RESUMO

With the rapid development of cyber-physical systems (CPS), building cyber-physical systems with high quality of service (QoS) has become an urgent requirement in both academia and industry. During the procedure of building Cyber-physical systems, it has been found that a large number of functionally equivalent services exist, so it becomes an urgent task to recommend suitable services from the large number of services available in CPS. However, since it is time-consuming, and even impractical, for a single user to invoke all of the services in CPS to experience their QoS, a robust QoS prediction method is needed to predict unknown QoS values. A commonly used method in QoS prediction is collaborative filtering, however, it is hard to deal with the data sparsity and cold start problem, and meanwhile most of the existing methods ignore the data credibility issue. Thence, in order to solve both of these challenging problems, in this paper, we design a framework of QoS prediction for CPS services, and propose a personalized QoS prediction approach based on reputation and location-aware collaborative filtering. Our approach first calculates the reputation of users by using the Dirichlet probability distribution, so as to identify untrusted users and process their unreliable data, and then it digs out the geographic neighborhood in three levels to improve the similarity calculation of users and services. Finally, the data from geographical neighbors of users and services are fused to predict the unknown QoS values. The experiments using real datasets show that our proposed approach outperforms other existing methods in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.

Designing and developing suitable oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts with high activity and stability remain challenging in electrolytic water splitting. Hence, NiFe@NC@MoS2 core-bishell composites wrapped by molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) and nitrogen-doped graphene (NC) were prepared using hydrothermal synthesis in this research. NiFe@NC@MoS2 composite exhibits excellent performance with an overpotential of 288 mV and a Tafel slope of 53.2 mV·dec-1 at a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 in 1 M KOH solution, which is superior to commercial RuO2. NC and MoS2 bishells create profuse edge active sites that enhance the adsorption ability of OOH* while lowering the overall overpotential of the product and improving its oxygen precipitation performance. The density function theory(DFT) analysis confirms that the layered MoS2 in NiFe@NC@MoS2 provides additional edge active sites and enhances electron transfer, thus increasing the intrinsic catalytic activity. This research paves a novel way for developing OER electrocatalysts with excellent catalytic performance.

Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is one promising technique to obtain high-purity hydrogen, therefore, exploiting inexpensive and high-efficiency HER electrocatalysts is a matter of cardinal significance under the background of achieving carbon neutrality. In this paper, a hydrothermal method was used to prepare the Cr-NiC2O4/NF (Ni foam) precursor. Then, the NiO-Cr-C/NF self-supporting HER catalyst was obtained by heating the precursor at 400 °C. The catalyst presents a 3D cellular nanospheres structure which was composed of 2D nanosheets. Microstructure characterization shows that Cr and C elements were successfully doped into NiO. The results of electrochemical measurements and density functional theory (DFT) calculations show that under the synergy of Cr and C, the conductivity of NiO was improved, and the Gibbs free energy of H* (∆GH*) value is optimized. As a result, in 1.0 M KOH solution the NiO-Cr-C/NF-3 (Ni:Cr = 7:3) HER catalyst exhibits an overpotential of 69 mV and a Tafel slope of 45 mV/dec when the current density is 10 mA·cm-2. Besides, after 20 h of chronopotentiometry, the catalytic activity is basically unchanged. It is demonstrated that C and Cr co-doping on the lattice of NiO prepared by a simple hydrothermal method and subsequent heat treatment to improve the catalytic activity and stability of the non-precious metal HER catalysts in an alkaline medium is facile and efficient.

Many important biological functions depend on microorganisms' ability to move in viscoelastic fluids such as mucus and wet soil. The effects of fluid elasticity on motility remain poorly understood, partly because the swimmer strokes depend on the properties of the fluid medium, which obfuscates the mechanisms responsible for observed behavioural changes. In this study, we use experimental data on the gaits of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii swimming in Newtonian and viscoelastic fluids as inputs to numerical simulations that decouple the swimmer gait and fluid type in order to isolate the effect of fluid elasticity on swimming. In viscoelastic fluids, cells employing the Newtonian gait swim faster but generate larger stresses and use more power, and as a result the viscoelastic gait is more efficient. Furthermore, we show that fundamental principles of swimming based on viscous fluid theory miss important flow dynamics: fluid elasticity provides an elastic memory effect that increases both the forward and backward speeds, and (unlike purely viscous fluids) larger fluid stress accumulates around flagella moving tangent to the swimming direction, compared with the normal direction.

BACKGROUND: Use of inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) in Jinan during the polio eradication endgame has not been previously documented. Two IPV-containing vaccines were made available as an option for Jinan parents in 2009. We describe coverage levels and patterns of use of IPV over time using data from the Jinan Childhood Immunization Information Management System (JNCIIMS). METHODS: Children born between January 2010 and December 2014 who were registered in JNCIIMS were included in this study. Vaccination records were obtained from JNCIIMS on April 30, 2015. JNCIIMS distinguishes among available poliovirus vaccines; doses administered data were used to describe IPV usage over time. We identified the polio vaccination sequences used by children in the 2012 and 2013 birth cohorts. Coverage estimates were analyzed by birth cohort and migration status. We developed 3 categories for analysis: "resident child," "migrant child" and "other child" according to migration status. RESULTS: In total, 12,354 (11.7%) IPV, 5,893(5.6%) DTP-IPV-Hib vaccine and 87,054(82.7%) OPV doses were administered to children in the 2010 to 2014 birth cohorts. The proportion of children using an IPV-only schedule increased each year, consistent with the introduction of IPV that is called for by the Polio Eradication Endgame Strategic Plan 2013-2018. During this time, 4.7% children used a schedule containing both IPV and oral poliovirus vaccine (OPV). In the 2012 to 2013 birth cohorts, 14.4% children used an IPV-only schedule; 5.7% children used a sequential schedule, and 79.9% used OPV-only schedule. Use of IPV only schedules was higher among migrant children than among resident children. Among those sequential schedule using both IPV and OPV, 87.2% children used IPV for the first dose and 12.8% used OPV for the first dose. CONCLUSIONS: JNCIIMS provided a mechanism for tracking IPV and OPV vaccination patterns, and showed areas in need of improvement. Ensuring appropriately sequenced IPV and OPV supports reduction of risk of vaccine associated paralytic polio.

Butanol production from corn stover hydrolysates (CSH) with in-situ liquid-liquid extraction was studied to enhance the production and reduce the fermentation cost. Oleyl alcohol was selected as the suitable solvent and added at the initial fermentation time with the ratio of 1:1 (oleyl alcohol: fermentation broth, V/V). Under this condition, butanol and ABE from CSH with 32.1 g/L total sugars were 3.28 and 4.72 g/L, which were 958.1% and 742.9% higher than those of the controls, respectively. Butanol and ABE production from CSH of 49.7 g/L total sugars after detoxification by ion exchange resin D301 coupled with extraction fermentation were 10.34 g/L and 14.72 g/L with an ABE yield of 0.31 g/g (g ABE/g utilized sugar), which were equal to those of glucose and xylose mixture fermentation. The detoxification and extraction fermentation technology of cellulosic butanol production would provide a crucial technical support to the industrialized production of cellulosic butanol.
