RESUMO

Carbamate is a key structural motif in the development of fungicidal compounds, which is still promising and robust in the discovery of green pesticides. Herein, we report the synthesis and evaluation of the fungicidal activity of 35 carbamate derivatives, among which 19 compounds were synthesized in our previous report. These derivatives were synthesized from aromatic amides in a single step, which was a green oxidation process for Hofmann rearrangement using oxone, KCl and NaOH. Their chemical structures were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Their antifungal activity was tested against seven plant fungal pathogens. Many of the compounds exhibited good antifungal activity in vitro (inhibitory rate > 60% at 50 µg/mL). Compound 1ag exhibited excellent broad-spectrum antifungal activities with inhibition rates close to or higher than 70% at 50 µg/mL. Notably, compound 1af demonstrated the most potent inhibition against F. graminearum, with an EC50 value of 12.50 µg/mL, while compound 1z was the most promising candidate fungicide against F. oxysporum (EC50 = 16.65 µg/mL). The structure-activity relationships are also discussed in this paper. These results suggest that the N-aryl carbamate derivatives secured by our green protocol warrant further investigation as potential lead compounds for novel antifungal agents.

BACKGROUND: Brain structural and functional alterations have been reported in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) patients; however, these findings were inconsistent across studies due to several limitations, including small sample sizes, different inclusion/exclusion criteria, varied demographic characteristics and symptom dimensions, comorbidity, and medication status. Prominent and replicable neuroimaging biomarkers remain to be discovered. METHODS: This study explored the gray matter structure, neural activity, and white matter microstructure differences in 40 drug-naïve OCD patients and 57 matched healthy controls using ultrahigh field 7.0 T multimodal magnetic resonance imaging, which increased the spatial resolution and detection power. We also evaluated correlations among different modalities, imaging features and clinical symptoms. RESULTS: Drug-naïve OCD patients exhibited significantly increased gray matter volume in the frontal cortex, especially in the orbitofrontal cortex, as well as volumetric reduction in the temporal lobe, occipital lobe and cerebellum. Increased neural activities were observed in the cingulate gyri and precuneus. Increased temporal-middle cingulate and posterior cingulate-precuneus functional connectivities and decreased frontal-middle cingulate connectivity were further detected. Decreased fractional anisotropy values were found in the cingulum-hippocampus gyrus and inferior fronto-occipital fascicle in OCD patients. Moreover, significantly altered imaging features were related to OCD symptom severity. Altered functional and structural neural connectivity might influence compulsive and obsessive features, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: Altered structure and function of the classical cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical circuit, limbic system, default mode network, visual, language and sensorimotor networks play important roles in the neurophysiology of OCD.

RESUMO

We consider the initial value problem for the two-dimensional generalized Zakharov equations which model the propagation of Langmuir waves in plasmas. It is obtained that the solutions of the two-dimensional generalized Zakharov equations converge as α → 0 to a solution of the Zakharov equations. Both weak and strong solutions are considered.

RESUMO

In this paper, we consider the initial value problem for a two-dimensional generalized Zakharov system with quantum effects. We prove the existence and uniqueness of global smooth solutions to the initial value problem in the Sobolev space through making a priori integral estimates and the Galerkin method.
