RESUMEN

This review aims to analyze the developmental trajectory of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donors over the past three decades and explore the historical background, research hotspots, and emerging trends in related fields from a temporal perspective. A total of 5092 literature articles on H2S donors were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), encompassing 1303 journals, 20638 authors, 10992 institutions, and 459 countries and regions. Utilizing CiteSpace as a bibliometric tool, historical features, evolving active topics, and emerging trends in the field of H2S donors were identified. Over the past 30 years, the field of H2S donors has remained in a prominent stage. This article discusses both inorganic and organic types of H2S donors, including NaHS and Na2S, GYY4137, AP39, and AP123, as well as briefly outlines research and applications of H2S donors in nanotechnology, advanced materials, composite materials, nanostructures, and optical properties. Mechanistically, the review outlines how H2S donors regulate cellular signal transduction, anti-inflammatory responses, neuroprotection, and other pathways within the organism by modulating protein S-sulfhydration, antioxidant effects, and interactions with metal proteins. In terms of applications, the review summarizes the extensive use of H2S donors in biomedical research, encompassing cardiovascular, neurological, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer characteristics, as well as their potential applications in the treatment of metabolic diseases. Finally, challenges and limitations faced by H2S donor research are discussed, and potential future research directions are proposed.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a disease that affects the cognitive abilities of older adults, and it is one of the biggest global medical challenges of the 21st century. Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) can increase acetylcholine concentrations and improve cognitive function in patients, and is a potential target to develop small molecule inhibitors for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this study, 29 vilazodone-donepezil chimeric derivatives are systematically studied using 3D-QSAR modeling, and a robust and reliable Topomer CoMFA model was obtained with: q2 = 0.720, r2 = 0.991, F = 287.234, N = 6, and SEE = 0.098. Based on the established model and combined with the ZINC20 database, 33 new compounds with ideal inhibitory activity are successfully designed. Molecular docking and ADMET property prediction also show that these newly designed compounds have a good binding ability to the target protein and can meet the medicinal conditions. Subsequently, four new compounds with good comprehensive ability are selected for molecular dynamics simulation, and the simulation results confirm that the newly designed compounds have a certain degree of reliability and stability. This study provides guidance for vilazodone-donepezil chimeric derivatives as a potential AChE inhibitor and has certain theoretical value.

Mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (c-Met) is a tyrosine kinase receptor. Under certain disease conditions, the cellular transformation process may be over-activated, resulting in carcinogenesis. Therefore, molecularly targeted therapy targeting the receptor tyrosine kinase c-Met is achieved by inhibiting c-Met activity and thus effectively suppressing cancer propagation. In this paper, 41 compounds were selected from the reported literature as a dataset to build stable Topomer CoMFA and HQSAR models. The feasibility of the constructed models was evaluated by internal and external validation techniques. Based on the Topomer CoMFA model basis the fragments with higher contribution values were screened and the combination yielded 19 compounds with higher than template molecules. Through molecular docking, the ligand complexes formed hydrogen and hydrophobic bonds with strong stable structures. The ligand-protein complexes with better scoring results were selected for MD simulations, and Y14 exhibited a stable and favourable binding pocket. In addition, ADMET results showed that the ligand-complexes have potential medicinal effects on c-Met inhibition. This study provides a reference for molecularly targeted therapy targeting receptor tyrosine-kinetic c-Met.

The wide applications of terahertz (THz) wave technology in the ∼1-3 THz range has resulted in a surge in the demand for the performance improvement of THz wave detection technique. In this study, a frequency tunable, highly sensitive frequency upconversion detection based on a 2-(3-(4-hydroxystyryl)-5,5-dime-thylcyclohex-2-enylidene) malononitrile (OH1) crystal at room temperature is demonstrated. Moreover, to effectively increase the signal-to-noise ratio in the low frequency range, a beam isolation enhancer is proposed and its effect is verified. The minimum detectable THz pulse energy reaches about 100 aJ at 1.9 THz. The frequency tuning ranging from 1 to 3 THz. Sensitivity comparison with a 4-dimethylamino-N-methyl-4-stilbazolium tosylate (DAST) crystal system shows that OH1 is a more suitable nonlinear crystal in the 1-2.4 THz range.

An optical parametric oscillator based on B a G a 4 S e 7 crystal is constructed for use as a 3-8 µm mid-infrared source. The output characteristics of the light source, including wavelength tuning, beam quality, and energy stability, are studied, which are usually concerned differently in spectral analysis, imaging, and laser processing. When the light source operates far from the threshold, the mid-infrared output is poor in beam quality and good in energy stability, and the contradiction should be addressed in practice. The results provide guidance on the selection of operating parameters and performance optimization for the application of the B a G a 4 S e 7 based mid-infrared source in various settings.

HSP90 is a widely distributed molecular chaperone that participates in a variety of cellular processes and plays an important role in the meiosis of germ cells. However, its role in the gonadal development of hermaphroditic Whitmania pigra is not yet clear. To explore the effect of HSP90 on the germ cell development of Wh. Pigra, this study cloned the wpHSP90 gene, performed bioinformatics analysis, and measured its expression levels. The results showed that the cloned wpHSP90 was 2 592 bp in length, with an open reading frame(ORF) of 2 373 bp, encoding 790 amino acids. Prediction analysis revealed 85 phosphorylation modification sites on serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues of the wpHSP90 protein. Structural domain prediction and multiple sequence alignment results showed that wpHSP90 contained two conserved domains of HSP90 and exhibited the highest homology with Helobdella robusta, with a sequence similarity of 80.72%. RT-qPCR results showed that the relative expression level of wpHSP90 in the gonads of 5-month-old Wh. pigra was positively correlated with temperature within the range of 12 ℃ to 28 ℃. The expression level in the female gonads was significantly higher than in the male gonads and correlated with the trend of germ cell development in the ovaries and testes. In conclusion, wpHSP90 may be involved in regulating the development of germ cells, particularly oocytes, in Wh. pigra. This study provides a reference for further research on the gonadal development mechanism in Wh. pigra.

This paper presents a modeling method for extracavity-pumped terahertz parametric oscillators (TPO) based on stimulated polariton scattering, in which the pumping beam is from a different laser, and the Stokes beam oscillates in its cavity. After suitable approximations and assumptions, the average THz wave amplitude in the nonlinear crystal is expressed as a function of the fundamental and Stokes wave amplitudes. Then the rate equation for the Stokes wave is obtained based on the Stokes wave increment within a cavity roundtrip timescale. After solving the Stokes wave rate equation, the Stokes wave temporal evolution is considered as a known parameter, and the properties of the residual fundamental and terahertz waves are obtained by numerically solving the coupled wave equations. This modeling method is applied to an extracavity-pumped TPO based on MgO:LiNbO3 crystal. The simulation results are basically consistent with the experimental results. The main reasons causing the deviations of the simulation results from the experimental results are analyzed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time to perform the modeling for extracavity-pumped Q-switched TPOs.

BACKGROUND: The role of the PRDM5 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) has not been revealed. This study investigated the relationship between PRDM5 expression and survival outcome in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and explored the mechanism in tumor development. METHODS: In present study, expression of PRDM5 mRNA in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients was conducted using the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. The expression of PRDM5 was assessed by immunohistochemical staining. Kaplan-Meier curve and Cox regression analysis was performed to analyze the survival outcome and independent predictive factors. qRT-PCR and Methylation-specific PCR were performed to identify the mRNA level of PRDM5 and Methylation rate. Cibersort algorithm to analyze the relationship between PRDM5 expression and immune cell invasion. Western-blot was performed to confirm the expression of esophageal tumor tissues and adjacent tissues. RESULTS: The TCGA database and GEO database show that PRDM5 mRNA level in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma adjacent tissues was higher than that of cancer tissues, and ESCC patients with high expression of PRDM5 mRNA had better overall survival. Tissue microarray showed that the protein level of PRDM5 in the adjacent tissues of patients with ESCC was higher than that in cancer tissues, and the expression level of PRDM5 was significantly correlated with the grade of clinicopathological characteristics (P < 0.001). Patients with high expression of PRDM5 displayed a better OS and DFS. Cox regression analysis showed that PRDM5 was an independent risk factor and prognostic factor for ESCC patients (HR: 2.626, 95%CI: 1.824-3.781; P < 0.001). The protein level of PRDM5 matched with the transcriptional level, whereas the DNA methylation affected the transcriptional level. Cibersort showed that T cells CD4 memory resting, mast cells resting, eosinophils, M2 macrophages and mast cells activated were significantly positively correlated with PRDM5 expression (P < 0.05), while regulatory T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells negatively correlated with PRDM5 expression (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: PRDM5 can be used as a biomarker to predict the survival of ESCC patients. Furthermore, PRDM5 expression in ESCC cells may affect WNT/ß-catenin signaling pathways, thus further affect the ESCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion capacity.

Many studies have reported that the geriatric nutritional risk index (GNRI) and C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR) may be associated with prognosis of esophageal cancer (EC); however, the results are inconsistent. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of preoperative GNRI and CAR on the prognosis of EC. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases were searched. Pooled hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to analyze the relationship between GNRI/CAR and prognosis. Publication bias was estimated using Begg's funnel plot asymmetry test and Egger's test. A total of 21 studies comprising 5,018 patients were included in the meta-analysis. A decreased GNRI was significantly associated with poorer overall survival (OS) (HR = 1.808, 95% CI: 1.489-2.196, P < 0.001) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) (HR = 1.769, 95% CI: 1.193-2.624, P = 0.005), and an increased CAR was significantly associated with lower OS (HR = 2.179, 95% CI: 1.587-2.992, P < 0.001), CSS (HR = 1.733, 95% CI: 1.333-2.253, P < 0.001), and recurrence-free survival (HR = 2.178, 95% CI: 1.328-3.573, P = 0.002). Thus, preoperative GNRI and CAR may be noninvasive and powerful tools for predicting survival outcomes in patients with EC.

According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 edition), Eupolyphaga Steleophaga is prepared from female Eupolyphaga sinensis. To explore the quality difference between male and female E. sinensis, the present study determined indexes in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, anticoagulant activity, and content of primary metabolites, amino acids, and trace elements in male and female E. sinensis before and after sexual maturity. The results showed that the content of ash, water, extract, and aflatoxin of the larvae and female adults of E. sinensis met the Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards, while the content of ash and extract of male adults failed to meet the standards. After sexual maturity, the content of water-soluble proteins, crude fat, and extract of female E. sinensis was higher than that of the other three groups(P<0.05). Although the content of total protein, total amino acid(TAA), essential amino acid(EAA), non-essential amino acid(NEAA), branched-chain amino acid(BCAA), functional amino acid(FAA), and delicious amino acid(DAA) of male adults was higher than that of the other groups(P<0.05), the anticoagulant activity was the weakest(P<0.05). Before sexual maturity, the content of Fe in E. sinensis larvae was significantly higher than that in adults(P<0.05). The content of K and Mg in female larvae was the highest, while the content of Ca was the lowest(P<0.05). The content of Cu in male adults was higher than that in the other three groups(P<0.05). In conclusion, except for male adults, the larvae and female adults of E. sinensis meet the Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards. There is no difference in the internal quality of male and female E. sinensis larvae. It is recommended to collect female adults as much as possible. Male adults are rich in proteins and amino acids with high fibrinolytic activities, which can be developed in the future.

Light is the main source for plants to obtain energy.Asarum forbesii is a typical shade medicinal plant, which generally grows in the shady and wet place under the bushes or beside the ditches.It can grow and develop without too much light intensity.This experiment explores the effects of shading on the growth, physiological characteristics and energy metabolism of A.forbesii, which can provide reference and guidance for its artificial planting.In this experiment, A.forbesii was planted under 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% and no shade.During the vigorous growth period, the photosynthetic physiological characteristics such as fluorescence parameters, photosynthetic parameters, photosynthetic pigment content and ultrastructure, as well as the content of mitochondrial electron transport chain(ETC) synthase and nutrients were measured.The results showed that the photosynthetic pigment content, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters and net photosynthesis rate(P_n) decreased with the decrease of shading.Under 20%-40% shading treatment, the plants had damaged ultrastructure, expanded and disintegrated chloroplast, disordered stroma lamella and grana lamella, and increased osmiophi-lic granules and starch granules.The activities of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide dehydrogenase(NADH), succinate dehydrogenase(SDH), cytochrome C oxidoreductase(CCO) and adenosine triphosphate(ATP) synthasewere positively related to light intensity.With the reduction of shading, the content of total sugar and protein in nutrients increased first and then decreased, and the content was the highest under 60% shade.In conclusion, under 60%-80% shading treatment, the chloroplast and mitochondria had more complete structure, faster energy metabolism, higher light energy-conversion efficiency, better absorption and utilization of light energy and more nutrient synthesis, which was more suitable for the growth and development of A.forbesii.

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is an important contributor to drug resistance in ovarian cancer. The aims of this study were to explore the potential role of the miR-302 cluster in modulating EMT and cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer. We used qRT-PCR and western blotting to show that miR-302 expression was lower in chemoresistant than in chemosensitive cells, and miR-302 was upregulated in chemosensitive, but not chemoresistant ovarian cancer cells in response to cisplatin treatment. We identified ATAD2 as a target of miR-302 and showed that ectopic expression of miR-302 increased cisplatin sensitivity and inhibited EMT and the invasiveness of cisplatin-resistant cells in vitro by targeting ATAD2. Knockdown of ATAD2 restored cisplatin sensitivity and reversed EMT/metastasis in cisplatin-resistant cells, as shown by western blotting and invasion/migration assays. The effect of miR-302 overexpression on EMT and invasiveness was mediated by the modulation of ß-catenin nuclear expression. Immunofluorescence analysis showed that ATAD2 overexpression reversed the miR-302-induced downregulation of nuclear ß-catenin in cisplatin resistant cells. A xenograft tumor model was used to show that miR-302 increases the antitumor effect of cisplatin in vivo. Taken together, these results identify a potential regulatory axis involving miR-302 and ATAD2 with a role in chemoresistance, indicating that activation of miR-302 or inactivation of ATAD2 could serve as a novel approach to reverse cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer.

We report an experimental study of long-wave infrared difference frequency generation based on BaGa4Se7 crystal. The sources of two input wavelengths were the fundamental output of a Nd:YAG laser and its second-harmonic pumped ∼1.2µmKTiOPO4 optical parametric oscillator. A wide tuning range of 7.9-17.5 µm (>1.14 octave) was achieved, which reached the upper limit of the BaGa4Se7 transparency region. The spectra and pulse widths, input-output relationship, beam profile, wavelength tolerance, and angular acceptance of the phase-matching were characterized in detail. This presented coherent source can potentially be applied in multiple gas analyses and spectral imaging.

Protein kinase C(PKC) is a type of protein kinase widely involved in cell proliferation and development, but the developmental mechanism in the gonads of androgynous animals is still unclear. In order to explore the role of protein kinase C in the development of Whitmania pigra germ cells, the Wh. pigra PKC(Wp-PKC) gene was cloned, bioinformatics analysis was conducted, and fluorescent quantitative PCR was used to analyze the expression of female and male gonads. The results showed that:(1)The cloned Wp-PKC had a full length of 2 580 bp, a relative molecular weight of 76 555.19, and contains an open reading frame encoding 670 amino acids, Wp-PKC was closely related to Danio rerio PKC-α and rat PKC-γ. The similarity of amino acid sequence was 55% and 58%.(2)The protein encoded by Wp-PKC had no signal peptide and was a hydrophilic protein. The secondary structure is mainly composed of random coils, α-helices, extended chains, folds and folds, with the largest proportion of random coils and α-helices. Wp-PKC protein does not contain a transmembrane domain. Multiple sequence alignment and domain prediction analysis show that Wp-PKC contains 4 conserved domains of classical protein kinase C.(3)Fluorescence quantitative results showed that the expression of Wp-PKC in Wh. pigra gonads was positively correlated with the development of germ cells, and the expression in male gonads was significantly higher than that in female gonads. In summary, Wp-PKC is a classic PKC, and Wp-PKC may promote the development of Wh. pigra, especially the development of male gonads, and provide references for further research on the developmental mechanisms of Wh. pigra.

BACKGROUND: Electroacupuncture (EA), a treatment derived from traditional Chinese medicine, can effectively improve hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), however, its underlying mechanisms remain obscure. This study aimed to investigate whether EA could mitigate PCOS-like symptoms in rats by regulating autophagy. METHODS: A rat model of PCOS-like symptoms was established by subcutaneous injection with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), and then EA treatment at acupoints (ST29 and SP6) was carried out for 5 weeks. To inhibit autophagy in rats, intraperitoneal injection with 0.5 mg/kg 3-MA (an autophagy inhibitor) was performed at 30 min before each EA treatment. RESULTS: EA intervention alleviated PCOS-like symptoms in rats, which was partly counteracted by the combination with 3-MA. Moreover, DHEA-exposure-induced deficient autophagy in skeletal muscle was improved by EA treatment. EA-mediated improvements in insulin resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in PCOS-like rats were counteracted by 3-MA pretreatment. Mechanically, EA attenuated autophagy deficiency-mediated insulin resistance in PCOS-like rats via inactivating mTOR/4E-BP1 signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS: Taken together, our findings indicate that EA treatment ameliorates insulin resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ER stress through enhancing autophagy in a PCOS-like rat model. Our study provides novel insight into the mechanisms underlying the treatment of EA in PCOS, which offers more theoretic foundation for its clinical application.

Polian vesicles are considered as the site of coelomocyte formation, and play crucial roles in the inflammatory reaction in sea cucumber. After evisceration, coelomocytes and internal organs except polian vesicles are excreted. Our previous study found that the total number of coelomocytes was rapidly recovered at 6 h post-evisceration in sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus, and this regeneration of coelomocytes might be closely related to polian vesicles. To further investigate the related-gene expression pattern of the polian vesicles at 6 h post-evisceration, the transcriptome analysis of polian vesicles was carried out. A total of 2752 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified, including 1,453 up-regulated genes and 1299 down-regulated genes. Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment showed that most of the DEGs were classified under Regulation of transcription, Regulation of RNA metabolic process, Regulation of nucleic acid-templated transcription. Meanwhile, 11 significantly enriched Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways were identified. Among them, Wnt, TGF-ß and Endocytosis pathways are well-related with cell proliferation and differentiation, which may be involved in the regeneration of coelomocytes in A. japonicus after evisceration. In addition, FoxO signaling pathway plays important roles in immunoregulation, in which the expression levels of the DEGs were significantly up-regulated, inferring that polian vesicles could not only participate in the coelomocyte regeneration process, but also undertake a certain immune defense function in A. japonicus after evisceration. These findings will be beneficial for understanding the mechanisms of coelomocyte regeneration and immune defense of A. japonicus after evisceration.

BACKGROUND: Acupuncture, a therapy of traditional Chinese medicine, is confirmed to exert the therapeutic action on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, the detailed therapeutic mechanisms of acupuncture in PCOS remain ambiguous. In this study, we further investigated whether electroacupuncture (EA) alleviated PCOS-like symptoms in rats via regulating a metabolic regulator, sterol regulatory element binding protein-1 (SREBP1). METHODS: The PCOS-like rat model was built by hypodermic injection with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). The rats were subjected to EA intervention (ST29 and SP6 acupuncture points) for 5 weeks. Primary granulosa cells were isolated from control and PCOS-like rats for evaluating insulin resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress in vitro. RESULTS: The expression of SREBP1 was increased in PCOS-like rats, which was suppressed by EA treatment. In addition, lentivirus-mediated overexpression of SREBP1 restrained EA treatment-induced improvement in pathological changes, serum hormone levels and insulin resistance in rats. In addition, overexpression of SREBP1 repressed insulin-stimulated phosphorylation of insulin receptor ß (IR) and AKT in primary granulosa cells. Moreover, upregulation of SREBP1 further exacerbated mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress in granulosa cells isolated from PCOS-like rats. Mechanically, EA treatment suppressed SREBP1 expression through inducing the activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathway in PCOS-like rats. CONCLUSION: EA intervention alleviated PCOS-like symptoms in rats via improving IR, mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress through regulating SREBP1, a lipid metabolism regulator. Our findings illuminate the novel protective mechanisms of EA in the treatment of PCOS.

Here, we present the updated rSNPBase 3.0 database (http://rsnp3.psych.ac.cn), which provides human SNP-related regulatory elements, element-gene pairs and SNP-based regulatory networks. This database is the updated version of the SNP regulatory annotation database rSNPBase and rVarBase. In comparison to the last two versions, there are both structural and data adjustments in rSNPBase 3.0: (i) The most significant new feature is the expansion of analysis scope from SNP-related regulatory elements to include regulatory element-target gene pairs (E-G pairs), therefore it can provide SNP-based gene regulatory networks. (ii) Web function was modified according to data content and a new network search module is provided in the rSNPBase 3.0 in addition to the previous regulatory SNP (rSNP) search module. The two search modules support data query for detailed information (related-elements, element-gene pairs, and other extended annotations) on specific SNPs and SNP-related graphic networks constructed by interacting transcription factors (TFs), miRNAs and genes. (3) The type of regulatory elements was modified and enriched. To our best knowledge, the updated rSNPBase 3.0 is the first data tool supports SNP functional analysis from a regulatory network prospective, it will provide both a comprehensive understanding and concrete guidance for SNP-related regulatory studies.

This retrospective study evaluated the correlation between the sperm DNA integrity results and infertile male age or sperm motility in 654 infertile men undergoing infertility evaluations from 2013 to 2016. The correlation between the results of sperm DNA integrity and male age was positive, while a negative correlation was detected between sperm DNA integrity and sperm motility in all subjects. According to age (≤30, 30-35 and ≥35), men with normozoospermia or abnormal semen parameters were, respectively, divided into groups 1, 2 and 3, or groups A, B and C. The sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI) and DFI abnormality rates in groups 3 and C were highest among their respective cohorts. But they were not significantly different between groups within the same age range. Statistically significant differences were found in male age, progressive motility, as well as total motility between patients with normal DFIs and those with abnormal DFIs in group C, but not in group 3. Older (≥35 years) infertile men have increased sperm DNA fragmentation, independent of conventional semen parameters. Male age is more critical to sperm DNA integrity than routine semen parameters.

The present study was conducted to explore the effect of constant temperature overwintering on the growth, gonadal development and internal quality of the Wh. pigra which were in overwintering period. Wh. pigra which in overwintering period were placed in light incubator at 21 ℃, and the Wh. pigra that overwintered under natural conditions were used as control. That the changes of growth performance, gonad index, internal quality of two groups of Wh. pigra were measured at the end of the overwintering. Simultaneously the tissue slice technique was used to observe the morphological structure of the spermary and ovary of the two groups. The results showed that the body weight of constant temperature overwintering Wh. pigra which were placed in light incubator at 21 ℃ was 2.35 times that of natural overwintering Wh. pigra which overwintered under natural conditions, and the weight of female gonads of the Wh. pigra which were placed in light incubator at 21 ℃ was 11.54% higher than that of Wh. pigra which overwintered under natural conditions, and the weight of male gonads of the Wh. pigra which were placed in light incubator at 21 ℃ was 48.33% higher than that of the Wh. pigra which overwintered under natural conditions. At the same time, that vitellogenesis cells and film forming cells which in ovarian vesicles were significantly higher than those of the Wh. pigra which overwintered under natural conditions, and that spermatogonia and primary spermatocytes which in seminal vesicle were significantly higher than those of Wh. pigra which overwintered under natural conditions. Most important of all, the anti-thrombin activity of Wh. pigra which were placed in light incubator at 21 ℃ increased by 27.85% compared with the Wh. pigra that overwintered under natural conditions. In conclusion, that constant temperature can promote the growth, the development of sperm and egg cells, and the increase of anti-thrombin activity of Wh. pigra which were in overwintering period.
