RESUMO

The authors describe their experience on extra-anatomic bypass effected in five years at their Hospital. This note assesses indications relative to rebuilding operations of this kind (in particular distal revascularization in patients at high risk, or as secondary operations at prosthesis infections), the complications that can derive and finally the series in our Hospital in the years between 1986 and 1991. In our experience axillo-mono, bi-femoral and femoro-femoral bypass have been effected getting excellent results, so we believe that these operating techniques should also be extended to younger patients and to patients with arteriopathies to the late second stage of Leriche-Fontaine.

RESUMO

The Authors examine aetiological, pathological, and clinical patterns of the peripheric aneurysms and emphasize the frequency with which an aneurysm, even when asymptomatic, can complicate and cause acute ischaemia of a limb with high risk of amputation. They present their personal experience of ten operated cases, some of choice, others in emergency, and report the immediate and late results.

RESUMO

The authors describe a case of retroperitoneal liposarcoma developing between the leaflets of the transverse mesocolon. They briefly summarise the classification and the symptomatology of retroperitoneal tumours and discuss the way of presentation of their case comparing it with literature data.

RESUMO

Vesical diverticula are a common pathology of the urinary bladder, generally secondary to cervico-urethral obstruction. Frequency of giant diverticula is not reported in the literature. The Authors present a case of giant vesical diverticulum (20 x 30 cm in diameter) due to prostatic adenoma in which any referable symptomatology was absent. The Authors debate the reasons for which progressive development of the diverticulum has been related with the improvement of the frequency and urgency previously presented by the patient.

RESUMO

The authors relate seven cases of gallstones-ileus observed in a period of 20 years in the surgical division of Fabriano Hospital. The incidence of disease in connection with cholelithiasis and intestinal mechanic occlusion is pointed out. The diagnostic methodologies used don't anticipate radiographic contrast tests and they only consist in a direct abdominal radiological examination and in a hepatobiliary echography. The surgical treatment always consists in a enterolithotomy associated with an efficacious treatment of the hydro-electrolytic lack of balance. The resolution of the intestinal occlusion was performed in 71% of cases.
