The greatest achievement of neonatal intensive care units is reaching discharge from the patient with an acceptable neurological prognosis, mortality has now been reduced, but sequelae in neurodevelopment have not been improved. Perinatal risk factors can affect distinctly in each population., it's . The aim was to find the perinatal risk factors that are associated with neurodevelopmental alterations, and to predict the degree of influence of each of them, in infants attended at the Hospital Gineco-Obstétrico Isidro Ayora Quito-Ecuador, period 2012-2016. The data was obtained from the Computing Perinatal System compiled with the outpatient visitrecords. A case-control study is presented. Relational and multivariate analyzes were applied, using logistic regression models; exploiting its estimative and predictive utility. The results are presented in tables with their raw and adjusted OR. The predictive level of the final model was 97.5% and the area under the ROC curve 0.81 (CI 0.76-0.85). It was concluded that the conditions associated with altered neurodevelopment are low Apgar, prolonged hospital stay, perinatal hypoxia, weight less than 1500gr, moderate prematurity and congenital defects. When these risk factors are present, an unfavorable result can bepredicted up to 31.4% per case.
