RESUMEN

Despite recent advances in neonatal intensive care medicine, neonatal disorders such as (bronchopulmonary dysplasia [BPD], intraventricular hemorrhage [IVH], and hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy [HIE]) remain major causes of death and morbidity in survivors, with few effective treatments being available. Recent preclinical studies have demonstrated the pleiotropic host injury-responsive paracrine protective effects of cell therapy especially with mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) against BPD, IVH, and HIE. These findings suggest that MSCs therapy might emerge as a novel therapeutic modality for these currently devastating neonatal disorders with complex multifactorial etiologies. Although early-phase clinical trials suggest their safety and feasibility, their clinical therapeutic benefits have not yet been proven. Therefore, based on currently available preclinical research and clinical trial data, we focus on critical issues that need to be addressed for future successful clinical trials and eventual clinical translation such as selecting the right patient and optimal cell type, route, dose, and timing of MSCs therapy for neonatal disorders such as BPD, HIE, and IVH.

AIMS: The present study investigated the vasorelaxant mechanisms of an oral antidiabetic drug, anagliptin, using phenylephrine (Phe)-induced pre-contracted rabbit aortic rings. METHODS: Arterial tone measurement was performed in rabbit thoracic aortic rings. RESULTS: Anagliptin induced vasorelaxation in a dose-dependent manner. Pre-treatment with the classical voltagedependent K+ (Kv) channel inhibitors 4-aminopyridine and tetraethylammonium significantly decreased the vasorelaxant effect of anagliptin, whereas pre-treatment with the inwardly rectifying K+ (Kir) channel inhibitor Ba2+, the ATP-sensitive K+ (KATP) channel inhibitor glibenclamide, and the large-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ (BKCa) channel inhibitor paxilline did not attenuate the vasorelaxant effect. Furthermore, the vasorelaxant response of anagliptin was effectively inhibited by pre-treatment with the sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA) pump inhibitors thapsigargin and cyclopiazonic acid. Neither cAMP/protein kinase A (PKA)-related signaling pathway inhibitors (adenylyl cyclase inhibitor SQ 22536 and PKA inhibitor KT 5720) nor cGMP/protein kinase G (PKG)-related signaling pathway inhibitors (guanylyl cyclase inhibitor ODQ and PKG inhibitor KT 5823) reduced the vasorelaxant effect of anagliptin. Similarly, the anagliptin-induced vasorelaxation was independent of the endothelium. CONCLUSIONS: Based on these results, we suggest that anagliptin-induced vasorelaxation in rabbit aortic smooth muscle occurs by activating Kv channels and the SERCA pump, independent of other vascular K+ channels, cAMP/PKA- or cGMP/PKG-related signaling pathways, and the endothelium.

This study explores the optimal morphology of photochemical hydrogen evolution catalysts in a one-dimensional system. Systematic engineering of metal tips on precisely defined CdSe@CdS dot-in-rods is conducted to exert control over morphology, composition, and both factors. The outcome yields an optimized configuration, a Au-Pt core-shell structure with a rough Pt surface (Au@r-Pt), which exhibits a remarkable fivefold increase in quantum efficiency, reaching 86% at 455 nm and superior hydrogen evolution rates under visible and AM1.5G irradiation conditions with prolonged stability. Kinetic investigations using photoelectrochemical and time-resolved measurements demonstrate a greater extent and extended lifetime of the charge-separated state on the tips as well as rapid water reduction kinetics on high-energy surfaces. This approach sheds light on the critical role of cocatalysts in hybrid photocatalytic systems for achieving high performance.

BACKGROUND: Water electrospray technology has been developed and extensively studied for its physical properties and potential application as a non-chemical biocide against airborne pathogens. However, there are still concerns regarding the safety and potential toxicity of inhaling water electrospray (WE) particles. To address these potential hazards and offer insights into the impact of WE on humans, we analyzed the immunopathological response to WE by employing an intranasal challenge C57BL/6 mouse model. This analysis aimed to compare the effects of WE with those of sodium hypochlorite (SH), a well-known biocidal agent. RESULTS: The study findings suggest that the WE did not trigger any pathological immune reactions in the intranasal-challenged C57BL/6 mouse model. Mice challenged with WE did not experience body weight loss, and there was no increase in inflammatory cytokine production compared to SH-treated mice. Histopathological analysis revealed that WE did not cause any damage to the lung tissue. In contrast, mice treated with SH exhibited significant lung tissue damage, characterized by the infiltration of neutrophils and eosinophils. Transcriptomic analysis of lung tissue further confirmed the absence of a pathological immune response in mice treated with WE compared to those treated with SH. Upon intranasal challenge with WE, the C57BL/6 mouse model did not show any evidence of immunopathological damage. CONCLUSIONS: The results of this study suggest that WE is a safe technology for disinfecting airborne pathogens. It demonstrated little to no effect on immune system activation and pathological outcomes in the intranasal challenge C57BL/6 mouse model. These findings not only support the potential use of WE as an effective and safe method for air disinfection but also highlight the value of the intranasal challenge of the C57BL/6 mouse model in providing significant immunopathological insights for assessing the inhalation of novel materials for potential use.

Skin aging results from complex interactions of intrinsic and extrinsic factors, leading to structural and biochemical changes such as wrinkles and dryness. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation leads to the degradation of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the skin, and the with fragmented HA contributes to inflammation. This study revealed that the synergistic combination of carnosine and retinol (ROL) increases HA production in normal human epidermal keratinocytes (NHEKs) by upregulating hyaluronan synthase 2 (HAS2) gene transcription. Simultaneously, the combined treatment of carnosine and ROL significantly attenuates UVB-induced prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) synthesis in NHEKs. A significant correlation exists between the increase of HA synthesis and the inhibition of PGE2 production. This study suggested that combined treatment of carnosine and ROL can improve skin aging phenotypes associated with UVB irradiation.

Food waste (FW) comprises carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and water, posing technical challenges for effective treatment and valorisation. This study addresses these challenges by using black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) as a bioconversion medium to transform FW into biodiesel (BD). BSFL predominantly consumed the carbohydrates and proteins in FW (81 wt%), while showing a lower preference for lipids (<50 wt% consumed). Notwithstanding the lower consumption of lipids in the FW than that of carbohydrates and proteins, BSFL had a high lipid content (48.3 wt%). The subsequent conversion of the lipids extracted from BSFL into BD was tested via catalytic (acid/alkali) and non-catalytic transesterification processes. The BD yield from catalytic transesterification was lower than that from non-catalytic transesterification because of the low tolerance against free fatty acids (FFAs). BD was also produced from the lipid-concentrated residual FW through non-catalytic transesterification. Although the FW residue extracts contained high amounts of FFAs (49.9 wt%), non-catalytic transesterification displayed a high BD yield (92.4 wt%; yields from catalytic transesterification: < 80.0 wt%). Moreover, blending the BD derived from the BSFL and FW residue extracts enhanced the fuel properties. The BSFL-assisted FW management efficiently reduced FW by 90 wt% while producing a high-quality BD.

Introduction: Sweetpotato faces breeding challenges due to physiological and genomic issues. Gamma radiation is a novel approach for inducing genetic variation in crops. We analyzed the transcriptomic changes in gamma ray-induced sweetpotato mutants with altered stem development compared with those in the wild-type 'Tongchaeru' cultivar. Methods: RNA sequencing analyses were performed to identify changes in the expression of genes related to stem development. Results: Transcriptomic analysis identified 8,931 upregulated and 6,901 downregulated genes, including the upregulation of the auxin-responsive SMALL AUXIN UP RNA (SAUR) and three PHYTOCHROME INTERACTING FACTOR 4 (PIF4) genes. PIF4 is crucial for regulating the expression of early auxin-responsive SAUR genes and stem growth in Arabidopsis thaliana. In the mutant, several genes related to stem elongation, including PIF4 and those involved in various signaling pathways such as auxin and gibberellin, were upregulated. Discussion: Our results suggest that gamma ray-induced mutations influence auxin-dependent stem development by modulating a complex regulatory network involving the expression of PIF4 and SAUR genes, and other signaling pathways such as gibberellin and ethylene signaling genes. This study enhances our understanding of the regulatory mechanisms underlying stem growth in sweetpotato, providing valuable insights for genomics-assisted breeding efforts.

PURPOSE: Organ-at-risk segmentation is essential in adaptive radiotherapy (ART). Learning-based automatic segmentation can reduce committed labor and accelerate the ART process. In this study, an auto-segmentation model was developed by employing individual patient datasets and a deep-learning-based augmentation method for tailoring radiation therapy according to the changes in the target and organ of interest in patients with prostate cancer. METHODS: Two computed tomography (CT) datasets with well-defined labels, including contoured prostate, bladder, and rectum, were obtained from 18 patients. The labels of the CT images captured during radiation therapy (CT2nd) were predicted using CT images scanned before radiation therapy (CT1st). From the deformable vector fields (DVFs) created by using the VoxelMorph method, 10 DVFs were extracted when each of the modified CT and CT2nd images were deformed and registered to the fixed CT1st image. Augmented images were acquired by utilizing 110 extracted DVFs and spatially transforming the CT1st images and labels. An nnU-net autosegmentation network was trained by using the augmented images, and the CT2nd label was predicted. A patient-specific model was created for 18 patients, and the performances of the individual models were evaluated. The results were evaluated by employing the Dice similarity coefficient (DSC), average Hausdorff distance, and mean surface distance. The accuracy of the proposed model was compared with those of models trained with large datasets. RESULTS: Patient-specific models were developed successfully. For the proposed method, the DSC values of the actual and predicted labels for the bladder, prostate, and rectum were 0.94 ± 0.03, 0.84 ± 0.07, and 0.83 ± 0.04, respectively. CONCLUSION: We demonstrated the feasibility of automatic segmentation by employing individual patient datasets and image augmentation techniques. The proposed method has potential for clinical application in automatic prostate segmentation for ART.

BACKGROUND/AIM: Although photobiomodulation therapy (PBMt) is available to alleviate post-operative side effects of malignant diseases, its application is still controversial due to some potential of cancer recurrence and occurrence of a secondary malignancy. We investigated effect of PBMt on mitochondrial function in HT29 colon cancer cells. METHODS: HT29 cell proliferation was determined with MTT assay after PBMt. Immunofluorescent staining was performed to determine mitochondrial biogenesis and reactive oxygen species (ROS). Mitochondrial membrane potential was measured with Mitotracker. Western blotting was executed to determine expression of fission, fusion, UCP2, and cyclin B1 and D1 proteins. In vivo study was performed by subcutaneously inoculating cancer cells into nude mice and immunohistochemistry was done to determine expression of FIS1, MFN2, UCP2, and p-AKT. RESULTS: The proliferation and migration of HT29 cells reached maximum with PBMt (670 nm, light emitting diode, LED) at 2.0 J/cm2 compared to control (P < 0.05) with more expression of cyclin B1 and cyclin D1 (P < 0.05). Immunofluorescent staining showed that ROS and mitochondrial membrane potential were enhanced after PBMt compared to control. ATP synthesis of mitochondria was also higher in the PBMt group than in the control (P < 0.05). Expression levels of fission and fusion proteins were significantly increased in the PBMt group than in the control (P < 0.05). Electron microscopy revealed that the percentage of mitochondria showing fission was not significantly different between the two groups. Oncometabolites including D-2-hydoxyglutamate in the supernatant of cell culture were higher in the PBMt group than in the control with increased UCP2 expression (P < 0.05). Both tumor size and weight of xenograft in nude mice model were bigger and heavier in the PBMt group than in the control (P < 0.05). Immunohistologically, mitochondrial biogenesis proteins UCP2 and p-AKT in xenograft of nude mice were expressed more in the PBMt group than in the control (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Treatment with PBM using red light LED may induce proliferation and progression of HT29 cancer cells by increasing mitochondrial activity and fission.

Gauze or bandages are commonly used to effectively control bleeding during trauma and surgery. However, conventional treatment methods can sometimes lead to secondary damages. In recent years, there has been increased interest in developing adhesive hemostatic hydrogels as a safer alternative for achieving hemostasis. Methylcellulose (MC) is a well-known thermo-sensitive polymer with excellent biocompatibility that is capable of forming a hydrogel through physical crosslinking owing to its inherent thermo-reversible properties. However, the poor mechanical properties of the MC hydrogel comprising a single crosslinked network (SN) limit its application as a hemostatic material. To address this issue, we incorporated a chitosan-gallol (CS-GA) conjugate, which has the ability to form chemical crosslinks through self-crosslinking reactions under specific pH conditions, into the MC hydrogel to reinforce the MC hydrogel network. The resulting MC/CS-GA hydrogel with a dual-crosslinked network (DN), involving both physical and chemical crosslinks, exhibited synergistic effects of the two types of crosslinks. Thus, compared with those of the SN hydrogel, the composite DN hydrogel exhibited significantly enhanced mechanical strength and tissue adhesive properties. Moreover, the DN hydrogel presented excellent biological activity in vitro. Additionally, in rat hepatic hemorrhage models, the DN hydrogel exhibited high hemostatic efficiency, showcasing its multifunctional capabilities.

This research group (FROM) aimed to develop biomarkers for exposure to environmental hazards and diseases, assess environmental diseases, and apply and verify these biomarkers in environmentally vulnerable areas. Environmentally vulnerable areas­including refineries, abandoned metal mines, coal-fired power plants, waste incinerators, cement factories, and areas with high exposure to particulate matter­along with control areas, were selected for epidemiological investigations. A total of 1,157 adults, who had resided in these areas for over 10 years, were recruited between June 2021 and September 2023. Personal characteristics of the study participants were gathered through a survey. Biological samples, specifically blood and urine, were collected during the field investigations, separated under refrigerated conditions, and then transported to the laboratory for biomarker analysis. Analyses of heavy metals, environmental hazards, and adducts were conducted on these blood and urine samples. Additionally, omics analyses of epigenomes, proteomes, and metabolomes were performed using the blood samples. The biomarkers identified in this study will be utilized to assess the risk of environmental disease occurrence and to evaluate the impact on the health of residents in environmentally vulnerable areas, following the validation of diagnostic accuracy for these diseases.

Peripheral osteoma of the jaw is a rare, benign, slow-growing lesion, which usually appears as a unilateral, pedunculated, radiopaque mass protruding from the periphery and is generally solitary. Multiple osteomas without any syndromic involvement are rare. In the present case, a 75-year-old male patient underwent implant placement in the edentulous posterior ridges of the maxilla and mandible. Over 7 years, multiple masses gradually proliferated in the buccal bone of the implant in three different sextants of the posterior region, reaching a size of 2.0 cm. Clinically and radiologically, these lesions were presumed to be peripheral osteomas and were surgically removed because the large mass made self-performed oral hygiene and maintenance of peri-implant health difficult. The histopathological evaluation confirmed that peripheral osteomas were both compact and cancellous. The patient did not exhibit any other clinical manifestations of Gardner syndrome. Whether dental implant placement and loading are involved in the occurrence of peripheral osteomas is unclear, but they might have affected the consistent growth of the mass as a reactive mechanism. After resection, the functional abilities of chewing and self-cleansing significantly improved. No recurrence of peripheral osteoma was observed after 1 year of follow-up, and peri-implant health was well maintained. Within the limitations of the present case report, multiple peripheral osteomas can occur adjacent to dental implants without any syndromic issues, and a large mass of PO can harm peri-implant health which requires surgical removal. It is speculated that dental implants may be associated with the slow and consistent growth of PO.

PURPOSE: Patients undergoing radiation therapy (RT) often experience psychological anxiety that manifests as muscle contraction. Our study explored psychological anxiety in these patients by using biological signals recorded using a smartwatch. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Informed consent was obtained from participating patients prior to the initiation of RT. The patients wore a smartwatch from the waiting room until the conclusion of the treatment. The smartwatch acquired data related to heart rate features (average, minimum, and maximum) and stress score features (average, minimum, and maximum). On the first day of treatment, we analyzed the participants' heart rates and stress scores before and during the treatment. The acquired data were categorized according to sex and age. For patients with more than three days of data, we observed trends in heart rate during treatment relative to heart rate before treatment (HRtb) over the course of treatment. Statistical analyses were performed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and paired t-test. RESULTS: Twenty-nine individuals participated in the study, of which 17 had more than 3 days of data. During treatment, all patients exhibited elevated heart rates and stress scores, particularly those in the younger groups. The HRtb levels decreased as treatment progresses. CONCLUSION: Patients undergoing RT experience notable psychological anxiety, which tends to diminish as the treatment progresses. Early stage interventions are crucial to alleviate patient anxiety during RT.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to analyze the treatment outcomes of combined definitive radiation therapy (RT) and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for clinically node-positive prostate cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Medical records of 60 patients with clinically suspected metastatic lymph nodes on radiological examination were retrospectively analyzed. Eight patients (13.3%) were suspected to have metastatic common iliac or para-aortic lymph nodes. All patients underwent definitive RT with a dose fractionation of 70 Gy in 28 fractions. ADT was initiated 2-3 months before RT and continued for at least 2 years. Biochemical failure rate (BFR), clinical failure rate (CFR), overall survival (OS), and prostate cancer-specific survival (PCSS) were calculated, and genitourinary and gastrointestinal adverse events were recorded. RESULTS: The median follow-up period was 5.47 years. The 5-year BFR, CFR, OS, and PCSS rates were 19.1%, 11.3%, 89.0%, and 98.2%, respectively. The median duration of ADT was 2.30 years. BFR and CFR increased after 3 years, and 11 out of 14 biochemical failures occurred after the cessation of ADT. Grade 2 and beyond late genitourinary and gastrointestinal toxicity rates were 5.0% and 13.3%, respectively. However, only two grade 3 adverse events were reported, and no grade 4-5 adverse events were reported. Patients with non-regional lymph node metastases did not have worse BFR, CFR, or adverse event rates. CONCLUSION: This study reported the efficacy and tolerable toxicity of hypofractionated definitive RT combined with ADT for clinically node-positive prostate cancer. Additionally, selected patients with adjacent non-regional lymph node metastases might be able to undergo definitive RT combined with ADT.

Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is the most common chronic inflammatory skin disease (or immune-mediated disease), causing disruption to our psychological condition and life quality. In this study, the therapeutic properties of probiotic Bifidobacterium longum (B. longum) was investigated by using an ACD-induced animal model. For ACD induction, BALB/c mice ear and dorsal skin were sensitized with 240 µL of 1% (w/v) 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) twice (3-day intervals). After a week of the first induction, the mice were re-sensitized by painting on their dorsal skin and ear with 0.4% (w/v) DNCB for a further three times (once per week). Before the ACD induction of 2 weeks and throughout the trial period, the BALB/c mice were supplemented daily with 1 mL of 1.0 × 109 CFU or 5.0 × 109 CFU B. longum using an intragastric gavage method. The ACD-induced mice without B. longum supplementation were used as a control. Results show that B. longum supplementation significantly alleviated ACD symptoms (e.g., ear swelling, epidermal damage) and immune response (e.g., reduced immune cell recruitment, serum IgE level, and cytokine production). The therapeutic efficiency of B. longum increased as the supplementation dose increased. Thus, daily supplementation with 5.0 × 109 CFU probiotic B. longum could be an effective method for the prevention and treatment of ACD.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the treatment approaches and locoregional patterns for Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) in the breast, which is an uncommon malignant tumor with limited clinical data. Materials and Methods: A total of 93 patients diagnosed with primary ACC in the breast between 1992 and 2022 were collected from multi-institutions. All patients underwent surgical resection, including breast-conserving surgery (BCS) or total mastectomy (TM). The recurrence patterns and locoregional recurrence-free survival (LRFS) were assessed. Results: Seventy-five patients (80.7%) underwent BCS, and 71 of them (94.7%) received post-operative radiation therapy (PORT). Eighteen patients (19.3%) underwent TM, with 5 of them (27.8%) also receiving PORT. With a median follow-up of 50 months, the LRFS rate was 84.2% at 5 years. Local recurrence (LR) was observed in 5 patients (5.4%) and 4 cases (80%) of the LR occurred in the tumor bed. Three of LR (3/75, 4.0%) had a history of BCS and PORT, meanwhile, two of LR (2/18, 11.1%) had a history of mastectomy. Regional recurrence occurred in 2 patients (2.2%), and both cases had a history of PORT with (n=1) and without (n=1) irradiation of the regional lymph nodes. Partial breast irradiation (p=0.35), BCS (p=0.96) and PORT in BCS group (p=0.33) had no significant association with LRFS. Conclusion: BCS followed by PORT was the predominant treatment approach for ACC of the breast and local recurrence mostly occurred in the tumor bed. The findings of this study suggest that partial breast irradiation might be considered for PORT in primary breast ACC.

The substantial waste of perishable foods during transportation significantly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, intensifying the climate crisis. To mitigate the rapid spoilage of fruits, an eco-friendly bilayer film was developed using natural egg white (EW), amylose (Am), and tannic acid (TA). The EW/Am-TA bilayer film features a primary layer of amphiphilic EW, ensuring a uniform coating on hydrophobic fruit surfaces, and a secondary layer composed of Am and TA, imparting notable tensile strength (5.3 ± 0.5 MPa) and elongation at break (28.5 ± 4.1 %). This bilayer film effectively shields fruits from UV-B and UV-C radiation (~0 % transmittance at 280 and 330 nm) and exhibits antioxidant and antibacterial properties due to the presence of TA. Fruits such as bananas, avocados, and cherry tomatoes, when dip-coated with the optimized EW/Am-TA bilayer, maintained their freshness, color, weight, and texture for up to seven days, demonstrating the effectiveness of this bilayer coating in food preservation. The natural materials in the coated film are edible and can be safely removed with tap water at room temperature in <10 s, posing no food safety risks. Thus, the proposed bilayer coating presents a significant solution to the global problem of food waste.

Peri-implant soft tissue deficiency (PSTD) is a significant factor impacting aesthetics, particularly in the anterior zone, where labial bone resorption and thin peri-implant phenotypes are common. The occurrence of a gray color around the implant fixture due to PSTD can be aesthetically concerning in the esthetic zone. In cases involving natural teeth, autogenous soft tissue grafts such as subepithelial connective tissue grafts (SCTGs), free gingival grafts (FGGs), and coronally advanced flaps (CAFs) are commonly utilized. However, there are limited reports of using bone grafts in conjunction with these techniques for modifying the gingival phenotype around both teeth and implants. In the presented cases where PSTD resulted in visible gray coloration of the implant fixture in the esthetic zone, mechanical and chemical decontamination of the exposed implant surface was performed using a titanium brush and tetracycline (Tc) HCl. Subsequently, to enhance peri-implant mucosa thickness and mask the titanium color, simultaneous SCTG and bone grafting procedures were conducted. Within the limitations of these case reports, successful esthetic outcomes were achieved and maintained without recurrence for 3-6 years following the simultaneous subepithelial connective tissue graft and bone graft procedures. These findings suggest the potential efficacy of this combined approach in addressing PSTD and enhancing aesthetic results around dental implants, though further studies are needed to validate these outcomes.

This study aimed to predict stress in patients using artificial intelligence (AI) from biological signals and verify the effect of stress on respiratory irregularity. We measured 123 cases in 41 patients and calculated stress scores with seven stress-related features derived from heart-rate variability. The distribution and trends of stress scores across the treatment period were analyzed. Before-treatment information was used to predict the stress features during treatment. AI models included both non-pretrained (decision tree, random forest, support vector machine, long short-term memory (LSTM), and transformer) and pretrained (ChatGPT) models. Performance was evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation, exact match ratio, accuracy, recall, precision, and F1 score. Respiratory irregularities were calculated in phase and amplitude and analyzed for correlation with stress score. Over 90% of the patients experienced stress during radiation therapy. LSTM and prompt engineering GPT4.0 had the highest accuracy (feature classification, LSTM: 0.703, GPT4.0: 0.659; stress classification, LSTM: 0.846, GPT4.0: 0.769). A 10% increase in stress score was associated with a 0.286 higher phase irregularity (p < 0.025). Our research pioneers the use of AI and biological signals for stress prediction in patients undergoing radiation therapy, potentially identifying those needing psychological support and suggesting methods to improve radiotherapy effectiveness through stress management.

However, effectively managing and merging extensive and diverse datasets presents a challenge due to its intricacy. This research introduces a Multi-Omics Analysis Sandbox Toolkit, an online platform designed to facilitate the exploration, integration, and visualization of datasets ranging from single-omics to multi-omics. This platform establishes connections between clinical data and omics information, allowing for versatile analysis and storage of both single and multi-omics data. Additionally, users can repeatedly utilize and exchange their findings within the platform. This toolkit offers diverse alternatives for data selection and gene set analysis. It also presents visualization outputs, potential candidates, and annotations. Furthermore, this platform empowers users to collaborate by sharing their datasets, analyses, and conclusions with others, thus enhancing its utility as a collaborative research tool. This Multi-Omics Analysis Sandbox Toolkit stands as a valuable asset in comprehensively grasping the influence of diverse factors in diseases and pinpointing potential biomarkers.
