RESUMO

Although previous studies have reported correlations between alpha oscillations and the "retention" subprocess of working memory (WM), causal evidence has been limited in human neuroscience due to the lack of delicate modulation of human brain oscillations. Conventional transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) is not suitable for demonstrating the causal evidence for parietal alpha oscillations in WM retention because of its inability to modulate brain oscillations within a short period (i.e., the retention subprocess). Here, we developed an online phase-corrected tACS system capable of precisely correcting for the phase differences between tACS and concurrent endogenous oscillations. This system permits the modulation of brain oscillations at the target stimulation frequency within a short stimulation period and is here applied to empirically demonstrate that parietal alpha oscillations causally relate to WM retention. Our experimental design included both in-phase and anti-phase alpha-tACS applied to participants during the retention subprocess of a modified Sternberg paradigm. Compared to in-phase alpha-tACS, anti-phase alpha-tACS decreased both WM performance and alpha activity. These findings strongly support a causal link between alpha oscillations and WM retention and illustrate the broad application prospects of phase-corrected tACS.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To evaluate the anterior segment structures using ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) in primary congenital glaucoma (PCG) and explore their correlation with disease severity and surgical outcomes. METHODS: Clinical information of PCG patients who underwent UBM prior to their first glaucoma surgeries from September 2014 to March 2021 were reviewed. The study included 214 UBM images of 154 PCG eyes and 60 fellow unaffected eyes. Anterior segment characteristics were analyzed. UBM parameters, including the iris thickness (IT) at variant distances from the pupil edge and iris root, anterior chamber depth (ACD), and pupil diameter (PD), were compared between two groups and their relationship with clinical factors and surgical outcomes were analyzed in PCG eyes. RESULTS: PCG eyes had unclear scleral spur, thin iris, wide anterior chamber angle, deep anterior chamber, rarefied ciliary body, elongated ciliary processes, and abnormal anterior iris insertion. ITs were thinner, ACD was deeper, and PD was larger in PCG eyes than fellow unaffected eyes (all P < 0.001). In PCG eyes, thinner ITs correlated with bilateral involvement and earlier age at presentation, and larger PD correlated with earlier age at presentation (P = 0.030) and higher intraocular pressure (P < 0.001). Thinner IT2 (P = 0.046) and larger PD (P = 0.049) were identified as risk factors for surgical failure. CONCLUSION: UBM is a powerful technique to exam anterior segment structures in PCG. The anatomical features are associated with disease severity and surgical outcomes, providing essential clinical insights.

RESUMO

Black soils, which play an important role in agricultural production and food security, are well known for their relatively high content of soil organic matter (SOM). SOM has a significant impact on the sustainability of farmland and provides nutrients for plants. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) in the visible and near-infrared region has shown the potential to detect soil nutrient levels in the laboratory. However, using portable spectrometers directly in the field remains challenging due to variations in soil moisture (SM). The current study used spectral data captured by a handheld spectrometer outdoors to predict SOM, available nitrogen (AN), available phosphorus (AP) and available potassium (AK) with different SM levels. Partial least squares regression (PLSR) models were established to compare the predictive performance of air-dried soil samples with SMs around 20%, 30% and 40%. The results showed that the model established using dry sample data had the best performance (RMSE = 4.47 g/kg) for the prediction of SOM, followed by AN (RMSE = 20.92 mg/kg) and AK (RMSE = 22.67 mg/kg). The AP was better predicted by the model based on 30% SM (RMSE = 8.04 mg/kg). In general, model performance deteriorated with an increase in SM, except for the case of AP. Feature wavelengths for predicting four kinds of soil properties were recommended based on variable importance in the projection (VIP), which offered useful guidance for the development of portable hyperspectral sensors based on discrete wavebands to reduce cost and save time for on-site data collection.

RESUMO

The Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region plays a crucial role in achieving China's carbon peaking goal. However, due to uncertainties surrounding future economic growth, energy consumption, energy structure, and population, the attainment of carbon peaking in this region remains uncertain. To address this issue, this study utilized the generalized Divisia index method to analyze the driving factors of carbon emissions, including economy, energy, investment, and population. Subsequently, Monte Carlo simulations were combined with scenario analysis to dynamically explore the peak path of regional heterogeneity in the YRD from 2022 to 2035 under uncertain conditions. The findings highlighted that economic uncertainty has the most significant impact on carbon emissions. Furthermore, reducing energy intensity and promoting the transformation of the energy consumption structure contribute to carbon reduction. The study also revealed that the carbon peak in the YRD exhibits regional heterogeneity. According to the baseline scenario, carbon emissions in the YRD will not peak before 2035. However, under the low-carbon development scenario, the carbon emissions of Zhejiang and Shanghai will peak before 2030. Moreover, under the enhanced emission reduction (EE) scenario, carbon emissions in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai will peak before 2025, while Anhui will reach its peak before 2030. Collectively, the entire YRD region is forecasted to attain a carbon emissions peak of 2.29 billion tons by 2025 under the EE scenario. This study provides valuable insights into the carbon emission trajectories of the YRD region under uncertain conditions. The findings can be instrumental in formulating carbon peaking policies that account for regional heterogeneity.

RESUMO

China proposed establishing a carbon emission trading market in its 12th Five-Year Plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through market mechanisms, promote the development of science and technology and help China become an environment-friendly country. To examine the impact of carbon emission trading on green technology innovation in Chinese energy enterprises, data from 1993 to 2020 were collected from 494 A-share-listed energy enterprises. Enterprises located in the pilot area of carbon emissions trading were assigned to the treatment group, while those in the non-pilot area were assigned to the control group. The propensity-score-matching method was utilized to match the treatment group with the control group, and the resulting samples were used as the actual sample data. The difference-in-differences method was then employed to assess the net impact of carbon emission trading and investigate its effect on green technology innovation in energy enterprises. This empirical study suggested that carbon emission trading has a positive impact on green technology innovation in energy enterprises, particularly state-owned ones. Larger enterprises are more willing to engage in green technological innovation than small enterprises. Furthermore, when faced with a carbon emission trading system, 'mature' companies tend to pay more attention to green technology innovation than younger enterprises do. This study puts forward policy measures for establishing a national-level carbon emission market in China in the future.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: This study aimed to measure the Raman spectrum of the human corneal stroma lens obtained from small incision lenticule extraction surgery (SMILE) in Asian myopic eyes using a confocal Raman micro-spectrometer built in the laboratory. METHODS: Forty-three myopic patients who underwent SMILE with equivalent diopters between - 4.00 and - 6.00 D were selected, and the right eye data were collected. Corneal stroma lenses were obtained during surgery, and the Raman spectra were measured after air drying. The complete Raman spectrum of human myopic corneal stroma lens tissue was obtained within the range of 700-4000 cm-1. RESULTS: Thirteen characteristic peaks were found, with the stronger peaks appearing at 937 cm-1, corresponding to proline, valine, and the protein skeleton of the human myopic corneal stroma lens; 1243 cm-1, corresponding to collagen protein; 1448 cm-1, corresponding to the collagen protein and phospholipids; and 2940 cm-1, corresponding to the amino acid and lipids, which was the strongest Raman peak. CONCLUSION: These results demonstrated that Raman spectroscopy has much potential as a fast, cost-effective, and reliable diagnostic tool in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including myopia, keratoconus, and corneal infection.

RESUMO

Binary metal nickel-iron alloys have been proven to have great potential in oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysis, but there are still certain challenges in how to construct more efficient nickel-iron alloy electrocatalysts and maximize their own advantages. In this work, a heterometallic nickel-iron cluster (L = C64 H66 Fe4 N8 Ni2 O19 ) of Schiff base (LH3  = 2-amino-1,3-propanediol salicylaldehyde) is designed as a precursor to explore its behavior in the pyrolysis process under inert atmosphere. The combination of TG-MS, morphology, and X-ray characterization techniques shows that the Schiff base ligands in the heterometallic clusters produces a strong reductive atmosphere during pyrolysis, which enable the two 3d metals Ni and Fe to form NiFe alloys. Moreover, Fe2 O3 /Fe0.64 Ni0.36 @Cs carbon nanomaterials are formed, in which Fe2 O3 /Fe0.64 Ni0.36 is the potential active material for OER. It is also found that the centrosymmetric structure of the heterometallic Schiff base precursor is potentially related to the formation of the Fe2 O3 /Fe0.64 Ni0.36 alloy@carbon structures. The Fe2 O3 /Fe0.64 Ni0.36 @C-800 provides 274 mV overpotential in 1 m KOH solution at 10 mA cm-2 in OER. This work provides an effective basis for further research on Schiff base bimetallic doping-derived carbon nanomaterials as excellent OER electrocatalysts.

RESUMO

In this research, a thermally activated upconversion luminescence (UCL) probe with ratiometric temperature sensing under 1064 nm and 808 nm excitation was designed. Especially, Nd3+, Tm3+and Ce3+were doped in rare earth nanoparticles (RENPs) as UCL modulators. By optimizing the elements and ratios, the excitation wavelength is successfully modulated to 1064 nm excitation with UCL intensity enhanced. Additionally, the prepared RENPs have a significant temperature response at 1064 nm excitation and can be used for thermochromic coatings. The intensity ratio of three-photon UCL (1064 nm excitation) to two-photon UCL (808 nm excitation) as an exponential function of temperature can be used as a ratiometric temperature detector. Therefore, this designed thermochromic coatings may enable new applications in optoelectronic device and industrial sensor.

RESUMO

Photocatalytic water splitting is forecasted as a promising strategy for H2 production. In this work, novel zinc oxide/zinc sulfide (ZnOS-x) (x = 1, 2, 3 and 4) heterostructures were fabricated by a collaborative hydrothermal and calcination method with different amounts of trithiocyanuric acid. The formation of ZnOS-x heterostructures was confirmed by PXRD, XPS, and HRTEM. Moreover, ZnOS-3 nanoparticles exhibited homogeneous and smooth surface morphology structure. ZnOS-3 displayed efficient charge separation and transfer efficiency upon photoinduction. ZnOS-3 showed the highest average H2 evolution reaction rate (78.87 µmol h-1) under visible-light irradiation, which increased with increase in the ratio of trithiocyanuric acid in the ZnOS-x series. This work provides a new insight to prepare uniformly integrated heterostructures of metal oxides/sulfides for visible-light-driven H2 generation.

RESUMO

Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the most widely used chemical products, which is discharged into rivers and oceans, posing great hazards to organisms such as reproductive toxicity, hormone imbalance and cardiopathy induction. With the expansion harm of BPA, people have paid more attention to the environmental effects. In this paper, the degradation of BPA from the synthetic wastewater using the immobilization of horseradish peroxidase membrane reactor (HPR) was investigated. The immobilized HRP microporous membrane was prepared by the porous calcium alginate method. In addition, the reuse of the immobilized HPR membrane and the measurement of membrane flux showed that the membrane has good activity and stability. Finally, the experimental parameters including reaction time, pH, the concentration of BPA and the dosage of H2O2 were optimized to remove the BPA, and about 78% degradation efficiency of BPA was achieved at the optimal condition as follows: H2O2 to BPA molar ratio of 1.50 with an initial BPA concentration of 0.1 mol/L, the HPR dosage of 3.84 u/mL, the initial solution pH of 7.0, a temperature of 20 °C and a contact time of 10 min.

RESUMO

Compound-eye wide field-of-view (FOV) imaging generally faces the disadvantages of a complex system, low resolution, and complicated image mosaic. Single-pixel imaging has proven to very beneficial in building a high-resolution and simple wide-FOV camera, but its ability to overcome the problem of image mosaics still needs to be demonstrated. In this Letter, we propose a novel, to the best of our knowledge, kind of artificial compound eye based on multidirectional photodetectors (PDs) and demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that mosaics are unnecessary in multidirectional PD-based single-pixel imaging. In addition, we show experimentally that only nine multidirectional PDs are needed to obtain wide-angle images in a hemisphere to realize wide-FOV mosaic-free imaging. This work greatly simplifies the concept of compound-eye cameras and is very enlightening for detector design in wide-FOV single-pixel imaging, plausibly leading to the development of single-pixel endoscopic imaging.

RESUMO

Accurate identification and quantification of microvascular patterns are important for clinical diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring using optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (OR-PAM). Due to its limited depth of field, conventional OR-PAM may not fully reveal microvascular patterns with enough details in depth range, which affects the segmentation and quantification. Here, we propose a robust vascular quantification approach via combining multi-focus image fusion with enhancement filtering (MIFEF). The multi-focus image fusion is constructed based on multi-scale gradients and image matting to improve image fusion quality by considerably achieving accurate focus measurement for initial segmentation as well as decision map refinement. The enhancement filtering identifies the vessels and handles noise without deforming microvasculature. The performance of the MIFEF were evaluated employing a leaf phantom, mouse livers and brains. The proposed method for OR-PAM can significantly facilitate the clinical provision of optical biopsy of vascular-related diseases.

RESUMO

In this work, the polydopamine (PDA)-mediated antibacterial system is synthesized to carry out antimicrobial activities in vitro and in vivo. First, to precisely control the surface modification of nanodiamonds (NDs), a mathematical kinetics model of PDA deposition is established, and the conditions of synthesis reaction are discussed including influencing factors such as the concentrations of dopamine, reaction time, and the kinetic constant k1, which is a function of several variables associated with the reaction temperature, light irradiance (especially at ultraviolet wavelengths), pH value and concentration of dissolved O2 in the solution. A simulated visualization demonstrates that the deposition thickness of PDA is positively correlated with temperature and light irradiance, and PDA is easier to deposit in an alkaline solution and will be terminated if the dissolved O2 is insufficient. Then, the precisely controlled thickness of PDA can control the growth of AgNPs, rendering the intensity of Raman peaks increased and providing a predictable antibacterial effect against E. coli in vitro. An optimized antibacterial hydrogel containing NDs-PDA/Ag is prepared and characterized by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy. Finally, the antibacterial experiments to promote wound healing in vivo are performed, which are verified by pathological and immunohistochemical-stained sections. This work provides a theoretical basis of predicting the PDA-assisted surface modification of NDs, giving a divinable antibacterial effect, and promoting wounds healing in vivo.

RESUMO

Salidroside (Sal), the major active constituent of Rhodiola rosea L., is considered as a potential pro-drug with various activities; however, its role in tumor therapy is not clear. Here, we demonstrated in vitro and in vivo that Sal enhanced the inhibitory activity of doxorubicin (DOX) in drug-resistant cancer cell lines. Our results showed that combination drug treatment (Sal and DOX) significantly decreased cell proliferation, migration, and motility. Besides biological validation, a luciferase-labeled animal tumor xenograft model and bioluminescence imaging (BLI) were applied for assessing the tumor progression. Sal combined with DOX inhibited the growth of HeLa-ADR-luc cells in vivo and downregulated the DOX-induced high expression of MDR1. Also, Sal downregulated the Bcl-2, MMP-2, MMP-9, PI3K, and AKT and upregulated BAX proteins. Sal demonstrated high safety and cardiac protection activity. We discovered that Sal enhances DOX sensitivity through the regulation of PI3K/Akt/HIF-1α and DOX-induced resistance pathways. Our results suggest that Sal could be a novel chemosensitization agent for the treatment of multi-drug-resistance tumors.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: To compare the efficacy and safety of gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy (GATT) and Kahook Dual Blade (KDB) excisional goniotomy in patients with uncontrolled juvenile open-angle glaucoma (JOAG). METHODS: Thirty-three patients (46 eyes) were included in this single-center, retrospective, comparative study and treated with GATT (36 eyes) or KDB goniotomy (13 eyes). Intraocular pressure (IOP), number of glaucoma medications, adverse events, and additional anti-glaucoma procedures were collected during pre- and postoperative visits. Surgical success was defined as 6 mmHg ≤ IOP ≤ 18 mmHg and ≥ 20% IOP reduction from baseline with (partial success) or without (complete success) IOP-lowering medications. RESULTS: The mean ± SD preoperative IOP was 30.48 ± 12.9 mmHg and 26.08 ± 13.1 mmHg (P = 0.164) on 3.71 ± 0.46 and 3.08 ± 0.86 (P = 0.023) glaucoma medications in GATT and KDB group, respectively. At 3 months, the mean ± SD IOP was 15.48 ± 5.93 mmHg and 20.0 ± 10.8 mmHg after GATT and KDB, respectively (P = 0.072). The percentage of IOP lowering from baseline was 44.4 in the GATT group and 14.1 in the KDB group (P = 0.011). The mean reduction in medications was 2.6 ± 1.7 and 0.8 ± 1.2 three months after GATT and KDB, respectively (P < 0.001). Cumulative proportion of partial and complete success were 65.6 and 44.7% in the GATT group, 30.8 and 15.4% in the KDB group at 6 months. Additional procedures were required in 13.9% of cases after GATT and in 61.5% after KDB (P = 0.001). Patients in the GATT group with prior anti-glaucoma procedures and postoperative IOP spikes were more likely to fail, while those with complete trabeculotomy had a better prognosis. CONCLUSIONS: Reduction of IOP and medications were greater after GATT in uncontrolled JOAG eyes. Whereas, more additional IOP-lowering procedures were required after KDB goniotomy. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This study was registered under the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ( ChiCTR2000034172 , 27/06/2020).

RESUMO

Lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) is the most effective treatment of glaucoma, however most of the current available glaucoma drugs target a single molecule. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are noncoding RNAs that target a network of molecules. This study aims to investigate the role of miR-21-5p in regulating IOP and the mechanism of function. miR-21-5p mimics was topically applied to C57/BL6 mouse eyes, which significantly increased miR-21-5p expression in the conventional outflow tissue and reduced IOP by a maximum of 17.77% at 24 h after treatment. The conventional outflow facility measured by ex vivo moue eye perfusion of miR-21-5p was significantly increased by 60.14%. Moreover, miR-21-5p overexpression significantly reduced the transendothelial electrical resistance in porcine angular aqueous plexus cells. Transcriptome analysis and further quantification by Western blot and PCR revealed that SMAD7 and FGF18 might be the downstream target of miR-21-5p in regulating aqueous humor outflow. The predicted functional pathways PTEN/eNOS, RhoB/pMLC and TIMP3/MMP9 were significantly altered after miR-21-5p transfection. Dual luciferase assay verified the direct targets of miR-21-5p. In conclusion, miR-21-5p seems to regulate IOP by modulating multiple genes that are associated with aqueous humor outflow, including genes those regulating cell adhesion, cytoskeletal dynamics and extracellular matrix turnover. Thus, miR-21-5p represents a new therapeutic strategy for glaucoma and a viable alternative to existing multidrug regimens.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The relationships between the rs1800976, rs4149313 and rs2230806 polymorphisms in ATP binding cassette protein A1 and severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) remain unclear. METHODS: Four hundred and forty-two patients with CAD and 217 CAD-free subjects were enrolled in this study. The rs1800976, rs4149313 and rs2230806 polymorphisms were genotyped by PCR-RFLP. Severity of CAD was evaluated by Gensini score system, number of stenotic coronary vessels and extent of coronary stenosis. RESULTS: C allele of the rs1800976 polymorphism, G allele of the rs4149313 polymorphism and A allele of the rs2230806 polymorphism were found to be risk alleles for CAD (p<0.05 for all). In patients with CAD, C allele of the rs1800976 polymorphism was associated with high levels of hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) and cystatin c (CysC), and its frequency increased with percentiles of Gensini score, number of stenotic coronary vessels and extent of coronary stenosis (p<0.05 for all). The subjects with GA genotype of the rs4149313 polymorphism had higher levels of total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B and hs-CRP than those with AA genotype (p<0.05 for all). The subjects with AA genotype of the rs2230806 polymorphism had higher levels of TC, LDL-C and uric acid than those with GA genotype (p<0.05 for all). No associations between the rs4149313 or rs2230806 polymorphism and severity of CAD were detected. CONCLUSIONS: The rs1800976 polymorphism is significantly associated with the occurrence and severity of CAD, which is possibly mediated by hs-CRP and CysC.

RESUMO

Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a growing public health concern with a high global prevalence; however, the fundamental processes involved in its pathogenic mechanisms remain poorly understood. In the present study, we applied nanoscale liquid chromatography and quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (nanoLC/Q-TOF-MS/MS) and ultraperformance LC/Q-TOF-MS/MS technologies on tear samples obtained from 18 dry eye patients and 19 healthy controls for integrated proteomic and metabolomic analyses. Overall, 1031 tear proteins were detected, while 190 proteins were determined to be significantly expressed in dry eye patients. Further functional analysis suggested that various biological processes were highly expressed and involved in the pathogenesis of DES, especially immune and inflammatory processes. In total, 156 named metabolites were identified, among which 34 were found to be significantly changed in dry eye patients. The results highlighted the key elements, especially inflammatory-related proteins and metabolites that played important roles in the development of DES. Further, the regulatory roles of primary pathways, including complement and coagulation cascades, glycolysis/gluconeogenesis, and amino acid metabolism, were also identified as processes involved in DES. Collectively, our work not only provided insight into the potential biomarkers of DES for diagnostic and prognostic purposes but extended our knowledge of the physiopathology of this syndrome.

RESUMO

Fabrication of hybrid semiconducting polymer dots (Pdots) endowed with special applications in biosensing and bioimaging in living systems has recently received considerable attention. In this study, novel two-photon fluorescent hybrid Pdots, DA-CD@Pdots, were first prepared by poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) (PSMA) being grafted with ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) and poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-co-(1,4-benzo-{2,1',3}-thiadiazole)] (PFBT) through a nanoprecipitation method, followed by covalent attachment with dopamine (DA) by using an EDC-catalyzed carboxylamine coupling reaction. The DA molecules anchored on the surface of the Pdots were further oxidized to form their quinone-like structures (DQ) and act as good electron acceptors to magnifyingly quench the fluorescence of Pdots by intraparticle photoinduced electron transfer (PET) and the "molecular-wire effect". The finally achieved hybrid DQ-CD@Pdots display enhanced colloidal stability, higher resistibility to environmental effects, and lower biological toxicity. In the presence of glutathione (GSH), DQ molecules on the surface of Pdots are reduced into catechol molecules and result in the inhibition of PET and restoration of the fluorescence of the Pdots. On the basis of the above demonstrations, the hybrid DQ-CD@Pdots are used as fluorescent probes for "turn-on" detection of GSH in the range from 0.01 to 3.0 µM with the detection limit of 2.7 nM. The prepared DQ-CD@Pdots probe is also applied to the GSH detection and imaging in living systems including human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells and living zebrafish with satisfactory results.

RESUMO

Purpose: Primary congenital glaucoma (PCG) is an autosomal recessive eye disorder, accounting for 0.01%-0.04% of blindness around the world. Unfortunately, the molecular characteristics concerning the pathogenic mechanisms of the disease remain poorly understood. Methods: Here, for the first time, we employed gas chromatography coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC/TOF MS) to reveal comprehensively the metabolic characteristics of PCG. Results: First, 363 metabolites were detected in 50 aqueous humor (AH) samples from 30 patients with PCG, 10 patients with congenital cataracts (CCs), and 10 patients with aged-related cataracts (ARCs). Second, 290 metabolites in total were found in another 15 patients with PCG and 10 patients with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG). A further analysis suggested that patients with PCG had a significantly distinct metabolomics profile. Three amino acid-associated metabolites, including glycine, urea, and phenylalanine, were identified to be significantly different (p≤0.05) in relation to PCG. Meanwhile, three glaucoma-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs7114303, rs9364602, and rs2165241, were determined to be related to these three metabolites. The results here indicate that certain amino acid-associated metabolites and their metabolisms are key regulatory elements and metabolic pathways in the pathogenesis of PCG. Conclusions: Collectively, this work not only extended our understanding of the molecular characteristics of PCG, but also presented glycine as a potential biomarker for earlier diagnosis and may provide new therapeutic strategies for the disease.
