RESUMEN

The benthic macroinvertebrates of Aby lagoon (West Africa: Ivory coast) was studied during four seasons (high dry season, high rainy season, low dry season and low rainy season, respectively) from June 2006 to March 2007. The distribution of the benthic macroinvertebrates species was recorded at 13 stations on the whole of the lagoon. A total of 62 taxa of benthic macroinvertebrates belonging to 28 families and 10 orders were listed. The molluscs and crustaceans dominate qualitatively by adding up 51 and 24%, respectively of the total number of organisms. Five taxa (Corbula trigona (20%), Pachymelania aurita (12%), Clibernhardius cooki (7%), Oligochaeta (7%) and Crassostrea gasar (6%) accounted for 52% of total abundance. Classification analysis used to perform the characterisation of the lagoon on the basis of benthic macroinvertebrates showed the existence of four main clusters in which the seasonal pattern in benthic macroinvertebrates were very similar in the four seasons. In contrast the species richness and diversity indices were significantly different. Furthermore these indices where higher in the stations closer to the sea and surrounded by mangrove trees (southern area) compared to the inland ones.

RESUMEN

Influenza virus infections are current in viral infections of childhood. The quick test is now available and we want to assess its clinical and economical benefit through an unicentric study and during two seasons of influenza pandemic. An hospitalization avoided due to a quick test is equivalent to 20 to 30 general practitioner fixes fees. For social security, it is equivalent to 55 to 83 quick tests per child per hospitalization avoid. We plead for free test during influenza pandemic.

RESUMEN

UNLABELLED: The HIV pandemic has led a resurgence of tuberculosis which did reach developing as well as developed countries. In Côte d'Ivoire, tuberculosis represented 40-50 per cent of HIV opportunist infections. The incidence rate of this infection, in 2004 was 110/100,000 inhabitants all type of tuberculosis together. As we know, a few studies haven't been devoted to child military pulmonary tuberculosis. Our objectives in this study are to precise circumstances of diagnosis, to assess treatment of the miliary tuberculosis to children below 15 years, to analyze evolving aspects of military tuberculosis. Retrospective study of medical hill of children center anti tuberculosis from 1st December 1999 to 31st December 2002. In the result, miliary tuberculosis is the third extra pulmonary tuberculosis, and concerns children from 6 to 11 years leaving in the social precarious the age where miliary tuberculosis is the most frequent. HIV seroprevalence rate is 40.62 per cent Clinical signs are: Cough expectoration and impregnation signs among which first have fever, weight loss. The radiological signs are opacity in the shape of seeds of millet. The treatment is efficacy if it is correctly administered. CONCLUSION: Diagnostic of miliary pulmonary tuberculosis is essentially radiologic. The rate of cure of 94% could be improved if health authorities, population and the government combine their efforts to struggle against tuberculosis.
