RESUMO

This longitudinal study in Mainland China (2021-2022) explored the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) symptoms, with a focus on the role of self-compassion. Among 18,933 surveyed university students, 21.2% reported experiencing at least one ACE. Results revealed a clear relationship between ACEs and CPTSD symptoms. Furthermore, self-compassion, particularly the dimensions of self-judgment and isolation, moderated the association between retrospective ACEs and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and disturbance in self-organization (DSO) symptoms. These findings highlight the enduring impact of ACEs on CPTSD symptoms and emphasize the importance of early identification and targeted interventions, especially addressing self-judgment and isolation, to mitigate CPTSD risk among young Chinese adults.

RESUMO

The development of high-performance X-ray detectors requires scintillators with fast decay time, high light yield, stability, and X-ray absorption capacity, which are difficult to achieve in a single material. Here, we present the first example of a lanthanide chalcogenide of LaCsSiS4 : 1 % Ce3+ that simultaneously integrates multiple desirable properties for an ideal scintillator. LaCsSiS4 : 1 % Ce3+ demonstrates a remarkably low detection limit of 43.13 nGyair s-1 and a high photoluminescence quantum yield of 98.24 %, resulting in a high light yield of 50480±1441 photons/MeV. Notably, LaCsSiS4 : 1 % Ce3+ exhibits a fast decay time of only 29.35±0.16 ns, making it one of the fastest scintillators among all lanthanide-based inorganic scintillators. Furthermore, this material shows robust radiation and moisture resistance, endowing it with suitability for chemical processing under solution conditions. To demonstrate the X-ray imaging capacity of LaCsSiS4 : 1 % Ce3+ , we fabricated a flexible X-ray detector that achieved a high spatial resolution of 8.2 lp mm-1 . This work highlights the potential of lanthanide chalcogenide as a promising candidate for high-performance scintillators.

OBJECTIVE: To enhance understanding of the longitudinal progression of complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) symptoms, this longitudinal study examined how CPTSD symptoms interact over time in Chinese college students with childhood trauma. METHODS: From 18,933 college students who took part in two surveys 12 months apart, 4,006 participants who reported adverse childhood experiences were screened. Cross-sectional network comparisons and cross-lagged panel network (CLPN) analysis characterized interactions among CPTSD symptoms. RESULTS: In the cross-sectional networks, feeling like a failure and avoid activities reminiscent of the trauma were the central symptoms. Takes long time to calm down and exaggerated startle are important bridge symptoms in the two networks respectively. The comparison of cross-sectional networks indicates that the global network strength was stable. The findings of the CLPN model reveal that feel worthless and feel like a failure had the highest "out" expected influence; exaggerated startle and avoid thoughts and feelings about the trauma had the highest "in" expected influence. CONCLUSIONS: By conducting cross-sectional network analyses, the study illuminated the attributes of CPTSD networks across various time points. Additionally, the CLPN analysis uncovered the longitudinal patterns of CPTSD symptoms.

Storage phosphors displaying defect emissions are indispensable in technologically advanced radiation dosimeters. The current dosimeter is limited to the passive detection mode, where ionizing radiation-induced deep-trap defects must be activated by external stimulation such as light or heat. Herein, we designed a new type of shallow-trap storage phosphor by controlling the dopant amounts of Ag+ and Bi3+ in the host lattice of Cs2NaInCl6. A distinct phenomenon of X-ray-induced emission (XIE) is observed for the first time in an intrinsically nonemissive perovskite. The intensity of XIE exhibits a quantitative relationship with the accumulated dose, enabling a real-time radiation dosimeter. Thermoluminescence and in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy verify that the emission originates from the radiative recombination of electrons and holes associated with X-ray-induced traps. Theoretical calculations reveal the evolution process of Cl-Cl dimers serving as hole trap states. Analysis of temperature-dependent radioluminescence spectra provides evidence that the intrinsic electron-phonon interaction in 0.005 Ag+@ Cs2NaInCl6 is significantly reduced under X-ray irradiation. Moreover, 0.025 Bi3+@ Cs2NaInCl6 shows an elevated sensitivity to the accumulated dose with a broad response range from 0.08 to 45.05 Gy. This work discloses defect manipulation in halide double perovskites, giving rise to distinct shallow-trap storage phosphors that bridge traditional deep-trap storage phosphors and scintillators and enabling a brand-new type of material for real-time radiation dosimetry.

Wet dedusting is the main coal dust suppression technique in coal mines, and coal wettability is the main factor affecting dust suppression efficiency. To investigate the main factors affecting the coal wettability and improve it, the coal-water contact angle was used as an index to characterize the coal wettability, and the wettability of six coal samples with different metamorphic degree was studied by analyzing the relationship between the physicochemical properties and the contact angle. To improve the coal wettability, the nonionic surfactant alkyl polyglycoside (APG), anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS), and polymer surfactant polyacrylamide (PAM) were applied to the coal samples. The results show that SDBS is the most effective surfactant to improve the coal wettability, followed by APG, while the application of PAM would lead to more hydrophobic coal. It is also found that the coal wettability shows a high-low-high trend with the increase in the metamorphic degree. The wettability of long flame coal is the strongest and that of gas coal is the weakest. Moisture is the main hydrophilic factor of coal, while 1,4-dimethylbenzene is the main hydrophobic factor. The main factors affecting the treatment effect of APG, SDBS, and PAM on wettability are the aromatic methylbenzene, hydroxyl, and hydroxyl content of coal, respectively. Therefore, according to the content of hydroxyl in different coals, an SDBS solution can be prepared to improve the coal wettability. For coal with a low hydroxyl content, a higher concentration SDBS solution could be needed.

Structural variation (SV) represents a major form of genetic variations that contribute to polymorphic variations, human diseases, and phenotypes in many organisms. Long-read sequencing has been successfully used to identify novel and complex SVs. However, comparison of SV detection tools for long-read sequencing datasets has not been reported. Therefore, we developed an analysis workflow that combined two alignment tools (NGMLR and minimap2) and five callers (Sniffles, Picky, smartie-sv, PBHoney, and NanoSV) to evaluate the SV detection in six datasets of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The accuracy of SV regions was validated by re-aligning raw reads in diverse alignment tools, SV callers, experimental conditions, and sequencing platforms. The results showed that SV detection between NGMLR and minimap2 was not significant when using the same caller. The PBHoney was with the highest average accuracy (89.04%) and Picky has the lowest average accuracy (35.85%). The accuracy of NanoSV, Sniffles, and smartie-sv was 68.67%, 60.47%, and 57.67%, respectively. In addition, smartie-sv and NanoSV detected the most and least number of SVs, and SV detection from the PacBio sequencing platform was significantly more than that from ONT (p = 0.000173).
