was investigated in vitro and in vivo. Firstly, P. multocida induced severe inflammation with a large number of inflammatory cells infiltrating the lungs of WT and Nlrp6-/- mice. Nlrp6-/- mice were more susceptible to P. multocida infection and they had more bacterial burden in the lungs. Then, the recruitment of macrophages and neutrophils in the lungs was investigated and the results show that the number of immune cells was significantly decreased in Nlrp6-/- mice. Subsequently, NLRP6 was shown to regulate P. multocida-induced inflammatory cytokine secretion including IL-1ß and IL-6 both in vivo and in vitro while TNF-α secretion was not altered. Moreover, NLRP6 was found to mediate caspase-1 activation and ASC oligomerization, resulting in IL-1ß secretion. Furthermore, NLRP6 inflammasome mediated the gene expression of chemokines including CXCL1, CXCL2 and CXCR2 which drive the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes. Finally, NLRP3 protein expression was detected to be abrogated in P. multocida-infected Nlrp6-/- macrophages, indicating the synergic effect of NLRP6 and NLRP3. Our study demonstrates that NLRP6 inflammasome plays an important role in the host against P. multocida infection and contributes to the development of immune therapeutics against P. multocida.

ABSTRACT

An iridium-catalyzed hydrogen transfer strategy, enabling straightforward access to tetrahydropyridine derivatives from aryl-1,8-naphthyridines and indolines was developed. This method has unprecedented advantages, including high step economy. In addition, it does not produce any byproducts or require an external high-pressure H2 gas source. The method offers an important platform for the transformation of 1,8-naphthyridines and indolines into functionalized products.

BACKGROUND: Any abnormal structures that contribute to the narrowing of the ischiofemoral space could induce ischiofemoral impingement. Bernese periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) medializes the hip center and, therefore, decreases contact stress on the cartilage in developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). However, medialization of the hip center might also narrow the ischiofemoral space, which may increase the risk of postoperative ischiofemoral impingement in patients with acetabular dysplasia who are undergoing PAO. Furthermore, the dysplastic hip has less ischiofemoral space and less space for the quadratus femoris. A few studies have focused on the amount of medialization of the hip center, but the proportion of postoperative ischiofemoral impingement after PAO has not been investigated. QUESTIONS/PURPOSES: (1) What proportion of patients develop ischiofemoral impingement after undergoing unilateral PAO for DDH? (2) What radiographic factors are associated with postoperative ischiofemoral impingement in patients who underwent PAO for DDH? (3) How much hip center medialization is safe so as to avoid postoperative ischiofemoral impingement during PAO? METHODS: Between 2014 and 2016, we treated 265 adult patients who had symptomatic residual acetabular dysplasia (lateral center-edge angle less than 20°) using PAO. During that time, we generally offered PAO to patients with acetabular dysplasia when the patients had no advanced osteoarthritis (Tönnis grade < 2). Of those, we considered only patients who underwent primary PAO without femoral osteotomy as potentially eligible. Based on that, 65% (173 of 265) were eligible; a further 9% (24 of 265) were excluded due to leg length discrepancy, spine disorders, or joint replacement in the contralateral side, and another 6% (17 of 265) of patients were lost before the minimum study follow-up of 2 years or had incomplete datasets, leaving 50% (132 of 265) for analysis in this retrospective study at a mean of 2.70 ± 0.71 years. The diagnosis of ischiofemoral impingement was defined by symptoms, MRI, and diagnostic ischiofemoral injection. We ascertained the percentage of patients with this diagnosis to answer the first research question. To answer the second question, we divided the patients into two groups: PAO patients with ischiofemoral impingement and PAO patients without ischiofemoral impingement. The demographic data and preoperative imaging parameters of patients in both groups were compared. There were statistical differences in acetabular version, ischial angle, neck-shaft angle, the presence of positive coxa profunda sign, McKibbin index, ischiofemoral space, quadratus femoris space, anterior acetabular section angle, and the net amount of hip center medialization. To investigate potential factors associated with postoperative ischiofemoral impingement in patients who underwent PAO, these factors underwent binary logistic regression analysis. To answer the third question, the cutoff value of the net amount of hip center medialization was evaluated using receiver operator characteristic curve and the Youden index method. RESULTS: We found that 26% (35 of 132) of PAO dysplastic hips had postoperative ischiofemoral impingement. After controlling for confounding variables such as acetabular version, ischial angle, femoral neck version, McKibbin index, and ischiofemoral space, we found that an increasing neck-shaft angle (odds ratio 1.14 [95% confidence interval 1.01 to 1.29]; p = 0.03), a positive coxa profunda sign (OR 0.13 [95% CI 0.03 to 0.58]; p < 0.01), and an increasing net amount of hip center medialization (OR 2.76 [95% CI 1.70 to 4.47]; p < 0.01) were associated with postoperative ischiofemoral impingement in patients with DDH who underwent PAO (R 2 = 0.73). The cutoff values of neck-shaft angle was 138.4°. The cutoff values of the net amount of hip center medialization was 1.9 mm. CONCLUSIONS: Postoperative ischiofemoral impingement could occur in patients with acetabular dysplasia who have undergone PAO after hip center medialization. An increasing neck-shaft angle, a positive coxa profunda sign on preoperative imaging, and excessive medialization of the hip center are factors associated with ischiofemoral impingement development in these patients. Therefore, we suggest that physicians measure the ischiofemoral space on a preoperative CT when patients with DDH have an increasing neck-shaft angle (> 138.4°) or a positive coxa profunda sign on radiological imaging. During PAO, the amount of hip center medialization should be carefully controlled to keep these patients from developing postoperative ischiofemoral impingement. ABSTRACT

This paper presents the design and fabrication of a profiling float primarily used for thermocline observations and tracking, with an emphasis on depth control performance. The proposed float consists of a frame-type electronic chamber and a variable buoyancy system (VBS) actuator chamber. Components or sensors can be added or removed according to specific requirements. All components were off the shelf, which lowered the cost of the float. In addition, a segment PD control method is introduced. Simulink results showed that there was no need to change any parameter when carrying out tasks at different depths. This method is superior to the traditional PD control and sliding mode control (SMC). In the process of diving, the speed could be well controlled to less than 0.2 m/s. We completed depth determination and control method validation in Qiandao Lake. The final results were consistent with the simulation results, and the maximum depth retention error was less than 0.3 m. Field tests also demonstrated that the prototype float can be used for thermocline observations in the upper layer of seawater or lake water.

Vascular stent service involves complex service environments and performance requirements, among which the histocompatibility of the stent could seriously affect the therapeutic effect. In the pathology of vascular disease, the thin fiber cap is easily ruptured, exposing the necrotic core below, and triggering a series of dangerous biochemical reactions. In contrast, the thin neointima, considered an essential structure growing on the stent, may evolve into vulnerable plaque structures due to lesions induced by the stent. Therefore, the reduction of necrosis around the stent below the thin neointima is indispensable. In this work, different cell model experiments suggested that the content of endogenous labile Zn positively correlated with cell injury. Zinquin-Zn fluorescence experiments and zinc ion channels research suggested that the change in the content of endogenous labile Zn in smooth muscle cells is affected by different stent coatings. The content of endogenous labile Zn in cells negatively correlated with cell viability. Animal experiments indirectly verified the increase in endogenous labile Zn by detecting the expression of Zn regulatory protein (metallothionein) in the necrotic tissues. Reducing the content of endogenous labile Zn may favor a reduction in smooth muscle cell injury and necrosis. This biochemical mechanism is effective in improving the therapeutic effect of vascular stents.

ABSTRACT

Carbon nanodots are fascinating candidates for the field of biomedicine, in applications such as bioimaging and drug delivery. However, the nuclear penetrability and process are rarely studied and lack understanding, which limits their applications for drug carriers, single-molecule detection and live cell imaging. In this study, we attempt to examine the uptake of CNDs in cells with a focus on the potential nuclear penetrability using enhanced dark-field microscopy (EDFM) associated with hyperspectral imaging (HSI) to quantitatively determine the light scattering signals of CNDs in the cells. The effects of both CND incubation time and concentration are investigated, and plausible nuclear penetration involving the nuclear pore complex (NPC) is discussed. The experimental results and an analytical model demonstrate that the CNDs' uptake proceeds by a concentration-dependent three-stage behavior and saturates at a CND incubation concentration larger than 750 µg/mL, with a half-saturated concentration of 479 µg/mL. These findings would potentially help the development of CNDs' utilization in drug carriers, live cell imaging and other biomedical applications.

ABSTRACT

The design and creation of soft porous crystals combining regularity and flexibility may promote potential applications for gas storage and separation due to their deformable framework's responsiveness to external stimuli. The flexibility of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) relies on alterable degrees of freedom that are mainly provided by organic linkers or the junctions linking organic and inorganic building units. Herein, we report a new dynamic MOF whose flexibility originates from an unprecedented tailorable Mn8 O38 -cluster and shows simultaneous coordination geometry changes and ligand migration that are reversibly driven by guest exchange. This provides an extra degree of freedom to the framework's deformation, resulting in three-dimensional variations in the framework that subtly respond to varied aromatic molecules. The gas adsorption behavior of this flexible MOF was evaluated, and the selective separation of light hydrocarbons and Freon gases is achieved.
