RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: SARS-CoV-2 infection could cause persistent lung injury or indicate potential genetic susceptibilities. While infection-elicited hybrid immunity could protect against severe COVID-19, it remains unknown whether recent infection could reduce pneumonia risk during reinfection due to insufficient viral and chest CT screening. METHODS: 15,598 patients, 96% fully vaccinated and 52% boosted, from Xiangyang, China who had symptomatic COVID-19 and chest CT scans during the first omicron BF.7 wave in December 2022 to January 2023 were followed through the second omicron XBB.1.5 wave between May and August 2023. 17,968 second-wave COVID-19 patients with chest CT scans but without prior symptomatic COVID-19 history were enrolled as first-time infection controls. RESULTS: 19.6% (3,061/15,598) first-wave patients were diagnosed with pneumonia. Among second-wave reinfected patients, only 0.2% (4/2,202) developed pneumonia, which was lower than the 1.7% (311/17,968) pneumonia prevalence among second-wave first-time patients, with adjusted relative risk (RR) of 0.11 (95% CI: 0.04-0.29). 1.3% (40/3,039) first wave pneumonia survivors showed residual abnormal patterns in follow-up CT scans within 8 months after pneumonia diagnosis. CONCLUSIONS: In a highly vaccinated population, prior symptomatic omicron infection within 8 months reduced pneumonia risk during reinfection. Uninfected individuals might need up-to-date vaccination to reduce pneumonia risk.

RESUMEN

Three-dimensional (3D) magnetic flower-spherical Fe2O3-NiO derived from NiFe-layered double hydroxides (NiFe-LDHs) was fabricated through urea hydrothermal and calcination methods. The as-prepared materials were applied to activate PMS to degrade one of herbicide named Bensulfuron methyl (BSM). Fe2O3-NiO-1 demonstrated the highest catalytic activity and the lowest ions leaching by comparing the performance of LDHs and derivative bimetallic oxide synthesized by co-precipitation method, urea hydrothermal method and direct calcination method. Based on the results of SEM, BET and CV, the high catalytic activity of Fe2O3-NiO-1 originated from 3D morphology, lager specific area and pore size and faster electron transfer capability. The factors influencing the degradation performance were investigated and 0.1 g·L-1 Fe2O3-NiO could effectively activate PMS (1 mmol·L-1) to completely remove 10 mg·L-1 BSM within 30 min at pH 7.0. In Fe2O3-NiO/PMS system, OH, SO4- and 1O2 were produced and contributed to the BSM removal according to the results of EPR and quenching experiments. In order to expand its application range, Fe2O3-NiO/PMS system was used to degrade aniline (AN), sulfamethoxazole (SMZ), phenacetin (PNT), bisphenol A (BPA) and 2,4,6-triclofen (2,4,6-TCP) and the results showed the degradation efficiency could reach 90 % or more. Additionally, the application of catalysts in different actual water samples and the ability of reuse were tested. Based on the strategies of bimetallic synergy and morphology control, Fe-based bimetallic oxides with 3D morphology were developed in this study, which could effectively enhance the catalytic activity and inhibit the dissolution of metal ions, providing the design ideas for the construction of efficient catalysts and the removal of complex organic pollutants.

RESUMEN

Gut microbiota and metabolites are considered key factors in the pathogenesis of perioperative neurocognitive disorders (PND), and the brain-gut axis may be a promising target for PND treatment. Electroacupuncture has been shown to improve a wide range of neurological disorders and to restore function to the gastrointestinal tract. Thus, we hypothesized whether electroacupuncture could remodel gut microbiota and neuroinflammation induced by anesthesia/surgery. First, we observed electroacupuncture at acupoints GV20, LI4 and PC6 significantly improved memory in behavioral tests. Next, we found electroacupuncture decreased the levels of inflammatory factors (NSE, S-100ß, IL-6, etc.) in the hippocampus, indicating that nerve inflammation was blocked by electroacupuncture. Furthermore, via 16S rRNA sequence analysis and LC-MS analysis, the gut microbiota and its metabolites were appropriately restored after electroacupuncture treatment. Additionally, we further confirmed the restorative effect of electroacupuncture on PND by fecal transplantation. In conclusion, the role of electroacupuncture in improving cognitive function and protecting neurons may be related to the modulation of gut microbiota and their metabolite dysregulation, thereby inhibiting neuroinflammation in PND mice.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: The immunosuppressive capacity of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is dependent on the "license" of several pro-inflammatory factors to express immunosuppressive molecular profiles, which determines the therapeutic efficacy of MSCs in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Of those, interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a key inducer for the expression of immunosuppressive molecular profiles; however, the mechanism underlying this effect is unknown. OBJECTIVES: To elucidate the regulation mechanism and biological functions of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification in the immunosuppressive functions by the IFN-γ-licensing MSCs. METHODS: Epitranscriptomic microarray analysis and MeRIP-qPCR assay were performed to identify the regulatory effect of WTAP in the IFN-γ-licensing MSCs. RIP-qPCR, western blot, qRT-PCR and RNA stability assays were used to determine the regulation of WTAP/m6A/YTHDF1 signaling axis in the expression of immunosuppressive molecules. Further, functional capacity of T cells was tested using flow cytometry, and both DSS-induced colitis mice and CIA mice were constructed to clarify the effect of WTAP and YTHDF1 in MSC-mediated immunosuppression. RESULTS: We identified that IFN-γ increased the m6A methylation levels of immunosuppressive molecules, while WTAP deficiency abolished the IFN-γ-induced promotion of m6A modification. IFN-γ activated ERK signaling, which induced WTAP phosphorylation. Additionally, the stabilization of WTAP post-transcriptionally increased the mRNA expression of immunosuppressive molecules (IDO1, PD-L1, ICAM1, and VCAM1) in an m6A-YTHDF1-dependent manner; this effect further impacted the immunosuppressive capacity of IFN-γ licensing MSCs on activated T cells. Notably, WTAP/YTHDF1 overexpression enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of IFN-γ licensing MSCs and restructures the ecology of inflammation in both colitis and arthritis models. CONCLUSION: Our results showed that m6A modification of IDO1, PD-L1, ICAM1, and VCAM1 mRNA mediated by WTAP-YTHDF1 is involved in the regulation of IFN-γ licensing MSCs immunosuppressive abilities, and shed a light to enhance the clinical therapeutic potential of IFN-γ-licensing MSCs.

RESUMEN

Sports records play a crucial role in understanding the limits of human achievement in sports. However, a thorough exploration of a comprehensive analysis of various sports records utilizing the existing statistical model has been lacking. This study introduces a framework for analyzing the integrated features and evolutionary trends of 23 sports records for men and women. It includes world records and intercontinental records from six continents, covering 6440 athletes from 2001 to 2020. Our findings indicate that human beings have not yet reached sports limits in athletic performance, suggesting a continuous improvement over time. Furthermore, we have investigated the contributions of our model's parameters to the integrated features, emphasizing their robustness and convergence in handling data flow and information entropy. Additionally, our model underscores the significance of integrating various sports for ongoing advancement, in line with the Olympic motto "Together," thereby promoting coordinated development.

RESUMEN

AIMS: Our Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis focused on investigating the bidirectional relationships between major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety and stress-related disorder (ASRD), and dental caries as well as periodontitis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We used summary statistics from two studies: an MDD genome-wide association study (GWAS) including 135,458 cases with 344,901 controls and a Lundbeck Foundation Initiative for Integrative Psychiatric Research (iPSYCH) GWAS based on 12,655 ASRD individuals and 19,225 controls from Denmark. GWASs on dental caries and periodontitis were based on the Gene-Lifestyle Interactions in Dental Endpoints (GLIDE) consortium. We employed different MR approaches, such as inverse-variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger, weighted median, and MR-PRESSO, to calculate causal effects. RESULTS: Single-variable MR analysis revealed that ASRD was potentially significantly associated with decayed, missing, and filled tooth surfaces (DMFS) (ß = 0.056; 95 % CI: 0.009, 0.103; p = 0.018). Periodontitis was suggested to be causally related to increased ASRD risk (OR = 1.143, 95 % CI: 1.008, 1.298; p = 0.038). According to the multivariable MR analysis, no significant associations were detected between MDD and ASRD with dental caries and periodontitis, and vice versa. CONCLUSIONS: ASRD demonstrated a potential association with DMFS, and periodontitis was found to potentially impact ASRD according to single-variable MR analysis. Nevertheless, no significant associations were identified between MDD, ASRD, dental caries, or periodontitis after adjusting for smoking status and education level. Hence, more robust genetic instruments are required to validate and reinforce our findings.

RESUMEN

Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations are lower than expected. To protect the onset of head and neck cancers, innovative strategies to improve the rates are needed. Artificial intelligence may offer some solutions, specifically conversational agents to perform counseling methods. We present our efforts in developing a dialogue model for automating motivational interviewing (MI) to encourage HPV vaccination. We developed a formalized dialogue model for MI using an existing ontology-based framework to manifest a computable representation using OWL2. New utterance classifications were identified along with the ontology that encodes the dialogue model. Our work is available on GitHub under the GPL v.3. We discuss how an ontology-based model of MI can help standardize/formalize MI counseling for HPV vaccine uptake. Our future steps will involve assessing MI fidelity of the ontology model, operationalization, and testing the dialogue model in a simulation with live participants.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to identify disparate health-related marketing across English- and Spanish-language television networks in New York City, ultimately to inform policy that can counteract disproportionate health-related marketing that provides harmful content to and withholds beneficial information from Latinx populations. METHODS: A 2-week composite sample of primetime English-language (National Broadcasting Company and Columbia Broadcasting System) and Spanish-language (Telemundo and Univision) television networks from YouTube television was randomly drawn from September 7, 2022 to September 27, 2022 in New York City. A total of 9,314 health-related television advertisements were identified for systematic media content analysis and coded into categories: alcohol, core or noncore foods/beverages, mental health/tobacco prevention, health insurance, medical centers, and pharmaceuticals. Analyses conducted in 2022-2024 included intercoder reliability and descriptive and rate difference estimates using total advertisement broadcasting time in the full sample and subsamples by language networks on YouTube television. RESULTS: Spanish television networks broadcast greater health-adverse advertisements per hour for alcohol (rate difference=4.91; 95% CI=3.96, 5.85) and noncore foods/beverages (rate difference=13.43; 95% CI=11.52, 15.34) and fewer health-beneficial advertisements per hour for mental health/tobacco prevention (rate difference= -0.99; 95% CI= -1.45, -0.54), health insurance (rate difference= -1.00; 95% CI= -1.44, -0.57), medical centers (rate difference= -0.55; 95% CI= -1.23, 0.12), and pharmaceuticals (rate difference= -5.72; 95% CI= -7.32, -4.11) than New York City primetime English television networks. CONCLUSIONS: Multilevel policy innovation and implementation are required to mitigate primetime television marketing strategies that contribute to health inequities.

RESUMEN

Mathematics anxiety (MA) is a widespread phenomenon that affects an individual's learning of mathematics. MA between different genders has been of great interest to researchers. Meta-analysis was used to examine the relationship between MA and gender in Chinese children, along with the influencing factors. After literature search and screening, 83 papers and 91 independent samples met the inclusion criteria. The results of the main effect test of the random effect model revealed a correlation of significant levels between MA and gender, r = -0.131, 95%CI [-0.158, -0.105], Z = -9.508, and p < 0.001. Girls had higher MA than boys. The outcomes of the moderating effect test indicated that the moderating effect of age, economic region and measurement instrument in the relationship between MA and gender was significant. But the moderating effect of period was not significant. Specifically, gender differences in MA were greater at the middle school compared to the elementary school. And the greatest correlation between children's MA and gender was in the western region. The gender difference of MA measured by different instruments varied.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Denervation of renal or perirenal adipose tissue (PRAT) can reduce arterial blood pressure in various hypertensive experimental models. Trpv1 (transient receptor potential vanillin 1) channel is highly expressed in the renal sensory nerves and the dorsal root ganglias (DRGs) projected by PRAT. However, it is currently unclear whether Trpv1 in DRGs projected from PRAT can regulate renal hypertension. METHODS: We used resintoxin (RTX) to block the afferent sensory nerves of rat PRAT. We also constructed Trpv1 -/- mice and Trpv1 +/- mice or used the injection of AAV2-retro-shTrpv1 to detect the effects of Trpv1 knockout or knockdown of PRAT-projected DRGs on deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA)-Salt-induced hypertension and kidney injury. RESULTS: Blocking the afferent sensory nerves of PRAT with RTX can alleviate DOCA-Salt-induced hypertension and renal injury in rats. And this blockade reduces the expression of Trpv1 in the DRGs projected by PRAT. Injecting AAV2-retro-shTrpv1 into the PRAT of DOCA-Salt mice also achieved the same therapeutic effect. However, DOCA-Salt-induced hypertension and renal injury can be treated in Trpv1 +/- mice but not alleviated or even worsened in Trpv1 -/- mice, possibly because of compensatory increase of Trpv5 in DRG of Trpv1 -/- mice. CONCLUSION: Reducing, rather than eliminating, Trpv1 in DRG from PRAT-projection can reduce blood pressure and kidney damage in DOCA-Salt in rats or mice. Trpv1 in PRAT-DRGs may serve as a therapeutic target for salt-sensitive hypertension and its renal complications.

RESUMEN

Post-translational modifications of proteins in malignant transformation and tumor maintenance of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in the context of KRAS signaling remain poorly understood. Here, we use the KPC mouse model to examine the effect of palmitoylation on pancreatic cancer progression. ZDHHC20, upregulated by KRAS, is abnormally overexpressed and associated with poor prognosis in patients with pancreatic cancer. Dysregulation of ZDHHC20 promotes pancreatic cancer progression in a palmitoylation-dependent manner. ZDHHC20 inhibits the chaperone-mediated autophagic degradation of YTHDF3 through S-palmitoylation of Cys474, which can result in abnormal accumulation of the oncogenic product MYC and thereby promote the malignant phenotypes of cancer cells. Further, we design a biologically active YTHDF3-derived peptide to competitively inhibit YTHDF3 palmitoylation mediated by ZDHHC20, which in turn downregulates MYC expression and inhibits the progression of KRAS mutant pancreatic cancer. Thus, these findings highlight the therapeutic potential of targeting the ZDHHC20-YTHDF3-MYC signaling axis in pancreatic cancer.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to investigate the association between physical activity and the four dimensions of psychosocial status in adults with epilepsy. METHODS: The data of individuals with epilepsy utilized in this cross-sectional study were derived from the 2022 National Health Interview Survey(NHIS). Physical activity was analyzed based on walking, moderate or vigorous intensity physical activity and the 2018 Physical Activity Guidelines (PAG) for Americans. The psychosocial status of the participants was assessed using self-report questionnaires that evaluated life satisfaction, symptoms of depression and anxiety, and social functioning. A multivariate ordinal regression model was employed to estimate odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) following adjustment for potential confounding factors. RESULTS: In total of 424 individuals with epilepsy(mean age:48.0 years; male: 40.6 %) were included in this study. About 39.9 % of the participants met the 2018 PAG for aerobic activity. After controlling for potential confounding factors, individuals who adhered to the 2018 PAG for aerobic activity were found to have a higher likelihood of reporting increased life satisfaction (OR, 0.39; 95 % CI: 0.21, 0.71), decreased symptoms of depression (OR, 0.53; 95 % CI: 0.30, 0.94), and improved social functioning (OR, 0.42; 95 % CI: 0.24, 0.74). However, no significant association was observed between physical activity and anxiety symptoms among individuals with epilepsy. CONCLUSIONS: This study emphasizes that moderate to vigorous physical activity enhances psychosocial health in individuals with epilepsy. Nevertheless, it is important to note that a causal relationship cannot be inferred from these findings, and further verification through randomized controlled trials is necessary.

RESUMEN

Efforts to prolong the blood circulation time and bypass immune clearance play vital roles in improving the therapeutic efficacy of nanoparticles (NPs). Herein, a multifunctional nanoplatform (BPP@RTL) that precisely targets tumor cells is fabricated by encapsulating ultrasmall phototherapeutic agent black phosphorus quantum dot (BPQD), chemotherapeutic drug paclitaxel (PTX), and immunomodulator PolyMetformin (PM) in hybrid membrane-camouflaged liposomes. Specifically, the hybrid cell membrane coating derived from the fusion of cancer cell membrane and red blood cell membrane displays excellent tumor targeting efficiency and long blood circulation property due to the innate features of both membranes. After collaboration with aPD-L1-based immune checkpoint blockade therapy, a boosted immunotherapeutic effect is obtained due to elevated dendritic cell maturation and T cell activation. Significantly, laser-irradiated BPP@RTL combined with aPD-L1 effectively eliminates primary tumors and inhibits lung metastasis in 4T1 breast tumor model, offering a promising treatment plan to develop personalized antitumor strategy.

RESUMEN

Owning to the high radiotoxicity in high concentrations, as well as the irreplaceability in quantifying soil erosion rates, demarcating the Anthropocene, and dating of sediment, anthropogenic 239,240Pu have drawn high attention. However, the source in specific areas, preservation characteristics in different environment media, and re-distribution process after the cessation of atmospheric nuclear weapons tests, have not been fully understood, which obscures the exact start year, temporal variation, and deposition flux of 239,240Pu in sedimentary records, and hinders the wide application of 239,240Pu in environment study. A sediment core from the Yiwu peat bog with dominance of atmospheric deposition in the source material, simple sedimentary environment, and high dust deposition flux, was collected to examine the 239,240Pu, and explore the source, preservation, and re-distribution process. The double peaks of 239,240Pu in 1952 CE and 1963 CE, as well as 240Pu/239Pu ratios of 0.163-0.190 with an average of 0.177 ± 0.010 confirmed that the 239,240Pu source originated predominantly from global fallout. The minimal vertical migration of plutonium in the Yiwu peat core was attributed to the near-neutral pH condition. The high inventory of 128 ± 7 Bq m-2, as well as the atypical negative correlation between 239,240Pu concentrations and organic matter content (r = - 0.79, P < 0.01), was attributed to the contribution of 239,240Pu re-suspended with dust from the neighboring Gobi Desert, particularly in the cold and dry years. The total re-suspended 239,240Pu was estimated to be 77 Bq m-2, exceeding the direct fallout level of 51 Bq m-2 during 1945-2016 CE. In this study, the specified deposition pattern of 239,240Pu after the cessation of atmospheric nuclear weapons was established, providing an important standard for multiple environmental studies, and the re-suspended amount of 239,240Pu in a typical arid area was quantified for the first time.

RESUMEN

The number of parents in China who have lost their only child, referred to as shidu parents, currently exceeds one million and is increasing by approximately 76,000 annually. Shidu parents face a unique challenge in long-term care, primarily stemming from the sudden and tragic loss of their only child, which leads to a substantial decrease in their social support network. A multi-stage, stratified, and cluster sampling method was employed across various economic belts. Linear regression analysis was utilized to examine factors associated with the social support status of shidu and non-shidu parents. The level of social support decreases as the severity of depression increases. Shidu parents with grandchildren tend to have good social support. The city of Hangzhou exhibits relatively high levels of social support. Married individuals typically report higher levels of social support. It is recommended to prioritize shidu parents without grandchildren as a primary focus for government and societal support. Key recommendations include strengthening social skills training and developing social support networks. Drive economic development, particularly in relatively underdeveloped regions. Strengthen social organizations and community development. Enhancing access to support services, leveraging technology, and encouraging volunteerism for non-married parents.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The relationship between lung function and sarcopenia remains ambiguous. The primary aim of this study was to investigate the potential association between lung function and sarcopenia in the older adults, as well as to examine the mediating role of cognitive function in this relationship. METHODS: The participants were selected from a nationally representative population-based cohort in China. The peak expiratory flow (PEF) measurement was used to evaluate the lung function in older persons. The sarcopenia was diagnosed using the guidelines of the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia (AWGS) in 2019. The Cox proportional hazard model was utilized to perform primary analyses of the relationship between PEF and sarcopenia. The mediating effect of cognitive function was evaluated using the counterfactual mediation method. RESULTS: This cohort study included 4,011 older adults (average age, 66.6 years; 53.3% males). During a follow-up period of 3.86 years, 349 individuals were diagnosed with sarcopenia. After adjusting for potential confounders, each one-standard-deviation increase in PEF was associated with a 28% reduction in the risk of sarcopenia (hazard ratio [HR]: 0.72; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.63, 0.80). There was a significant mediation of cognition for the association between PEF and incident sarcopenia, and the proportion mediated was 12.2% (95% CI: 4.5%, 23.1%). CONCLUSIONS: Older adults with impaired lung function are more likely to develop sarcopenia. Nevertheless, cognition can explain only a small portion of this association. Thus, other potential pathways between lung function and sarcopenia must be elucidated.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: With the increase in the prevalence rate and improvements in the survival of breast cancer patients, there is a growing interest in understanding the level of psychosocial adjustment in these patients. The study aimed to describe the illness perception and psychosocial adjustment levels of both breast cancer patients and their spouses, to use the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) to clarify the actor-partner relationships between spouses, and to explore the impact of illness perception on psychosocial adjustment to the disease within the joint actions of both spouses. METHODS: A total of 216 female patients with breast cancer and their spouses participated in the study. They were selected from two tertiary hospitals in Guangdong Province, China from October 2022 to May 2023 using a convenience sampling method. The participants were assessed using the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire and the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale to examine the relationship between illness perception and psychosocial adjustment. AMOS24.0 was used to test and analyze the actor-partner interdependence model. RESULTS: The illness perception score (57.75 ± 10.91) was slightly higher than that of the spouse (57.10 ± 11.00), and the psychosocial adjustment score (64.67 ± 6.33) was slightly lower than that of the spouse (64.76 ± 7.49). The results of the actor-partner interdependence model indicated that there was a couple partner between breast cancer patients and their spouses: the spouse's illness perception significantly affected the patient's psychosocial adjustment (ß = 0.095, p = 0.015); the patient's illness perception also significantly affected the spouse's psychosocial adjustment (ß = 0.106, p = 0.033). Among them, the patient's psychosocial adjustment was found to be related to the patient's illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (ß = 0.433, p = 0.009), the spouse's emotional illness representation (ß = 0.218, p = 0.037), and the spouse's illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (ß = 0.416, p = 0.007), while the spouse's psychosocial adjustment was only related to the spouse's illness comprehensibility or coherence of illness (ß = 0.528, p = 0.007). CONCLUSIONS: The psychosocial adjustment of breast cancer patients is affected by both their own and spouse's illness perception. Therefore, in the future, the healthcare staff can implement early psychological interventions for patients diagnosed with breast cancer and their spouses as a unit to promote the psychosocial adjustment of them.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Nutcracker syndrome is a disease characterized by complex symptoms, making its diagnosis challenging and often delayed, often resulting in a painful experience for the patients. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the pathogenesis of nutcracker syndrome through the perspective of hemodynamics by simulating blood flow with varying compression degrees of the left renal vein. METHODS: 3D patient-specific vascular models of the abdominal aorta, superior mesenteric artery and left renal vein were constructed based on CT images of patients suspected of having nutcracker syndrome. A hemodynamic simulation was then conducted using computational fluid dynamics to identify the correlation between alterations in hemodynamic parameters and varying degrees of compression. RESULTS: The study indicated the presence of an evident gradient in velocity distribution over the left renal vein with relatively high degrees of stenosis (α ≤ 50°), with maximum velocity in the central region of the stenosis. Additionally, when the compression degree of the left renal vein increases, the pressure distribution of the left renal vein presents an increasing number of gradient layers. Furthermore, the wall shear stress shows a correlation with the variation of blood flow velocity, i.e., the increase of wall shear stress correlates with the acceleration of the blood flow velocity. CONCLUSIONS: Using computational fluid dynamics as a non-invasive instrument to obtain the hemodynamic characteristics of nutcracker syndrome is feasible and could provide insights into the pathological mechanisms of the nutcracker syndrome supporting clinicians in diagnosis.

RESUMEN

Herein, a palladium-catalyzed regioselective alkynylation, esterification, and amination of allylic gem-difluorides via C-F bond activation/transmetallation/ß-C elimination or nucleophilic attack has been achieved. This innovative protocol showcases an extensive substrate range and operates efficiently under mild reaction conditions, resulting in high product yields and Z-selectivity. Particularly noteworthy is its exceptional tolerance towards a wide array of functional groups. This developed methodology provides effective and convenient routes to access a diverse array of essential fluorinated enynes, esters and amines.
