RESUMEN

Hepatic steatosis is a critical factor in the development of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Sesamin (Ses), a functional lignan isolated from Sesamum indicum, possesses hypolipidemic, liver-protective, anti-hypertensive, and anti-tumor properties. Ses has been found to improve hepatic steatosis, but the exact mechanisms through which Ses achieves this are not well understood. In this study, we observed the anti-hepatic steatosis effects of Ses in palmitate/oleate (PA/OA)-incubated primary mouse hepatocytes, AML12 hepatocytes, and HepG2 cells, as well as in high-fat, high-cholesterol diet-induced NASH mice. RNA sequencing analysis revealed that cluster of differentiation 36 (CD36), a free fatty acid (FA) transport protein, was involved in the Ses-mediated inhibition of hepatic fat accumulation. Moreover, the overexpression of CD36 significantly increased hepatic steatosis in both Ses-treated PA/OA-incubated HepG2 cells and NASH mice. Furthermore, Ses treatment suppressed insulin-induced de novo lipogenesis in HepG2 cells, which was reversed by CD36 overexpression. Mechanistically, we found that Ses ameliorated NASH by inhibiting CD36-mediated FA uptake and upregulation of lipogenic genes, including FA synthase, stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1, and sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1. The findings of our study provide novel insights into the potential therapeutic applications of Ses in the treatment of NASH.

RESUMEN

Sesamin (Ses) is a natural lignan abundantly present in sesame and sesame oil. Pyroptosis, a newly identified type of pro-inflammatory programmed necrosis, contributes to the development of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) when hepatocyte pyroptosis is excessive. In this study, Ses treatment demonstrated an improvement in hepatic damage in mice with high-fat, high-cholesterol diet-induced NASH and palmitate (PA)-treated mouse primary hepatocytes. Notably, we discovered, for the first time, that Ses could alleviate hepatocyte pyroptosis both in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, treatment with phorbol myristate acetate, a protein kinase Cδ (PKCδ) agonist, increased PKCδ phosphorylation and attenuated the protective effects of Ses against pyroptosis in PA-treated mouse primary hepatocytes. Mechanistically, Ses treatment alleviated hepatocyte pyroptosis in NASH, which was associated with the regulation of the PKCδ/nod-like receptor family CARD domain-containing protein 4/caspase-1 axis. This study introduces a novel concept and target, suggesting the potential use of functional factors in food to alleviate liver damage caused by NASH.

RESUMEN

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the primary complication of type 2 diabetes (T2DM)-related liver disease, lacking effective treatment options. Metformin (Met), a widely prescribed anti-hyperglycemic medication, has been found to protect against NAFLD. Ferroptosis, a newly discovered form of cell death, is associated with the development of NAFLD. Despite this association, the extent of Met's protective effects on NAFLD through the modulation of ferroptosis has yet to be thoroughly investigated. In the present study, the administration of erastin or Ras-selective lethal 3 (RSL3), both known ferroptosis inducers, resulted in elevated cell mortality and reduced cell viability in AML12 hepatocytes. Notably, Met treatment demonstrated the capacity to mitigate these effects. Furthermore, we observed increased ferroptosis levels in both AML12 hepatocytes treated with palmitate and oleate (PA/OA) and in the liver tissue of db/db mice. Met treatment demonstrated significant reductions in iron accumulation and lipid-related reactive oxygen species production, simultaneously elevating the glutathione/glutathione disulfide ratio in both PA/OA-treated AML12 hepatocytes and the liver tissue of db/db mice. Interestingly, the anti-ferroptosis effects of Met were significantly reversed with the administration of RSL3, both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, Met treatment regulated the glutathione peroxidase 4/solute carrier family 7 member 11/acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 4 axis to alleviate ferroptosis in NAFLD hepatocytes. Overall, our findings highlight the crucial role of ferroptosis in the development of T2DM-related NAFLD and underscore the potential of Met in modulating key factors associated with ferroptosis in the context of NAFLD.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Extrachromosomal circular DNAs (eccDNAs) exist in human blood and somatic cells, and are essential for oncogene plasticity and drug resistance. However, the presence and impact of eccDNAs in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remains inadequately understood. METHODS: We purified and sequenced the serum eccDNAs obtained from newly diagnosed T2DM patients and normal control (NC) subjects using Circle-sequencing. We validated the level of a novel circulating eccDNA named sorbin and SH3-domain- containing-1circle97206791-97208025 (SORBS1circle) in 106 newly diagnosed T2DM patients. The relationship between eccDNA SORBS1circle and clinical data was analyzed. Furthermore, we explored the source and expression level of eccDNA SORBS1circle in the high glucose and palmitate (HG/PA)-induced hepatocyte (HepG2 cell) insulin resistance model. RESULTS: A total of 22,543 and 19,195 eccDNAs were found in serum samples obtained from newly diagnosed T2DM patients and NC subjects, respectively. The T2DM patients had a greater distribution of eccDNA on chromosomes 1, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and X. Additionally, 598 serum eccDNAs were found to be upregulated, while 856 eccDNAs were downregulated in T2DM patients compared with NC subjects. KEGG analysis demonstrated that the genes carried by eccDNAs were mainly associated with insulin resistance. Moreover, it was validated that the eccDNA SORBS1circle was significantly increased in serum of newly diagnosed T2DM patients (106 T2DM patients vs. 40 NC subjects). The serum eccDNA SORBS1circle content was positively correlated with the levels of glycosylated hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) in T2DM patients. Intracellular eccDNA SORBS1circle expression was significantly enhanced in the high glucose and palmitate (HG/PA)-induced hepatocyte (HepG2 cell) insulin resistance model. Moreover, the upregulation of eccDNA SORBS1circle in the HG/PA-treated HepG2 cells was dependent on generation of apoptotic DNA fragmentation. CONCLUSIONS: These results provide a preliminary understanding of the circulating eccDNA patterns at the early stage of T2DM and suggest that eccDNA SORBS1circle may be involved in the development of insulin resistance.

RESUMEN

Metformin (Met) is the recommended first-line therapeutic drug for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and exerts protective effects on ß-cell damage. Ferroptosis, a new form of cell death, is associated with pancreatic islet injury in patients with T2DM. However, the protective effects of Met treatment against ß-cell damage through ferroptosis modulation remain under-reported. This study investigated the in vivo effects of Met treatment on pancreatic ß-cell ferroptosis using two different diabetic mouse models, namely, low-dose streptozotocin (STZ) and high-fat diet (HFD)-induced diabetic mice and db/db mice. Met treatment significantly restored insulin release, reduced cell mortality, and decreased the overproduction of lipid-related reactive oxygen species in the islets of both STZ/HFD-induced diabetic mice and db/db mice. Administration of the Ras-selective lethal 3 injection significantly attenuated the antiferroptosis effects of Met. Mechanistically, Met treatment alleviated ß-cell ferroptosis in T2DM, which was associated with the regulation of the GPX4/ACSL4 axis in the islets. In conclusion, our findings highlight the significance of ferroptosis in T2DM ß-cell damage and provide novel insights into the protective effects of Met against islet ß cells.

RESUMEN

Ferroptosis, a new type of cell death, is associated with pancreatic ß cell damage. However, the role of glucolipotoxicity in inducing ß cell ferroptosis remains unclear. Metformin (Met), exenatide (Exe), and saxagliptin (Sax) are frequently used anti-hyperglycaemic drugs. However, their protective effects on ß cells through ferroptosis modulation are not well-established. In this study, we observed significant ferroptosis in NIT-1 cells and primary mouse islets after exposure to high glucose and palmitate (HG/PA). Compared to Exe and Sax, Met significantly alleviated glucolipotoxicity-induced pancreatic ß cell ferroptosis. Blocking the activity of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) with Ras-selective lethal 3 or inhibiting its expression by small interfering RNA transfection significantly attenuated the anti-ferroptosis effects of Met. Mechanistically, Met alleviates HG/PA-induced ß cell ferroptosis by regulating the GPX4/ACSL4 axis. Collectively, our findings highlight the significance of ferroptosis in pancreatic ß cell glucolipotoxicity-induced injury and provide novel insights into the protective effects of Met on islet ß cells.

RESUMEN

Vanadium is a transition metal that naturally occurs in the environment and has a variety of biological and physiological impacts on humans. Sodium orthovanadate (SOV), a well-known chemical compound of vanadium, has shown notable anti-cancer activity in various types of human malignancies. However, the effect of SOV on stomach cancer is yet undetermined. Furthermore, only a few studies have investigated the association of SOV and radiosensitivity with stomach cancer. Our study has investigated the ability of SOV to increase the sensitivity of gastric cancer cells to radiation. To detect autophagy triggered by ionizing radiation and the influence of SOV on cell radiosensitivity, the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK8) test, EDU staining experiment, colony formation assay, and immunofluorescence were performed. The possible synergistic effects of SOV and irradiation were examined in vivo using a xenograft mouse model of stomach cancer cells. Both in vitro and in vivo studies showed that SOV markedly reduced the growth of stomach cancer cells and improved their radiosensitivity. Our results showed that SOV increased gastric cancer cells' radiosensitivity, thereby blocking the radiation-induced autophagy-related protein, ATG10. Thus, SOV can be considered a potential agent for radiosensitizing gastric cancer.

RESUMEN

In the current studies, the supercritical carbon dioxide coal-fired power generation systems show efficiency and cost advantages over the traditional steam-based power systems. However, few studies have considered simultaneously environmental and economic objectives in the multi-objective analysis process. This study conducts a layout comparison and parameter optimization of the systems under the above two objectives. Initially, the thermodynamic, environmental, and economic models of the systems are established. Subsequently, the optimal layout is determined by the two-stage layout comparison. Further, multi-objective optimization is performed for the selected layout, and the optimal design parameters are determined by the decision process. Finally, the sensitivities of three selected parameters to the optimization results are analyzed. The results show that the basic layout coupled with overlap and intercooling schemes is optimal. Its ultimate environmental impact (UEI) and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) are 219.8 kp-eq and 56.9 USD/MWh, respectively. The two objectives UEI and LCOE are conflicting. Based on a trade-off between them, the maximum temperature/pressure of the system is determined to be 635.3 °C/30.1 MPa. The coal price per unit of heat shows the highest sensitivity, and the pinch temperature difference of the recuperator shows opposite sensitivities at the UEI below 218 kp-eq and above 223 kp-eq.

RESUMEN

Apolipoprotein M (ApoM) is considered a protective factor that inhibits the occurrence and development of liver cancer, but the specific underlying mechanisms require further investigation. Previous studies have demonstrated that ApoM gene knockout promotes the expression of the transcription factor sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP1; also known as SREBF1) in the livers of mice. SREBF1 is closely associated with factors involved in fatty acid synthesis and has a role in the promotion of tumor progression. The present study initially confirmed that the expression levels of ApoM in cancer tissues were significantly decreased compared with those in normal tissue, while the expression levels of SREBF1 were significantly increased. In addition, ApoM gene knockout significantly increased the expression levels of SREBF1 and the key glycolytic enzyme ATP-dependent 6-phosphofructokinase, liver type (PFKL). Binding site prediction and a dual-luciferase reporter gene assay indicated that SREBF1 regulates the promoter region of PFKL. To the best of our knowledge, the present study was the first to propose the regulation of glycolytic enzyme transcription levels by SREBF1. Furthermore, cell proliferation and Transwell assays demonstrated that ApoM gene knockout increased the expression levels of SREBF1 and further enhanced the activity of the promoter region of PFKL, ultimately promoting the proliferation, migration and invasion of liver cancer cells.

RESUMEN

Low-expansion alloys are of great importance and can be used for the development of new aerospace materials. Herein, we report diverse rare earth quasicrystal alloys fabricated by the vacuum suction casting process. The effects of the addition of cerium (Ce) on the microstructure, thermal expansion properties and microhardness of the Al-Cu-Fe alloy were systematically investigated. This study discovered the tiny Al-Cu-Fe-Ce microstructure. A uniform distribution could be achieved after Ce addition amount is elevated. At the Ce addition amount of 1 at%, the lowest alloy thermal expansion coefficient was obtained. The alloy exhibited the maximum microhardness under these conditions. The microhardness of alloys containing 1 at% of Ce was approximately 2.4 times higher than the microhardness exhibited by alloys devoid of Ce additives. The coefficient of thermal expansion decreases by approximately 20%. The use of the suction casting process and the addition of an appropriate amount of Ce can potentially help design and develop Al-Cu-Fe-Ce alloys.

RESUMEN

In this study, Fe-25Mn-9Al-8Ni-1C-xTi alloy (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 wt.%) was prepared by vacuum arc melting, and the corresponding microstructure and oxidation behavior at 600 °C were studied. The results show that Fe-25Mn-9Al-8Ni-1C-xTi alloy mainly contains austenite phase, ferrite phase and TiC phase. With Ti content increasing, the austenite phase content decreases, while the contents of ferrite phase and TiC phase increase. The oxidation performance test results show that the addition of Ti element greatly reduces the oxidation weight gain of the alloys at the initial oxidation stage. With the extension of the oxidation time and the further increase of the Ti content, the alloys oxidation weight gain shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. When the Ti content is 0.2 wt.%, the oxidation weight gain of this series of alloy reaches the lowest value during the stable oxidation period. Compared with Fe-25Mn-9Al-8Ni-1C alloy, its weight gain per unit area is reduced by 21.1%. Fe-25Mn-9Al-8Ni-1C-xTi alloy oxide layer exhibits a double-layer structure. The outer oxygen layer is mainly loose iron-oxides, while in the inner oxygen layer, the oxides are mainly composed of manganese-oxides and aluminum-oxides, which are relatively dense.

RESUMEN

Al 7075 alloy, 15 wt.% VN/7075 composites, and 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites were prepared by ball milling with subsequent hot-pressing sintering. The microstructure, hardness, and wear properties at room temperature to 200 °C of Al 7075-based composites with different reinforcement phases were discussed. The grain uniformity degree values of 15 wt.% VN/7075 composites and 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites were 0.25 and 0.13, respectively. The reinforcement phase was uniformly distributed in 15 wt.% VN/7075 composites and 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites, almost no agglomeration occurred. The order of hardness was 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites (270.2 HV) > 15 wt.% VN/7075 composites (119.5 HV) > Al 7075 (81.8 HV). At the same temperature, the friction coefficient of 15 wt.% VN/7075 composites was the lowest, while the volume wear rate of 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites was the lowest. With the increase of temperature, the wear mechanism of Al 7075 changed from spalling wear to oxidation wear and adhesion wear. However, the wear mechanisms of 15 wt.% VN/7075 and 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites changed from abrasive wear at room temperature to wear mechanism (oxidation wear, abrasive wear, and adhesive wear) at medium and low temperature. Comprehensive wear test results indicated that 20 wt.% TiB2-TiCx/7075 composites had excellent tribological properties at medium and low temperature.

RESUMEN

In recent years, abnormal liver lipid metabolism has emerged as one of the important pathogenesis pathways of primary liver cancer. It is highly important to identify the mechanisms to explore potential prevention and treatment targets. Apolipoprotein M is specifically expressed in the liver and participates in liver lipid metabolism, but the evidence that ApoM affects primary liver cancer is insufficient. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database and clinical case analysis, as well as animal level and cell level analysis suggest that the expression level of ApoM gene in cancer tissues is lower than that in paracarcinoma tissues. Further experimental research found that the deletion of ApoM significantly increased the proliferation of mouse liver cancer cells (Hepa1-6) and inhibited the level of apoptosis induced by cisplatin. In addition, mouse liver cancer cells lacking ApoM showed stronger migration and invasion capabilities in transwell experiments. In contrast, overexpression of ApoM in Hepa1-6 cells and Huh-7 cells showed an inhibition of proliferation, up-regulation apoptosis and reduced migration and invasion. In vivo, the deletion of the ApoM accelerated tumorigenesis in nude mice and allowed the mice to develop liver tumor mutations more quickly under the induction of N-nitrosodiethylamine and the survival time of mice was shorter than that control. Therefore, ApoM may be a potential protective factor to inhibit the occurrence and development of primary liver cancer.

RESUMEN

The Ni-65wt%WC cladding layers were prepared on the surface of Q235 using laser cladding technology, in which the effect of heat treatment on microstructure and tribocorrosion performance was investigated. The results showed that the coating is mainly consisted of Ni, WC, and W2C, and a significant diffusion phenomenon is formed between the interfaces of WC/Ni matrix, benefited for the improvement of bonding layer between WC/Ni-based matrixes. Meanwhile, the crystallization of WC particles after heat treatment was more obvious than untreatment; the Ni matrix grain size was also grown remarkable, leading to the lower hardness and weaker plastic deformation resistance of Ni-65wt%WC coating. And the erosion results showed that the wear rate of coating gradually decreased with heat treatment temperature increasing, while brittle WC was not suitable for high impact wear conditions. Furthermore, with the increase of heat treatment temperature, the reciprocating wear performance showed that the friction coefficient and wear rate of Ni-65wt%WC coating decreased. And the friction coefficient and wear rate of the coating (700°C) in 3.5% NaCl solution were 0.15 and 4.82 × 10-8 mm3·N-1·m-1, respectively. Therefore, the comprehensive comparison showed that Ni-65WC coating had better performance in low impact reciprocating testing under corrosion environment, and heat treatment was helpful to further improve the tribocorrosion performance of laser cladding Ni-65wt%WC coating.

RESUMEN

The effect of diamond surface pretreatment and content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of NiAl/Fe-x diamond (x = 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 wt.%) alloys was investigated after mechanical alloying with subsequent hot-pressing sintering. The results showed that after the surface pretreatment, a complete transition layer containing W existed on the outer surface of the diamond grains, which improved the interfacial bonding strength of the diamond grains and NiAl/Fe matrix to an excellent level. As the diamond content increased, the compressive strength of the NiAl/Fe-based alloys declined, but the alloy with 10 wt.% diamond had a higher value than that of the other NiAl/Fe-based alloys. Short cracks and transgranular fracture were observed in the fracture surface of all materials. For the material with 20 wt.% diamond, intergranular fracture was obvious, and many diamond particles appeared along the fracture direction, which caused the compressive strength to be the lowest of the samples considered in this study. After the addition of diamond, the oxidation resistance of NiAl/Fe-based alloys decreased due to a loose oxidation layer and diamond graphitization. The thermal conductivity of the alloy first increased and then decreased with increasing diamond content. A NiAl/Fe-based alloy with 15 wt.% diamond demonstrated the maximum thermal conductivity of 53.2 W/(m·k) at 600°C among the samples in this study.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) on generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). METHODS: A total of 200 patients with GAD were randomized into an acupuncture+CES group, an acupuncture group, a CES group and a medication group, 50 cases in each one. In the medication group, patients were treated with tandospirone citrate tablet orally, 10 mg after breakfast, lunch and dinner respectively. In the CES group, CES was adopted by SCS brain electromedical instrument, 60 min each time, once a day. In the acupuncture group, acupuncture was applied to Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Yintang (GV 29), Shenting (GV 24), etc., 30 min each time, once a day. In the acupuncture+CES group, CES was adopted before acupuncture. Treatment of sixty days was required in the 4 groups. Before and after treatment, the scores of Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA), World Health Organization's quality of life questionnaire-brief version (WHOQOL-BREF) and treatment emergent symptom scale (TESS) were observed, the clinical effect was evaluated, and the relapse of anxiety during follow-up of 1 year after treatment was recorded in the 4 groups. RESULTS: Compared before treatment, the scores of HAMA after treatment were decreased (P<0.05), the scores of WHOQOL- BREF after treatment were increased in the 4 groups (P<0.05), and the improvements of above scores in the acupuncture+CES group were greater than the other 3 groups (P<0.05). The score of TESS after treatment and the relapse rate of 1-year follow-up in the medication group were higher than those in the other 3 groups (P<0.05). The total effective rate in the acupuncture+CES group were superior to the other 3 groups (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Acupuncture combined with CES can effectively relieve the symptoms in patients with GAD, improve the quality of life, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions and the relapse rate, and its clinical effect is obviously superior to the western medication, the simple application of acupuncture or CES.

RESUMEN

The oxidation mechanism of vermicular graphite cast iron was studied. The oxidation reaction starts from graphites and diffused slowly. Graphites in vermicular graphite are interconnected, coral-like clusters, providing the main oxidation core and channel. The worm-like graphites on the surface are mostly oxidized and form oxide affected zones. The oxide films are composed of a loose oxide layer with the phases of Fe3O4, Fe2O3, and FeO, and a dense passivation layer with FeO and Fe2SiO4. After oxidation, pearlites in the vermicular graphite cast iron are decomposed into ferrite and cementite at high temperatures.

RESUMEN

The effects of cooling rate 0.15, 1.5, 15, 150, and 1.5 × 105 °C/s on the microstructures and mechanical properties of Al-13Si-4Cu-1Mg-2Ni cast piston alloy were investigated. The results show that with an increase of solidification cooling rate, the secondary dendrite arm spacing (SDAS) of this model alloy can be calculated using the formula D = 47.126v - 1/3. The phases formed during the solidification with lower cooling rates primarily consist of eutectic silicon, M-Mg2Si phase, γ-Al7Cu4Ni phase, δ-Al3CuNi phase, ε-Al3Ni phase, and Q-Al5Cu2Mg8Si6 phase. With the increase in the solidification cooling rate from 0.15 to 15 °C/s, the hardness increased from 80.9 to 125.7 HB, the room temperature tensile strength enhanced from 189.3 to 282.5 MPa, and the elongation at break increased from 1.6% to 2.8%. The ε -Al3Ni phase disappears in the alloy and the Q phase emerges. The δ phase and the γ phase change from large-sized meshes and clusters to smaller meshes and Chinese script patterns. Further increase in the cooling rate leads to the micro hardness increasing gradually from 131.2 to 195.6 HV and the alloy solidifying into a uniform structure and forming nanocrystals.

The treatment lasted for 8 weeks in the three groups. The change of Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) score and clinical efficacy were observed before and after treatment. RESULTS: In 8 weeks of treatment, in the acupuncture + medication group, 19 cases were cured, 35 cases were markedly effective, 14 cases were effective and 10 cases failed, the effective rate was 87.2%; in the western medicine group, 11 cases were cured, 32 cases were markedly effective, 18 cases were effective and 13 cases failed, the effective rate was 82.4%; in the Chinese medicine group, 5 cases were cured, 14 cases were markedly effective, 35 cases were effective and 21 cases failed, the effective rate was 72.0%. HAMD assessment was done in 8 weeks of treatment, which was (5.71 +/- 4.32) scores in the acupuncture + medication group, (6.09 +/- 3.78) scores in the western medicine group and (9.24 +/- 3.49) in the Chinese medicine group, the differences were significant in the Chinese medicine group compared with the western medicine group and the acupuncture + medication group (both P < 0.05). The differences in the scores after treatment were not significant statistically between the acupuncture + medication group and the western medicine group (both P > 0.05), but the cured and markedly effective rate in the acupuncture + medication group was superior to that in the western medicine group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The alliance of acupuncture and medication achieves the definite efficacy on depression, characterized as less adverse reactions and better safety.

RESUMEN

In order to have a good grasp of rules of acupuncture for severe peripheral facial paralysis, the early clinical features of severe peripheral facial paralysis (Bell's palsy) are studied and analyzed from the aspect of injury level, injury degrees, clinical syndromes and symptoms; consequently, the treatment strategies with acupuncture are proposed. The severe peripheral facial paralysis is an important research area in clinic trials which verifies the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment.
