RESUMO

A new chemodosimeter SWJT-31 with an aggregation-induced emission (AIE) effect was designed and constructed. Upon increasing the water fraction in the solution, it exhibited typical AIE, which showed bright red fluorescence at 610 nm. SWJT-31 could sensitively and specifically recognize hydrazine by the TICT effect with an LOD of 33.8 nM, which was much lower than the standard of the USEPA. A portable test strip prepared using SWJT-31 was also developed for the visual detection of hydrazine. Eventually, it was successfully used for the detection of hydrazine in water samples and HeLa cells.

RESUMO

Based on aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) mechanisms, a fluorescent probe SWJT-12 for the detection of ClO- was designed by using the CN bond as a reactive group. This synthesized probe can react with ClO- in a high aqueous phase, and it shows a large Stokes shift (144 nm) and low biological toxicity. Its limit of detection was calculated to be 0.28 µM. Furthermore, SWJT-12 was successfully used for ratiometric imaging of the exogenous hypochlorite anion in living cells.

RESUMO

Memristor with low-power, high density, and scalability fulfills the requirements of the applications of the new computing system beyond Moore's law. However, there are still nonideal device characteristics observed in the memristor to be solved. The important observation is that retention and speed are correlated parameters of memristor with trade off against each other. The delicately modulating distribution and trapping level of defects in electron migration-based memristor is expected to provide a compromise method to address the contradictory issue of improving both switching speed and retention capability. Here, high-performance memristor based on the structure of ITO/Ni single-atoms (NiSAs/N-C)/Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP)/Au is reported. By utilizing well-distributed trapping sites , small tunneling barriers/distance and high charging energy, the memristor with an ultrafast switching speed of 100 ns, ultralong retention capability of 106  s, a low set voltage (Vset ) of ≈0.7 V, a substantial ON/OFF ration of 103 , and low spatial variation in cycle-to-cycle (500 cycles) and device-to-device characteristics (128 devices) is demonstrated. On the premise of preserving the strengths of a fast switching speed, this memristor exhibits ultralong retention capability comparable to the commercialized flash memory. Finally, a memristor ratioed logic-based combinational memristor array to realize the one-bit full adder is further implemented.

RESUMO

7-Difluoromethoxyl-5,4'-di-n-octylgenistein (DFOG) is a novel synthetic genistein analogue that possesses anti-cancer activity in a variety of cancers, including ovarian cancer. The objective of the present study was to investigate whether DFOG inhibits the self-renewal capacity of ovarian cancer stem-like cells (OCSLCs) and to identify its potential mechanism of action. It was found that the sphere-forming cells (SFCs) of the SKOV3 cell line exhibited a self-renewal capacity and high tumorigenicity, indicating that they possessed the properties of ovarian cancer stem cells (OCSCs). It was also shown for the first time that DFOG preferentially inhibited proliferation, self-renewal capacity and expression of stem cell markers [cluster of differentiation (CD)133, CD44 and aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1)] in the SFCs derived from the SKOV3 cells. These effects were accompanied by the downregulation of forkhead box M1 (FOXM1) expression. Overexpression of FOXM1 rescued the DFOG-induced downregulation of FOXM1, CD133, CD44 and ALDH1 protein expression. It also inhibited the self-renewal capacity of the SFCs derived from the SKOV3 cells. Thus, DFOG appears to inhibit the characteristics of OCSLCs by downregulating FOXM1 expression.
