RESUMEN

This study by Amnesty International's Danish Medical Group concerns 85 Chilean children now living in Denmark whose parents have been tortured. The children in the present study, in the period since the parents' arrest have been characterized by anxiety and insecurity, the circumstances have been quite incomprehensible to them. It is evident that such refugee children suffer serious perhaps lifelong, sequelae, psychological as well as social. These findings revealed that 78 percent of the child refugees from Latin America living in Denmark suffered emotional or somatic symptoms
