Two new species of Lachesilla in the andra group, from the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Lachesillidae).

Two new species of Lachesilla in the andra group are described from Brazil, where the group was previously unknown. They raise to five the number of species in the group known in South America. An identification key for females of the andra group in South America is included.

The Blue Legged Predatory Katydid-a new species of Listroscelis Serville, 1883 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Listroscelidinae: Listroscelidini) from the Atlantic Rainforest.

The genus Listroscelis is part of Listroscelidini (Tettigoniidae: Listroscelidinae) and comprises 11 species of predatory katydids only known from Brazil. Currently, the group's greatest richness is recorded in the Atlantic Forest biome. In this work, the new species Listroscelis cyanotibiatus sp. nov. is described to the Northeastern Atlantic Forest biome. Morphological characters of both sexes and the male internal genitalia are described. A distribution map of the species and comments on its natural history are provided.

The Bromeliad Blue Horn Katydida new genus of the Cone-headed Katydid (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Conocephalinae: Copiphorini) from the Serra da Jibia, Bahia, Brazil.

The tribe Copiphorini (Conocephalinae: Tettigoniidae) currently comprises 58 genera and 442 species widely distributed across all continents, with the exception of Antarctica. In Brazil, 19 genera and 100 species are recorded. The tribe stands out within the Conocephalinae for including several genera with the fastigium-vertex expanded, forming horns and other elaborate structures. In this work, the new monotypic genus Ibityraboia gen. nov. and the new species Ibityraboia caraguata sp. nov., from Serra da Jibia, located in the Agreste of Bahia, Brazil. Maps, natural history observations, and comments on the differences between Ibityraboia gen. nov. and Copiphora Serville are provided.

Intraspecific wing venation and phallosome taxonomy updates in species of Loneura Navs (Psocodea, Ptiloneuridae), with one new species from cave and key to Loneura species from Brazil.

cavernicola sp. nov. is here described and illustrated, based on male and female specimens collected in caves located in an ecotone region between the Brazilian Savannah (Cerrado biome) and the Atlantic Forest, in Minas Gerais state, southeastern Brazil. Illustrations are provided of 19 types of variation in the fore and hindwings veins of males and females. Illustrations are presented of the holotype of L. maracaensis Garca Aldrete, along with illustrations of 18 types of variation in the fore and hindwing veins of males and females. Additionally, a new methodology applied in some specimens of L. maracaensis to process the genital pieces allowed us to know the arrangement and delimitations of each of the sclerites and their possible position during copulation. We therefore propose a phallosome taxonomic update. In these everted male genitalia, the spermatic sac and attached glands were identified for the first time. An identification key is presented to the Brazilian species of Loneura, based on males.

Checklist and identification key to Brazilian species of Triplocania Roesler (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Psocomorpha: Ptiloneuridae), with four new cave-dwelling species.

Four species of Triplocania are described and illustrated (T. brancoi n. sp., T. ferratilis n. sp., T. pains n. sp., and T. zairae n. sp.), all based on male specimens collected in caves of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. An identification key is presented to the Brazilian species of Triplocania, based on males, together with information on both sexes and distributions.

Identification key, checklist and new species of Loneura Navs (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera: Ptiloneuridae) from Brazil.

Four Brazilian species of Loneura are described and assigned to infrageneric groups: L. digitiformis n. sp., L. manauara n. sp., and L. marinonii n. sp, to Loneura group I, and L. duckei n. sp. to Loneura group II. This genus now comprises 45 species, of which 8 (18%) are from Brazil. Of these species, 19 are known only from males, 4 known only from females, 21 are known from both sexes, with one species of unknown sex. The infrageneric classification is based on the number of hypandrium sclerites, either one or three, and is based on the 40 species for which males are known, with 20 species in Group I and 20 species in Group II. An identification key to species from Brazil based on male characters is provided, together with a checklist.

A new species of Loneura Navás and taxonomic update of L. boliviana Williner and L. meridionalis García Aldrete (Psocodea: Psocomorpha: Ptiloneuridae).

A new species of Loneura named as Loneura willineri n. sp. is described from Bolivia, and and variation in the venation of the fore and hindwings discussed. Both sexes of Loneura meridionalis García Aldrete are described, inclulding variation in the fore and hindwing venation, and this species is withdrawn from synonymy with Loneura boliviana, a species now considered a nomen dubium.

emTimnewia/em García Aldrete (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Ptiloneuridae): new species and variation in the wing venation of emT. jeaneae/em Silva-Neto, García Aldrete amp; Rafael.

A new species of Timnewia from the Brazilian state of Amazonas, is here described, illustrated and named as: Timnewia amazonense n. sp. This new species differs from T. greeni and T. jeaneae in details of the hypandrium and phallosome. New observations on variation in the forewing venation of T. jeaneae are also presented.

New Neotropical species of Lachesilla Westwood, in species group forcepeta (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Lachesillidae).

Eight species of Lachesilla, in species group forcepeta, are described and illustrated: three species from Costa Rica (Lachesilla herediana n. sp., Lachesilla raravis n. sp., and Lachesilla ticana n. sp.), one species from Costa Rica and Panama (Lachesilla odontiforceps n. sp.), one species each from Brazil (Lachesilla oriximinaensis n. sp.), Mexico (Lachesilla concaensis n. sp.) and Panama (Lachesilla albrookensis n. sp.), and one species from Guatemala, Mexico and Panama (Lachesilla tenuidenticulata n. sp.). The location of the types is indicated in each description.

Catalogue of type specimens of Insecta (Arthropoda: Hexapoda) deposited in the entomological collection of the Museum of Zoology of Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, Brazil.

This contribution is an update catalogue of the type specimens of Insecta deposited in the entomological collection Prof. Johann Becker of the Museum of Zoology of Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil. A list of 206 holtypes and 1,430 paratypes of 23 families, 73 genera, and 244 species allocated in 12 orders. Lectotype and paralectotypes of Bitoma palmarum Bondar, 1940 were designated. Diptera present the highest number of types on the collection, with 161 holotypes and 1,324 paratypes.

Redescription of Polichnodes americana Giglio-Tos, 1898 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) with a new record and habitat notes from Brazilian Amazon Rainforest.

In this work it was made the redescription of male of Polichnodes americana including new traits as internal genitalia and morphology of stridulatory files. Also it was recorded for the first time the distribution of this species to Brazil, in Amazonas, and notes on habitat.

Loneura Navás (Psocodea: Psocomorpha: Ptiloneuridae): new species from Brazil, and description of the female of Loneura maracaensis Garcia Aldrete, with a checklist of all known species of the genus.

A new Loneura species from the Brazilian state of Bahia (Loneura baiana n. sp.), is here described and illustrated. It is assignable to a species group of the genus but not to any of its subgroups. The previously unknown female of Loneura maracaensis Garcia Aldrete is described and illustrated, comments on variation in the fore- and hindwing venation of two male specimens of this species are included. Information on sexes known and distribution is included for all known species of Loneura.

New species of Euplocania Enderlein (Psocodea, 'Psocoptera', Ptiloneuridae) from Brazil, with a checklist of all known species of the genus.

Seven new species of Brazilian Euplocania are described and illustrated, five species belong in the amabilis species group (Euplocania bujariensis n. sp., Euplocania cearaensis n. sp., Euplocania hutchingsi n. sp., Euplocania pseudopictaoides n. sp. and Euplocania xavieri n. sp.) one species belong in the marginata species group (Euplocania uariniensis n. sp.) and one species is not assignable to any of the known species groups of the genus. For this species, E. quinquedivisa n. sp., a new species group is here diagnosed, the quinquedivisa group. Information on sexes known and distribution is included for all known species of Euplocania. The first identification key to males of Euplocania species from Brazil is presented.

Lithoseopsis Mockford (Psocodea: Troctomorpha: Amphientomidae): a new species and first record for South America.

A species of Lithoseopsis Mockford, from the Brazilian state of Pará, is described and illustrated. It is the first species of Lithoseopsis recorded in Brazil, and the first of that genus known in South America. It differs from all the other species in the genus in details of the forewing pigmentation and spermapore sclerite. A map with the distribution of the Lithoseopsis species is included and two species groups of Lithoseopsis are diagnosed.

Two new species of Brasineura Silva-Neto García Aldrete (Psocodea, 'Psocoptera', Ptiloneuridae), from Brazil.

Two new Brazilian species of Brasineura are described and illustrated, one based on male and female specimens and one based on male specimens only: Brasineura jiboia n.sp. (Bahia: Brazil) and Brasineura spinosa n.sp. (Espírito Santo: Brazil). They differ from the other species in the genus, in which the males are known, by hypandrium and phallosome structures. The first known female Brasineura is described here. The first identification key to males of Brasineura species is presented, as well as a proposal of homology for the structures of the phallosome.

After seventy-seven years Ptiloneuropsis Roesler (Psocodea: Psocomorpha: Ptiloneuridae) ceases to be a monotypic genus: a new species from Bahia, Brazil.

A new species of Ptiloneuropsis from the Brazilian state of Bahia is here described and illustrated, it is based on male and female specimens; it differs from P. immaculata Roesler in details of the hypandrium and phallosome; the female is the first known in the genus.

A new genus in the family Ptiloneuridae (Psocodea: 'Psocoptera': Psocomorpha: Epipsocetae) from Brazil.

A new ptiloneurid genus from Brazil, Brasineura n. gen., is described and illustrated. It includes two species, both known only from males, one from the Chapada Diamantina (State of Bahia), and one troglophilic species from the State of Pará. It differs from all other known ptiloneurid genera, in which the males are known, by the unique structure of the phallosome, and by having a uniquely shaped hypandrium of a single sclerite. An updated identification key to the genera of Ptiloneuridae is presented and the synonymy between Brisacia and Loneura is proposed. 

New species of Triplocania Roesler (Psocodea, 'Psocoptera', Ptiloneuridae), from Brazil and Ecuador.

Four species of Triplocania, three with M3 simple, based on male specimens and one with forewing M3 forked, based on male and female specimens, are here described and illustrated, namely: Triplocaniabravoi sp. n. (Napo: Ecuador), Triplocaniaerwini sp. n. (Napo: Ecuador), Triplocaniatrifida sp. n. (Mato Grosso and Rondônia: Brazil) and Triplocanialamasoides sp. n. (Rondônia: Brazil). They differ from all the other species in the genus, in which the males are known, by the hypandrium and phallosome structures. The female is first described for the M3 forked group. The identification key for males of the M3 forked group is updated.

Four new Brazilian species of Triplocania with forewing M3 forked are described and illustrated based on male specimens, namely: Triplocania lamasi n.sp. (Mato Grosso: Brazil), Triplocania mariateresae n.sp. (Rio de Janeiro: Brazil), Triplocania newi n.sp. (Tocantins: Brazil) and Triplocania plaumanni n.sp. (Santa Catarina: Brasil). They differ from all the other species in the genus, in which the males are known, by the hypandrium and phallosome structures.
