RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Parenting support is a subject of a public health policy in France, identified as a means of reducing health inequalities in early childhood. Pediatric nurses, for their leadership role in supporting children and their families, are at the heart of these actions, but their feedback appears more in grey literature, rather than in scientific literature. AIM: To describe and analyze actions of parenting support, performed by pediatric nurses, through professional literature, to give them visibility within the scientific community. METHOD: A literature review was conducted from the EM-consulte database from 2009 to 2015. The analysis of the selected articles was inspired by a grid for collecting parenting support, developed by the French Society of Public Health, adjusted to the needs of the work. RESULTS: 88 articles were selected, identifying both actions including parenting support as primary aim, and actions where parenting support appeared as a philosophy of care and support to children and their families. Actions took place in all sectors of health, social and educational activities. The qualification approach is clearly used by pediatric nurses for these actions. CONCLUSIONS: This review has helped draw up an inventory of the role of pediatric nurses in parenting support in France, identifying areas for improvement in practice, in the exchange of experiences and in knowledge dissemination.

RESUMO

A new bromoindolesulfonic acid derivative, echinosulfonic acid D (1) was isolated from the New-Caledonian sponge Psammoclemma sp. in a minute quantity. The structure of the alkaloid was established by spectroscopic methods and, in particular, by ESI MSn experiments. Echinosulfonic acid D was cytotoxic to KB cells (IC50 2 microg/mL).

RESUMO

[structure: see text] The crude methanol extract of a marine sponge Cymbastela sp. collected in Papua New Guinea was selected for chemical investigation due to its significant cytotoxicity. Fractionation of the extract led to the isolation of jaspamide (1), hemiasterlin (2), milnamide A (3), and a new metabolite, milnamide D (4). The structure was solved by interpretation of NMR and mass spectra data. The cytotoxic and antitubulin activities of milnamide D (4) were evaluated.

RESUMO

Psammoclemma sp. (Phoriospongiidae) was selected for study through biological screening carried out in New Caledonia. The crude extract of Psammoclemma sp. was highly active on KB cells and its fractionation led to the isolation of two macrolides chondropsin A 1 and 73-deoxychondropsin A 2. The complex structures were elucidated by a combination of spectroscopic methods (NMR, ESI-MS/MS). These known compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity towards several tumor cell lines and exhibited an IC50 of approximately 10(-10) M. Flow-cytometric analysis revealed that chondropsin A 1 and 73-deoxychondropsin A 2 blocked the entry of HL 60 and KB cells into G2/M phase, leading to cell death by apoptosis.

RESUMO

Cytotoxicity-guided fractionation of the crude methanol extract of a marine sponge, Ircinia sp., yielded tedanolide C (1), a new 18-membered macrolide. The structure was solved by interpreting NMR and MS data, and the relative stereochemistry was determined from a combination of homo- and heteronuclear coupling constants in conjunction with molecular modeling. Compound 1 exhibited potent cytotoxicity against HCT-116 cells in vitro. Cell cycle analysis showed that treatment of cells with compound 1 arrested cells in the S-phase.
