O negro continua a ser um ator social que protagoniza as mais significativas e drásticas experiências sociais da formação social brasileira. E do mesmo modo, continua a ser uma inquietante indagação a mover o espaço do debate e a indicar promissores e desafiantes rumos à agenda de pesquisa das Ciências Sociais sobre as taquigrafias do Brasil como sentido de inovação, mudança e permanência do embate entre o mito da democracia racial de Gilberto Freyre (1933) e a falácia do mito em Florestan Fernandes (1964). O exercício dessa reflexão moverá esforços em a) observar a trajetória da agenda de pesquisa da questão étnica negra na circulação e renovação das ideias sobre o Brasil na intelectualidade brasileira em avanços, dilemas, retrocessos entre o mito da democracia racial à falácia do mito; b)atualizações e reatualizações do tema o negro, a invisibilidade social e as novas modalidades e riscos da exclusão.(AU)
