RESUMO

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the clinical outcomes of arthroscopic tight fibrous band release in the treatment of adult moderate-to-severe gluteal fibrosis using anterior and posterior portals during mid-term follow-up. METHODS: The data of 138 patients (58 males, 80 females) aged between 18 and 42 years (mean, 28.6 years), presenting with bilateral moderate-to-severe gluteal fibrosis (GF) from October 2013 to August 2019, was retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent arthroscopic tight fibrous band release using anterior and posterior portals with radiofrequency energy. Under arthroscopic guidance through the posterior portal, we debrided the fatty tissue overlying the contracted band of the gluteal muscle and excised the contracted bands using a radiofrequency device introduced through the anterior portal. The pre- and post-operative gluteal muscle contracture disability (GD) scale and the patient satisfaction rate were compared to evaluate the curative effect of the operation. RESULTS: The average operation time was 18 min (range, 10-30 min) and the average blood loss was 4 ml (range, 2-10 ml) for unilateral arthroscopic release. Two cases of post-operative minimal hematomas, 2 cases of bruising and 2 cases of local subcutaneous edema were observed as early complications and were cured by conservative treatment. After surgery, all incisions healed in stage I, and no other complications such as wound infection, nerve and blood vessel injury were detected. One hundred eighteen patients were followed up for 6 to 72 months (mean, 36 months). No lateral instability of the hip was observed and all patients returned to normal gait. The degree of adduction of the hip joint in all these 118 patients was significantly improved relative to their pre-operative conditions. One hundred fifteen patients (97.5%) were able to crouch with knees close to each other after surgery. One hundred fourteen patients (96.6%) were able to cross the affected leg completely without any support. The GD scale was improved from 55.5 ± 10.6 before operation to 90.1 ± 5.2 at the last follow-up (p < 0.05). The patient satisfaction rate was 95.8%. CONCLUSION: Arthroscopic tight fibrous band release using anterior and posterior portals is minimally invasive for adult moderate-to-severe gluteal fibrosis, with a high success rate, quick recovery after surgery and reliable medium-term effect.

RESUMO

A new 19-oxo-18,19-seco-ursane-type triterpeonoid saponin, laevigin E (8), together with 17 known compounds (1 - 7 and 9 - 18) were isolated from the root bark of Ilex rotunda Thunb. Their structures were determined by various spectroscopic analysis. Among them, compounds 6, 9, 11, and 18 were isolated from this species for the first time, while compounds 10 and 12 were firstly isolated from the family Aquifoliaceae. Biological activity assay showed that all triterpenoids exhibit moderate cytotoxic activities against MCF7, A549, HeLa and LN229 cell lines. The four triterpenoid saponins (3, 4, 6, and 8) exhibit slightly better activities compared to the four triterpenoid sapogenins (1, 2, 5, and 7). Compound 8 showed the best cytotoxicity against A549, HeLa and LN229 cell lines with IC50 of 17.83, 22.58 and 30.98 µm, respectively.

RESUMO

To investigate the temporal variation of the sediment prokaryote communities and their relation with the rapid increase of algae population in Taihu, a shallow eutrophic freshwater Lake, water and surface sediments were sampled from seven sites in different stages of algal bloom. The physicochemical characterization revealed positive correlations among the nutrient (N, P) parameters in the water and sediments, as well as TN/TP ratio 30.79 in average in water and 0.13 in sediments, demonstrating that P content was the limit factor for bloom in Taihu and sediment was an important nutrient resource for the water body. T-RFLP analysis of 16S rRNA genes revealed a diversity decrease of sediment prokaryotic communities along the bloom. The bacterial communities in sediments were more sensitive and shaped by the temporal changes, while archaea were more sensitive to the trophic level. The pyrosequencing data showed clear spatial and temporal changes in diversity of sediment bacteria. Betaproteobacteria was the most abundant group in all the samples, following by Delta-, Gama- and Alpha-proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Chlorobi, Chloroflexi etc. At the genus level, Thiobacillus and Sulfuricurvum were the most dominant groups in the sediments, and the increase of Thiobacillus abundance in February might be used as bioindicator for the subsequent bloom. In addition, NO3 (-)-N was evidenced to be the main factor to regulate the bacterial community structure in the sediments. These results offered some novel and important data for the evaluation and predict the algal bloom in Taihu and can be reference for other shallow fresh water lakes.

RESUMO

Our recent studies have shown that hypothermic microenvironment promotes tumor progression and that the molecular sensors for cold are the transient receptor potential (TRP) channels TRPM8 and TRPA1. To evaluate the contribution of TRPM8 and TRPA1 to cancer malignancy, we screened cell subpopulations from Lewis lung cancer (LLC) using limiting dilutions and Western blotting. We identified that LLC-1 cells express 3-fold more TRPM8 than TRPA1, LLC-2 cells express TRPM8 at levels similar to TRPA1, and LLC-3 cells express TRPM8 at one-third the level of TRPA1. LLC-2 cells showed greater adhesion, migration, invasiveness and resistance to hypothermia than LLC-1 and LLC-3 cells, although LLC-2 cells had a longer doubling time. TRPM8 or TRPA1 knockdown using siRNA promoted cell proliferation and decreased adhesion and invasiveness in LLC-2 cells. When assessed for UCP2 staining, LLC-1 cells showed increased staining compared to LLC-2 cells, both of which had more UCP2-positive cells than the LLC-3 subpopulation. In an autophagy assay, hypothermia induced substantially less autophagy in LLC-1 cells than in LLC-2 cells, which displayed decreased autophagy compared to LLC-3 cells. Moreover, mice injected with LLC-2 cells had significantly more spontaneous and experimental lung metastases and a shorter overall survival time than mice injected with LLC-1 or LLC-3 cells. Importantly, LLC-2 cells were also more resistant to activated spleen CTL and the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin than LLC-1 and LLC-3 cells in vitro. Collectively, our data suggest that TRPM8 induces UCP2 to trigger metabolic transformation, whereas TRPA1 induces autophagy during adverse conditions, and the combination of both genes contributes directly to an invasive phenotype in lung cancer.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of alcohol extracts from Pharbitidis Semen on the proliferation and metastasis of Lewis lung cancer, and study its anti-tumor mechanism. METHOD: In vitro, MTT assay and scratch assay were adopted to detect the effect of alcohol extracts from Pharbitidis Semen on the proliferation and metastasis of Lewis lung cancer cells. The cell autophagy was detected by the acridine orange staining. The gap-junction intercellular communication (GJIC) was investigated by the fluorescent yellow transfer. The expression of aquaporin 1 (AQP1) was analyzed by the Western blotting. In vivo, the subcutaneous implant model and the experimental pulmonary metastasis model of Lewis lung cancer in mice were established to evaluate the anti-tumor and anti-metastasis effects of alcohol extract from Pharbitidis Semen. The serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and beta2 microglobulin (beta2-MG) of mice bearing Lewis lung cancer were detected by the electrochemiluminesence immunoassay. The expressions of lung AQP1 and Connexin 43 (Cx43) were examined by the immunohistochemical method. RESULT: In vitro, alcohol extracts from Pharbitidis Semen inhibited the cell proliferation in a dose-dependent matter, significantly prevented the cell migration, down-regulated AQP1 proteins of cells, promoted GJIC, and decreased the serum-free autophagy of tumor cells. In vivo, compared with untreated model mice, alcohol extracts from Pharbitidis Semen inhibited the tumor growth in a dose-dependent matter, prevented the tumor metastasis and prolonged the life span of mice bearing Lewis lung cancer, while decreasing serum CEA and beta2-MG of mice bearing Lewis lung cancer, enhancing the immumohistochemical staining intensity of Cx43 and weakening aquaporins AQP1 positive intensity. CONCLUSION: Alcohol extracts from Pharbitidis Semen could prevent the proliferation and metastasis in Lewis lung cancer cells. Its mechanism may be related to the promotion of GJIC and the down-regulation of AQP1.

RESUMO

Massive rotator cuff tears are a huge challenge for orthopaedic surgeons, as the patients may be in need of multiple operations, even including reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. The various repair methods for the rotator cuff, such as partial rotator cuff repair, patch-augmented rotator cuff repair, bridging rotator cuff reconstruction with graft interposition, tendon transfer, and superior capsular reconstruction, have always been the focus of research. During surgical intervention for failed rotator cuff repairs, complexity of tears, poor tissue quality, retained hardware, and adhesions are the problems routinely encountered. In this Technical Note, we describe the technique of interposition grafting using fascia lata autograft to reconstruct the rotator cuff after failed primary repair.

RESUMO

The purpose of this study was to reveal the current trends and preferences of Chinese orthopedic surgeons regarding anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction through a nationwide web-based survey conducted in China. The survey questionnaire was distributed via WeChat to the chairmen of provincial orthopedic and sports medicine organizing committees in China, who then shared it in their respective WeChat workgroups. The questionnaire consisted of 52 multiple-choice questions covering 8 sections. Data collection was implemented by Questionnaire Star. A total of 812 valid questionnaires were returned: 94.21% of the respondents preferred single-bundle reconstruction of ACL, while 61.70% preferred autogenous semitendinosus plus gracilis reconstruction; 76.35% of the respondents preferred establishing the femoral tunnel first, while 47.29% preferred establishing the femoral tunnel through a medial auxiliary approach; and 85.10% of the respondents recommended patients to undergo surgery within 3 months after ligament injury. Besides, the vast majority of respondents chose to retain the ligamentous remnant bundle (92.98%) and recommended routine use of knee braces postoperatively (94.09%). It is recommended to perform arthroscopic single-bundle ACL reconstruction with the remnant preserving technique using a hamstring autograft within 3 months of ACL rupture, with support of postoperative functional braces.

RESUMO

Arthroscopic repair of Bankart injury is the first choice for the treatment of anterior shoulder instability. How to avoid recurring shoulder joint dislocation is a challenge, especially when combined with Hill-Sachs lesions. The arthroscopy technology allows for broader vision and less surgical trauma but is limited by a smaller operating space. At present, extensive descriptions about the surgical procedure of arthroscopic Bankart repair have been published. In this Technical Note, we describe the use of remplissage filling with Hill-Sachs lesion combined with Bankart repair to further improve the surgical accuracy and clinical efficacy. In particular, the application of single needle-assisted outside-in remplissage technique and Bankart repair is introduced in detail.

RESUMO

Avascular necrosis of the femoral head with femoroacetabular impingement is a disabling disease. Without early treatment and intervention, its further development will even lead to hip osteoarthritis and hip dysfunction. This technical note aims to introduce a computer-assisted precise core decompression of the femoral head, followed by injection of platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate. Then, the autologous ipsilateral iliac bone is transplanted to the core decompression area. Thereafter, under hip arthroscopy, the injured glenoid lip of the hip joint is repaired, and the cam deformity of the femoral head/neck junction is polished and formed. The advantages of this technique include accurately locating the core decompression area, combined with autologous cells and bone transplantation, being able to delay the process of avascular necrosis of the femoral head, and evaluating articular cartilage injury, subchondral collapse, and guidance during reaming and curettage.

RESUMO

Karst wetland plays an important role in the ecological environment; however, due to the existence of karst pipeline, pollutants can threaten the underground environment through the highly developed karst pipeline. Therefore, understanding the pollution characteristics of the karst surface environment is the premise of pollution ecological risk assessment and prevention. In this study, 24 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) were analyzed to study the concentration, composition, source, and risk of OCPs in water and surface sediments in the Huixian Wetland of Guilin. The results showed that:the concentration of OCPs in water ranged from 3.17 ng·L-1 to 92.50 ng·L-1, and the concentration of OCPs in sediment ranged from 1.16 ng·g-1 to 219.52 ng·g-1, showing the main pollution characteristics of HCHs and DDTs. The concentration of OCPs in water was higher in the wet season than that in the dry season. The concentration of OCPs in sediments was higher in the dry season than that in the wet season. The isomer ratios revealed that OCPs in the study area were mainly derived from long-term degradation residues, and some sites had new input of lindane. Based on Monte Carlo simulation, the human health risk assessment of the study area showed that the 95% quantile carcinogenic risk of OCPs in water was greater than 1×10-6, with potential but acceptable health risk. The non-carcinogenic risk was lower than 1, which indicated that the level of OCPs residues in the water in the study area was not enough to cause non-carcinogenic risk to the human body.

RESUMO

An orange-pigmented, Gram-reaction-positive, non-spore-forming, halophilic, alkali-tolerant rod, designated strain halo-2(T), was isolated from sediment of Xiarinaoer soda lake, in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Strain halo-2(T) grew in a complex medium with 3-30 % (w/v) NaCl and at pH 5-10. The cell-wall peptidoglycan contained meso-diaminopimelic acid and the major respiratory isoprenoid quinone was MK-7. The predominant cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C(15 : 0) (43.6 %), anteiso-C(17 : 0) (14.8 %) and iso-C(15 : 0) (6.8 %) and the polar lipids consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol. The genomic DNA G+C content of the novel strain was 48.2 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain halo-2(T) was most closely related to Bacillus agaradhaerens DSM 8721(T) (93.9 % sequence similarity). However, strain halo-2(T) could be clearly differentiated from its closest phylogenetic relatives on the basis of several phenotypic, genotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics. Strain halo-2(T) therefore represents a novel species in a new genus for which the name Salisediminibacterium halotolerans gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of the type species is halo-2(T) (= CGMCC 1.7654(T) = NBRC 104935(T)).

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study Chinese medicine (CM) signs and symptoms of urethane-induced lung cancer in mice, and observe the effect of Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Taraxaci Herba on symptoms in mice and tumor progress. METHOD: The mice were intraperitoneally injected with urethane twice a week for consecutively five weeks to establish a lung cancer model. The changes in their appearance, body temperature and auricle microcirculation were observed in carcinogenic process. CM signs and symptoms of urethane-induced lung cancer in mice were evaluated with energy metabolism, erythrocytic ATP emzymatic activity and hemorrheological index. During the tumor model was induced, Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Taraxaci Herba were used to treat the mice and observe their effect on symptoms in mice and tumor progress. RESULT: During urethane was used to induce lung cancer, the mice had gradually become chill, lazy, hunched, with reduction in temperature, cyanosis in auricle and tail. Meanwhile, their energy metabolism and erythrocytic ATP enzymatic activity reduced, whereas their whole blood viscosity and erythrocytic aggregate index increased. Taraxaci Herba showed an effect on enhancing above symptoms and signs but had no effect on tumor progress. Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata showed an effect on reducing above symptoms and signs and preventing tumor progress. CONCLUSION: Mice with urethane-induced lung cancer show CM signs and symptoms of congealing cold with blood stasis. The treatment with Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata can alleviate symptoms and signs in mice and prevent tumor progress.

RESUMO

Subscapular tendon plays an important role in shoulder joint function. With the advance of magnetic resonance imaging technology and the popularization of arthroscopic shoulder surgery, subscapularis tears have been increasingly detected. However, reduction and fixation of subscapular tendon tears appears to be technically challenging. This study aims to describe an arthroscopic intra-articular X-shaped fixation technique: a procedure of subscapularis tendon repair performed with the aid of a suture passer using only a single anterior portal and a single suture anchor. By incorporating the advantages of a single anterior working portal for anchor placement and tear repair, this technique provides an easier way to use suture lasso and make knots in a limited working space, and the whole procedure is minimally invasive with a short learning curve. This technique has been applied in patients with subscapularis tears involving no intraoperative or postoperative complications. Our technology offers a valuable new treatment option for subscapularis tears.

RESUMO

As UV-light stabilizers, Bis(4-hydroxy)benzophenone (BBP), are extensively consumed to quench radicals from photooxidation, continuous release of BPs into the environment poses serious threats to the ecology in view of their xenohormone toxicities, and BBP shall be eliminated from water to avoid its adverse effect. Since sulfate radical (SR)-based chemical oxidation techniques have been proven as effective procedures for eliminating organic emerging contaminants, this study aims to develop useful SR-based procedures through activating Oxone for degrading BBP in water. In contrast to the conventional Co3O4, cobalt sulfide (CoS) is particularly proposed as an alternative heterogeneous catalyst for activating Oxone to degrade BBP because CoS exhibits more reactive redox characteristics. As structures of catalysts predominantly control their catalytic activities, in this study, a unique nanoplate-assembled CoS (NPCS) 3D cluster is fabricated via a convenient one-step process to serve as a promising heterogeneous catalyst for activating Oxone to degrade BBP. With NPCS = 100 mg/L and Oxone = 200 mg/L, 5 mg/L of BBP can be completely eliminated in 60 min. The catalytic activity of NPCS towards Oxone activation also significantly surpasses the reference material, Co3O4, to enhance degradation of BBP. Ea of BBP degradation by NPCS-activated Oxone is also determined as a relatively low value of 42.7 kJ/mol. The activation mechanism as well as degradation pathway of BBP degradation by NPCS-activated Oxone was investigated and validated through experimental evidences and density functional theory (DFT) calculation to offer valuable insights into degradation behaviors for developing SR-based processes of BBP degradation using CoS catalysts.

RESUMO

While cobalt (Co) stands out as the most effective non-precious metal for activating monopersulfate (MPS) to degrade organic pollutants, Co nanoparticles (NPs) are easily aggregated, losing their activities. As many efforts have attempted to immobilize Co NPs on supports/substrates to minimize the aggregation issue, recently hollow-structured carbon-based materials (HSCMs) have been regarded as promising supports owing to their distinct physical and chemical properties. Herein, in this study, a special HSCM is developed by using a special type of ZIF (i.e., ZIF-L) as a precursor. Through one-step chemical etching with tannic acid (TA), the resultant product still remains leaf-like morphology of pristine ZIF-L but the inner part of this product becomes hollow, which is subsequently transformed to ultrafine Co-NP embedded hollow-structured N-doped carbon (CoHNC) via pyrolysis. Interestingly, CoHNC exhibits superior catalytic activities than CoNC (without hollow structure) and the commercial Co3O4 NPs for activating MPS to degrade phenol. The Ea value of phenol degradation by CoHNC + MPS was determined as 44.3 kJ/mol. Besides, CoHNC is also capable of effectively activating MPS to degrade phenol over multiple-cycles without any significant changes of catalytic activities, indicating that CoHNC is a promising heterogeneous catalyst for activating MPS to degrade organic pollutants in water.

RESUMO

In order to investigate the pollution characteristics and sources of water-soluble ions in atmospheric PM2.5 in different regions of central China during summer, Wuhan, Suizhou, and Pingdingshan were selected as urban, suburban, and rural monitoring stations, respectively, to collect PM2.5 samples, and the mass concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere and the contents of eight water-soluble ions were analyzed. The results showed that ρ(water-soluble ions) at the three sites showed obvious spatial distribution characteristics, with Pingdingshan[(36.29±9.82) µg·m-3] > Wuhan[(32.55±10.05) µg·m-3] > Suizhou[(26.10±6.23) µg·m-3], accounting for 52.47%, 51.32%, and 48.61% of the PM2.5 mass concentration, respectively. In the Pingdingshan station, the proportion of water-soluble ions was the largest due to biomass combustion in the rural area. Additionally, SNA (SO42-, NO3-, and NH4+) were the main ionic components, accounting for 95.65%, 96.12%, and 97.33% of the total water-soluble ions, respectively. The mean values of SOR of the Wuhan (0.64) and Suizhou (0.63) stations were higher than that of the Pingdingshan station (0.50), whereas the NOR values of the Wuhan (0.18) and Pingdingshan (0.19) stations were higher than that of the Suizhou station (0.15). The difference in SOR and NOR among stations was affected by the secondary conversion mechanism, the ammonia-rich environment, and the surrounding traffic sources, respectively. The PM2.5 at the Wuhan and Pingdingshan stations was in general alkaline, whereas at the Suizhou station it was neutral or weakly acidic, which was mainly caused by differences in NH4+. NH4+ mainly existed in the form of (NH4)2SO4 and NH4NO3 at the Wuhan and Pingdingshan stations, whereas at the Suizhou station it mainly existed in the form of (NH4)2SO4 or (NH4)HSO4. PCA-MLR analysis revealed that the Wuhan (89.27%) and Suizhou (67.38%) stations were the most affected by secondary conversion sources, whereas the Wuhan station was also affected by industrial sources (8.54%) and coal sources (2.27%). The pollution sources of the Suizhou station also included biomass combustion (24.42%) and dust sources (8.25%). The Pingdingshan station was most affected by biomass combustion (58.37%), followed by dust and combustion sources (38.05%) and traffic sources (3.58%). The analysis of potential sources of SNA (PSCF) showed that the main potential source areas of Wuhan were the boundary of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui and the southwest area of Anhui. Suizhou and Pingdingshan were affected by long-distance transport, and the main potential source regions were distributed in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui provinces from the east coast to the west.

RESUMO

The increase in proliferation and the lack of differentiation of cancer cells resemble what occur in the embryonic stem cells during physiological process of embryogenesis. There are also striking similarities in the behaviour between the invasive placental cells and invasive cancer cells. In the present study, microarrays were used to analyse the global expression of microRNAs in a human embryonic stem cell line (i.e. HUES-17) and four colorectal cancer (CRC) cell lines (i.e. LoVo, SW480, HT29 and Caco-2) with different metastatic potentialities. Only the expression of miR-26b was significant decreased in HUES-17s and LoVo cells, compared with other three cell lines (P < 0.01). The quantitative real-time PCR analysis confirmed the results of the microarray analysis. Overexpression of miR-26b expression by miR-26 mimics transfection and led to the significant suppression of the cell growth and the induction of apoptosis in LoVo cells in vitro, and the inhibition of tumour growth in vivo. Moreover, the potential targets of miR-26b was predicted by using bioinformatics, and then the predicted target genes were further validated by comparing gene expression profiles between LoVo and NCM460 cell lines. Four genes (TAF12, PTP4A1, CHFR and ALS2CR2) with intersection were found to be the targets of miR-26b. MetaCore network analysis further showed that the regulatory pathways of miR-26b were significantly associated with the invasiveness and metastasis of CRC cells. These data suggest that miR-26b might serve as a novel prognostic factor and a potential therapeutic target for CRC.

RESUMO

To explore the pollution characteristics and potential health risks of heavy metals in PM2.5 on haze days in Central China, PM2.5 samples were collected from the Huanggang monitoring station, a regional observation point in Central China, between January 13 and 24, 2018. The contents of Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Sn, and Pb in PM2.5 were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS), and the enrichment factor method was used to determine the potential risk based on the exposure model recommended by the Environmental Protection Administration(EPA). The results showed that during the observation period, the concentrations of Zn in PM2.5 were highest, and the concentrations of the carcinogens As and Cd were higher than the secondary standard limits of China's ambient air quality standard(GB 3095-2012), with 70% of these elemental concentrations accounting for the largest proportion in the middle haze period. The enrichment factor analysis showed that Cd, Sn, Co, Pb, and Zn were the most abundant elements, especially during the middle haze period, and were mostly derived from transportation and coal combustion. The results of the human health risk assessment showed that exposure via hand-mouth feeding was the main non-carcinogenic risk, and the exposure and non-carcinogenic risks of children were significantly higher than those of adults. Pb poses a non-carcinogenic risk to children, while heavy metals in PM2.5 pose no non-carcinogenic risks to adults and carcinogenic heavy metals pose no carcinogenic risks.

RESUMO

In recent years, frequent haze episodes have resulted in the deterioration of air quality of the Fenwei Plain during winter and holidays. Besides coal combustion and industrial emissions, the topography and climate of the Fenwei Plain were also the main causes of the haze. The samples were collected in Linfen of Fenwei Plain during the Spring Festival from February 2 to February 13, 2019. The 13 elements(Li, Be, Ti, Rb, Sc, Y, La, Ce, Zr, V, Tl, U, and Sn) in PM2.5 were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). Combined with the meteorological data, the spatial and temporal distribution of pollutants and potential source analysis were evaluated by cluster analysis and backward trajectory. The average concentration of SO2 was 58.39 µg·m-3 during the sampling period, which exceeded the 24 h average mass concentration limit(50.00 µg·m-3) of national ambient air quality standard(GB 3095-2012). The average concentrations of O3, NO2, and CO was 52.15 µg·m-3, 29.02 µg·m-3, and 2.29 mg·m-3, respectively. The results showed that SO2 was the dominated pollutant. NO2 and CO were mainly affected by diffusion from urban areas. The backward trajectory analysis indicated that the basin topography of the Fenwei Plain may be the main cause of the haze. The analysis of potential source contribution function(PSCF) of soil sources showed that the potential dominated areas included Northern Shaanxi, southern Gansu and Southern Ningxia., which were mainly affected by the monsoon climate.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical results of the remnant-preserving and I.D.E.A.L. femoral tunnel technique in the arthroscopic treatment of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. METHODS: This was a retrospective single-center, single-surgeon study reviewing data from November 2016 to March 2019. Based on our inclusion/exclusion criteria, a total of 31 patients (18 males, 13 females; mean age, 23.6 years) who underwent arthroscopic ACL reconstruction with the remnant preservation and I.D.E.A.L. femoral tunnel technique were recruited and had a minimum follow-up of 12 months. Clinical data and status of knee stability were recorded. The International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score, Lysholm score, and Tegner activity scale were collected both preoperatively and at a minimum of 1-year follow-up. RESULTS: Statistically significant differences were detected between the preoperative and postoperative values for Lachman test and pivot-shift test (P < 0.01). The mean postoperative Lysholm score was 89.6 ± 9.4, whereas the mean preoperative Lysholm score was 47.3 ± 12.8 (P < 0.01). The mean Tegner activity score was significantly higher at postoperative evaluation than at preoperative evaluation (6.5 ± 2.1 vs 2.6 ± 1.8; P < 0.01). The mean IKDC score was significantly improved from 49.5 ± 10.6 preoperatively to 88.2 ± 10.7 postoperatively (P < 0.01). No case of infection was reported. No radiograph showed any joint space narrowing or degenerative change at the last postsurgical follow-up. CONCLUSION: The anatomical remnant-preserving and I.D.E.A.L. femoral tunnel technique achieves a satisfactory clinical outcome and provides an effective option for the treatment of ACL injuries.
