OBJECTIVE: To illustrate the effectiveness of hysteroscopic endometrial resection in conservative treatment of early endometrial cancer/atypical hyperplasia in women of reproductive age. METHODS: Review of outcomes of women of reproductive age who underwent fertility sparing treatment (hysteroscopic superficial endometrectomy followed by progestin therapy) in early endometrial cancer. RESULTS: Eight women with Stage I endometrial cancer and three with atypical endometrial hyperplasia underwent hysteroscopic superficial endometrial resection, followed by 1-year treatment with oral megestrol acetate. One patient had a synchronous endometrioid ovarian carcinoma. One patient with Grade 2 carcinoma opted for conservative treatment and had hysterectomy 3 months later for persisting disease. Ten patients showed no evidence of residual disease during a 12-month follow-up period with regular hysteroscopy. Five patients had seven pregnancies without assisted reproductive technology. One patient got pregnant after one attempt of in-vitro fertilization and oocyte donation. Pregnancy rate was 54.5%; two patients had two successful pregnancies and deliveries. Average time to pregnancy was 16 months from the end of treatment. All babies were delivered vaginally. CONCLUSION: Total superficial endometrial resection followed by progestin can be considered in patients with early endometrial cancer/atypical hyperplasia who still want to conceive. It does not seem to impair fertility nor pregnancy outcomes in women of reproductive age.

The aim of this study was to evaluate an oocyte pick-up (OPU) simulation training program for residents using the high fidelity PickUpSimTM (Accurate, Cesena, Italy) simulator. The authors carried out an observational study during an OPU simulation workshop. A successful scenario was defined as an oocyte retrieval rate ≥70% without any complications. Forty-six residents affiliated to 23 different French university hospitals were included, and 37/46 (80.4%) of them successfully completed the scenario with a mean time of 3.4 ± 1.1 minutes. The oocyte retrieval rate was 442/561 (78.8%). All residents found training beneficial and 41/46 (87%) were in favour of having simulation-based training programs for OPU in their reproductive medicine departments. All residents who had previous experience with OPU (11/11) recommended the use of a simulator before performing OPU. This study confirms that high-fidelity OPU simulation is a simple and efficient method for training residents.Impact statementWhat is already known on this subject? Simulator-based training has been shown to be effective and useful for oocyte pick-up (OPU) training.What the results of this study add? All residents found the simulation program beneficial and formative, with 80% successfully completing their scenarios in a mean time of 3.4 ± 1.1 minutes. All residents who had previous experience with OPU recommended the use of a simulator before performing OPU.What the implications are of these findings for clinical practice and/or further research? Prospective studies are needed to confirm the short- and long-term positive clinical impact of OPU simulation training programs.

RESEARCH QUESTION: Is there any metabolomic evidence of impairment of the cumulus-oocyte complex (COC) microenvironment in the follicular fluid of women with endometriosis? DESIGN: A prospective observational study from January to July 2018 at the Angers University Hospital, France. Seventy-nine women undergoing IVF with or without intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) were included: 39 for endometriosis-related infertility and 40 controls with other causes of infertility. A targeted quantitative metabolomic and lipidomic analysis was performed. RESULTS: Patient characteristics (age, body mass index, smoking status, hormonal profile and ovarian reserve markers) were comparable between the endometriosis and the control groups. There was no significant difference in the cumulative FSH dose used for stimulation between the endometriosis and the control groups (2732 versus 2257 IU, respectively). There were no differences in the oocyte maturity rates (72.2% versus 77.7%), or in the fertilization rates in IVF and ICSI (49.4% versus 50.2% and 76.4% versus 68.8%, respectively) between the endometriosis and control groups. Among the 188 metabolites analysed, 150 were accurately measured. Univariate analysis did not reveal any significant modification of metabolite concentrations, and none of the multivariate models discriminated between the two groups of patients, even when the study was restricted to the most severe form of endometriosis. CONCLUSIONS: No specific metabolomic signature of endometriosis was found in the follicular fluid of women undergoing IVF. These results suggest that there is no microenvironmental impairment of the COC in cases of isolated endometriosis among women with infertility.

BACKGROUND: Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is a major cause of maternal morbidity and one of the leading causes of maternal mortality worldwide. Many medical treatments and interventions are available nowadays, but surgical treatment is sometimes required when less invasive methods are unsuccessful. This study aimed to assess the theoretical and practical knowledge of French residents of Obstetrics and Gynecology concerning the surgical treatment of postpartum haemorrhage. STUDY DESIGN: We performed a questionnaire study for senior residents of Obstetrics and Gynecology in France (fourth and fifth year of training). An anonymous survey was sent by email. Between December 2013 and April 2014, a total of 370 residents responded. RESULT: The response rate was 47.6% (176/370). Only 156 questionnaires were fully completed and included for analysis. In all, 74% (115/156) of residents reported not mastering sufficiently or at all the technique for bilateral ligation of uterine arteries, 79% (123/156) for uterine compression sutures, 95% (148/156) for ligation of the internal iliac arteries, and 78% (122/156) for emergency peripartum hysterectomy. More than half of respondents (55%, 86/156) stated that they had not mastered any of these techniques. CONCLUSION: An alarmingly high number of French senior residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology report that they have not acquired the sufficient surgical skills during their training to be able to perform the surgeries required for the management of PPH.

This cohort study assessed whether timing therapeutic donor sperm inseminations (TDI) in natural cycles (NC) using ultrasound monitoring and ovulation trigger with human chorionic gonadotrophin (US/HCG) improves cumulative live birth rates (LBR) compared with detection of LH surge with urinary kits (u-LH). It included 232 normo-ovulatory women aged ≤40 years, undergoing 538 TDI in NC between 2011 and 2014. In the u-LH group (113 women, 267 cycles), TDI was performed the day following a positive test. In the US/HCG group (119 women, 271 cycles), ovulation was triggered with HCG when a follicle ≥17 mm was noted, and TDI performed 36 h later. The first three cycles were analysed per patient. Groups were comparable for baseline characteristics. Cumulative LBR were comparable between u-LH and US/HCG groups (31.47% versus 23.11%, respectively) (log-rank test). A generalized estimating equation analysis was performed to compare outcomes per cycle. The LBR per started cycle was comparable between the u-LH and US/HCG groups (12.4% versus 9.2%, respectively). Cancellation rate was significantly higher with u-LH (19.1% versus 11.4%, P = 0.011), but did not impact overall outcomes. In conclusion, urinary LH monitoring is as effective as ultrasound monitoring and ovulation trigger with HCG in TDI performed in NC.

AIM: To compare clomiphene citrate (CC) and letrozole for ovarian stimulation (OS) in therapeutic donor sperm insemination (TDI) cycles. METHODS: Retrospective cohort study between January 2011 and June 2014 at a University-affiliated private IVF clinic in Montreal, Canada. 257 normo-ovulatory women ≤40 years of age with no history of infertility undergoing 590 TDI cycles in the absence of a male partner (single women and same-sex couples) or azoospermia were included. Patients received 100 mg CC daily (145 women, 321 cycles) or letrozole 5 mg daily (112 women, 269 cycles), from days 3 to 7. Only the first 3 cycles were included per patient. Our main outcome measure was cumulative live birth rates (LBR). RESULTS: Baseline characteristics were comparable between the 2 groups. There were no differences in LBR per cycle (16.5% (53/321) vs. 11.5% (31/269), p = 0.08) and cumulative LBR (36.6% (53/145) vs. 27.7% (31/112), p = 0.13), between CC and letrozole, respectively. Multiple pregnancy rate (11.6% (8/69) vs. 8.7% (4/46), p = 0.6) and miscarriage rate (21.7 vs. 21.7%, p = 1) were also comparable between CC and letrozole, respectively. CONCLUSION: In normo-ovulatory women undergoing TDI, OS with CC or letrozole resulted in similar live birth and twin pregnancy rates.

Quality of life of young cancer survivors has become a major issue. However, anticancer therapies can have a detrimental impact on fertility. It is now well-established that all patients should receive information about the fertility risks associated with their cancer treatment and the fertility preservation options available. Currently, oocyte or embryo banking after controlled ovarian hyperstimulation represents the most effective method for preserving female fertility. Over the past years innovative protocols of ovarian stimulation have been developed to enable cancer patients to undergo oocyte or embryo cryopreservation irrespective of the phase of the cycle or without exogenous follicle-stimulating hormone-related increase in serum estradiol levels. The present article reviews the different protocols of ovarian hyperstimulation for cancer patients, candidates for fertility preservation.

Turner syndrome (TS) occurs in one in 2500 live female births and is one of the most common chromosomal abnormalities in women. Pregnancies in women with TS, conceived with either autologous or donated oocytes, are considered high risk because of the associated miscarriages and life-threatening cardiovascular complications (aortic dissection, severe hypertension). Therefore, it is imperative to conduct a full preconception evaluation and counselling that includes cardiac assessment with Holter blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography, and thoracic MRI. Abnormal findings, such an aortic dilatation, mandate close monitoring throughout the pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period and could possibly contraindicate pregnancy. When in vitro fertilization using donated oocytes is performed in these women, only a single embryo should be transferred. Women with a Turner mosaic karyotype appear to have a lower risk of obstetrical and cardiovascular complications but should nevertheless undergo the full preconception evaluation. In this article, we offer guidelines on the management of women with TS in the preconception period, during pregnancy, and postpartum.

Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women of reproductive age, and is characterized by a high survival rate owing to improved antineoplastic treatments. Young survivors face the prospect of a diminished fertility as a consequence of the gonadotoxic chemotherapy, and many are seeking ways to preserve their fertility. Embryo and/or oocyte cryopreservation following controlled ovarian stimulation is currently the fertility preservation method of choice, but breast cancer patients may have contraindications to exogenous gonadotropin administration and may not have enough time to undergo ovarian stimulation prior to chemotherapy. Fortunately, many other options are available for these women, such as the letrozole-follicle-stimulating hormone ovarian stimulation protocol, in vitro maturation of oocytes and ovarian tissue cryopreservation. In this review, we discuss the benefits and disadvantages of the different fertility preservation techniques that can be offered to breast cancer patients.

Over the past 20 years, in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes has emerged in the strategy of infertility treatment, with the main indication being in patients suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). More recently, IVM has been proposed as an option for fertility preservation in women having to undergo gonadotoxic treatments. However, despite the increasing application of IVM, the potential of development of in vitro matured oocytes after thawing remains ill-established and few pregnancies have been reported so far. We report herein a case of live birth after frozen-thawed oocytes matured in vitro and embryo transfer during an artificial cycle in a 29-year-old patient with primary infertility due to PCOS. The present case demonstrates that the transfer of frozen-thawed IVM oocytes during an artificial cycle in PCOS patients is feasible and leads to pregnancy and live birth. This strategy may also be an interesting option to objectively assess the developmental potential of these oocytes after freezing and thawing, which is a major concern for physicians who include the IVM approach in their fertility preservation program.

OBJECTIVE: To compare two cancellation policies in controlled ovarian stimulation-intrauterine insemination (COS-IUI) cycles to lower the risk of multiple pregnancies (MP). DESIGN: We performed a bicentric retrospective cohort study in two academic medical centers: Angers (group A) and Besançon (group B) University Hospitals. We included 7056 COS-IUI cycles between 2011 and 2019. In group A, cancellation strategy was based on an algorithm taking into account the woman's age, the serum estradiol level, and the number of follicles of 14 mm or greater on ovulation trigger day. In group B, cancellation strategy was case-by-case and physician-dependent, based on the woman's age, number of follicles of 15 mm or greater, and the previous number of failed COS-IUI cycles, without any predefined cut-off. Our main outcome measures were the MP rate (MPR) and the live-birth rate (LBR). RESULTS: We included 884 clinical pregnancies (790 singletons, 86 twins, and 8 triplets) obtained from 6582 COS-IUI cycles. MPR was significantly lower in group A compared with group B (8.1% vs 13.3%, P = 0.01), but LBR were comparable (10.8% vs 11.8%, P = 0.19). Multivariate logistic regression found the following to be risk factors for MP: the "cancellation strategy" effect (adjusted odds ratio [aOR] 1.63, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.02-2.60) and the number of follicles of 14 mm or greater (aOR 1.39, 95% CI 1.16-1.66). Cycle cancellation rate for excessive response was significantly lower in group A compared with group B (1.3% vs 2.4%, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: The use of an algorithm based on the woman's age, serum estradiol level and number of follicles of at least 14 mm on trigger day allows the MPR to be reduced without impacting the LBR.

As antineoplastic treatments have become more successful, an increasing number of women with cancer survive to endure the long-term consequences of chemotherapy. One of the most important of these consequences in young females is premature ovarian failure and infertility. Owing to increasing survival rates, many of these young women are seeking methods to preserve their fertility. Currently, embryo/oocyte cryopreservation obtained after controlled ovarian stimulation appears to provide the best fertility preservation option. However, patients may not have enough time to undergo ovarian stimulation prior to chemotherapy and/or have contraindications to exogenous gonadotropin administration owing to estrogen-dependant tumors. In vitro maturation of oocytes is an attractive alternative for fertility preservation in cancer patients because it does not require ovarian stimulation and it can be performed at any time of the menstrual cycle. In addition, this technique can be combined with ovarian tissue cryobanking. In this review, we discuss the position of in vitro maturation of oocytes in the fertility preservation strategy in young women.

The objective was to assess whether the measurement of serum estradiol (E2) level on trigger day in controlled ovarian stimulation with intrauterine insemination (COS-IUI) cycles helps lower the multiple pregnancy (MP) rate. We performed a unicentric observational study. We included all patients who underwent COS-IUI and had a subsequent clinical pregnancy (CP) between 2011 and 2019. Our main outcome measure was the area under Receiver-Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. We included 455 clinical pregnancies (CP) obtained from 3387 COS-IUI cycles: 418 singletons, 35 twins, and 2 triplets. The CP, MP, and live birth rates were respectively 13.4%, 8.1% and 10.8%. The area under ROC curve for peak serum E2 was 0.60 (0.52-0.69). The mean E2 level was comparable between singletons and MP (260.1 ± 156.1 pg/mL vs. 293.0 ± 133.4 pg/mL, p = 0.21, respectively). Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that E2 level was not predictive of MP rate (aOR: 1.13 (0.93-1.37) and 1.06 (0.85-1.32), respectively). Our study shows that, when strict cancelation criteria based on the woman's age and follicular response on ultrasound are applied, the measurement of peak serum E2 levels does not help reduce the risk of MP in COS-IUI cycles.

Male infertility has increased in the last decade. Pathophysiologic mechanisms behind extreme oligospermia (EO) are not yet fully understood. In new "omics" approaches, metabolomic can offer new information and help elucidate these mechanisms. We performed a metabolomics study of the seminal fluid (SF) in order to understand the mechanisms implicated in EO. We realized a targeted quantitative analysis using high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry to compare the SF metabolomic profile of 19 men with EO with that of 22 men with a history of vasectomy (V) and 20 men with normal semen parameters (C). A total of 114 metabolites were identified. We obtained a multivariate OPLS-DA model discriminating the three groups. Signatures show significantly higher levels of amino acids and polyamines in C group. The sum of polyunsaturated fatty acids and free carnitine progressively decrease between the three groups (C > EO > V) and sphingomyelins are significantly lower in V group. Our signature characterizing EO includes metabolites already linked to infertility in previous studies. The similarities between the signatures of the EO and V groups are clear evidence of epididymal dysfunction in the case of testicular damage. This study shows the complexity of the metabolomic dysfunction occurring in the SF of EO men and underlines the importance of metabolomics in understanding male infertility.

OBJECTIVE: To validate a mathematical model to predict the mean time to delivery (TTD) following cervical ripening with dinoprostone vaginal insert (DVI), and assess its impact on the risk of nocturnal deliveries. METHODS: We performed a case-control retro-prospective study at Angers University Hospital. In the control group, we retrospectively included 405 patients who underwent cervical ripening with DVI between 01/2015 and 09/2016. Based on the delivery outcomes, we developed a mathematical model that integrates all the factors influencing TTD following cervical ripening with DVI. In the study group, we prospectively included 223 patients who underwent cervical ripening with DVI between 11/2017 and 11/2018. The timing of insertion was calculated using the mathematical model developed in the control group, in order to prevent the occurrence of nocturnal deliveries. RESULTS: The calculated mean TTD was significantly shorter than the real mean TTD (21h46 min ± 3h28 min versus 25h38 min ± 12h10 min, p < 0.001), and for 44% of patients, there was at least 10 h difference between the two. The real TTD (25h38 min ± 12H10 min versus 20h39 min ± 10h49, p < 0.001), and the rate of nocturnal deliveries (30.5% versus 21.2%, p = 0.01) were significantly higher in the study group compared to the control group. CONCLUSION: The mathematical model did not help predicting TTD following cervical ripening with DVI, and or reducing the number of nocturnal deliveries.

PURPOSE: To determine the risk of multiple pregnancies (MP) following conversion of in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles to intrauterine insemination (IUI) when a poor ovarian response (POR) is diagnosed during controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). METHODS: We undertook a retrospective study in our teaching hospital from January 2012 to December 2017. We included all IVF cycles with POR that were converted to IUI (<5 follicles ≥ 14 mm and peak estradiol level < 1000 pg/mL on trigger day). RESULTS: Overall, 205 IVF cycles that were converted to IUI in 128 patients were analyzed. Mean age was 34.1 ± 4.6 years, mean antral follicle count was 11 ± 5.3 and mean AMH was 1.8 ± 2.9 ng/L. The main causes of infertility were unexplained (41 %) (84/205) and diminished ovarian reserve (35 %) (72/205). Of all the cycles converted to IUI, 53 (26 %) had one mature follicle on trigger day, 56 (27 %) had 2, 56 (27 %) had 3, and 40 (20 %) had 4. The live birth rate (LBR) was 7.3 % (15/205), and the miscarriage rate was 28.6 % (6/21). There were 3 twin pregnancies, but no higher order pregnancies; the MP rate was 14.3 % (3/21). There was no significant difference in the MP rate between patients with 1-2 mature follicles and patients with 3-4 mature follicles (18.2 % vs 10 %, p = 0.99, respectively). CONCLUSION: In IVF cycles converted to IUI for poor response, the risk of MP is acceptable (14 %) with no higher order pregnancies, even with 3 or 4 follicles ≥14 mm on trigger day.

The objective was to compare the endometrial thickness (ET) in a frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle between transdermal and vaginal estrogen. Our secondary objectives were to compare the patient satisfaction and the pregnancy outcomes. Prospective monocentric cohort study between 01/2017 and 12/2017 at a single institution. Choice of administration was left to the patient. 119 cycles had transdermal estrogen (T-group) and 199 had vaginal estrogen (V-group). The ET at 10 ± 1 days of treatment was significantly higher in the T-group compared to the V-group (9.9 vs 9.3 mm, p = 0.03). In the T-group, the mean duration of treatment was shorter (13.6 vs 15.5 days, p < 0.001). The rate of cycle cancelation was comparable between the two groups (12.6% vs 8.5%, p = 0.24). Serum estradiol levels were significantly lower (268 vs 1332 pg/ml, p < 0.001), and serum LH levels were significantly higher (12.1 ± 16.5 vs 5 ± 7.5 mIU/ml, p < 0.001) in the T-group. Patient satisfaction was higher in the T-group (p = 0.04) and 85.7% (36/42) of women who had received both treatments preferred the transdermal over the vaginal route. Live birth rates were comparable between the two groups (18% vs 19%, p = 0.1). Transdermal estrogen in artificial FET cycles was associated with higher ET, shorter treatment duration and better tolerance.

BACKGROUND: Male factor is incriminated in approximately 50% of cases of infertility. The metabolomic approach has recently been used in the assessment of sperm quality and male fertility. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We analyzed the metabolomic signatures of the seminal plasma in 20 men with severe oligoasthenospermia (prewash total motile sperm count < 5.106 ) (SOA) and compared it to 20 men with normal semen parameters, with a standardized approach of targeted and quantitative metabolomics using high-performance liquid chromatography, coupled with tandem mass spectrometry, and the Biocrates Absolute IDQ p180 kit. RESULTS: Among the 188 metabolites analyzed, 110 were accurately measured in the seminal plasma. A robust model discriminating the two populations (Q2(cum) = 55.2%) was obtained by OPLS-DA (orthogonal partial least-squares discriminant analysis), based on the drop in concentrations of 37 metabolites with a VIP (variable important for projection) greater than 1. Overall, in men with SOA, there was a significant decrease in: 17 phosphatidylcholines and four sphingomyelins; acylcarnitines, with free L-carnitine being the most discriminating metabolite; polyunsaturated fatty acids; six amino acids (glutamate, aspartate, methionine, tryptophan, proline, and alanine); and four biogenic amines (spermine, spermidine, serotonin, and alpha-aminoadipate). DISCUSSION: Our signature includes several metabolic changes with different impacts on the sperm quality: a change in phospholipid composition and the saturation of their fatty acids that is potentially linked to the deterioration of sperm membranes; a carnitine deficiency that can negatively impact the energy production via fatty acid oxidation and oxidative phosphorylation; and a decreased level of amino acids and biogenic amines that can lead to dysregulated metabolic and signaling pathways. CONCLUSION: We provide a global overview of the metabolic defects contributing to the structural and functional alteration of spermatozoa in severe oligoasthenospermia. These findings offer new insights into the pathophysiology of male factor infertility that could help to develop future specific treatments.

In vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes retrieved at germinal vesicle stage, followed by vitrification of mature oocytes, has emerged as a fertility preservation (FP) option. This technique was first developed for patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome. In this population, providing LH activity prior to oocyte collection has been associated with better IVM outcomes. However, the benefit of this treatment in normo-ovulatory breast cancer (BC) patients undergoing IVM for FP purpose has never been investigated. To assess if the absence of therapeutic intervention prior to oocyte retrieval for IVM modifies IVM outcomes in BC patients undergoing urgent FP, we performed a non-inferiority, randomized controlled trial. The main outcome was the total number of mature oocytes obtained and cryopreserved after IVM. A total of 172 normo-ovulatory women, suffering from BC, 18 to 39 years of age received no injection or a subcutaneous injection of hCG or GnRH agonist (GnRHa) 36 h before oocytes retrieval according to randomized allocation. The total number of cryopreserved oocytes were 5.1 ± 3.8, 5.4 ± 3.8, and 6.0 ± 4.2 oocytes, respectively in the without, hCG and GnRHa groups. Mean differences were not significant between the three groups (- 0.5; CI 97.5% [- 2.03:1.02] and - 0.22; CI 97.5% [- 1.75:1.32], respectively). Intention to treat analyses failed to show non-inferiority in the "without injection group" in comparison with hCG or GnRHa groups. Our results are not conclusive enough to modify our practices and to stop administering hCG or GnRHa before IVM cycles for FP. The study was retrospectively registered to clinical trial (ID NCT03954197) in May 2019.

BACKGROUND: The variability in indications and low rate of pregnancy compared to IVF have led many authors to dismiss IUI and offer IVF first-line instead. OBJECTIVES: To determine what are the predictive factors for clinical pregnancy (CP) and live birth (LB) in intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles following controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). METHODS: Retrospective unicentric study, between January 2009 and December 2016. Patients aged 18 to <43 years who had an IUI following COS with gonadotropins. Statistical analysis was performed using Chi square and logistic regression. RESULTS: 4146 cycles (1312 couples) included. Mean age was 34.7 +/- 4years. LBR per couple was 39% for anovulatory infertility compared to (p < 0.05) unex-plained infertility (28.6%), mixed (23.4%), male factor (20.1%), unilateral tubal (14.2%), low ovarian reserve (13.2%), and endometriosis (stage I and II) (11.1%). Multivariate analysis showed the following factors were associated with CP: Cycle rank ≤3 (Odds ratio (OR) = 1.5, 95% CI: 1.2-1.9, p < 0.001), age <38 years (OR = 1.5, 95% CI: 1.2-2, p < 0.001), ≥2 preovulatory follicles (OR = 1.4, 95% CI: 1.1-1.8, p = 0.004), TMSC ≥ 5 millions (OR = 1.8, 95% CI: 1.3-2.4, p < 0.001). Endometriosis, low ovarian reserve, unilateral tubal and male factor had a negative impact on CPR (OR = 0.3, 95% CI: 0.1-0.5, p < 0.001; OR = 0.4, 95% CI: 0.3-0.7, p < 0.001; OR = 0.5 95% CI: 0.3-0.9, p = 0.01; OR = 0.6, 95% CI: 0.4-0.8, p = 0.002 respectively) compared to anovulatory infertility. CONCLUSION: We confirm that IUI can be an efficient treatment in selected indications. Young patients with anovulatory infertility seem to be the ideal candidates, with a 39% LBR per couple.
