The article deals with becoming of midwife care in Northern East Caucasus during XIX-early XX centuries. The differentiated analysis is made concerning situation and conditions in cities, highland okrugs and Cossak facilities. The issues of training of midwives in the region and organization of obstetrics in auls and stanitsas are considered.

[Mineral springs on the north-east of Caucasus and its role in the treatment of soldiers of the Russian army in XIX--beginning XX c].

The article is concerned to the history of formation of sanitary-treatment stations on the North Caucasus, in Chechnya (Goryachevodsky and Mikhailovsky mineral springs) till 1917 year. The basis of the article are archive documents, scientific papers of contemporaries and official documents. Goryachevodsky and Mikhailovsky mineral springs were more than 70 years the one the best recreative base of the Caucasian standing army including the caucasian cossack troop. The sanitary-treatment stations were of great importance during the active military actions with Hill people within the territory of Chechnya and Dagestan, during the Crimean War (1853-1856), The Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 and the First World War (1914-1918), when the amount of the wounded and ill soldiers increased.

[The becoming of medical care to workers in the north-Eastern Caucasus in second half of XIX--early XX centuries].

The article considers the issues of becoming of medical care to workers of industrial enterprises, oil-extracting enterprises, fishery, construction and maintenance of the Vladikavkaz railroad in the north-Eastern area of Caucasus. The information is presented concerning first curative institutions supporting local workers.

[Formation and development of military-medical service of Terek Cossak Army in XIX--beginning XX c].

The article is dedicated to one nor enough investigated question of medical supplement of irregular Cossak army in North Caucasus in XIX--beginning XX c. The role of the government and cossaks in formation and development of medical service in Terek Cossak Army is showed. Characteristic pecularities of health care of mountain population after administrative development of the district by Tsar Russia. The author underlined that despite the disadvantages, medical service of Terek Cossak Army and Terek district in described period was right developing system of medical care for irregular army and population.

[Lumbalgia in adolescents and young adults]. / Liumbalgiia u podrostkov i iunoshei.

On the basis of clinical and roentgenologic examinations of 67 patients under 20 years of age, a symptom-complex of lumbago is described. The clinical manifestations and the course of the disease as well as impairments of the spine both under static and dynamic conditions are presented. Recommendations on the treatment and prophylaxis of lumbago are offered.
