RESUMEN

Recently, the supra-normal left ventricular ejection fraction (snLVEF) has been proposed, based on extensive datasets indicating increased all-cause mortality in individuals with an LVEF exceeding 65%. However, the implications of an LVEF > 65% in the context of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remain underexplored. The aim of the present study was to investigate the correlation between supra-normal left ventricular ejection fraction (snLVEF) and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with ACS.Methods: A total of 874 ACS patients (560 men, mean age 59.5 ± 10.0; 314 women, mean age 61.5 ± 8.9) who underwent their first coronary angiography during the period from March 2013 to October 2015 were divided into 2 groups: normal LVEF (nLVEF) (55% ≤ EF ≤ 65%) and snLVEF (EF > 65%), according to their echocardiography results. The patients were evaluated for MACE after surgery by collecting clinical data and long-term follow-up data. This correlation was further analyzed by Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox regression analysis. The follow-up data revealed a significantly higher incidence of MACE among snLVEF patients compared to the nLVEF group (15.6% versus 7.4%; P = 0.020). This heightened risk persisted even after adjustment for multiple variables, indicating a strong association between snLVEF and increased MACE risk (HR: 2.346; 95% CI: 1.196-4.602; P = 0.013).SnLVEF was independently associated with poor prognosis after ACS. Enhanced management strategies for snLVEF patients could potentially reduce the incidence of MACE in ACS patients.

RESUMEN

With the rapid development of the geometric modeling industry and computer technology, the design and shape optimization of complex curve shapes have now become a very important research topic in CAGD. In this paper, the Hybrid Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm (HAHA) is used to optimize complex composite shape-adjustable generalized cubic Ball (CSGC-Ball, for short) curves. Firstly, the Artificial Hummingbird algorithm (AHA), as a newly proposed meta-heuristic algorithm, has the advantages of simple structure and easy implementation and can quickly find the global optimal solution. However, there are still limitations, such as low convergence accuracy and the tendency to fall into local optimization. Therefore, this paper proposes the HAHA based on the original AHA, combined with the elite opposition-based learning strategy, PSO, and Cauchy mutation, to increase the population diversity of the original algorithm, avoid falling into local optimization, and thus improve the accuracy and rate of convergence of the original AHA. Twenty-five benchmark test functions and the CEC 2022 test suite are used to evaluate the overall performance of HAHA, and the experimental results are statistically analyzed using Friedman and Wilkerson rank sum tests. The experimental results show that, compared with other advanced algorithms, HAHA has good competitiveness and practicality. Secondly, in order to better realize the modeling of complex curves in engineering, the CSGC-Ball curves with global and local shape parameters are constructed based on SGC-Ball basis functions. By changing the shape parameters, the whole or local shape of the curves can be adjusted more flexibly. Finally, in order to make the constructed curve have a more ideal shape, the CSGC-Ball curve-shape optimization model is established based on the minimum curve energy value, and the proposed HAHA is used to solve the established shape optimization model. Two representative numerical examples comprehensively verify the effectiveness and superiority of HAHA in solving CSGC-Ball curve-shape optimization problems.

RESUMEN

Alternative splicing (AS) plays an important role in gene regulation, and AS perturbations are frequently observed in cancer. RNA binding protein (RBP) is one of the molecular determinants of AS, and perturbations in RBP-gene network activity are causally associated with cancer development. Here, we performed a systematic analysis to characterize the perturbations in AS events across 18 cancer types. We showed that AS alterations were prevalent in cancer and involved in cancer-related pathways. Given that the extent of AS perturbation was associated with disease severity, we proposed a computational pipeline to identify RBP regulators. Pan-cancer analysis identified a number of conserved RBP regulators, which play important roles in regulating AS of genes involved in cancer hallmark pathways. Our application analysis revealed that the expression of 68 RBP regulators helped in cancer subtyping. Specifically, we identified four subtypes of kidney cancer with differences in cancer hallmark pathway activities and prognosis. Finally, we identified the small molecules that can potentially target the RBP genes and suggested potential candidates for cancer therapy. In summary, our comprehensive AS perturbation landscape analysis identified RBPs as potential therapeutic targets in cancer and provided novel insights into the regulatory functions of RBPs in cancer.

RESUMEN

Due to the continuous changes of political environment, consumption habits, technological progress and other factors, the external environment of enterprises is full of uncertainty. The turbulence of external environment is not conducive to the long-term operation and development of enterprises, but also brings great challenges to the selection of suppliers. This makes the competition of enterprises focus on how to choose long-term cooperation suppliers in the uncertain external environment. In addition, due to the deterioration of the global environment, governments pay more and more attention to environmental pollution, and consumers are more and more inclined to green consumption, which makes many companies pay more and more attention to environmental indicators when selecting suppliers. In the case of external environment turbulence and serious environmental pollution, the evaluation and selection of green suppliers in uncertain environment is particularly important for the long-term development of enterprises. What's more, when the supplier's capability gap is small, the decision-maker often hesitates among several suppliers. In this paper, the hesitant fuzzy is used to describe the hesitant psychology of decision-makers in selecting suppliers, the variance fluctuation is used to describe the characteristics of hesitant fuzzy numbers, and the probability is used to measure the uncertainty of the environment. A green supplier evaluation model under the uncertainty environment is proposed, which comprehensively evaluates the green suppliers under the uncertain environment. Furthermore, it is compared with other methods that do not consider the uncertainty and the adaptability of evaluation method and right confirmation method, so as to reflect the influence of uncertainty to green supplier evaluation and the importance of adaptability of evaluation method and right confirmation method.

RESUMEN

The issue of trans-boundary water conflict has become an important factor affecting the relations between basin countries. The key to solve the current conflict problem is to realize the fair and reasonable allocation of trans-boundary water resources. Based on the satisfaction perspective, we developed an asymmetric Nash negotiation model to obtain an optimal and feasible allocation scheme for the trans-boundary water resources. Firstly, based on the two international water laws, we analyzed the influencing factors including water demand differences, resource endowment differences, and water efficiency differences, and by combing with the flexible weight constraint, we built the fair and reasonable allocation pattern for trans-boundary water resources. Secondly, under the constraint of the allocation pattern, we determined the ideal negotiation scheme of each basin country by considering their selection preference. Thirdly, we built a satisfaction degree function and established an asymmetric Nash negotiation model. This is used to build a fair negotiation mechanism among basin countries, and the allocation scheme after negotiation is regarded as the optimal allocation scheme. Lastly, we took the Lancang-Mekong river basin as an example. For this example, the results indicate the following: (1) after considering multiple factors comprehensively, China and Thailand obtained a higher proportion of trans-boundary water resource quota under different preference scenarios, while Myanmar obtained a lower proportion of trans-boundary water resource quota; (2) taking each basin country as the negotiation agent, the optimal allocation scheme with the introduction of fair negotiation mechanism has a higher degree of satisfaction, with an average of over 87.19%, which is more stable and easy to be accepted by all basin countries; (3) from the perspective of the change rate and the average satisfaction of the basin countries, the optimal allocation scheme under the resource endowment preference scenario obtained the highest satisfaction among basin countries. This study aims to improve the practicability and acceptability of trans-boundary water resources allocation, thus providing technical support for reducing trans-boundary water resources conflicts.

RESUMEN

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as critical regulators of gene expression and they play fundamental roles in immune regulation. Here we introduce an integrated algorithm, ImmLnc, for identifying lncRNA regulators of immune-related pathways. We comprehensively chart the landscape of lncRNA regulation in the immunome across 33 cancer types and show that cancers with similar tissue origin are likely to share lncRNA immune regulators. Moreover, the immune-related lncRNAs are likely to show expression perturbation in cancer and are significantly correlated with immune cell infiltration. ImmLnc can help prioritize cancer-related lncRNAs and further identify three molecular subtypes (proliferative, intermediate, and immunological) of non-small cell lung cancer. These subtypes are characterized by differences in mutation burden, immune cell infiltration, expression of immunomodulatory genes, response to chemotherapy, and prognosis. In summary, the ImmLnc pipeline and the resulting data serve as a valuable resource for understanding lncRNA function and to advance identification of immunotherapy targets.

RESUMEN

Ecological control line is a system innovation in the field of ecological environment protection in China and it has become as an important strategy of national ecological protection. Ten years have passed since the first ecological control line in Shenzhen was delimited in 2005. This study examines the connotations of ecological control line and the current study status in China and abroad, and then takes a brief description about the delimitation background and existing problems of the ecological control line in Shenzhen. The problem-solving strategy is gradually transforming from extensive management to refined management. This study proposes a differential ecological space management model that merges the space system, management system, and support system. The implementation paths include the following five aspects: delimiting ecological bottom lines to protect core ecological resources; formulating access systems for new construction projects to strictly control new construction; implementing construction land inventory reclamation assisted by market means; regulating boundary adjusting procedures and processes; and constructing ecological equity products by using multiple means to implement rights relief. Finally, this study illustrates the progress of the implementation and discusses the rigorousness and flexibility problems of ecological control line and calls for the promotion of the legislation. The management model and implementation paths proposed in this study have referential significance for developing countries and megacities to achieve ecological protection and sustainable development.

RESUMEN

By using the biopurifying technology, the organic waste gas in low concentrations emitted from the rubber-regeneration process was purified in this research. The result of the 100-day continuous running test of the industrial test device indicated that the purification efficiency of toluene in the rubber-regeneration waste gas could be maintained at about 90% for a long period of time and the treated waste gas could meet the China National Emission Standard. The cost of waste gas biotreatment was about 0.12-0.14% of rubber-regeneration production value of the factory. The biopurifying technology of waste gas displayed its excellent technical advancement and economic rationale. The following industrialized device was run continuously and passed the examination and acceptance by the local EPA.
