RESUMO

The stability of beam pointing in a laser system depends on the consistency of the optical mirror mount. Typically, a locking mechanism is used to secure the adjustment mechanism after beam alignment, ensuring the mount's stability. However, this process can introduce errors, causing a drift in the optical path. To mitigate this issue, in this study, an interference fit adjustment screw was designed. This development enables the mechanism to self-lock after beam alignment, thereby preventing optical path drift and enhancing overall stability. Specifically, 14 long-term thermal shock stability tests, each lasting 2500 min, were conducted to validate the proposed design. The experimental results showed that the thermal drift of the interference fit adjustment screw was reduced by 47.16%, thermal shift was reduced by 79.59%, and the long-term stability improved by at least 48.67%.

RESUMO

Cistanche deserticola residues are by-products of the industrial production of Cistanche deserticola, which are currently often discarded, resulting in the waste of resources. In order to achieve the efficient utilization of Cistanche deserticola, dietary fiber from Cistanche deserticola residues was extracted chemically and the optimization of the extraction conditions was performed, using the response surface methodology to study the effects of the NaOH concentration, extraction temperature, extraction time, and solid-liquid ratio on the yield of water-soluble dietary fiber (SDF). The structural, physicochemical, and functional properties of the dietary fiber were also investigated. The results showed that the optimal conditions were as follows: NaOH concentration of 3.7%, extraction temperature of 71.7 °C, extraction time of 89.5 min, and solid-liquid ratio of 1:34. The average yield of SDF was 19.56%, which was close to the predicted value of 19.66%. The two dietary fiber types had typical polysaccharide absorption peaks and typical type I cellulose crystal structures, and the surface microstructures of the two dietary fiber types were different, with the surface of SDF being looser and more porous. Both dietary fiber types had good functional properties, with SDF having the strongest water-holding capacity and the strongest adsorption capacity for nitrite, cholesterol, sodium cholate, and glucose, while IDF had a better oil-holding capacity. These results suggest that Cistanche deserticola residues are a good source of dietary fiber and have promising applications in the functional food processing industry.

RESUMO

In order to improve vehicle driving safety in a low-cost manner, we used a monocular camera to study a lane-changing warning algorithm for highway vehicles based on deep learning image processing technology. We improved the mask region-based convolutional neural network for vehicle target detection. Suitable anchor frame ratios were obtained by means of K-means++ method clustering for 66,389 vehicle targets with the width/height ratio, which is one more set of anchor frames than the original setting, so as to ensure that the generation accuracy of candidate frames can be improved without sacrificing more network performance. Using the vehicle target annotation set, we trained the vehicle targets. Through the analysis of indicators for mean average precision, a new set of anchor frames was added to improve the accuracy of vehicle target detection. Based on the improved vehicle detection network and an end-to-end lane detection network in series, we proposed an algorithm for the detection of highway vehicle lane-changing behavior with the first-person perspective by summing the inter-frame change rates in the vehicle lane-changing data pool. After the identification and verification of the marked lane-changing picture sequences, a lane-changing detection accuracy rate of 94.5% was achieved.

RESUMO

We present a novel method utilizing the χ(2) nonlinear optical technology, which can realize high precision measurement of linear electro-optic (EO) coefficients of nonlinear materials. By applying the linear EO effect to the nonlinear optical process, the theoretical model of this measurement method was established, and the calculation formula of the linear EO coefficient was given. In the proof-of-principle experiment, by introducing an external electric field into the fourth harmonic generation (FHG) process, we comprehensively obtained the linear EO coefficients of K(H1-xDx)2PO4 crystals and revealed the relationship between deuterium content (x) and EO coefficient (γ63): γ63 = -9.789 - 16.53x. Meanwhile, the stability of FHG was greatly improved, and the angular range of efficiency stability was increased to 4.4 times in maximum. This work not only systematically demonstrates the FHG characteristics of KDP-family crystals, which provides a good reference for the deep ultraviolet laser generation, but also offers a new way to measure the basic parameters of nonlinear optical materials.

RESUMO

The effect of biaxial tensile strain on the thermal transport properties of MoS(2) is investigated by combining first-principles calculations and the Boltzmann transport equation. The thermal conductivities of single layer MoS(2) are found to be heavily suppressed by the applied strains; even a moderate biaxial tensile strain, 2 ∼ 4%, could result in a 10 ∼ 20% reduction in the thermal conductivity. Most interestingly, the reduction rate of thermal conductivity is size dependent, which is due to different dominant phonon scattering mechanisms at different sizes of MoS(2) samples. The sensitive strain dependence of thermal conductivity indicates that strain engineering could be an effective method to enhance the figure of merit for thermoelectric applications of MoS(2).

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The effects of ABO incompatibility on cord blood transplantation (CBT) have not been confirmed. We retrospectively investigated the effect of ABO incompatibility on the clinical outcomes and changes of isoagglutinin titres of 261 consecutive patients who underwent CBT in a single centre. MATERIAL AND METHODS: We studied patients with haematological malignancies undergoing unrelated CBT following myeloablative conditioning. There were 80 matched, 72 major mismatched, 72 minor mismatched, and 37 bidirectional mismatched transplants. Risk factors that could potentially influence the patients' outcomes were evaluated. Immunoglobulin M (IgM) isohaemagglutinin antibody (IHA) titres were determined 1 day before and 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after the transplant. RESULTS: ABO mismatches did not influence engraftment, transfusion requirements, event-free survival or overall survival following CBT. The anti-donor IgM serum IHA titres fell to ≤1:8 at week 8 after CBT in all patients with ABO major and bidirectional mismatches. The percentages of patients requiring platelet and red blood cell transfusions in the period 31-61 days after CBT were markedly lower than in the period 0-30 days after CBT, being 15 vs 99% for platelets and 23 vs 78% for red blood cells, respectively. Of the 69 recipients of minor mismatched CBT tested, only three with AB blood type developed low titres of anti-recipient IHA after 5 months. DISCUSSION: In this study ABO incompatibility did not affect clinical outcomes after CBT. A higher number of CD34+ cells infused was correlated with earlier engraftment. Severe acute graft-versus-host disease was associated with poor overall survival. As the IHA titre decreased, so did the number of patients requiring blood transfusion. Rapidly decreasing anti-donor IHA titres and the non-production of donor anti-recipient A and/or B antibodies might contribute to a good outcome of ABO-incompatible CBT with myeloablative conditioning for haematological malignancies.

RESUMO

Faster- and slower-relaxing versions of the title Mn12 compound have been obtained in pure forms that crystallize in the same space group and differ only in the identity of one lattice solvent molecule; solvent loss causes isomerization from the faster- to the slower-relaxing form.

RESUMO

The syntheses and properties of tetra- and pentanuclear vanadium(IV,V) carboxylate complexes are reported. Reaction of (NBzEt(3))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1a) with NaO(2)CPh and atmospheric H(2)O/O(2) in MeCN leads to formation of (NBzEt(3))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] 4a; a similar reaction employing (NEt(4))(2)[VOCl(4)] (1b) gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Cl(O(2)CPh)(4)] (4b). Complex 4a.MeCN crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -148 degrees C: a = 13.863(13) Å, b = 34.009(43) Å, c = 12.773(11) Å, and Z = 4. The reaction between (NEt(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2a) and NaO(2)CPh under similar conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6a), and the use of (PPh(4))(2)[VOBr(4)] (2b) likewise gives (PPh(4))(2)[V(5)O(9)Br(O(2)CPh)(4)] (6b). Complex 6b crystallizes in space group P2(1)2(1)2(1) with the following unit cell dimensions at -139 degrees C: a = 18.638(3) Å, b = 23.557(4) Å, c = 12.731(2) Å, and Z = 4. The anions of 4a and 6b consist of a V(5) square pyramid with each vertical face bridged by a &mgr;(3)-O(2)(-) ion, the basal face bridged by a &mgr;(4)-X(-) (X = Cl, Br) ion, and a terminal, multiply-bonded O(2)(-) ion on each metal. The RCO(2)(-) groups bridge each basal edge to give C(4)(v)() virtual symmetry. The apical and basal metals are V(V) and V(IV), respectively (i.e., the anions are trapped-valence). The reaction of 1b with AgNO(3) and Na(tca) (tca = thiophene-2-carboxylate) in MeCN under anaerobic conditions gives (NEt(4))(2)[V(4)O(8)(NO(3))(tca)(4)] (7). Complex 7.H(2)O crystallizes in space group C2/c with the following unit cell dimensions at -170 degrees C: a = 23.606(4) Å, b = 15.211(3) Å, c = 23.999(5) Å, and Z = 4. The anion of 7 is similar to those of 4a and 6b except that the apical [VO] unit is absent, leaving a V(4) square unit, and the &mgr;(4)-X(-) ion is replaced with a &mgr;(4),eta(1)-NO(3)(-) ion. The four metal centers are now at the V(IV), 3V(V) oxidation level, but the structure indicates four equivalent V centers, suggesting an electronically delocalized system. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data were collected on powdered samples of 4b, 6a, and 7 in the 2.00-300 K range in a 10 kG applied field. 4b and 6a both show a slow increase in effective magnetic moment (&mgr;(eff)) from approximately 3.6-3.7 &mgr;(B) at 320 K to approximately 4.5-4.6 &mgr;(B) at 11.0 K and then a slight decrease to approximately 4.2 &mgr;(B) at 2.00 K. The data were fit to the theoretical expression for a V(IV)(4) square with two exchange parameters J = J(cis)() and J' = J(trans)() (H = -2JS(i)()S(j)()): fitting of the data gave, in the format 4b/6a, J= +39.7/+46.4 cm(-)(1), J' = -11.1/-18.2 cm(-)(1) and g = 1.83/1.90, with the complexes possessing S(T) = 2 ground states. The latter were confirmed by magnetization vs field studies in the 2.00-30.0 K and 0.500-50.0 kG ranges: fitting of the data gave S(T) = 2 and D = 0.00 cm(-)(1) for both complexes, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. Complex 7 shows a nearly temperature-independent &mgr;(eff) (1.6-2.0 &mgr;(B)) consistent with a single d electron per V(4) unit. The (1)H NMR spectra of 4b and 6a in CD(3)CN are consistent with retention of their pentanuclear structure on dissolution. The EPR spectrum of 7 in a toluene/MeCN (1:2) solution at approximately 25 degrees C yields an isotropic signal with a 29-line hyperfine pattern assignable to hyperfine interactions with four equivalent I = (7)/(2) (51)V nuclei.

RESUMO

Two new molecular magnets, the dodecanuclear manganese complexes of the type [Mn12 O12 (O2 CR)16 (H2 O)4 ] (known for R = CH3 , new for R = o-ClC6 H4 , o-BrC6 H4 ) have contributed to a better quantum mechanical understanding of single-molecule magnets. For instance, appreciable differences in the steps seen in the magnetization hysteresis loops of these high-spin clusters are attributed to changes in the rates of magnetization tunneling from one complex to another.
