RESUMEN

Wearable devices, such as smartwatches and activity trackers, are commonly used by patients in their everyday lives to manage their health and well-being. These devices collect and analyze long-term continuous data on measures of behavioral or physiologic function, which may provide clinicians with a more comprehensive view of a patients' health compared with the traditional sporadic measures captured by office visits and hospitalizations. Wearable devices have a wide range of potential clinical applications ranging from arrhythmia screening of high-risk individuals to remote management of chronic conditions such as heart failure or peripheral artery disease. As the use of wearable devices continues to grow, we must adopt a multifaceted approach with collaboration among all key stakeholders to effectively and safely integrate these technologies into routine clinical practice. In this Review, we summarize the features of wearable devices and associated machine learning techniques. We describe key research studies that illustrate the role of wearable devices in the screening and management of cardiovascular conditions and identify directions for future research. Last, we highlight the challenges that are currently hindering the widespread use of wearable devices in cardiovascular medicine and provide short- and long-term solutions to promote increased use of wearable devices in clinical care.

Cardiac rehabilitation has strong evidence of benefit across many cardiovascular conditions but is underused. Even for those patients who participate in cardiac rehabilitation, there is the potential to better support them in improving behaviors known to promote optimal cardiovascular health and in sustaining those behaviors over time. Digital technology has the potential to address many of the challenges of traditional center-based cardiac rehabilitation and to augment care delivery. This American Heart Association science advisory was assembled to guide the development and implementation of digital cardiac rehabilitation interventions that can be translated effectively into clinical care, improve health outcomes, and promote health equity. This advisory thus describes the individual digital components that can be delivered in isolation or as part of a larger cardiac rehabilitation telehealth program and highlights challenges and future directions for digital technology generally and when used in cardiac rehabilitation specifically. It is also intended to provide guidance to researchers reporting digital interventions and clinicians implementing these interventions in practice and to advance a framework for equity-centered digital health in cardiac rehabilitation.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of digital therapeutic application of Sleep Index-Based Treatment for Insomnia (dSIBT-I) and compare them with those of digital application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (dCBT-I). This randomised prospective pilot study was conducted at the Asan Medical Center. A total of 50 patients with insomnia were recruited between December 2022 and January 2023 and randomly allocated to the dSIBT-I or dCBT-I group. The study was carried out for one month. The primary outcome was the significant reduction in Insomnia Severity Index score at Week 4 compared to baseline, while the secondary outcome was proportion of participants whose Insomnia Severity Index scores were reduced to <15 at Week 4. We performed linear mixed model and generalised estimating equation analyses. Both dSIBT-I and dCBT-I groups showed significant improvements in Insomnia Severity Index scores at Week 4. There was no significant difference between two groups in terms of Insomnia Severity Index scores at Week 4 (group × time effect, F = 1.07, p = 0.382) and proportion of participants whose Insomnia Severity Index scores were reduced to <15 at Week 4 (group × time effects, F = 1.80, p = 0.615). However, at Week 2, the dSIBT-I group showed better results than the dCBT-I group in terms of both Insomnia Severity Index scores (p = 0.044) and proportion of participants whose Insomnia Severity Index scores were reduced to <15 (82.6% vs. 48.0%, p = 0.017). No treatment-emergent adverse events were reported in either group. The dSIBT-I is a safe and effective therapy for insomnia, with rapid treatment effects.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: The integration of digital technology into medical practice is often thrust upon clinicians, with standards and routines developed long after initiation. Clinicians should endeavor towards a basic understanding even of emerging technologies so that they can direct its use. The intent of this review is to describe the current state of rapidly evolving generative artificial intelligence (GAI), and to explore both how pediatric gastroenterology practice may benefit as well as challenges that will be faced. RECENT FINDINGS: Although little research demonstrating the acceptance, practice, and outcomes associated with GAI in pediatric gastroenterology is published, there are relevant data adjacent to the specialty and overwhelming potential as professed in the media. Best practice guidelines are widely developed in academic publishing and resources to initiate and improve practical user skills are prevalent. Initial published evidence supports broad acceptance of the technology as part of medical practice by clinicians and patients, describes methods with which higher quality GAI can be developed, and identifies the potential for bias and disparities resulting from its use. GAI is broadly available as a digital tool for incorporation into medical practice and holds promise for improved quality and efficiency of care, but investigation into how GAI can best be used remains at an early stage despite rapid evolution of the technology.

This study aimed to investigate the current knowledge and experiences of consumers in Australia on adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting and their reasons for reporting or not reporting ADRs, with a focus on the use of digital tools for ADR reporting. METHODS: A cross-sectional online survey was conducted among adults who had taken medicine in Australia. A structured questionnaire with multiple choice or Likert scale responses with an option for participants to provide free-text responses and pretested for face validity was used. Consumer characteristics, knowledge, and ADR reporting practices were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the chi-square test or Fisher's exact test. RESULTS: A total of 544 survey responses were included in the analysis. The majority of respondents were women (68%), and 22% were aged between 65 and 74 years. Fifty-eight percent (n = 317) of respondents knew that they could report ADRs to either the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), state or territory government health department, or healthcare professionals. Three-quarters (n = 405) of respondents stated that they had experienced an ADR; of these, 36% reported an ADR to either the TGA, state or territory government health department, or healthcare professionals. Among those who reported ADRs, 58% were unaware that they could use digital tools to report ADRs. The main reason for not reporting was that they did not think the ADR was serious enough to report (39%). CONCLUSION: Over half of consumers knew that they could report ADR; however, improved consumer awareness about using digital tools for ADR reporting and increased ADR reporting is needed.

BACKGROUND: Digital health interventions offer a promising approach for monitoring during postoperative recovery. However, the effectiveness of these interventions remains poorly understood, particularly in children. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of digital health interventions for postoperative recovery in children. METHODS: A systematic review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, with the use of automation tools for searching and screening. We searched five electronic databases for randomised controlled trials or non-randomised studies of interventions that utilised digital health interventions to monitor postoperative recovery in children. The study quality was assessed using Cochrane Collaboration's Risk of Bias tools. The systematic review protocol was prospectively registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022351492). RESULTS: The review included 16 studies involving 2728 participants from six countries. Tonsillectomy was the most common surgery and smartphone apps (WeChat) were the most commonly used digital health interventions. Digital health interventions resulted in significant improvements in parental knowledge about the child's condition and satisfaction regarding perioperative instructions (standard mean difference=2.16, 95% confidence interval 1.45-2.87; z=5.98, P<0.001; I2=88%). However, there was no significant effect on children's pain intensity (standard mean difference=0.09, 95% confidence interval -0.95 to 1.12; z=0.16, P=0.87; I2=98%). CONCLUSIONS: Digital health interventions hold promise for improving parental postoperative knowledge and satisfaction. However, more research is needed for child-centric interventions with validated outcome measures. Future work should focus development and testing of user-friendly digital apps and wearables to ease the healthcare burden and improve outcomes for children. BACKGROUND: A RCT of a novel intervention to detect antidepressant medication response (the PReDicT Test) took place in five European countries, accompanied by a nested study of its acceptability and implementation presented here. The RCT results indicated no effect of the intervention on depression at 8 weeks (primary outcome), although effects on anxiety at 8 weeks and functioning at 24 weeks were found. METHODS: The nested study used mixed methods. The aim was to explore patient experiences of the Test including acceptability and implementation, to inform its use within care. A bespoke survey was completed by trial participants in five countries (n = 778) at week 8. Semi-structured interviews were carried out in two countries soon after week 8 (UK n = 22, Germany n = 20). Quantitative data was analysed descriptively; for qualitative data, thematic analysis was carried out using a framework approach. Results of the two datasets were interrogated together. OUTCOMES: Survey results showed the intervention was well received, with a majority of participants indicating they would use it again, and it gave them helpful extra information; a small minority indicated the Test made them feel worse. Qualitative data showed the Test had unexpected properties, including: instigating a process of reflection, giving participants feedback on progress and new understanding about their illness, and making participants feel supported and more engaged in treatment. INTERPRETATION: The qualitative and quantitative results are generally consistent. The Test's unexpected properties may explain why the RCT showed little effect, as properties were experienced across both trial arms. Beyond the RCT, the qualitative data sheds light on measurement reactivity, i.e., how measurements of depression can impact patients.

BACKGROUND: Digital approaches are being explored internationally to support the elicitation, documentation and sharing of advance care planning information. However, the views and experiences of patients and carers are little understood, impeding the development and impact of digital approaches to strengthen palliative and end-of-life care. AIM: To explore perspectives of patients with progressive illness and their carers on digital approaches to advance care planning, anticipated impact from their use and expectations for their future development. DESIGN: A qualitative study employing thematic framework analysis of data collected from focus groups and semi-structured interviews. SETTING/PARTICIPANTS: Purposive sample of 29 patients and 15 current or bereaved carers in London and West Yorkshire from hospice settings, non-governmental support and advocacy groups, and care home residents. RESULTS: Four generated themes included: 1. 'Why haven't you read what's wrong with me?'; uncertainty around professionals' documenting, sharing and use of information; 2. The art of decision-making relies on the art of conversation; 3. The perceived value in having 'a say in matters': control and responsibility; 4. Enabling patient and carer control of their records: 'custodianship is key'. CONCLUSIONS: Lived experiences of information sharing influenced trust and confidence in digital advance care planning systems. Despite scepticism about the extent that care can be delivered in line with their preferences, patients and carers acknowledge digital systems could facilitate care through contemporaneous and accurately documented wishes and preferences. There remains a need to determine how independent patient and public-facing advance care planning resources might be integrated with existing digital health record systems.

BACKGROUND: For over three decades, digital technologies have been used in Implant Dentistry, beginning with the introduction of planning software for Static Computer-Assisted Implant Surgery (S-CAIS). During this time, this field has witnessed the emergence of diverse methodologies and a proliferation of technological advancements. Today, S-CAIS is a widely adopted procedure for the placement of dental implants in both partially and fully edentulous patients, with Dynamic Computer-Assisted Surgery (D-CAIS) and Robotic-Assisted Implant Surgery (RAIS) rapidly gaining attention among dental professionals. The continuous advancements in this arena are not merely indicative of technological progress; they represent a steadfast dedication to refining precision, enhancing efficiency, and fostering innovation with the goal of optimizing patient outcomes in dental implantology. AIMS: The purpose of the following review is to meticulously examine the spectrum of digital technologies available and to describe their protocols, advantages, and shortcomings as well as to evaluate their accuracy in implant surgery in patients with complete edentulism. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A scoping review was performed following the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) protocols, leveraging the population, concept, and context (PCC) framework to construct the research question and determine the inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS: Two hundred and sixty-seven records were identified for screening. After applying all the screening criteria, 41 articles were included for review and qualitative data analysis. DISCUSSION: S-CAIS, D-CAIS, and RAIS were identified as the main technologies for computer assisted implant surgery. Their applications, characteristics, protocols and levels of accuracy were compared and described. CONCLUSION: Taking into consideration the limitations of this study, S-CAIS appears to be the most applied and validated technology in implant surgery for fully edentulous patients followed by D-CAIS and RAIS being these last two promising initiatives in the field. Despite having similar levels of accuracy, the overall comparison showed a slightly higher values in RAIS followed by D-CAIS and S-CAIS.

OBJECTIVES: The aim of this narrative review was to explore the application of digital technologies (DT) for the simplification and improvement of bone augmentation procedures in advanced implant dentistry. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A search on electronic databases was performed to identify systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized and non-randomized controlled trials, prospective/retrospective case series, and case reports related to the application of DT in advanced implant dentistry. RESULTS: Seventy-nine articles were included. Potential fields of application of DT are the following: 1) the use of intra-oral scanners for the definition of soft tissue profile and the residual dentition; 2) the use of dental lab CAD (computer-aided design) software to create a digital wax-up replicating the ideal ridge and tooth morphology; 3) the matching of STL (Standard Triangulation Language) files with DICOM (DIgital COmmunication in Medicine) files from CBCTs with a dedicated software; 4) the production of stereolithographic 3D models reproducing the jaws and the bone defects; 5) the creation of surgical templates to guide implant placement and augmentation procedures; 6) the production of customized meshes for bone regeneration; and 7) the use of static or dynamic computer-aided implant placement. CONCLUSIONS: Results from this narrative review seem to demonstrate that the use of a partially or fully digital workflow can be successfully used also in advanced implant dentistry. However, the number of studies (in particular RCTs) focused on the use of a fully digital workflow in advanced implant dentistry is still limited and more studies are needed to properly evaluate the potentials of DT.

The integration in sports and health industries is attracting increasing research attention, however, there is less empirical evidence about role of digital technology adoption in affecting the industrial integration. This article extends relevant research from intra-state to including cross-board cases by combing data of merger and acquisition (M&A) in global sports and health industries as well as the country-level digital adoption index. It is shown that the integration in sports and health industries is positively associated with the digital technology adoption that the country in which the acquiror firm is located. Thus, it is beneficial for policymakers to promote the digital technology use when aiming to encourage the spontaneous industrial integration in sports and health industries.

While the significance of digital technologies like big data marketing is recognized in sport and health industries, the deployment is not in a fast pace as expected. Previous investigations argue that the financial issue can be the reason explaining such hesitation for sport and health firms to widely adopt advanced digital technologies. Through integrating firms in global sport and health industries, it is shown that the digital technology adoption can be negatively associated with firms' financial status. Therefore, the digital technologies are expensive, and the provision of sufficient financial incentives can be important to facilitate the promotion of digital technologies in sport and health industries.

BACKGROUND: Falls are a worrying and growing phenomenon worldwide that especially affects the elderly. With the development of technology, one way of studying the real-life falls that occur in healthcare settings is by using video cameras. AIMS: To (a) map the patterns of the research on real-life falls among older adults in healthcare settings as assessed with digital video camera supports; and (b) highlight the advances, the evidence produced, and the gaps still present regarding the biomechanics of falls as assessed technologically. METHODS: A scoping review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. CINAHL, PubMed and Google Scholar were searched. All studies regarding falls investigated with video cameras among older individuals in healthcare settings published from 1st January 1990 to 1st January 2022 were eligible. Findings were summarised according to the Patterns, Advances, Gaps, Evidence and Recommendations framework for Scoping Reviews. RESULTS: In total, 1943 studies were retrieved, and 16 met the inclusion criteria. Studies were mostly conducted in Canada. They described the real-life falls that occurred mainly in common and living areas of long-term facilities among older individuals, mainly females. Thirteen studies investigated falls through biomechanics, while three provided advances in the reliability of the measures as collected with video cameras. Studies reported that the biomechanics of a fall, reflecting the direction of the fall and protective responses, increase or decrease the likelihood of serious impact. In addition, the direction of the landing after a fall has been determined as having a significant impact on the severity and outcome of the fall. CONCLUSION: The use of video cameras to investigate the biomechanics of falls is a well-established research area that offer interesting insight regarding (a) how to prevent falls and their injuries and (b) the direction of the research in the field of falls.

BACKGROUND: Addressing loneliness and social isolation among older adults remains a public health priority. The restrictions enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic simultaneously heightened the need for services to overcome social isolation and reduce loneliness among older adults, while also limiting social care providers' ability to deliver these. The aim of this study was to explore the experiences of social care providers in using technology to address loneliness and social isolation among older adults during the pandemic. METHODS: This was a mixed methods study involving an online survey and interviews with providers of older adult social care in Wales, UK. Invitations to participate were sent to commissioners and providers of adult social care services, including those working in the voluntary and community sectors, across all local authorities in Wales. Data was collected between September 2021 and January 2022. RESULTS: Sixty-one service providers completed the survey, 19 of whom also took part in an interview. Addressing loneliness and isolation among older adults was reported as a key concern by nearly all survey respondents. While telephone calls were the most common means of facilitating social interaction, many service providers also tried to support older adults to make more use of devices that they already had (e.g., smartphones to hold video calls). Where funding was available, organisations purchased devices, such as tablets and smart speakers, for older adults. Analysis of interviews resulted in three themes: (1) The potential and limitations of technology; (2) Individuals' capabilities, confidence, motivations and values; and (3) The wider system. CONCLUSIONS: Technology was employed in a variety of ways during the pandemic to address loneliness and social isolation among older adults; many service providers continue to use technology in a hybrid system of care now that pandemic-related social restrictions have been lifted. Our findings emphasise a need for technology-assisted interventions to be designed and deployed in alignment with service users' values, motivations and capabilities. Further, there is a need to better support service providers to assess loneliness and social isolation among older adults, and to acknowledge the important role providers play in helping older adults to adopt technology-assisted interventions.

BACKGROUND: Despite the ubiquity of adolescent screen use, there are limited longitudinal studies that examine the prospective relationships between screen time and child behavioral problems in a large, diverse nationwide sample of adolescents in the United States, which was the objective of the current study. METHODS: We analyzed cohort data of 9,538 adolescents (9-10 years at baseline in 2016-2018) with two years of follow-up from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study. We used mixed-effects models to analyze associations between baseline self-reported screen time and parent-reported mental health symptoms using the Child Behavior Checklist, with random effects adjusted for age, sex, race/ethnicity, household income, parent education, and study site. We tested for effect modification by sex and race/ethnicity. RESULTS: The sample was 48.8% female and racially/ethnically diverse (47.6% racial/ethnic minority). Higher total screen time was associated with all mental health symptoms in adjusted models, and the association was strongest for depressive (B = 0.10, 95% CI 0.06, 0.13, p < 0.001), conduct (B = 0.07, 95% CI 0.03, 0.10, p < 0.001), somatic (B = 0.06, 95% CI 0.01, 0.11, p = 0.026), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity symptoms (B = 0.06, 95% CI 0.01, 0.10, p = 0.013). The specific screen types with the greatest associations with depressive symptoms included video chat, texting, videos, and video games. The association between screen time and depressive, attention-deficit/hyperactivity, and oppositional defiant symptoms was stronger among White compared to Black adolescents. The association between screen time and depressive symptoms was stronger among White compared to Asian adolescents. CONCLUSIONS: Screen time is prospectively associated with a range of mental health symptoms, especially depressive symptoms, though effect sizes are small. Video chat, texting, videos, and video games were the screen types with the greatest associations with depressive symptoms. Future research should examine potential mechanisms linking screen use with child behavior problems.

Wearable devices are increasingly being integrated to improve prevention, chronic disease management and rehabilitation. Inferences about individual differences in device-measured physical activity depends on devices being worn long enough to obtain representative samples of behavior. Little is known about how psychological factors are associated with device wear time adherence. This study evaluated associations between identity, behavioral regulations, and device wear adherence during an ambulatory monitoring period. Young adults who reported insufficient physical activity (N = 271) were recruited for two studies before and after the SARS-COVID-19 pandemic declaration. Participants completed a baseline assessment and wore an Actigraph GT3X + accelerometer on their waist for seven consecutive days. Multiple linear regression indicated that wear time was positively associated with age, negatively associated with integrated regulation for physical activity, and greater after (versus before) the pandemic declaration. Overall, the model accounted for limited variance in device wear time. Exercise identity and exercise motivation were not associated with young adults' adherence to wearing the physical activity monitors. Researchers and clinicians can use wearable devices with young adults with minimal concern about systematic motivational biases impacting adherence to device wear.

AIM: The current study investigated the prospective relationships between parental monitoring, family conflict, and screen time across six screen time modalities in early adolescents in the USA. METHODS: We utilised prospective cohort data of children (ages 10-14 years) from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study (years baseline to Year 2 of follow-up; 2016-2020; N = 10 757). Adjusted coefficients (B) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated using mixed-effect models with robust standard errors. RESULTS: A higher parental monitoring score was associated with less total screen time (B = -0.37, 95% CI -0.58, -0.16), with the strongest associations being with video games and YouTube videos. Conversely, a higher family conflict score was associated with more total screen time (B = 0.08, 95% CI 0.03, 0.12), with the strongest associations being with YouTube videos, video games, and watching television shows/movies in Years 1 and 2. CONCLUSION: The current study found that greater parental monitoring was associated with less screen time, while greater family conflict was linked to more screen time. These results may inform strategies to reduce screen time in adolescence, such as improving communication between parents and their children to strengthen family relationships.

BACKGROUND: Digital therapeutics (DTx) is a treatment option that uses computer software to provide evidence-based interventions for medical disorders. DTx platforms are digital services that facilitate interactions among stakeholders of DTx treatment within a standardized structure. However, there is still a lack of overall awareness regarding the effectiveness and usage of DTx and DTx platforms. This study aimed to investigate insomnia patients' recognition, thoughts, feelings, and demands for conventional treatments versus DTx for insomnia. METHODS: Nine participants, aged 19-50 years, who had experience with professional medical interventions for insomnia, were recruited through purposive sampling. Two online focus group interviews, each lasting 1.5 h, were conducted. The interview questions focused on difficulties encountered during conventional treatment, inadequate recognition of DTx, and concerns and demands regarding DTx and its platform. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. RESULTS: The participants reported subjective difficulties associated with receiving conventional treatment, including concerns about drug side effects and dependence, social stigma, and lack of perceived necessity for treatment. They expressed concerns about DTx, such as cost-effectiveness, evidence on efficacy, and concerns about breach of personal information. Additionally, their demands included convenience of use, reduction in social stigma related to the use of DTx, compatibility of DTx with other healthcare systems, and enhanced communication with healthcare providers when using DTx platforms. CONCLUSIONS: The focus group highlighted the need for increased awareness, demonstrated efficacy, cost-effectiveness, cybersecurity measures, and accessibility of insomnia DTx and its platforms. Tailored approaches considering patient characteristics are crucial for widespread adoption of insomnia DTx and its platforms.

BACKGROUND: While digital health and social services offer promising solutions, they often overlook the perspectives and needs of older adults. This study aims to comprehensively investigate the preferences of older adults regarding the use and development of digital health and social services. METHODS: The survey spanned from 19 March to 31 March 2023. The study population comprised 1100 Finnish individuals aged 75 and over from across Finland. The study used qualitative inductive content analysis to examine the open-ended responses obtained in the survey. RESULTS: We identified eight main categories for the older adults' preferences: usability, service design, and security; training, support, instructions, and information; flexibility of compatible devices; understandable language and interpretation of laboratory results; available and accessible services; desired functionalities; delivery of information for viewing, and personalization. CONCLUSIONS: Older adults' involvement in digital services' strategy development is crucial, emphasizing value co-creation and segmentation while avoiding value co-destruction. Segmenting users and understanding their needs aids in customizing services, improving healthcare provision. Further research should assess the impact of segmentation-based training and digital device provision on older adults' adoption of digital health and social services.

BACKGROUND: Gradually, society has shifted more services online, with COVID-19 highlighting digital inequalities in access to services such as healthcare. Older adults can experience such digital inequalities, yet this group is also more likely to need medical appointments, compared to younger people. With the growing digitalisation of healthcare, it is increasingly important to understand how older people can best use communicative e-health services to interact with healthcare services. This is especially if older adults are to access, and actively interact with health professionals/clinicians due to their general health decline. This review aims to synthesise older adults' experiences and perceptions of communicative e-health services and, in turn, identify barriers and facilitators to using communicative e-health services. METHODS: A meta-ethnography was conducted to qualitatively synthesise literature on older adults' experiences of using communicative e-health services. A systematic search, with terms relating to 'older adults', 'e-health', 'technology', and 'communication', was conducted on six international databases between January 2014 and May 2022. The search yielded a total of 10 empirical studies for synthesis. RESULTS: The synthesis resulted in 10 themes that may impact older adults' perceptions and/or experiences of using communicative e-health services. These were: 1) health barriers, 2) support networks, 3) application interface/design, 4) digital literacy, 5) lack of awareness, 6) online security, 7) access to digital devices and the internet, 8) relationship with healthcare provider(s), 9) in-person preference and 10) convenience. These themes interlink with each other. CONCLUSION: The findings suggest older adults' experiences and perceptions of communicative e-health services are generally negative, with many reporting various barriers to engaging with online services. However, many of these negative experiences are related to limited support networks and low digital literacy, along with complicated application interfaces. This supports previous literature identifying barriers and facilitators in which older adults experience general technology adoption and suggests a greater emphasis is needed on providing support networks to increase the adoption and usage of communicative e-health services.
