RESUMEN

A series of isomorphic lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs), namely [Ln(dcbba)(DMF)2] n·H2O·0.5DMF [Ln = La (1), Eu (2) and Tb (3); H3dcbba = 4-(3, 5-dicarboxylatobenzyloxy)benzoic acid; DMF = N, N'-dimethylformamide] have been designed and synthesized by the solvothermal reactions of H3dcbba and La(NO3)3·6H2O. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the complexes 1-3 exhibit a (3,6)-connected open framework structure with binuclear [Ln2(COO)6] n secondary building units as 6-connected nodes and H3dcbba ligands as 3-connected nodes. The isostructural mixed La/Eu/Tb-dcbba (4) was obtained via the in-suit doping of different Ln3+ ions into the host framework, which is able to emit pure orange, white, and blue light when excited at 300, 305, and 350 nm, respectively. Subsequently, a novel and multifunctional sensing process was designed based on the excitation wavelength sensitive color tunable luminescent sample 4, which can detect HS- ions, THF (tetrahydrofuran), and Ag+ ions via different luminescence color change mechanisms. The remarkable color change, excellent selectivity, and high sensitivity further indicate the promise of this type of multifunctional luminescent materials for the sensing of anion, cation, and organic small molecule.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the reporting characteristics of case reports of acupuncture therapy with CAse Report (CARE) guidelines, and to explore the applicability of the guidelines for these case reports. METHODS: Case reports published from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2013, were identified by searching PubMed and the China Biomedicine Database by using MeSH terms. Screening and data extraction of case reports were conducted by two independent researchers. Assessments based on CARE guidelines and data analysis were conducted by using Excel 2003 and RevMan 5.0. RESULTS: A total of 61 case reports published in 19 journals were identified, which involved 16 major types of diseases. Fifteen (24.6%) case reports declared no conflict of interests, and 5 (8.2%) reported funding sources. None of these case reports met all items of CARE guidelines, and only 6 subordinate items were fully reported among 50% of the case reports. Subgroup analysis indicated that case reports published in English or those that did not have competing interests had higher reporting quality. CONCLUSIONS: The reporting quality of case reports of acupuncture therapy is rather low. The reason might be a lack of awareness among authors and the poor dissemination of information regarding CARE guidelines in China. More evaluation studies are needed to promote and improve adherence to CARE guidelines. Moreover, an extended version of CARE guidelines should be developed for cases reports of special interventions such as acupuncture or adverse events caused by interventions.

A series of three remarkable complexes [PMo12O40]@[Cu6O(TZI)3(H2O)9]4·OH·31H2O (H3TZI = 5-tetrazolylisophthalic acid; denoted as HLJU-1, HLJU = Heilongjiang University), [SiMo12O40]@[Cu6O(TZI)3(H2O)9]4·32H2O (denoted as HLJU-2), and [PW12O40]@[Cu6O(TZI)3(H2O)6]4·OH·31H2O (denoted as HLJU-3) have been isolated by using simple one-step solvothermal reaction of copper chloride, 5-tetrazolylisophthalic acid (H3TZI), and various Keggin-type polyoxometalates (POMs), respectively. Crystal analysis of HLJU 1-3 reveals that Keggin-type polyoxoanions have been fitted snuggly in the cages of rht-MOF-1 (MOF: metal-organic framework) with large cell volume in a range of 87968-88800 Å(3) and large pore volume of about 68%. HLJU 1-3 exhibit unique catalytic selectivity and reactivity in the oxidation of alkylbenzene with environmental benign oxidant under mild condition in aqueous phase as well as the uptake capacity towards organic pollutants in aqueous solution.

To investigate the influence of POM species, temperature and counterions on the structures of POM-MOFs containing Cu-tda second building units (SBUs), six new complexes with various dimensionalities, e.g. three dimensional (3D) [Cu(H2tda)(H2O)2]4[SiW12O40]·12H2O (), two dimensional (2D) [Cu2(H2tda)2(H2O)3]·[Cu(H2tda)(H2O)2]·[PMo12O40]·5H2O (), H-bond 2D [Cu(H2tda)(H2O)2]3·[PMo12O40]·[Cu(Htda)(H2O)3]·8H2O (), one dimensional (1D) [Cu2(H2tda)2(H2O)4]2·[Cu2(tda)2(H2O)4]·[HPW12O40]·5H2O (), 1D [Cu2(H2tda)2(H2O)4][SiW12O40]·(TMA)2·3H2O (), and zero dimensional (0D) [Cu(H2tda)(H2O)3][SiW12O40]·(TMA)3·H2O (), were isolated depending on the reaction conditions. It is observed that the POM species, temperature and counterions exhibit an essential effect on the structures, which results in the formation of various dimensional POM-MOF complexes . In addition, photocatalytic degradation of RhB by complexes , and under UV irradiation was also investigated.

A series of five l-di-p-toluoyl-tartaric acid (l-DTTA) lanthanide coordination polymers, namely {[Ln4 K(4) L6 (H2O)x ]⋅yH2 O}n , [Ln=Dy (1), x=24, y=12; Ln=Ho (2), x=23, y=12; Ln=Er (3), x=24, y=12; Ln=Yb (4), x=24, y=11; Ln=Lu (5), x=24, y=12] have been isolated by simple reactions of H2L (H2 L= L-DTTA) with LnCl3 ⋅6 H2O at ambient temperature. X-ray crystallographic analysis reveals that complexes 1-5 feature two-dimensional (2D) network structures in which the Ln(3+) ions are bridged by carboxylate groups of ligands in two unique coordinated modes. Luminescent spectra demonstrate that complex 1 realizes single-component white-light emission, while complexes 2-4 exhibit a characteristic near-infrared (NIR) luminescence in the solid state at room temperature.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the temperature change of traditional silver needle in the human body during the burning of moxa ball. METHODS: Thirty-six healthy volunteers were randomly divided into a single-needle group and a multi-needle group, 18 cases in each group. For both groups, one silver needle (18 cm in length, 1.1 mm in diameter), which was adopted in this research to measure the temperature change, was punctured in the insertion point of the volunteer (inside the top of the left buttock, 7 cm under the edge of the highest point of the iliac crest, 7 cm lateral to the dorsomedian line), then another four silver needles were punctured 2 cm respectively anterior, posterior and lateral to the insertion point in the multi-needle group, and all the silver needles were inserted with 6 cm depth. Afterigniting the 1.3 g moxa ball on the needle tail, the temperature of the measuring points that were 3 mm, 33 mm, and 63 mm above the silver needle tip were recorded separately by digital temperature measuring instrument. RESULTS: The peak temperature of the three measuring points in the single-needle group was all around 41 degrees C, while those in the multi-needle group were around 43 degrees C, which had significant differences (all P < 0.05), but no significant differences among the highest temperature of the measuring points in the same group could be found (all P > 0.05). The highest temperature of moxa ball in the single needle group was (611.16 +/- 6.91) degrees C, while that of the central moxa ball in the multi-needle group was (628.94 +/- 8.99) degrees C, the difference of which was significant difference (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The temperature conductivity of the silver needle is very well, so the heat of the moxa ball could pass from the tail of needle to the tip during the warming treatment. The peak temperature on the body, tip of the silver needle in the multi-needle group is higher than those in the single needle group. Also, the peak temperature of multi-moxa ball is higher than that of single moxa ball.
